| 1 | A Prospective Randomized Multicenter Controlled Trial on Salvianolate for Treatment of Unstable Angina Pectoris in A Chinese Elderly Population显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of salvianolate in elderly patients with unstable angina pectoris(UAP). Methods: A prospective double-blind randomized placebo-controlled multicenter trial in elderly patients with UAP from 13 third-grade class-A hospitals in China was performed. A total of 318 patients were randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to an experimental group(160 patients) and a control group(158 patients). The experimental group was treated with salvianolate for 14 days on the basis of conventional medicine, and the control group was given a placebo for 14 days with the same criteria. Follow-up was lasted 28 days in both groups. The primary endpoint was biweekly frequency of angina pectoris attacks. The secondary endpoints included biweekly dosage of nitroglycerin, the Seattle Angina Questionnaire, angina pectoris severity and duration, myocardial injury markers, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP), as well as major adverse cardiovascular events(MACEs). Safety was assessed according to adverse events and serious adverse events. Results: Baseline characteristics were similar between treatment groups. Compared with those in the control group, the frequency of biweekly angi na attacks(2.92 vs. 4.08, P =0.025), th e biweekly dosage of nitroglycerin, as well as the severity and duration of angina attacks(P <0.01) were reduced by salvianolate. The Seattle Angina Questionnaire score was also significantly improved in the experimental group than in the control group(P <0.05). No significant differences were observed between the two groups with respect to the incidence of MACEs. Salvianolate was well tolerated. | 2 | Serum Uric Acid is Associated with the Predicted Risk of Prevalent Cardiovascular Disease in a Community-dwelling Population without Diabetes显示文摘Objective To examine the association between serum uric acid levels and cardiovascular disease risk among individuals without diabetes. Methods We investigated the association between serum uric acid levels and the risk of prevalent cardiometabolic diseases, 10-year Framingham risk for coronary heart disease, and 10-year risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases(ASCVD) among 8,252 participants aged ≥ 40 years without diabetes from Jiading district, Shanghai, China. Results Body mass index, waist circumference, blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, blood pressure, and serum lipids increased progressively across the sex-specific quartiles of uric acid(all P trend < 0.05). Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile, those in the higher quartiles had a significantly higher prevalence of obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia(all P trend < 0.05). A fully adjusted logistic regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had an increased risk of predicted cardiovascular disease compared with those in the lowest quartile of uric acid. The multivariate adjusted odds ratios(ORs) [95% confidence intervals(CIs)] for the highest quartiles for high Framingham risk were 3.00(2.00-4.50) in men and 2.95(1.08-8.43) in women. The multivariate adjusted ORs(95% CIs) for the highest quartile for high ASCVD risk were 1.93(1.17-3.17) in men and 4.53(2.57-7.98) in women. | 3 | The Cambrian sedimentary characteristics and their implications for oil and gas exploration in north margin of Middle-Upper Yangtze Plate显示文摘Using data from tens of measured and observed outcrop successions,thin rock slices and sample analyses,we comprehensively studied the Cambrian sedimentary environments and evolutionary characteristics in the north margin of the Middle-Upper Yangtze Plate.During the Cambrian,platform,slope,and deep sea basin environments were developed in the study area.On the platform,both clastic rocks and carbonate rocks were deposited.Clastic rocks mainly occur in the Lower Cambrian,and were deposited in marine shore and shelf environments.Carbonate rocks are dominant in the Middle and Upper Cambrian,and were deposited in the open platform,restricted platform,tidal flat,beach,and reef environments.Carbonate gravity flow deposits were developed on the slope.In the basin,mainly black shales and chert beds were deposited.The Cambrian represents one large transgression-regression cycle,and maximum transgression occurred in the Qiongzhusi Age of the Early Cambrian.Tectonics and sea level fluctuations had important impacts on sedimentary environments.The Chengkou-Fangxian-Xiangfan Fracture controlled the position of the platform,slope and basin,as well as the silica supply for chert deposition in basin.Sea level fluctuations controlled types of sediments and sedimentary facies on the platform.In the study area,there are good reservoir rocks,including dolomites,grainstones,debris flow deposits,sandstones,and conglomerates;there are good source rocks,including black shales,dark micrites,and chert beds;and there are also good reservoir-source rock assemblages.The hydrocarbon potential of the study area is great. | YU KuanHong JIN ZhenKui SU Kui DONG XiaoDong ZHANG Wei DU HongYu CHEN Ying ZHANG WeiDan | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,6: | 9 |

| 5 | Investigation of Solidification and Segregation Characteristics of Cast Ni-Base Superalloy K417G显示文摘Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) analysis, isothermal solidification experiment and Thermo-Calc simulation were employed to investigate solidification characteristics of K417 G Ni-base superalloy. Electron probe microanalysis(EPMA) was employed to analyze the segregation characteristics. Liquidus,solidus and the formation temperatures of main phases were measured. In the process of solidification,the volume fraction of liquid dropped dramatically in the initial stage, while the dropping rate became very low in the final stage due to severe segregation of positive segregation elements into the residual liquid. The solidification began with the formation of primary γ. Then with solidification proceeding, Ti and Mo were enriched in the liquid interdendrite, which resulted in the precipitation of MC carbides in the interdendrite. Al accumulated into liquid at the initial stage, but gathered to solid later due to the precipitation of γ/γ’ eutectic at the intermediate stage of solidification. However, Co tended to segregate toward the solid phase. In the case of K417 G alloy, combining DSC analysis and isothermal solidification experiment is a good way to investigate the solidification characteristics. | 11 | Adsorption and mechanistic study of the invasive plant-derived biochar functionalized with CaAl-LDH for Eu(Ⅲ) in water显示文摘Herein,we developed the invasive plant-derived biochar (IPB) functionalized with CaAl-LDH at five mass ratios using a physical mixture method,assessed their adsorption perform for Eu(Ⅲ),and explored the relative mechanisms.Results show that the IPB successfully loaded CaAl-LDH in five composites and their Eu(Ⅲ) sorption affinities were strongly affected by solution p H,contact time,temperature,and the mass ratio of LDH and IPB.All the sorpiton process for Eu(Ⅲ) occurred on the heterogeneous surface of five composites and the boundary layer diffusion limited the chemical sorption rate.Interestingly,the CaAl-LDH/IPB composite with high ratio of IPB had higher sorption capacity than the one with high ratio of LDH due to larger porosity of the former.Three mechanisms containing ion exchange between Al and Eu ions,surface complexation with carboxyl-and oxygen-containing functional groups,and precipitation were involved in the Eu(Ⅲ) sorption,but the dominant sorption mechanism for each CaAl-LDH/IPB composite differed with different mass ratio of CaAl-LDH and IPB.In composite with more IPB (e.g.,CaAl-LDH/IPB-13),both ion exchange and surface complexes dominated the sorption process and the intensity of Eu^3+ was identified with the one of Eu2O3.Whereas in composites with high LDH,ion exchange dominated the sorption and the intensity of Eu^3+ was obviously higher than the one of Eu_2O_3.This research will provide a new perspective for the application of the LDH/biochar materials. | Shengbo Li Lijia Dong Zuofu Wei Guodong Sheng Kui Du Baowei Hu | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10: | 5 |
| 12 | Association between Lipoprotein(a) Levels and Metabolic Syndrome in a Middle-aged and Elderly Chinese Cohort显示文摘Objective The association between lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)] levels and metabolic syndrome(MetS) remains uncertain, especially in the Asian population. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the association between Lp(a) levels and MetS in a middle-aged and elderly Chinese cohort. Methods A cross-sectional study of 10,336 Chinese adults aged 40 years or older was conducted in Jiading District, Shanghai, China. Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the association between serum Lp(a) levels and MetS. Results In the overall population, 37.5% of participants had MetS. Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile of serum Lp(a) levels, those in the highest quartile had a lower prevalence of MetS(30.9% vs. 46.9%, P for trend < 0.0001). Multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that compared with participants in the bottom quartile of serum Lp(a) levels, those in the top quartile had decreased odds ratio(OR) for prevalent MetS [multivariate-adjusted OR 0.45(95% confidence interval 0.39-0.51);P < 0.0001]. Additionally, Lp(a) level was conversely associated with the risk of central obesity, high fasting glucose, high triglycerides, and low HDL cholesterol, but not with hypertension. Stratified analyses suggested that increasing levels of Lp(a) was associated with decreased risk of MetS in all the subgroups. | 13 | A Second-Order Method for the Electromagnetic Scattering from a Large Cavity显示文摘In this paper,we study the electromagnetic scattering from a two dimen- sional large rectangular open cavity embedded in an infinite ground plane,which is modelled by Helmholtz equations.By introducing nonlocal transparent boundary con- ditions,the problem in the open cavity is reduced to a bounded domain problem.A hypersingular integral operator and a weakly singular integral operator are involved in the TM and TE cases,respectively.A new second-order Toeplitz type approximation and a second-order finite difference scheme are proposed for approximating the hyper- singular integral operator on the aperture and the Helmholtz in the cavity,respectively. | 14 | Microstructure of Carbides at Grain Boundaries in Nickel Based Superalloys显示文摘It is well known that carbides at grain boundaries play an important role in affecting mechanical properties of nickel based superalloys. In order to deeply understand the relationship between grain boundary structures and properties, in this work, we have investigated the microstructure of grain boundaries with different misorientation angles in bicrystals of nickel based superalloys. It is found that the bicrystals with smaller misorientation angles contain denser M 23 C 6 but sparse MC particles at grain boundaries, and this kind of bicrystals presents longer stress rupture lives. It was observed that MC carbides were decorated by M 23 C 6 and M 6 C particles at grain boundaries. The formation of these carbide particles, therefore, is likely due to the local fluctuation of chemical composition around MC carbides. | 16 | Direct numerical simulation of low Reynolds number turbulent air-water transport in fuel cell flow channel显示文摘With performance improvement of low-temperature fuel cell(FC), high reactant supply and water generation rates may induce air-water turbulence in the FC flow channel. In this research, an air-water turbulent direct numerical simulation(DNS) model is developed to simulate different droplet sizes,locations and interactions in the air-water transport processes comprehensively. It is found that a larger droplet breaks up more easily in turbulence, and a smaller droplet tends to keep lumped. The droplet at corner does not break up because it is away from channel center. The droplet interaction simulations show that the small droplets merge to form slugs, but still keep lumped in turbulence. It is suggested that two conditions need to be satisfied for droplet break up in FC flow channel, one is turbulent flow, and another is that the droplet needs to be large enough and occupy the center region of flow channel to suffer sufficient turbulence fluctuations. | 17 | Analysis of Vitamin K_3 by a Fluorescent Spectroelectrochemistry Method显示文摘A simple and sensitive spectroelectrochemistry method for the determination of vitamin K 3 was developed by combining electrolysis and fluoremetry. This method was based on that vitamin K 3 was reduced at a glassy carbon electrode, and its product with characteristic fluorescence at 420 nm was determined with excitation wavelength at 309 nm. Under optimized electrochemical reaction conditions and fluorescent experiment parameters, the fluores-cence intensity was proportional to the concentration of vitamin K 3 in a range from 3.50×10 ?7 to 1.05×10 ?5 mol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9991, and detection limit was estimated to be 7.50×10 ?8 mol/L at a signal/noise ra-tio of 3. The relative standard deviation was less than 4.3%(n=5) and the recovery was in a range of 97%―105% for the determination of vitamin K 3 in pharmaceutical preparations. | 18 | Serum uric acid and risk of incident diabetes in middle-aged and elderly Chinese adults: prospective cohort study显示文摘The association between serum uric acid and the risk of incident diabetes in Chinese adults remains unknown.This study aimed to investigate this association in a community-dwelling population aged≥40 years in Shanghai,China.Oral glucose tole3rance test was conducted during baseline and follow-up visits.Relative risk regression was utilized to examine the associations between baseline gender-specific serum uric acid levels and incident diabetes risk.A total of 613(10.3%)incident diabetes cases were identified during the follow-up visit after 4.5 years.Fasting plasma glucose,postload glucose,and glycated hemoglobin A1c during the follow-up visit progressively increased across the sex-specific quartiles of serum uric acid(all Ps<0.05).The incidence rate of diabetes increased across the quartiles of serum uric acid(7.43%,8.77%,11.47%,and 13.43%).Multivariate adjusted regression analysis revealed that individuals in the highest quartile had 1.36-fold increased risk of diabetes compared with those in the lowest quartile of serum uric acid(odds ratio(95%confidence interval)=1.36(1.06−1.73)).Stratified analysis indicated that the association was only observed in women.Accordingly,serum uric acid was associated with the increased risk of incident diabetes among middle-aged and elderly Chinese women. | Di Cheng Chunyan Hu Rui Du Hongyan Qi Lin Lin Xueyan Wu Lina Ma Kui Peng Mian Li Min Xu Yu Xu Yufang Bi Weiqing Wang Yuhong Chen Jieli Lu | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6: | 3 |

The 1/3 < 111] and 1/6 < 211] step dislocations on coherent twin boundaries reveal the interactions of glissile 1/2 < 101> dislocations with the coherent twin boundaries.An abnormal stacking fault was found adjacent to the coherent twin boundary.
