3Regulation of FN1 degradation by the p62/SQSTM1-dependent autophagy-lysosome pathway in HNSCC显示文摘Epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)is involved in both physiological and pathological processes.EMT plays an essential role in the invasion,migration and metastasis of tumours.Autophagy has been shown to regulate EMT in a variety of cancers but not in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Herein,we investigated whether autophagy also regulates EMT in HNSCC.Analyses of clinical data from three public databases revealed that higher expression of fibronectin-1(FN1)correlated with poorer prognosis and higher tumour pathological grade in HNSCC.Data from SCC-25 cells demonstrated that rapamycin and Earle’s balanced salt solution(EBSS)promoted autophagy,leading to increased FN1 degradation,while 3-methyladenine(3-MA),bafilomycin A1(Baf A1)and chloroquine(CQ)inhibited autophagy,leading to decreased FN1 degradation.On the other hand,autophagic flux was blocked in BECN1 mutant HNSCC Cal-27 cells,and rapamycin did not promote autophagy in Cal-27 cells;also in addition,FN1 degradation was inhibited.Further,we identified FN1 degradation through the lysosome-dependent degradation pathway using the proteasome inhibitor MG132.Data from immunoprecipitation assays also showed that p62/SQSTM1 participated as an autophagy adapter in the autophagy–lysosome pathway of FN1 degradation.Finally,data from immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that the interaction between p62 and FN1 was abolished in p62 mutant MCF-7 and A2780 cell lines.These results indicate that autophagy significantly promotes the degradation of FN1.Collectively,our findings clearly suggest that FN1,as a marker of EMT,has adverse effects on HNSCC and elucidate the autophagy–lysosome degradation mechanism of FN1.Xinchen Liu Lin Meng Xing Li Daowei Li Qilin Liu Yumeng Chen Xiangwei Li Wenhuan Bu Hongchen Sun 2020International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,4:7

6Hierarchical Porous RGO/PEDOT/PANI Hybrid for Planar/Linear Supercapacitor with Outstanding Flexibility and Stability显示文摘Many hybrid electrodes for supercapacitors(SCs)are a reckless combination without proper structural design that keeps them from fulfilling their potential.Herein,we design a reduced graphene oxide/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/polyaniline(RGO/PEDOT/PANI)hybrid with hierarchical and porous structure for high-performance SCs,where components fully harness their advantages,forming an interconnected and conductive framework with substantial reactive sites.Thus,this hybrid achieves a high capacitance of 535 F g^−1 along with good rate capability and cyclability.The planar SC based on this hybrid deliver an energy density of 26.89 Wh kg^−1 at a power density of 800 W kg^−1.The linear SC developed via modifying a cotton yarn with the hybrid exhibits good flexibility and structural stability,which operates normally after arbitrary deformations.This work provides a beneficial reference for developing SCs.Fuwei Liu Luoyuan Xie Li Wang Wei Chen Wei Wei Xian Chen Shaojuan Luo Lei Dong Qilin Dai Yang Huang Lei Wang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:5
7Comparative evaluation of the impact of GRAPES and MM5 meteorology on CMAQ prediction over Pearl River Delta, China显示文摘The community multiscale air quality (CMAQ) model was used to forecast air quality over the Pearl River Delta region from December 2013 to January 2014.The pollution forecasting performance of CMAQ coupled with two different meteorological models,i.e.,the global/regional assimilation and prediction system (GRAPES) and the fifth-generation mesoscale model (MM5),was assessed by comparison with observational data.The effects of meteorological factors and physicochemical processes on the forecast results were discussed through process analysis.The results showed that both models exhibited good performance but that of GRAPES-CMAQ was better.GRAPES was superior in predicting the overall variation tendencies of meteorological fields,but it showed large deviations in atmospheric pressure and wind speed.This contributed to the higher correlation coefficients of the pollutants with GRAPES-CMAQ but with greater deviations.The underestimations of nitrate and ammonium salt contributed to the underestimations of both particulate matter and extinction coefficients.Source emissions made the only positive contributions to surface layer SO2,CO,and NO.It was found that O3 originated primarily from horizontal and vertical transport and that its consumption was predominantly via chemical processes.Conversely,NO2 was found derived primarily from chemical production.Tao Deng Yiang Chen Qilin Wan Yanxia Zhang Xuejiao Deng Yanyan Huang Guangfeng Dai Fei Li 2018Particuology2018,16,5:4
8On-chip readout plasmonic mid-IR gas sensor显示文摘Gas identification and concentration measurements are important for both understanding and monitoring a variety of phenomena from industrial processes to environmental change.Here a novel mid-IR plasmonic gas sensor with on-chip direct readout is proposed based on unity integration of narrowband spectral response,localized field enhancement and thermal detection.A systematic investigation consisting of both optical and thermal simulations for gas sensing is presented for the first time in three sensing modes including refractive index sensing,absorption sensing and spectroscopy,respectively.It is found that a detection limit less than 100 ppm for CO2 could be realized by a combination of surface plasmon resonance enhancement and metal-organic framework gas enrichment with an enhancement factor over 8000 in an ultracompact optical interaction length of only several microns.Moreover,on-chip spectroscopy is demonstrated with the compressive sensing algorithm via a narrowband plasmonic sensor array.An array of 80 such sensors with an average resonance linewidth of 10 nm reconstructs the CO2 molecular absorption spectrum with the estimated resolution of approximately 0.01 nm far beyond the state-of-the-art spectrometer.The novel device design and analytical method are expected to provide a promising technique for extensive applications of distributed or portable mid-IR gas sensor.Qin Chen Li Liang Qilin Zheng Yaxin Zhang Long Wen 2020Opto-Electronic Advances2020,3,7:4
9Impacts of different methylprednisolone administration routes in patients with sudden hearing loss or Meniere’s disease显示文摘Background:Evidence suggests that glucocorticoids are important in the treatment of sudden hearing loss(SHL)and Meniere’s disease(MD).However,different glucocorticoid administration methods may have a significant impact on treatment outcomes.Objective:This study aimed to investigate effects of different glucocorticoid administration methods on sudden hearing loss and Meniere’s disease.Methods:In this study,glucocorticoids were administered orally in 18 patients,by retroauricular injection in 15 patients and by intratympanic injection in 15 patients.White blood cell(WBC)count,serum Kt,fasting plasma glucose(FPG),body temperature,heart rate and blood pressure were used to evaluate effects of glucocorticoids on patients with hearing loss.Visual analog scale(VAS)of pain and sleep disorders were also surveyed,and pure tone audiometry(PTA)results were compared among groups to evaluate efficacy of different glucocorticoids administration methods.Result:WBC count,heart rate and blood pressure were higher in patients taking oral glucocorticoids,while body temperature,serum Kt and FPG levels did not change in all three groups.However,patients who received intratympanic injection of glucocorticoids experienced more pain,while those taking oral glucocorticoids reported more sleep impairment.Treatment efficacy on hearing loss was not significantly different among the three groups.Conclusion:These findings suggest that systemic glucocorticoid administration can result in greater whole body responses than local administration,but with similar hearing treatment efficacy.Dan Chen Zhipeng Li Qilin Zhou Yubin Chen Luoying Yang Jingqian Tan Xiangli Zeng Peng Li 2020Journal of Otology2020,15,4:4
10Study of Aircraft Icing Warning Algorithm Based on Millimeter Wave Radar显示文摘In order to avoid accidents due to aircraft icing, an algorithm for identifying supercooled water was studied. Specifically, a threshold method based on millimeter wave radar, lidar, and radiosonde was used to retrieve the coverage area of supercooled water and a fuzzy logic algorithm was used to classify the observed meteorological targets. The macrophysical characteristics of supercooled water could be accurately identified by combing the threshold method with the fuzzy logic algorithm. In order to acquire microphysical characteristics of supercooled water in a mixed phase, the unimodal spectral distribution of supercooled water was extracted from a bimodal or trimodal spectral distribution of a mixed phase cloud, which was then used to retrieve the effective radius and liquid water content of supercooled water by using an empirical formula. 11Reversible Zn^(2+) Insertion in Tungsten Ion-Activated Titanium Dioxide Nanocrystals for Electrochromic Windows显示文摘Zinc-anode-based electrochromic devices(ZECDs) are emerging as the next-generation energy-e cient transparent electronics. We report anatase W-doped TiO_(2) nanocrystals(NCs) as a Zn^(2+) active electrochromic material. It demonstrates that the W doping in TiO_(2) highly reduces the Zn^(2+) intercalation energy,thus triggering the electrochromism. 13Gene expression dynamics during the gonocyte to spermatogonia transition and spermatogenesis in the domestic yak显示文摘Background:Spermatogenesis is a cellular differentiation process that includes three major events:mitosis of spermatogonia,meiosis of spermatocytes and spermiogenesis.Steady-state spermatogenesis relies on functions of spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs).Establishing and maintaining a foundational SSC pool is essential for continued spermatogenesis in mammals.Currently,our knowledge about SSC and spermatogenesis is severely limited in domestic animals.Results:In the present study,we examined transcriptomes of testes from domestic yaks at four different stages(3,5,8 and 24 months of age)and attempted to identify genes that are associated with key developmental events of spermatogenesis.Histological analyses showed that the most advanced germ cells within seminiferous tubules of testes from 3,5,8 and 24 months old yaks were gonocytes,spermatogonia,spermatocytes and elongated spermatids,respectively.RNA-sequencing(RNA-seq)analyses revealed that 11904,4381 and 2459 genes were differentially expressed during the gonocyte to spermatogonia transition,the mitosis to meiosis transition and the meiosis to post-meiosis transition.Further analyses identified a list of candidate genes than may regulate these important cellular processes.CXCR4,a previously identified SSC niche factor in mouse,was one of the up-regulated genes in the 5 months old yak testis.Results of immunohistochemical staining confirmed that CXCR4 was exclusively expressed in gonocytes and a subpopulation of spermatogonia in the yak testis.Conclusions:Together,these findings demonstrated histological changes of postnatal testis development in the domestic yak.During development of spermatogonial lineage,meiotic and haploid germ cells are supported by dynamic transcriptional regulation of gene expression.Our transcriptomic analyses provided a list of candidate genes that potentially play crucial roles in directing the establishment of SSC and spermatogenesis in yak.Guowen Wang Yongchang Li Qilin Yang Shangrong Xu Shike Ma Rongge Yan Ruina Zhang Gongxue Jia Deqiang Ai Qi’en Yang 2019Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,4:3
14Selective excitation of two-wave structure depending on crystal orientation under shock compression显示文摘Single crystals subjected to shock compression exhibit responses with distinct two-wave structures for certain crystal orientations.However,little is known to date regarding how the shock response depends on crystal orientation,and especially why the two-wave structure depends on the crystal orientation.In this work,molecular dynamics simulations of shock compressions in copper single crystals are performed to investigate the orientation dependence of shock responses and the corresponding deformation mechanisms.Four copper single crystals with[001],[011],[012],and[123]crystal orientations along the depth direction are investigated.The[011],[012],and[123]crystal orientations of copper single crystals show distinct two-wave structures in their shock responses,while such a two-wave structure in the shock response is not seen for those orientations having a[001]crystal orientation.The potential causes are analyzed by considering the propagation velocities of both elastic and plastic waves.We develop a technique for identifying twin structures in face-centered cubic crystals and this technique can effectively identify the twin structure.The morphology of shock-induced defects(e.g.,dislocations and twins)shows the significant dependence of crystal orientation and the mechanisms behind these are discussed in detail.Finally,the Johnson-Cook constitutive model describing dynamic deformations at high temperatures and high strain rates is used to analyze the relationships between the shock responses and microscopic defects.The predictions of the Johnson-Cook constitutive model are consistent with the results of the molecular dynamics simulations.QiLin Xiong Takahiro Shimada Takayuki Kitamura ZhenHuan Li 2020Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,11:3
15Abnormal intra-network architecture in extra-striate cortices in amblyopia: a resting state fMRI study显示文摘Background:Amblyopia(lazy eye)is one of the most common causes of monocular visual impairment.Intensive investigation has shown that amblyopes suffer from a range of deficits not only in the primary visual cortex but also the extra-striate visual cortex.However,amblyopic brain processing deficits in large-scale information networks especially in the visual network remain unclear.Methods:Through resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-fMRI),we studied the functional connectivity and efficiency of the brain visual processing networks in 18 anisometropic amblyopic patients and 18 healthy controls(HCs).Results:We found a loss of functional correlation within the higher visual network(HVN)and the visuospatial network(VSN)in amblyopes.Additionally,compared with HCs,amblyopic patients exhibited disruptions in local efficiency in the V3v(third visual cortex,ventral part)and V4(fourth visual cortex)of the HVN,as well as in the PFt,hIP3(human intraparietal area 3),and BA7p(Brodmann area 7 posterior)of the VSN.No significant alterations were found in the primary visual network(PVN).Conclusion:Our results indicate that amblyopia results in an intrinsic decrease of both network functional correlations and local efficiencies in the extra-striate visual networks.Zhuo Lu Yufeng Huang Qilin Lu Lixia Feng Benedictor Alexander Nguchu Yanming Wang Huijuan Wang Geng Li Yifeng Zhou Bensheng Qiu Jiawei Zhou Xiaoxiao Wang 2019Eye and Vision2019,6,1:3
16SNP-based linkage mapping for validation of adult plant stripe rust resistance QTL in common wheat cultivar Chakwal 86显示文摘Wheat crops in China are constantly challenged by stripe rust. Deployment of cultivars with diverse resistances is the best strategy to control the disease. A recombinant inbred line(RIL) population derived from a cross between the resistant cultivar Chakwal 86 and susceptible landrace Mingxian 169 was studied in multiple environments to examine the underlying genetics and to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) for stripe rust resistance.One hundred and twenty-eight RILs were genotyped with wheat 35 K SNP array and a genome-wide linkage map with 1480 polymorphic SNP markers, or bins, was constructed.Two major QTL on chromosomes 1BL and 3BS, and one minor QTL on 6BS had significant effects in reducing stripe rust severity. The QTL were validated using composite interval mapping(CIM) and inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM). These methods explained59.0%–74.1% of the phenotype variation in disease response. The QTL on chromosome 1 BL was confirmed to be Yr29/Lr46 and the one on 3BS was the resistance allele identified in CIMMYT germplasm but was not Yr30/Sr2. The QTL on 6BS probably corresponded to previously known QTL. RILs with combined QTL were more resistant than those with single or no QTL. Kompetitive allele-specific PCR(KASP) assays for the QTL with largest effect QTL on chromosome 3BS were performed on a subset of RILs and 150 unrelated wheat lines. 17Synthesis and photocatalytic activity of ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites显示文摘ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites were synthesized by doping Au_(25) nanoclusters into the porous Zn O nanospheres. It was notable that the ultrasmall Au_(25) nanoclusters possessed uniform sizes and fine dispersibility on the porous ZnO supports. A considerable correlation between the loading of Au_(25) nanoclusters and the photocatalytic activity was found. Compared with the pure ZnO nanospheres, the ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites exhibited more efficient photocatalytic activity in terms of degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB) in an aqueous solution. In addition, the possible photocatalytic mechanisms are discussed in this work. 18Cytoplasmic and nuclear genome variations of rice hybrids and their parents inform the trajectory and strategy of hybrid rice breeding显示文摘The male sterility(MS)line is a prerequisite for efficient production of hybrid seeds in rice,a self-pollinating species.MS line breeding is pivotal for hybrid rice improvement.Understanding the historical breeding tra-jectory will help to improve hybrid rice breeding strategies.Maternally inherited cytoplasm is an appro-priate tool for phylogenetic reconstruction and pedigree tracing in rice hybrids.In this study,we analyzed the cytoplasmic genomes of 1495 elite hybrid rice varieties and identified five major types of cytoplasm,which correspond to different hybrid production systems.As the cytoplasm donors for hybrids,461 MS lines were also divided into five major types based on cytoplasmic and nuclear genomic architecture.Spe-cific core accessions cooperating with different fertility-associated genes drove the sequence divergence of MS lines.Dozens to hundreds of convergent and divergent selective sweeps spanning several agro-nomic trait-associated genes were identified among different types of MS lines.We further analyzed the cross patterns between different types of MS lines and their corresponding restorers.This study system-atically analyzed the cytoplasmic genomes of rice hybrids revealed their relationships with nuclear ge-nomes of MS lines,and illustrated the trajectory of hybrid rice breeding and the strategies for breeding different types of MS lines providing new insights for future improvement of hybrid rice.Zhoulin Gu Zhou Zhu Zhen Li Qilin Zhan Qi Feng Congcong Zhou Qiang Zhao Yan Zhao Xiaojian Peng Bingxin Dai Rongrong Sun Yan Li Hengyun Lu Lei Zhang Tao Huang Junyi Gong Danfeng Lv Xuehui Huang Bin Han 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,12:2
19Investigation on induction brazing of profiled cBN wheel for grinding of Ti-6Al-4V显示文摘Profiled monolayer cBN wheel was induction brazed for grinding of titanium dovetail slot in this study.Aimed at acquiring a uniform temperature distribution along the profiled surface and reducing the thermal deformation of the brazed wheel,a finite element model was established to investigate the temperature uniformity during induction brazing.A suitable induction coil and the related working parameters were designed and chosen based on the simulation results.Ag-Cu-Ti alloy and cBN grains were applied in the induction brazing experiment.The results showed geometric deformation of the brazed wheel was no more than 0.01 mm and chemical reaction layer were found on the brazed joint interface.Further validation tests were carried out by grinding of Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy.Compared to the electroplated wheel,the brazed wheel showed better performance such as low specific grinding energy and good ground quality in grinding of Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy.Abrasion wear was found to be the main failure mode for the induction brazed wheel,while adhesion and grains pull-out were the main failure mode for the electroplated wheel.Qilin LI Kai DING Weining LEI Jiajia CHEN Qingshan HE Zhenzhen CHEN 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,4:2
20A Z-scheme heterojunction of ZnO/CDots/C_(3)N^(4) for strengthened photoresponsive bacteria-killing and acceleration of wound healing显示文摘The abuse of antibiotics is leading to the emergence of resistant bacteria.In this work,a drug-free composite of ZnO/CDots/g-C3N4 with Z-scheme heterojunction was developed,which was employed to kill bacteria effectively within a very short time under the irradiation of visible light due to the enhanced photocatalytic and photothermal effects.In this system,the CDots acted as a bridge between g-C3N4 and ZnO,effectively inhibiting the recombination of photo-generated electrons with holes and consequently enhancing the photocatalytic properties.In addition,CDots endowed the system with excellent photothermal effects.As a result,the antibacterial efficacy of ZnO/CDots/g-C3N4 composite against S.aureus and E.coli reached up to 99.97%and 99.99%respectively,after 15 min of visible light irradiation,due to the synergistic action of photo-inspired radical oxygen species and hyperthermia.The Zn ions released from the composite promoted the growth of fibroblasts,which accelerated the wound healing process.Yiming Xiang Qilin Zhou Zhaoyang Li Zhenduo Cui Xiangmei Liu Yanqin Liang Shengli Zhu Yufeng Zheng Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Shuilin Wu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,22:2
