1Efects of physical and chemical characteristics of surface sediments in the formation of shallow lake algae-induced black bloom显示文摘Surface sediments are closely related to lake black blooms. The dissolved oxygen(DO) distribution and its penetration depth in surface sediments as well as the migration and transformation of redox sensitive elements such as Fe and S at the sediment-water interface are important factors that could influence the formation of the black bloom. In this study, dredged and undredged sediment cores with diferent surface properties were used to simulate black blooms in the laboratory. The Micro Profiling System was employed to explore features of the DO and ∑ H2 S distribution at the sediment-water interface. Physical and chemical characteristics in sediments and pore waters were also analyzed. The results showed that sediment dredging efectively suppressed the black blooms. In the undredged treatment, DO penetration depth was only 50 μm. Fe2+concentrations, ∑ H2 S concentrations, and ∑ H2 S production rates were remarkably higher in surface sediments and pore waters compared to control and dredged treatments. Furthermore, depletion of DO and accumulation of Fe2+and ∑ H2 S in surface sediments and pore waters provided favorable redox environments and necessary material sources for the blooms. 3Recent Development on Theory and Application of Variable Gauge Rolling, a Review显示文摘Variable gauge rolling(VGR) is a new technology for producing the materials which have the advantage of lightweight due to optimized thickness according to load distribution. The new progresses in the theoretical research and application of VGR are reviewed in this paper. Two basic equations, VGR-f and VGR-s, were deduced. The former is a new differential equation of force equilibrium, and the latter is a new form of formula for the law of mass conservation.Both of them provide a new base for the development of VGR analysis. As the examples of VGR's application, tailor rolled blank(TRB) and longitudinal profile(LP) plate are introduced. Now TRBs are only produced in Germany and China, and have been used in the automotive manufacturing to play an important role in lightweight design. LP plates have been used in shipbuilding and bridge construction, and promised a bright prospect in reducing construction weight.In addition, new technologies and applications of VGR emerge constantly. Tailor welded strips and tailor rolled strips with variable thickness across the width can be used for progressive die and roll forming. The 3D profiled blank can be obtained by two-step rolling process. Tailor tubes with the variable wall thickness are an efficient way to reduce the weight. The blank with tailored thickness and mechanical property is also under development. 4Raindrop Size Distribution Parameters Retrieved from Guangzhou S-band Polarimetric Radar Observations显示文摘According to the statistical shape–slope(μ–Λ) relationship observed for the first time by several 2 D-Video-Distrometers(2 DVD) in southern China, a constrained gamma(C-G) model was proposed for the retrieval of rain drop size distributions(DSDs) from Guangzhou S-band polarimetric radar observations. Two typical precipitation processes were selected to verify the accuracy of the retrieval scheme. The μ–Λ relationship: Λ = 0.0241μ2 + 0.867μ + 2.453 was obtained based on the 2 DVD observation results from at Huizhou Longmen station, which is a very representative location in the area. Relying on the Guangzhou polarimetric radar measurements of radar reflectivity(ZHH) and differential reflectivity(ZDR), the gamma(Γ) size distribution parameters(N0, μ, and Λ) can be retrieved by the C-G model retrieval scheme. The results show that the Guangzhou polarimetric radar retrievals of DSDs were close to the2 DVD observations at Guangzhou Maofengshan station. The rain rate, mass mean diameter, and normalized intercept parameter of radar retrievals were in good agreement with the 2 DVD observations, and the relative errors were less than 10%. The overall accuracy of the retrieval scheme was high. The retrieval scheme has established the relationship between the polarimetric radar measurements and gamma size distribution parameters. 5ZnO@MOF@PANI core-shell nanoarrays on carbon cloth for high-performance supercapacitor electrodes显示文摘Hierarchical ZnO@metal-organic framework @polyaniline(ZnO@MOF@PANI) core-shell nanorod arrays on carbon cloth has been fabricated by combining electrodeposition and hydrothermal method. Well-ordered Zn O nanorods not only act as a scaffold for growth of MOF/PANI shell but also as Zn source for the formation of MOF. The morphology of ZnO@MOF@PANI composite is greatly influenced by the number of PANI electrodeposition cycles. Their structural and electrochemical properties were characterized with different techniques. The results indicate that the Zn O@MOF@PANI with 13 CV cycles of PANI deposition demonstrates the maximum specific capacitance of 340.7 F g-1 at 1.0 A g-1, good rate capability with84.3% capacitance retention from 1.0 to 10 A g-1 and excellent cycling life of 82.5% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles at high current density of 2.0 A g-1. 7Regulation of FN1 degradation by the p62/SQSTM1-dependent autophagy-lysosome pathway in HNSCC显示文摘Epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)is involved in both physiological and pathological processes.EMT plays an essential role in the invasion,migration and metastasis of tumours.Autophagy has been shown to regulate EMT in a variety of cancers but not in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Herein,we investigated whether autophagy also regulates EMT in HNSCC.Analyses of clinical data from three public databases revealed that higher expression of fibronectin-1(FN1)correlated with poorer prognosis and higher tumour pathological grade in HNSCC.Data from SCC-25 cells demonstrated that rapamycin and Earle’s balanced salt solution(EBSS)promoted autophagy,leading to increased FN1 degradation,while 3-methyladenine(3-MA),bafilomycin A1(Baf A1)and chloroquine(CQ)inhibited autophagy,leading to decreased FN1 degradation.On the other hand,autophagic flux was blocked in BECN1 mutant HNSCC Cal-27 cells,and rapamycin did not promote autophagy in Cal-27 cells;also in addition,FN1 degradation was inhibited.Further,we identified FN1 degradation through the lysosome-dependent degradation pathway using the proteasome inhibitor MG132.Data from immunoprecipitation assays also showed that p62/SQSTM1 participated as an autophagy adapter in the autophagy–lysosome pathway of FN1 degradation.Finally,data from immunoprecipitation assays demonstrated that the interaction between p62 and FN1 was abolished in p62 mutant MCF-7 and A2780 cell lines.These results indicate that autophagy significantly promotes the degradation of FN1.Collectively,our findings clearly suggest that FN1,as a marker of EMT,has adverse effects on HNSCC and elucidate the autophagy–lysosome degradation mechanism of FN1.Xinchen Liu Lin Meng Xing Li Daowei Li Qilin Liu Yumeng Chen Xiangwei Li Wenhuan Bu Hongchen Sun 2020International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,4:7

14Highly Efficient Synthesis of Environmentally Friendly Ag-modified TiO2 Nanoflowers to Enhance Photocatalytic Performance显示文摘Ag-modified TiO2 nanoflowers were prepared using a two-step process. The experimental process is green and free from contamination and can be synthesized directly at room temperature. Compared with pure TiO2, Ag-modified TiO2 enhances the absorption of visible light and effectively promotes the detachment of photoelectron pairs, Ag-TiO2 has a significantly enhanced visible light response activity to photodecomposition of methyl orange(MO). It is shown that the strong interaction between Ag nanoparticles and TiO2 enhances the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanoflowers. The self-made open-air reactor was used to test the photocatalytic performance of different samples. The results showed that Ag-modified TiO2 nanoflowers had excellent photodegradation ability. 15Epsilon-negative BaTiO_(3)/Cu composites with high thermal conductivity and yet low electrical conductivity显示文摘Epsilon-negative materials with high thermal conductivity and low electrical conductivity are of great importance for high power microwave devices.In this work,BaTiO_(3)/Cu composites,as a class of epsilonnegative materials,are rationally designed to achieve a high thermal conductivity yet maintaining the electrical insulative character.Negative permittivity behavior induced by dielectric resonance and plasma oscillation is observed in these BaTiO_(3)/Cu composites,which can be explained by the Lorentz and Drude model respectively.An outstanding absorption ability is achieved near the zero-cross point of the permittivity.Benefiting from the positive temperature coefficient of resistance and the weak temperature dependence of thermal conductivity in BaTiO_(3)/Cu composites,sample containing 22.3 vol% of Cu content exhibits a thermal conductivity of up to 17.7 W/(m·k)and an electrical conductivity down to 0.0022(Ω cm)^(-1) at 150℃.Therefore,BaTiO_(3)/Cu composite is a promising candidate for applications in electromagnetic attenuation and thermal management.Zhongyang Wang Kai Sun Peitao Xie Yao Liu Qilin Gu Runhua Fan John Wang 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:3
16SNP-based linkage mapping for validation of adult plant stripe rust resistance QTL in common wheat cultivar Chakwal 86显示文摘Wheat crops in China are constantly challenged by stripe rust. Deployment of cultivars with diverse resistances is the best strategy to control the disease. A recombinant inbred line(RIL) population derived from a cross between the resistant cultivar Chakwal 86 and susceptible landrace Mingxian 169 was studied in multiple environments to examine the underlying genetics and to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) for stripe rust resistance.One hundred and twenty-eight RILs were genotyped with wheat 35 K SNP array and a genome-wide linkage map with 1480 polymorphic SNP markers, or bins, was constructed.Two major QTL on chromosomes 1BL and 3BS, and one minor QTL on 6BS had significant effects in reducing stripe rust severity. The QTL were validated using composite interval mapping(CIM) and inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM). These methods explained59.0%–74.1% of the phenotype variation in disease response. The QTL on chromosome 1 BL was confirmed to be Yr29/Lr46 and the one on 3BS was the resistance allele identified in CIMMYT germplasm but was not Yr30/Sr2. The QTL on 6BS probably corresponded to previously known QTL. RILs with combined QTL were more resistant than those with single or no QTL. Kompetitive allele-specific PCR(KASP) assays for the QTL with largest effect QTL on chromosome 3BS were performed on a subset of RILs and 150 unrelated wheat lines. 17Synthesis and photocatalytic activity of ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites显示文摘ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites were synthesized by doping Au_(25) nanoclusters into the porous Zn O nanospheres. It was notable that the ultrasmall Au_(25) nanoclusters possessed uniform sizes and fine dispersibility on the porous ZnO supports. A considerable correlation between the loading of Au_(25) nanoclusters and the photocatalytic activity was found. Compared with the pure ZnO nanospheres, the ZnO-Au_(25) nanocomposites exhibited more efficient photocatalytic activity in terms of degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB) in an aqueous solution. In addition, the possible photocatalytic mechanisms are discussed in this work. 18A Z-scheme heterojunction of ZnO/CDots/C_(3)N^(4) for strengthened photoresponsive bacteria-killing and acceleration of wound healing显示文摘The abuse of antibiotics is leading to the emergence of resistant bacteria.In this work,a drug-free composite of ZnO/CDots/g-C3N4 with Z-scheme heterojunction was developed,which was employed to kill bacteria effectively within a very short time under the irradiation of visible light due to the enhanced photocatalytic and photothermal effects.In this system,the CDots acted as a bridge between g-C3N4 and ZnO,effectively inhibiting the recombination of photo-generated electrons with holes and consequently enhancing the photocatalytic properties.In addition,CDots endowed the system with excellent photothermal effects.As a result,the antibacterial efficacy of ZnO/CDots/g-C3N4 composite against S.aureus and E.coli reached up to 99.97%and 99.99%respectively,after 15 min of visible light irradiation,due to the synergistic action of photo-inspired radical oxygen species and hyperthermia.The Zn ions released from the composite promoted the growth of fibroblasts,which accelerated the wound healing process.Yiming Xiang Qilin Zhou Zhaoyang Li Zhenduo Cui Xiangmei Liu Yanqin Liang Shengli Zhu Yufeng Zheng Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Shuilin Wu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,54,22:2
19Influence of different illuminations with xenon or microwave sulfur lamp on jointing and tillering of wheat显示文摘The emission of microwave sulfur lamp is mainly composed of visible light. The sulfur lamp, producing little infrared radiation, has high efficiency, long duration of illumination and less energy consumption. In order to probe the agricultural application of the lamp, experiments were carried out with wheat (cv. Yangmai 158) to emphatically study illuminating effects of xenon or sulfur lamp on tillering, jointing and net photosynthetic rate during tillering and jointing periods. Results indicated that there is almost no difference in net photosynthetic rate of wheat leaves growing under different lamps. Xenon lamp significantly advanced the time of jointing, decreased number of tillers, number of total leaves per plant and leaf size, as well as inhibited root growth. 20High-power linear-polarization burst-mode all-fibre laser and generation of frequency-adjustable microwave signal显示文摘Narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency is demonstrated by illuminating a photoconductive semiconductor switch(PCSS)with a burst-mode fibre laser.The whole system is composed of a high-power linearly polarized burst-mode pulsed fibre laser and a linear-state PCSS.To obtain a high-performance microwave signal,a desired envelope of burst is necessary and a pulse pre-compensation technique is adopted to avoid envelope distortion induced by the gain-saturation effect.Resulting from the technique,homogenous peak power distribution in each burst is ensured.The maximum energy of the laser burst pulse reaches 200μJ with a burst duration of 100 ns at the average power of 10 W,corresponding to a peak power of 4 kW.When the PCSS is illuminated by the burst-mode fibre laser,narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency(0.80-1.12 GHz)is obtained with a power up to 300 W.To the best of the authors’knowledge,it is the first demonstration of frequency-tuneable narrowband microwave generation based on a fibre laser.The high-power burst-mode fibre laser reported here has great potential for generating high-power arbitrary microwave signals for a great deal of applicable demands such as smart adaptive radar and intelligent high-power microwave systems.Xuan He Bin Zhang Shuailin Liu Jinmei Yao Qilin Wu Yuxin Zhao Tao Xun Linyong Yang Jing Hou 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2:2
