2Effects of surfactants on enzyme-containing reversed micellar system显示文摘With the development of colloid interface and enzyme technologies,enzyme-containing reversed micellar system has been receiving much attention in bioseparation and bioconversion. Because of its high efficiency,it has brought new opportunities for the development of molecular biotechnology. Reversed micelles represent nano-sized aqueous droplets stabilized by surfactant amphiphiles inside the bulk organic solvents. The entrapped enzymes have enhanced activities under those conditions as suited in the lipid bilayers of biological membranes. The fundamentals of enzyme-containing reversed micellar system are described in this paper,with special emphasis on the effects of surfactants varying in concentrations and structures. The latest study progress on the surfactants application in enzyme-containing reversed micelles is reviewed. 3Efficacy and safety of low-dose interleukin-2 in combination with methotrexate in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis:a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled phase 2 trial显示文摘Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is an aggressive autoimmune arthritis,and current therapies remain unsatisfactory due to low remission rate and substantially adverse effects.Low-dose interleukin-2(Ld-IL2)is potentially a therapeutic approach to further improve the disease.This randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ld-IL2 in patients with active RA.Patients were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive Ld-IL2,defined as a dose of 1 million IU,or placebo in a 12-week trial with a 12-week follow-up.Three cycles of Ld-IL2 or placebo were administered subcutaneously every other day for 2 weeks(a total of 7 doses),followed by a 2-week break.All patients received a stable dose of methotrexate(MTX).The primary outcomes were the proportion of patients achieving the ACR20,DAS28-ESR<2.6,and the change from baseline in CDAI or SDAI at week 24.Secondary endpoints included other clinical responses and safety.The primary outcomes were achieved in the perprotocol population.The improvements from baseline in CDAI and SDAI were significantly greater across time points for the LdIL2+MTX group(n=17)than for the placebo+MTX group(n=23)(P=0.018 and P=0.015,respectively).More patients achieved ACR20 response in the Ld-IL2+MTX group than those in the placebo+MTX group at week 12(70.6%vs 43.5%)and at week 24(76.5%vs 56.5%)(P=0.014).In addition,low Treg and high IL-21 were associated with good responses to Ld-IL2.Ld-IL-2 treatment was well-tolerated in this study.These results suggested that Ld-IL2 was effective and safe in RA.ClinicalTrials.gov number:NCT 02467504.Xiaoying Zhang Miao Miao Ruijun Zhang Xu Liu Xiaozhen Zhao Miao Shao Tian Liu Yuebo Jin Jiali Chen Huixin Liu Xia Zhang Yun Li Yunshan Zhou Yue Yang Ru Li Haihong Yao Yanying Liu Chun Li Yuhui Li Limin Ren Yin Su Xiaolin Sun Jing He Zhanguo Li 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4:7
4Emission characteristics of offshore fishing ships in the Yellow Bo Sea, China显示文摘Maritime transport has been playing a decisive role in global trade. Its contribution to the air pollution of the sea and coastal areas has been widely recognized. The air pollutant emission inventories of several harbors in China have already been established. However,the emission factors of local ships have not been addressed comprehensively, and thus are lacking from the emission inventories. In this study, on-board emission tests of eight diesel-powered offshore fishing ships were conducted near the coastal region of the northern Yellow Bo Sea fishing ground of Dalian, China. Results show that large amounts of fine particles(< 0.5 μm, 90%) were found in maneuvering mode, which were about five times higher than those during cruise mode. Emission rates as well as emission factors based on both distance and fuel were determined during the cruise and maneuvering modes(including departure and arrival). Average emission rates and distance-based emission factors of CO, HC and PM were much higher during the maneuvering mode as compared with the cruise mode. However, the average emission rate of Nitrous Oxide(NOx) was higher during the cruise mode as compared with the maneuvering modes. 5Modeling and predicting low-speed vehicle emissions as a function of driving kinematics显示文摘An instantaneous emission model was developed to model and predict the real driving emissions of the low-speed vehicles. The emission database used in the model was measured by using portable emission measurement system(PEMS)under actual traffic conditions in the rural area,and the characteristics of the emission data were determined in relation to the driving kinematics(speed and acceleration)of the low-speed vehicle. The input of the emission model is driving cycle,and the model requires instantaneous vehicle speed and acceleration levels as input variables and uses them to interpolate the pollutant emission rate maps to calculate the transient pollutant emission rates,which will be accumulated to calculate the total emissions released during the whole driving cycle. And the vehicle fuel consumption was determined through the carbon balance method. 6High power and energy generation in a Nd:YAG single-crystal fiber laser at 1834 nm显示文摘We report on a diode-end-pumped high-power and high-energy Nd:YAG single-crystal fiber laser at 1834 nm.Two 808 nm diodes injecting about 58 W pump power into the Nd:YAG fiber have generated 3.28 W continuouswave and 1.66 W Cr:ZnSe-based passively Q-switched lasers. Slope efficiencies with respect to pump powers are8.7% for the continuous-wave laser and 4.9% for the Q-switched laser. The extracted maximum pulse energy is about 266.9 μJ, and the corresponding maximum pulse peak power is 2.54 kW. These performances greatly surpass previous results regarding this specific laser emission because the laser gain medium in the form of fiber can significantly mitigate thermally induced power saturation thanks to its significantly reduced thermal lensing effect. 9The COVID‐19 vaccine: Attitudes and vaccination in patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases显示文摘Background:We examined attitudes toward the COVID‐19 vaccine,potential factors underlying these attitudes,and ways to increase vaccination willingness in autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases(AIIRD)patients.Methods:A multicenter,web‐based,observational survey using an online questionnaire was conducted among AIIRD patients aged≥18 years from May 24,2021,to June 3,2021.Participants were 3104 AIIRD patients(2921 unvaccinated and 183 vaccinated).Results:Of the unvaccinated patients,32.9%were willing to receive the COVID‐19 vaccine,45.0%were uncertain,and 14.8%were unwilling.When vaccination was recommended by physicians,patients'willingness increased to 93.8%.Participants'main concerns were that the vaccine may aggravate AIIRD disease(63.0%)and may cause vaccine‐related adverse events(19.9%).Female patients were less likely to be vaccinated.However,patients who had children aged≤18 years were more willing to be vaccinated.In addition,vaccination willingness was higher in patients with trust in the safety and efficacy of the COVID‐19 vaccine.Notably,183(5.9%)patients were vaccinated.The major vaccination side effects were injection reaction,myalgia,and fatigue.At a median follow‐up of 88(38,131)days,patients'disease activities were stable.Conclusions:The findings show that AIIRD patients were unwilling to receive the COVID‐19 vaccine because of fears of potential disease exacerbation and additional adverse events.Sociodemographic characteristics and concerns about COVID‐19 disease and vaccines had a significant effect on vaccination willingness.Jiali Chen Wenxin Cai Tian Liu Yunshan Zhou Yuebo Jin Yue Yang Shi Chen Kun Tang Chun Li 2022Rheumatology & Autoimmunity2022,2,2:1
