2An investigation on tether-tugging de-orbit of defunct geostationary satellites显示文摘In recent years,defunct satellites mitigation in the geostationary orbit(GEO) has become a hot issue in the space field.How to transfer defunct geostationary satellites to the graveyard orbit safely,economically and efficiently presents new challenges to spacecraft dynamics and control.This paper conducts an in-depth investigation on tether-tugging de-orbit issues of defunct geostationary satellites.Firstly,a four-phase tether-tugging de-orbit scheme including acceleration,equilibrium,rotation and return is proposed.This scheme takes into consideration how to avoid the risks of tether ripping,tug-target collision,and tether twist,and how to achieve the mission objective of fuel saving.Secondly,the dynamics model of the tether combination system is established based on Lagrange equation,and the four phases of tether-tugging de-orbit scheme are simulated respectively.Simulation results indicate that the scheme is theoretically feasible and satisfies the design objectives of safety,economy and efficiency,providing a technical approach for engineering application.LIU HaiTao YANG LePing ZHANG QingBin ZHU YanWei 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7:18

8Degenerative alterations in noradrenergic neurons of the locus coeruleus in Alzheimer's disease显示文摘Mice carrying mutant amyloid-β precursor protein and presenilin-1 genes (APP/PS1 double transgenic mice) have frequently been used in studies of Alzheimer's disease; however, such studies have focused mainly on hippocampal and cortical changes. The severity of Alzheimer's disease is known to correlate with the amount of amyloid-β protein deposition and the number of dead neurons in the locus coeruleus. In the present study, we assigned APP/PS1 double transgenic mice to two groups according to age: young mice (5-6 months old) and aged mice (16-17 months old). Age-matched wild-type mice were used as controls. Immunohistochemistry for tyrosine hydroxylase (a marker of catecholaminergic neurons in the locus coeruleus) revealed that APP/PS1 mice had 23% fewer cells in the locus coeruleus compared with aged wild-type mice. APP/PS1 mice also had increased numbers of cell bodies of neurons positive for tyrosine hydroxylase, but fewer tyrosine hydroxylase-positive fibers, which were also short, thick and broken. Quantitative analysis using unbiased stereology showed a significant age-related increase in the mean volume of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons in aged APP/PS1 mice compared with young APP/PS1 mice. Moreover, the mean volume of tyrosine hydroxylase-positive neurons was positively correlated with the total volume of the locus coeruleus. 16Comparing the effects of Bassini versus tension-freehernioplasty: 3 years’ follow-up显示文摘In order to compare the effects of Bassini and tension-free mesh hernioplasty,a total of 552 patients with inguinal hernia who were subjected to surgical treatment in our hospital were randomly divided into the following two groups:the Bassini group(n=269)and the tension-free mesh group(n=283).The recurrence rates,pain,dis-comfort,and other complications were recorded,and the causes of the complications were explored.The recurrence rate in the Bassini group was 8.9%(24/269),significantly higher than that in the tension-free repair group(2.8%,8/283).In addition,the recurrence rates in the Bassini and tension-free groups before 2004 were 12.6%and 5.6%,respectively,which were markedly higher than the rates after 2004(5.3%and 0.7%,respectively).The rate of post-operative discomfort and pain within thefirst three months was higher in the Bassini group compared to the tension-free group(25.7%vs 18.5%,respectively).However,there was no difference after three months in the rate of post-operative discomfort and pain,incidence of infection,or scrotal edema between the two groups.The average hospital stay in the Bassini group was longer than that in the tension-free repair group(7.6�1.2 vs 4.5�2.2 days,respectively),but the cost was lower(4518.0�510 vs 6221.3�578 yuan,respectively).Thus,tension-free mesh hernioplasty is indicated for most inguinal hernia patients due to the low recurrence rate,rapid recovery time,and treatment success,but the traditional Bassini procedure has lower cost and other beneficial effects and is still suitable for some patients.Yulong SHI Zhongxue SU Leping LI Hongjun LIU Changqing JING 2010Frontiers of Medicine2010,4,4:0
17Comparison analysis of sampling methods to estimate regional precipitation based on the Kriging interpolation methods: A case of northwestern China显示文摘The accuracy of spatial interpolation of precipitation data is determined by the actual spatial variability of the precipitation, the interpolation method, and the distribution of observatories whose selections are particularly important. In this paper, three spatial sampling programs, including spatial random sampling, spatial stratified sampling, and spatial sandwich sampling, are used to analyze the data from meteorological stations of northwestern China. We compared the accuracy of ordinary Kriging interpolation methods on the basis of the sampling results. The error values of the regional annual precipitation interpolation based on spatial sandwich sampling, including ME(0.1513), RMSE(95.91), ASE(101.84), MSE(-0.0036), and RMSSE(1.0397), were optimal under the premise of abundant prior knowledge. The result of spatial stratified sampling was poor, and spatial random sampling was even worse. Spatial sandwich sampling was the best sampling method, which minimized the error of regional precipitation estimation. 18Polar plumes observed at the total solar eclipse in 2009显示文摘During the total solar eclipse of July 22, 2009, we carried out a white-light observation in Anji, Zhejiang, China. The aim wasto observe the polar plumes (PPs) with high spatial and temporal resolutions in white-light. With the observational data, weinvestigate the properties and evolution of the PPs and compare them with those of the low-latitude plumes (LPs). We find thatboth the PPs and the LPs have comparable lengths and widths, and the mean length and width are 300 Mm and 16 Mm, re-spectively. The average inclination angle (13 degree) of the PPs is smaller than that (32 degree) of the LPs. Generally, theplumes which are closer to the coronal hole center are more vertical. We trace the PPs and the LPs in the sequence of imagesand find that none of them disappears and no new one is created. Additionally, neither plasma outflow nor transverse oscilla-tion is observed. 19Integrated genomic analyses identify high-risk factors and actionable targets in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia显示文摘T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(T-ALL)is an aggressive hematologic malignancy often associated with poor outcomes.To identify high-risk factors and potential actionable targets for T-ALL,we perform integrated genomic and transcriptomic analyses on samples from 165 Chinese pediatric and adult T-ALL patients,of whom 85%have outcome information.The genomic mutation landscape of this Chinese cohort is very similar to the Western cohort published previously,except that the rate of NOTCH1 mutations is significant lower in the Chinese T-ALL patients.Among 47 recurrently mutated genes in 7 functional categories,we identify RAS pathway and PTEN mutations as poor survival factors for non-TAL and TAL subtypes,respectively.Mutations in the PI3K pathway are mutually exclusive with mutations in the RAS and NOTCH1 pathways as well as transcription factors.Further analysis demonstrates that approximately 43%of the high-risk patients harbor at least one potential actionable alteration identified in this study,and T-ALLs with RAS pathway mutations are hypersensitive to MEKi in vitro and in vivo.Thus,our integrated genomic analyses not only systematically identify high-risk factors but suggest that these high-risk factors are promising targets for T-ALL therapies.Haichuan Zhu Bingjie Dong Yingchi Zhang Mei Wang Jianan Rao Bowen Cui Yu Liu Qian Jiang Weitao Wang Lu Yang Anqi Yu Zongru Li Chao Liu Leping Zhang Xiaojun Huang Xiaofan Zhu Hong Wu 2022Blood Science2022,4,1:0
