12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3Blocking FSH inhibits hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis and reduces serum cholesterol显示文摘Menopause is associated with dyslipidemia and an increased risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease.The classic view assumes that the underlying mechanism of dyslipidemia is attributed to an insufficiency of estrogen.In addition to a decrease in estrogen, circulating follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)levels become elevated at menopause.In this study,we find that blocking FSH reduces serum cholesterol via inhibiting hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis.First,epidemiological results show that the serum FSH levels are positively correlated with the serum total cholesterol levels,even after adjustment by considering the effects of serum estrogen,in addition,the prevalence of hypercholesterolemia is significantly higher in peri-menopausal women than that in premenopausal women.Furthermore,we generated a mouse model of FSH elevation by intraperitoneally injecting exogenous FSH into ovariectomized (OVX)mice,in which a normal level of estrogen (E2)was maintained by exogenous supplementation. Consistently,the results indicate that FSH,independent of estrogen,increases the serum cholesterol level in this mouse model. 4Efficient elimination of multidrug-resistant bacteria using copper sulfide nanozymes anchored to graphene oxide nanosheets显示文摘Antibacterial nanomaterials have attracted growing interest for bacterial infection therapy.However,most nanomaterials eliminate bacteria either physically or chemically,which hampers their efficacy when dealing with multidrug-resistant bacteria.To overcome this,we integrated copper sulfide(CuS)nanoparticles with active graphene oxide nanosheets(GO NSs)to synthesize a superior nanocomposite(CuS/GO NC)that acts both physically and chemically on the bacteria.CuS/GO NC was produced using a facile hydrothermal method,whereby the CuS nanoparticles grew and were uniformly dispersed on the GO NSs in situ.We found that the CuS/GO NC possesses a unique needle-like morphology that physically damages the bacterial cell membrane.CuS/GO NC also exhibits high oxidase-and peroxidase-like activity,ensuring efficient generation of the reactive oxygen species•OH from H2O2,which kills bacteria chemically.These features endow the CuS/GO NC with excellent antibacterial capabilities to kill multidrug-resistant bacteria such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)with only a single dose.Additionally,it was found that the CuS/GO NC accelerated the healing of infected wounds in vivo owing to its good biocompatibility as well as facilitation of cell migration and collagen secretion.This study provides a new strategy to combine the physical and chemical antibacterial modes of nanomaterials to develop more effective therapies to combat multidrug-resistant bacterial infections.Wanshun Wang Binglin Li Huili Yang Zefeng Lin Lingling Chen Zhan Li Jiayuan Ge Tao Zhang Hong Xia Lihua Li Yao Lu 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:8
5Economic Value Evaluation of Wetland Service in Yeyahu Wetland Nature Reserve,Beijing显示文摘Based on multi-source data,this paper evaluated the economic value of ecological services in the Yeyahu Wetland Nature Reserve,Beijing,China.The ecological services of wetland included gas regulation,water quality im-provement,biodiversity maintenance,erosion control,water supply,recreational opportunity,raw material supply and existence value.Multiple conventional evaluation methods were used to calculate the value of eight wetland services.The results showed that significant values came from biodiversity maintenance and recreational opportunity.The main reasons were as follows.Firstly,Yeyahu Wetland Nature Reserve was the habitat for migrant birds,and government had payed more efforts to protect precious birds.Secondly,the population is large in Beijing.People enjoyed going outside and enjoyed the natural and artificial wetland scenes.At the same time,most people were prepared to pay for wetland conservation.The decline of vegetation cover made the economic value of erosion control the lowest.While the shrink of water resource and the deteriorative water quality caused the economic value of water supply lower.The evaluation results could help decision-makers understand the present status of the Yeyahu Wetland Nature Reserve and provide a scientific basis for strategic decision.ZHU Lin CHEN Yun GONG Huili JIANG Weiguo ZHAO Wenji XIAO Yanfang 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,6:7
6Chemical genomics reveals inhibition of breast cancer lung metastasis by Ponatinib via c-Jun显示文摘Metastasis is the leading cause of human cancer deaths.Unfortunately,no approved drugs are available for antimetastatic treatment.In our study,high-throughput sequencing-based high-throughput screening(HTS^2)and a breast cancer lung metastasis(BCLM)-associated gene signature were combined to discover anti-metastatic drugs.After screening of thousands of compounds,we identified Ponatinib as a BCLM inhibitor.Ponatinib significantly inhibited the migration and mammosphere formation of breast cancer cells in vitro and blocked BCLM in multiple mouse models.Mechanistically,Ponatinib represses the expression of BCLM-associated genes mainly through the ERK/c-Jun signaling pathway by inhibiting the transcription of JUN and accelerating the degradation of c-Jun protein.Notably,JUN expression levels were positively correlated with BCLM-associated gene expression and lung metastases in breast cancer patients.Collectively,we established a novel approach for the discovery of anti-metastatic drugs,identified Ponatinib as a new drug to inhibit BCLM and revealed c-Jun as a crucial factor and potential drug target for BCLM.Our study may facilitate the therapeutic treatment of BCLM as well as other metastases.Wei Shao Shasha Li Lu Li Kequan Lin Xinhong Liu Haiyan Wang Huili Wang Dong Wang 2019Protein & Cell2019,10,3:7
7Single-cell RNA sequencing of meiocytes and microspores reveals the involvement of the Rf4 gene in redox homeostasis of CMS-C maize显示文摘Normal microsporogenesis is determined by both nuclear and mitochondrial genes. In maize C-type cytoplasmic male sterility, it is unclear how the development of meiocytes and microspores is affected by the mitochondrial sterility gene and the nuclear restorer gene. In this study, we sequenced the transcriptomes of single meiocytes(tetrad stage) and early mononucleate microspores from sterile and restorer lines. The numbers of expressed genes varied in individual cells and fewer than half of the expressed genes were common to the same cell types. Four comparisons revealed 3379 differentially expressed genes(DEGs), with 277 putatively associated with mitochondria, 226 encoding transcription factors,and 467 possibly targeted by RF4. KEGG analysis indicated that the DEGs in the two lines at the tetrad stage were involved predominantly in carbon metabolism and in amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism, whereas the DEGs during the transition from the tetrad stage to the early mononucleate stage were associated mostly with regulation of protein metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, and anatomical structure morphogenesis. 8Seasonal patterns in water uptake for Medicago sativa grown along an elevation gradient with shallow groundwater table in Yanchi county of Ningxia,Northwest China显示文摘Lucerne(Medicago sativa L.) is a deep-rooted perennial leguminous forage with high evapo-transpiration rate exceeding the annual precipitation in semi-arid areas of Northwest China.Groundwater might be the potential water sources of lucerne in the area with shallow groundwater table.In this study,stable isotopic compositions of oxygen and hydrogen(δ18O and δD) of different water sources and xylem sap were analyzed to determine the seasonal(April,June,July and August) and topographic(three slope positions) variations in water sources for lucerne growing in Ningxia eastern semi-arid area adjacent to Mu Us Desert characterized by shallow groundwater table.Iso Source software was used to calculate the probable contribution of different water sources to the total plant water uptake.Stomatal conductance,stem water potential,carbon isotope discrimination(?^(13)C) of whole plant were also determined for evaluating the water status of lucerne growing at different slope positions.The results showed that soil water content increased as the elevation decreased.Oxygen compositions of soil water in the 0–40 cm profile fluctuated considerably.Soil water δ^(18)O values in deep profile(>3.5 m) were similar to those in groundwater,implying the recharge of groundwater to this soil layer.Highest water utilization rate from deep soil profile(below 350 cm) was recorded for lucerne grown at the slope position 1(groundwater table depth of 3.5–3.9 m) in April,June and July.The lucernes at slope position 2(groundwater table depth of 5.8–6.4 m) and slope position 3(groundwater table depth 7.1–8.3 m) mostly used water from deep soil layers(below 350 cm) during dry period,and turned to use water from superficial soil layer in wet period.Higher yield,?^(13)C value of whole plant and stomatal conductance were observed for lucerne grown at the slope position 1 than those at other slope positions.These results indicated that groundwater is a significant water source for transpiration of lucerne grown in Ningxia semi-arid area with shallow groundwater table where lucerne grassland is suggested to be established so as to obtain better yield performance.ZHU Lin ZHANG Huili GAO Xue QI Yashu XU Xing 2016Journal of Arid Land2016,8,6:4
9Comprehensive Analysis and Artificial Intelligent Simulation of Land Subsidence of Beijing, China显示文摘Mechanism and modeling of the land subsidence are complex because of the complicate geological background in Beijing, China. This paper analyzed the spatial relationship between land subsidence and three factors, including the change of groundwater level, the thickness of compressible sediments and the building area by using remote sensing and GIS tools in the upper-middle part of alluvial-proluvial plain fan of the Chaobai River in Beijing. Based on the spatial analysis of the land subsidence and three factors, there exist significant non-linear relationship between the vertical displacement and three factors. The Back Propagation Neural Network (BPN) model combined with Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used to simulate regional distribution of the land subsidence. Results showed that at field scale, the groundwater level and land subsidence showed a significant linear relationship. However, at regional scale, the spatial distribution of groundwater depletion funnel did not overlap with the land subsidence funnel. As to the factor of compressible strata, the places with the biggest compressible strata thickness did not have the largest vertical displacement. The distributions of building area and land subsidence have no obvious spatial relationships. The BPN-GA model simulation results illustrated that the accuracy of the trained model during fifty years is acceptable with an error of 51% of verification data less than 20 mm and the average of the absolute error about 32 mm. The BPN model could be utilized to simulate the general distribution of land subsidence in the study area. Overall, this work contributes to better understand the complex relationship between the land subsidence and three influencing factors. 10The chimeric gene atp6c confers cytoplasmic male sterility in maize by impairing the assembly of the mitochondrial ATP synthase complex显示文摘Cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS)is a powerful tool for the exploitation of hybrid heterosis and the study of signaling and interactions between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.C-type CMS(CMS-C)in maize has long been used in hybrid seed production,but the underlying sterility factor and its mechanism of action remain unclear.In this study,we demonstrate that the mitochondrial gene atp6c confers male sterility in CMS-C maize.The ATP6C protein shows stronger interactions with ATP8 and ATP9 than ATP6 during the assembly of F1F0-ATP synthase(F-type ATP synthase,ATPase),thereby reducing the quantity and activity of assem-bled F_(1)F_(o)-ATP synthase.By contrast,the quantity and activity of the F1'component are increased in CMS-C lines.Reduced F1F0-ATP synthase activity causes accumulation of excess protons in the inner membrane space of the mitochondria,triggering a burst of reactive oxygen species(ROS),premature programmed cell death of the tapetai cells,and pollen abortion.Collectively,our study identifies a chimeric mitochondrial gene(ATP6C)that causes CMS in maize and documents the contribution of ATP6C to F1F0-ATP synthase assembly,thereby providing novel insights into the molecular mechanisms of male sterility in plants.Huili Yang Yadong Xue Bing Li Yanan Lin Haochuan Li Zhanyong Guo Weihua Li Zhiyuan Fu Dong Ding Jihua Tang 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,5:2
11Enantioseletive bioaccumulation of tebuconazole in earthworm Eisenia fetida显示文摘Methods of extraction and determination of tebuconazole enantiomers in earthworm(Eisenia fetida)were developed by capillary electrophoresis(CE)and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Both CE and HPLC have excellent resolution and recovery.The linearity ranges were 2.9-102.4mg/kg and 3.0-99.6mg/kg for(+)-R-tebuconazole and(-)-S-tebuconazole respectively in CE,and from 0.56 to 1000mg/kg for both enantiomers in HPLC.Enantioselective bioaccumulation in earthworms from soil was investigated under laboratory condition at concentrations of 10 and 50 mg/kg dw in soil.The uptake kinetics of(+)-R-tebuconazole fitted the firstorder kinetics well with r2 0.97 and 0.94 under 10 and 50mg/kg dw exposure condition,respectively,while(-)-S-tebuconazole with r 2 0.75 and 0.22 did not show the same.Bioaccumulation of tebuconazole in earthworm tissues was enantioselective with a preferential accumulation of(+)-R-tebuconazole.The(+)-R-tebuconazole might also have biomagnifying effect potential in earthworm food chain with biota-sediment accumulation factor(BSAF) of 1.64kg OC/kg lip in 10 mg/kg dw exposure group and 2.61kg OC/kg lip in 50mg/kg dw exposure group from soil to earthworm after 36 days.Although(-)-S-tebuconazole shares the same physicochemical properties with(+)-R-tebuconazole,it did not biomagnify.BSAFs of(-)-S-tebuconazole were 0.50kg OC/kg lip(10 mg/kg dw tebuconazole exposure) and 0.28kg OC/kg lip(50mg/kg dw tebuconazole exposure) after 36 days,which was possibly owing to biotransformation or metabolism in earthworm tissues.Dingyi Yu Jianzhong Li Yanfeng Zhang Huili Wang Baoyuan Guo Lin Zheng 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,12:2

16Characteristics of Liver Functions in Patients With COVID-19 and Construction of a Prognostic Evaluation Decision Model Based on Liver Functions显示文摘A number of studies have suggested that coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)can cause liver damage.However,clinical features and outcome of COVID-19 in patients with liver injury remain to be further investigated.In this study,the clinical data of 265 COVID-19 patients admitted to seven tertiary hospitals were collected.Based on a threshold for transaminase or total bilirubin levels at two times the normal upper limit,patients were divided into mild or moderate/severe liver injury groups.Among the 265 patients,183 patients showed liver injury within 48 hours of admission.Aspartate aminotransferase levels were predominantly elevated in the liver injury group,but albumin levels were reduced.Moreover,fibrinogen and D-dimer were significantly increased.Furthermore,68%of the patients with moderate/severe liver injury had one or more underlying diseases.Almost half of these patients developed acute respiratory distress syndrome(44%)and secondary infections(46%).These patients showed increased interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 levels and a decrease in PaO2 and the oxygenation index.In addition,levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,and albumin were correlated with the oxygenation index,D-dimer and lymphocyte counts.Furthermore,a novel prognostic assessment model based on liver function was established,which accuracy reached 88%and was able to accurately assess the prognosis of COVID-19 patients.Tongtong Pan Dazhi Chen Chenwei Pan Yi Kang Junping Liu Feifei Su Liang Hong Huili Li Hui Zhao Zhuo Lin Xiaodong Wang Hongwei Lin Qianjing Du Chao Cai Yongping Chen 2020Infectious Microbes & Diseases2020,2,4:1

19Novel Evolution Process of Zn-Induced Nanoclusters on Si(111)-(737) Surface显示文摘A tiny number of Zn atoms were deposited on Si(111)-(797) surface to study the evolution process of Zninduced nanoclusters. After the deposition, three types(type I, II, and III) of Zn-induced nanoclusters were observed to occupy preferably in the faulted half-unit cells. These Zn-induced nanoclusters are found to be related to one, two, and three displaced Si edge adatoms, and simultaneously cause the depression of one, two, and three closest Si edge adatoms in the neighboring unfaulted half-unit cells at negative voltages, respectively. First-principles adsorption energy calculations show that the observed type I, II, and III nanoclusters can reasonably be assigned as the Zn3Si1, Zn5Si2, and Zn7Si3 clusters,respectively. And Zn3Si1, Zn5Si2, and Zn7Si3 clusters are, respectively, the most stable structures in cases of one, two, and three displaced Si edge adatoms. Based on the above energy-preferred models, the simulated bias-dependent STM images are all well consistent with the experimental observations. Therefore, the most stable Zn7Si3 nanoclusters adsorbed on the Si(111)-(797) surface should grow up on the base of Zn3Si1 and Zn5Si2clusters.
