1Changing trends of disease burden of gastric cancer in China from 1990 to 2019 and its predictions:Findings from Global Burden of Disease Study显示文摘Objective:China is one of the countries with the heaviest burden of gastric cancer(GC)in the world.Understanding the epidemiological trends and patterns of GC in China can contribute to formulating effective prevention strategies.Methods:The data on incidence,mortality,and disability-adjusted life-years(DALYs)of GC in China from1990 to 2019 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study(2019).The estimated annual percentage change(EAPC)was calculated to evaluate the temporal trends of disease burden of GC,and the package Nordpred in the R program was used to perform an age-period-cohort analysis to predict the numbers and rates of incidence and mortality in the next 25 years.Results:The number of incident cases of GC increased from 317.34 thousand in 1990 to 612.82 thousand in2019,while the age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)of GC decreased from 37.56 per 100,000 in 1990 to 30.64 per 100,000 in 2019,with an EAPC of-0.41[95%confidence interval(95%CI):-0.77,-0.06].Pronounced temporal trends in mortality and DALYs of GC were observed.In the next 25 years,the numbers of new GC cases and deaths are expected to increase to 738.79 thousand and 454.80 thousand,respectively,while the rates of incidence and deaths should steadily decrease.The deaths and DALYs attributable to smoking were different for males and females.Conclusions:In China,despite the fact that the rates of GC have decreased during the past three decades,the numbers of new GC cases and deaths increased,and will continue to increase in the next 25 years.Additional strategies are needed to reduce the burden of GC,such as screening and early detection,novel treatments,and the prevention of risk factors.Tongchao Zhang Hui Chen Xiaolin Yin Qiufeng He Jinyu Man Xiaorong Yang Ming Lu 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1:19
2Transmission Network Expansion Planning Considering Uncertainties in Loads and Renewable Energy Resources显示文摘This paper proposes a novel method for transmission network expansion planning(TNEP)that take into account uncertainties in loads and renewable energy resources.The goal of TNEP is to minimize the expansion cost of candidate lines without any load curtailment.A robust linear optimization algorithm is adopted to minimize the load curtailment with uncertainties considered under feasible expansion costs.Hence,the optimal planning scheme obtained through an iterative process would be to serve loads and provide a sufficient margin for renewable energy integration.In this paper,two uncertainty budget parameters are introduced in the optimization process to limit the considered variation ranges for both the load and the renewable generation.Simulation results obtained from two test systems indicate that the uncertainty budget parameters used to describe uncertainties are essential to arrive at a compromise for the robustness and optimality,and hence,offer a range of preferences to power system planners and decision makers.Jinyu Wen Xingning Han Jiaming Li Yan Chen Haiqiong Yi Chang Lu 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,1:17
3Investigations on Discharge and Decomposition Characteristics of SF6 Under Various Experimental Conditions显示文摘Detection of gas decomposition products is widely used for condition diagnosis of SF6-insulated equipment because of its an- ti-electromagnetic-interference ability and high sensitivity. Previous investigations show that the volume of gas chamber influences the types and concentrations of SF6 decomposition products. Therefore using a newly developed dual gas chromatography (GC) detection sys- tem we investigated the discharge and decomposition of SF6 in a discharge chamber with its volume close to that of the real chambers in GIS. Tests in the chamber were performed with different applied voltage, different electrode arrangements, and different defect types. For discharge between needle-to-plane electrodes, the typical gas decomposition products are SO2F2, SO2 and S2OF10. A near linear growth with the increase of voltage duration is found in the concentration of SO2F2, whereas the growth rates of SO2 and S2OF10 concentration decrease with time. Concentrations of SO2F2, SO2 and S2OF10 at the same voltage duration decrease with the decrease of the voltage amplitude and the increase of the needle-to-plane distance. Change of the gas chamber volume affects the generation rates of SO2F2 and SO2, however not S2OF10. For insulator surface defects, the typical gas decomposition products are CF4, CS2 and SO2. Among which, the concentrations of CF4 and SO2 increase with the voltage duration almost linearly. Moreover, a new parameter that represents the degree of SF6 degradation, the SF6 deterioration ratio, is proposed. In the needle-to-plane case, SF6 deterioration ratio is positively correlated to the fitting value of an averaged discharge capacity. 5Characterization of event-related potentials in obsessive compulsive disorder patients: Comparison with depression and generalized anxiety disorder patients显示文摘BACKGROUND: Study results of event-related potential in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) remain controversial, potentially as a result of different instruments utilized and their differing technical characteristics. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the differences in several common event-related potentials, i.e. contingent negative variations, P300, and mismatch negativity (MMN), in OCD patients, depression patients, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) patients, and healthy controls. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A case-control study was performed in the Department of Electrophysiology, Shanghai Mental Health Center from May 2002 to December 2005. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 38 OCD patients, 20 depression patients, and 18 GAD patients, who were diagnosed according to the criteria of Chinese Classification of Mental Disorders (Version 3), formulated by the Chinese Psychiatry Association, were selected from the Outpatient Department o Shanghai Mental Health Center. Patients with two or more the above diseases were excluded. In addition, 28 healthy people, gender and age matched, were selected as controls. METHODS: Contingent negative variations, P300, and MMN were recorded by a Nicolet Spirit Instrument. All electrodes were attached at Cz according to the International 10-20 system, with the mastoid leads as reference and Fpz as ground. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Amplitude and latency of contingent negative variations, P300, and MMN. RESULTS: The contingent negative variations, P300, and MMN were different (P < 0.01). OCD patients showed an increased M1 amplitude compared with controls, depression, and GAD patients (P < 0.01). Target P300 amplitudes were significantly lower in OCD, depression, and GAD patients compared with controls (P < 0.01). Moreover, N2 latency and latency of MMN were prolonged in OCD and depression groups compared with controls (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Event-related potentials were different in depression, GAD, and OCD patients and healthy controls. 7Pigment analysis of a color-leaf mutant in Wandering Jew (Tradescantia fluminensis) irradiated by carbon ions显示文摘Many mutants of plant induced by heavy ion beam irradiation have been reported in recent years,but leaf anthocyan mutants induced by ion irradiation in evergreen were rarely found.In this study,a color-leaf mutant with purple leaves,stems and petals was isolated from clones of Wandering Jew irradiated by 95.8 MeV/u carbon ion beam.The concentration and histological distribution of leaf pigment were surveyed in wild type and mutant.In mutant,contents of total chlorophylls (Chl),chlorophyll a (Chl a),chlorophyll b (Chl b) and carotenoids (Car) decreased significantly,while concentration of the anthocyanins was 6.2-fold higher than that of wild type.Further composition analysis of anthocyanins by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) indicated that the purple pigmentation of leaves in mutant was caused by accumulation of petunidin anthocyanin.Microscopic examination showed that most petunidin anthocyanin accumulated in the lower epidermis,and little in vascular parenchyma of mutant,while there was no pigment in wild type.Meanwhile,in spongy parenchyma of mutant we observed little Chl,which the wild type abounds in.In conclusion,the color-leaf mutant of Wandering Jew induced by irradiation of carbon ions was improved in ornamental value,and it could be contribute to variation in level,component and distribution of foliar pigment.The possible mutation mechanisms were discussed.HE Jinyu LU Dong YU Lixia LI Wenjian 2011Nuclear Science and Techniques2011,22,2:4
8Whole Genome Analyses of Chinese Population and De Novo Assembly of A Northern Han Genome显示文摘To unravel the genetic mechanisms of disease and physiological traits,it requires comprehensive sequencing analysis of large sample size in Chinese populations.Here,we report the primary results of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Precision Medicine Initiative(CASPMI)project launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences,including the de novo assembly of a northern Han reference genome(NH1.0)and whole genome analyses of 597 healthy people coming from most areas in China.Given the two existing reference genomes for Han Chinese(YH and HX1)were both from the south,we constructed NH1.0,a new reference genome from a northern individual,by combining the sequencing strategies of PacBio,10×Genomics,and Bionano mapping.Using this integrated approach,we obtained an N50 scaffold size of 46.63 Mb for the NH1.0 genome and performed a comparative genome analysis of NH1.0 with YH and HX1.In order to generate a genomic variation map of Chinese populations,we performed the whole-genome sequencing of 597 participants and identified 24.85 million(M)single nucleotide variants(SNVs),3.85 M small indels,and 106,382 structural variations.In the association analysis with collected phenotypes,we found that the T allele of rs1549293 in KAT8 significantly correlated with the waist circumference in northern Han males.Moreover,significant genetic diversity in MTHFR,TCN2,FADS1,and FADS2,which associate with circulating folate,vitamin B12,or lipid metabolism,was observed between northerners and southerners.Especially,for the homocysteine-increasing allele of rs1801133(MTHFR 677T),we hypothesize that there exists a “comfort”zone for a high frequency of 677T between latitudes of 35–45 degree North.Taken together,our results provide a high-quality northern Han reference genome and novel population-specific data sets of genetic variants for use in the personalized and precision medicine.Zhenglin Du Liang Ma Hongzhu Qu Wei Chen Bing Zhang Xi Lu Weibo Zhai Xin Sheng Yongqiao Sun Wenjie Li Meng Lei Qiuhui Qi Na Yuan Shuo Shi Jingyao Zeng Jinyue Wang Yadong Yang Qi Liu Yaqiang Hong Lili Dong Zhewen Zhang Dong Zou Yanqing Wang Shuhui Song Fan Liu Xiangdong Fang Hua Chen Xin Liu Jingfa Xiao Changqing Zeng 2019Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2019,17,3:4
9Evaluation of coronary plaque and stent deployment by intravascular optical coherence tomography in elderly patients with unstable angina and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction显示文摘Objective To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) in the assessment of plaque characteristics and drug eluting stent deployment quality in the elderly patients with unstable angina (UA) and non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Methods OCT was used in elderly patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions. Fifteen patients, 9 males and 6 females with mean age of 72.6±5.3 years (range 67-92 years) were enrolled in the study. Images were obtained before initial balloon dilatation and following stent deployment. The plaque characteristics before dilation, vessel dissection, tissue prolapse, stent apposition and strut distribution after stent implantation were evaluated. Results Fifteen lesions were selected from 32 angiographic lesions as study lesions for OCT imaging after diagnostic coronary angiography. There were 7 lesions in the left anterior descending artery, 5 lesions in the right coronary artery and 3 lesions in the left circumflex coronary artery. Among them, 12 (80.0%) were lipid-rich plaques, and 10 (66.7%) were vulnerable plaques with fibrous cap thickness 54.2±7.3 μm. Seven ruptured culprit plaques (46.7%) were found; 4 in UA patients and 3 in NSTEMI patients. Tissue prolapse was observed in 11 lesions (73.3%). Irregular stent strut distribution was detected in 8 lesions (53.3%). Vessel dissections were found in 5 lesions (33.3%). Incomplete stent apposition was observed in 3 stents (20%) with mean spacing between the struts and the vessel wall 172±96 mm (range 117-436 mm). Conclusions 1) It is safe and feasible to perform intravascular OCT to differentiate vulnerable coronary plaque and monitor stent deployment in elderly patients with UA and USTEMI. 2) Coronary plaques in elderly patients with UA and USTEMI could be divided into acute ruptured plaque, vulnerable plaque, lipid-rich plaque, and stable plaque. 3) Minor or critical plaque rupture is one of the mechanisms of UA in elderly patients. 4) Present drug eluting stent implantation is complicated with multiple tissue prolapses which are associated with irregular strut distributions. 5) The action and significance of tissue prolapse on acute vessel flow and in-stent thrombus and restenosis need to be further studied.Caiyi LU Shiwen WANG Wei YAN Xingli WU Yuxiao ZHANG Qiao XUE Muyang YAN Peng LIU Rui CHEN Jinyue ZHAI 2007Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2007,4,1:3
10Genome-wide Identification of microRNAs that Respond to Drought Stress in Seedlings of Tertiary Relict Ammopiptanthus mongolicus显示文摘microRNAs(miR NAs) are important post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression in plant abiotic stress responses. Ammopiptanthus mongolicus is a typical evergreen woody xerophyte, which makes it an ideal model system for studying drought tolerance in woody plants. The response of mi RNAs to drought stress is still unknown in this plant. In this research, we obtained 34 695 665 raw reads from two small RNA libraries constructed from control and drought-treated A. mongolicus seedlings by the Illumina deep sequencing technology. Length analysis revealed that reads of 20, 21, and 24 nucleotides accounted for the majority of the small RNAs in the two libraries. Sequence analyses identified 65 conserved mi RNA sequences from 190 members of 31 mi RNA families and 20 potential novel mi RNAs from 17 families that were differentially expressed between the two libraries. The expression patterns of 25 of these mi RNAs were significantly different in the two libraries, but only am-mi R4 a-c was downregulated during drought stress, the other 24 were upregulated. The expression trends determined by the Hi Seq sequencing and by q RT-PCR were similar. Furthermore, 35 target genes for the conserved mi RNA were markedly changed and 52 target genes for the potential novel mi RNAs were predicted and their functions were annotated by computational analysis. 12Characteristic dysbiosis in gout and the impact of a uric acid-lowering treatment,febuxostat on the gut microbiota显示文摘Gut dysbiosis is suggested to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of gout.The aim of our study was to identify the characteristic dysbiosis of the gut microbiota in gout patients and the impact of a commonly used uric acid-lowering treatment,febuxostat on gut microbiota in gout.16S ribosomal RNA sequencing and metagenomic shotgun sequencing was performed on fecal DNA isolated from 38 untreated gout patients,38 gout patients treated with febuxostat,and 26 healthy controls.A restriction of gut microbiota biodiversity was detected in the untreated gout patients,and the alteration was partly restored by febuxostat.Biochemical metabolic indexes involved in liver and kidney metabolism were significantly associated with the gut microbiota composition in gout patients.Functional analysis revealed that the gut microbiome of gout patients had an enriched function on carbohydrate metabolism but a lower potential for purine metabolism,which was comparatively enhanced in the febuxostat treated gout patients.A classification microbial model obtained a high mean area under the curve up to 0.973.Therefore,gut dysbiosis characterizings gout could potentially serve as a noninvasive diagnostic tool for gout and may be a promising target of future preventive interventions.Suxian Lin Tao Zhang Lingxiao Zhu Kun Pang Saisai Lu Xin Liao Senhong Ying Lixia Zhu Xin Xu Jinyu Wu Xiaobing Wang 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,9:3
13Tubular/helical architecture construction based on rolled-up AlN nanomembranes and resonance as optical microcavity显示文摘Aluminum nitride(AlN)has attracted a great amount of interest due to the fact that these group III–V semiconductors present direct band gap behavior and are compatible with current micro-electro-mechanical systems.In this work,three dimensional(3D)AlN architectures including tubes and helices were constructed by rolling up AlN nanomembranes grown on a silicon-on-insulator wafer via magnetron sputtering.The properties of the AlN membrane were characterized through transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.The thickness of AlN nanomembranes could be tuned via the RIE thinning method,and thus micro-tubes with different diameters were fabricated.The intrinsic strain in AlN membranes was investigated via micro-Raman spectroscopy,which agrees well with theory prediction.Whispering gallery mode was observed in AlN tubular optical microcavity in photoluminescence spectrum.A postprocess involving atomic layer deposition and R6G immersion were employed on as-fabricated AlN tubes to promote the Q-factor.The AlN tubular micro-resonators could offer a novel design route for Si-based integrated light sources.In addition,the rolled-up technology paves a new way for AlN 3D structure fabrication,which is promising for AlN application in MEMS and photonics fields.Jinyu Yang Yang Wang Lu Wang Ziao Tian Zengfeng Di Yongfeng Mei 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,4:2
14Low intensity near-infrared light promotes bone regeneration via circadian clock protein cryptochrome 1显示文摘Bone regeneration remains a great clinical challenge. Low intensity near-infrared(NIR) light showed strong potential to promote tissue regeneration, offering a promising strategy for bone defect regeneration. However, the effect and underlying mechanism of NIR on bone regeneration remain unclear. We demonstrated that bone regeneration in the rat skull defect model was significantly accelerated with low-intensity NIR stimulation. In vitro studies showed that NIR stimulation could promote the osteoblast differentiation in bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) and MC3T3-E1 cells, which was associated with increased ubiquitination of the core circadian clock protein Cryptochrome 1(CRY1) in the nucleus. We found that the reduction of CRY1 induced by NIR light activated the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) signaling pathways, promoting SMAD1/5/9 phosphorylation and increasing the expression levels of Runx2 and Osterix. NIR light treatment may act through sodium voltage-gated channel Scn4a, which may be a potential responder of NIR light to accelerate bone regeneration. 17Risk factors for very low-level viremia in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection: A single-center retrospective study显示文摘Background and aim:Several effective antiviral drugs are now available;however,the risk of liver-related complications is still present.Low-level viremia(LLV),defined as a hepatitis B virus(HBV)deoxy-ribonucleic acid(DNA)load lower than 2000 IU/mL,is one of the major factors responsible for these complications.It has been reported that 22.7e43.1%of patients with HBV experience LLV.Herein,we aimed to explore the risk factors for very LLV(VLLV)during antiviral treatment.Methods:We collected data of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)who received nucleos(t)ide analog treatment from October 2016 to April 2021.VLLV was defined as an HBV DNA load of 9e20 IU/mL.A total of 139 patients with LLV were matched with 139 patients with a sustained virological response at a 1:1 ratio according to age and gender.Results:Seropositivity rates for hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)(45.3%vs.17.3%,P<0.001)and hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg,3.11±0.68 lg IU/mL vs.2.54±1.04 lg IU/mL,P<0.001)and alanine amino-transferase levels(30.34±15.08 U/L vs.26.15±16.66 U/L,P¼0.040)in the two groups were significantly different.The multivariate analysis showed that both HBeAg seropositivity(adjusted odd ratio(aOR),3.63;95% confidence interval(CI):1.98±6.64;P<0.001)and HBsAg levels(aOR,2.21;95% CI:1.53±3.20;P<0.001)are independent risk factors for VLLV.During the multivariate analysis in the subgroup of HBeAg-positive patients,male gender(aOR,3.68;95% CI:1.23±10.76;P=0.017)and high HBsAg(aOR,4.86;95%CI:1.73e13.64;P¼0.003)levels were significantly correlated with VLLV.However,this was not the case in HBeAg-negative patients(P>0.050).HBeAg seropositivity(aOR,5.08;95% CI:2.15±12.02;P<0.001 vs.aOR,2.78;95% CI:1.16±7.00;P=0.022)and HBsAg levels(aOR,2.75;95% CI:1.41e5.37;P=0.003 vs.aOR,2.10;95% CI:1.27±3.46;P=0.004)significantly increased the risk of VLLV,irrespective of the age group.Both HBsAg(area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC),0.681;95% CI:0.623±0.736;P<0.001)and HBeAg(AUC,0.640;95% CI:0.581±0.697;P<0.001)had certain pre-dictive value for VLLV.Conclusion:HBeAg seropositivity and higher HBsAg levels were not only risk factors for VLLV but also predicted its occurrence.When a patient with CHB remains HBeAg seropositive with high HBsAg levels after antiviral treatment for 48 weeks,emphasis should be placed on the potential occurrence of VLLV,warranting the use of highly sensitive HBV DNA detection methods.Jiahui Lu Congnan Zhang Pengyuan He Mengdang Ou Jinyu Xia Mingxing Huang 2022Liver Research2022,6,1:1
18QNE1 is a key flowering regulator determining the length of the vegetative period in soybean cultivars显示文摘The soybean E1 gene is a major regulator that plays an important role in flowering time and maturity.However,it remains unclear how cultivars carrying the dominant E1 allele adapt to the higher latitudinal areas of northern China.We mapped the novel quantitative trait locus QNE1(QTL near E1) for flowering time to the region proximal to E1 on chromosome 6 in two mapping populations.Positional cloning revealed Glyma.06G204300,encoding a TCP-type transcription factor,as a strong candidate gene for QNE1.Association analysis further confirmed that functional single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) at nucleotides 686 and 1,063 in the coding region of Glyma.06G204300 were significantly associated with flowering time.The protein encoded by the candidate gene is localized primarily to the nucleus.Furthermore,soybean and Brassica napus plants overexpressing Glyma.06G204300 exhibited early flowering.We conclude that despite their similar effects on flowering time,QNE1 and E4 may control flowering time through different regulatory mechanisms,based on expression studies and weighted gene co-expression network analysis of flowering time-related genes.Deciphering the molecular basis of QNE1 control of flowering time enriches our knowledge of flowering gene networks in soybean and will facilitate breeding soybean cultivars with broader latitudinal adaptation.Zhengjun Xia Hong Zhai Yanfeng Zhang Yaying Wang Lu Wang Kun Xu Hongyan Wu Jinglong Zhu Shuang Jiao Zhao Wan Xiaobin Zhu Yi Gao Yingxiang Liu Rong Fan Shihao Wu Xin Chen Jinyu Liu Jiayin Yang Qijian Song Zhixi Tian 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,12:1
