| 1 | Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis:A multicenter propensity scorematched cohort study显示文摘Objective:Systemic chemotherapy has limited efficacy in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis(PM)in gastric cancer(GC).Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC)combined with complete cytoreductive surgery(CRS)has shown promising outcomes but remains controversial.The present study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of HIPEC without CRS in GC patients with PM.Methods:This retrospective propensity score-matched multicenter cohort study included GC patients with PM treated with either chemotherapy alone(Cx group)or with HIPEC combined with chemotherapy(HIPEC-Cx group)in four Chinese high-volume gastric medical centers between 2010 and 2017.The primary outcomes were median survival time(MST)and 3-year overall survival(OS).Propensity score matching was performed to compensate for controlling potential confounding effects and selection bias.Results:Of 663 eligible patients,498 were matched.The MST in the Cx and HIPEC-Cx groups was 10.8 and 15.9 months,respectively[hazard ratio(HR)=0.71,95%confidence interval(95%CI),0.58-0.88;P=0.002].The 3-year OS rate was 10.1%(95%CI,5.4%-14.8%)and 18.4%(95%CI,12.3%-24.5%)in the Cx and HIPEC-Cx groups,respectively(P=0.017).The complication rates were comparable.The time to first flatus and length of hospital stay for patients undergoing HIPEC combined with chemotherapy was longer than that of chemotherapy alone(4.6±2.4 d vs.2.7±1.8 d,P<0.001;14.2±5.8 d vs.11.4±7.7 d,P<0.001),respectively.The median follow-up period was 33.2 months.Conclusions:Compared with standard systemic chemotherapy,HIPEC combined with chemotherapy revealed a statistically significant survival benefit for GC patients with PM,without compromising patient safety. | Ziying Lei Jiahong Wang Zhi Li Baozhong Li Jiali Luo Xuejun Wang Jin Wang MingchenBa Hongsheng Tang Qingjun He Quanxing Liao Xiansheng Yang Tianpei Guan Han Liang Shuzhong Cui | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6: | 11 |

| 3 | A multi-institutional retrospective study of hyperthermic plus intravesical chemotherapy versus intravesical chemotherapy treatment alone in intermediate and high risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer显示文摘Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of hyperthermic intravesical chemotherapy(HIVEC)and intravesical chemotherapy(IVEC)in patients with intermediate and high risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)after transurethral resection.Methods:We included 560 patients diagnosed with primary or recurrent NMIBC between April 2009 and December 2015 at 1 of 6 tertiary centers.We matched 364 intermediate or high risk cases and divided them into 2 groups:the HIVEC+IVEC group[chemohyperthermia(CHT)composed of 3 consecutive sessions followed by intravesical instillation without hyperthermia]and the IVEC group(intravesical instillation without hyperthermia).The data were recorded in the database.The primary endpoint was 2-year recurrence-free survival(RFS)in all NMIBC patients(n=364),whereas the secondary endpoints were the assessment of radical cystectomy(RC)and 5-year overall survival(OS).Results:There was a significant difference in the 2-year RFS between the two groups in all patients(n=364;HIVEC+IVEC:82.42%vs.IVEC:74.18%,P=0.038).Compared with the IVEC group,the HIVEC+IVEC group had a lower incidence of RC(P=0.0274).However,the 5-year OS was the same between the 2 groups(P=0.1434).Adverse events(AEs)occurred in 32.7%of all patients,but none of the events was serious(grades 3–4).No difference in the incidence or severity of AEs between each treatment modality was observed.Conclusions:This retrospective study showed that HIVEC+IVEC had a higher 2-year RFS and a lower incidence of RC than IVEC therapy in intermediate and high risk NMIBC patients.Both treatments were well-tolerated in a similar manner. | Qiang Ruan Degang Ding Bin Wang Chaohong He Xuequn Ren Zhenhua Feng Zhigang Pang Jin Wang Xiangliang Zhang Hongsheng Tang Jiahong Wang Qingjun He Ziying Lei Quanxing Liao Jiali Luo Shuzhong Cui | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1: | 4 |
| 4 | Mapping the elastic properties of two-dimensional MoS_(2) via bimodal atomic force microscopy and finite element simulation显示文摘Elasticity is a fundamental mechanical property of two-dimensional(2D)materials,and is critical for their application as well as for strain engineering.However,accurate measurement of the elastic modulus of 2D materials remains a challenge,and the conventional suspension method suffers from a number of drawbacks.In this work,we demonstrate a method to map the in-plane Young’s modulus of mono-and bi-layer MoS_(2) on a substrate with high spatial resolution.Bimodal atomic force microscopy is used to accurately map the effective spring constant between the microscope tip and sample,and a finite element method is developed to quantitatively account for the effect of substrate stiffness on deformation.Using these methods,the in-plane Young’s modulus of monolayer MoS_(2) can be decoupled from the substrate and determined as 265±13 GPa,broadly consistent with previous reports though with substantially smaller uncertainty.It is also found that the elasticity of mono-and bi-layer MoS_(2) cannot be differentiated,which is confirmed by the first principles calculations.This method provides a convenient,robust and accurate means to map the in-plane Young’s modulus of 2D materials on a substrate. | Yuhao Li Chuanbin Yu Yingye Gan Peng Jiang Junxi Yu Yun Ou Dai-Feng Zou Cheng Huang Jiahong Wang Tingting Jia Qian Luo Xue-Feng Yu Huijuan Zhao Cun-Fa Gao Jiangyu Li | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Accelerated discovery of a large family of quaternary chalcogenides with very low lattice thermal conductivity显示文摘The development of efficient thermal energy management devices such as thermoelectrics and barrier coatings often relies on compounds having low lattice thermal conductivity(κl).Here,we present the computational discovery of a large family of 628 thermodynamically stable quaternary chalcogenides,AMM′Q_(3)(A=alkali/alkaline earth/post-transition metals;M/M′=transition metals,lanthanides;Q=chalcogens)using high-throughput density functional theory(DFT)calculations.We validate the presence of lowκl in these materials by calculatingκl of several predicted stable compounds using the Peierls–Boltzmann transport equation.Our analysis reveals that the lowκl originates from the presence of either a strong lattice anharmonicity that enhances the phononscatterings or rattler cations that lead to multiple scattering channels in their crystal structures.Our thermoelectric calculations indicate that some of the predicted semiconductors may possess high energy conversion efficiency with their figure-of-merits exceeding 1 near 600 K.Our predictions suggest experimental research opportunities in the synthesis and characterization of these stable,low κ_(l) compounds. | Koushik Pal Yi Xia Jiahong Shen Jiangang He Yubo Luo Mercouri G.Kanatzidis Chris Wolverton | 2021 | npj Computational Materials2021,,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Application of the Double-difference Relocation Method Combined with Waveform Cross-correlation on the Three Gorges Reservoir Seismicity显示文摘In this paper,we use the double difference location method based on waveform crosscorrelation algorithm for precise positioning of the Three Gorges Reservoir( TGR)earthquakes and analysis of seismic activity. First,we use the bi-spectrum cross-correlation method to analyze the seismic waveform data of TGR encrypted networks from March,2009 to December,2010,and evaluate the quality of waveform cross-correlation analysis.Combined with the waveform cross-correlation of data obtained, we use the double difference method to relocate the earthquake position. The results show that location precision using bi-spectrum verified waveform cross-correlation data is higher than that by using other types of data,and the mean 2 sig-error in EW,NS and UD are 3.2 m,3.9 m and 6.2 m,respectively. For the relocation of the Three Gorges Reservoir earthquakes,the results show that the micro-earthquakes along the Shenlongxi river in the Badong reservoir area obviously show the characteristics of three linear zones with nearly east-west direction,which is in accordance with the small faults and carbonate strata line of the neotectonic period,revealing the reservoir water main along the underground rivers or caves permeated and induced seismic activity.
