| 1 | Meditation promotes insightful problem-solving by keeping people in amindful and alert conscious state显示文摘Although previous studies have shown that sleep can inspire insight,it is still unclear whether meditation can promote insight.Meditation differs from other types of passive rest such as relaxation and sleep because it requires full consciousness andmindfulness of targets such as one's breathing.Forty-eight university students without meditation experience were recruited to learn a simple meditation technique.They were given a list of 10 insight problems to solve (the pre-test session).In this study,we focused on the unsolved problems and examined if they could be successfully solved after a 20min rest interval with or without meditation.Results showed that relative to the control group that listened to Chinese or English words and made a language judgment,the groups who learned meditation successfully solved significantly more failed problems from the pre-test session,providing direct evidence for the role of meditation in promoting insight.Further analysis showed that maintaining amindful and alert state during meditation (raising a hand to report every 10 deep breaths compared to every 100 deep breaths) resulted in more insight regarding the failed items from the pre-test session.This implies that it was watchfulness in meditation,rather than relaxation,that actually contributed to insight.Consistently,in the meditation session or control task,the percentage of alpha waves—a brain index of mental relaxation—was negatively correlated with insight.These results suggest a meditation-based insight-promoting mechanism different from that involved in passive rest such as relaxation and sleep. | REN Jun HUANG ZhiHui LUO Jing WEI GaoXia YING XiaoPing DING ZhiGuang WU YiBin LUO Fei | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10: | 11 |
| 2 | The Function of β Zeolite for Enhancing the Propylene Yield in FCC Process显示文摘The ultra-stable Y zeolite, modified β zeolite, and modified ZSM-5 zeolite were characterized by NH3-TPD analysis. The results showed that the acidic substance of modified β zeolite is between that of the Y zeolite and the ZSM-5 zeolite. These three kinds of zeolites were evaluated by using hexane, decane and light diesel serving as feedstocks with different molecular size. The results showed that these three kinds of zeolites had different cracking capability and product distribution obtained for cracking hydrocarbons with different molecular sizes as a result of the difference in pore structure and acidic substances. The modified β zeolite can produce much more C_5~= —C_8~= olefins, which are excellent precursors of propylene. | 4 | Enhancing hydrothermal stability of framework Al in ZSM-5:From the view on the transformation between P and Al species by solid-state NMR spectroscopy显示文摘HZSM-5,with good surface acidity and shape selectivity,was reported as hydrocarbon cracking catalyst for multiple decades,however the hydrothermal stability,especially dealumination of tetrahedrally coordinated framework aluminum(TFAl),has been proved extensively as one of the major challenges during reactionregeneration process.Phosphorus was proposed to stabilize TFAl and indeed it enhanced the hydrothermal stability.Unfortunately,most of the phosphorus species would remain outside of the zeolite pore,mainly as polyphosphate species,and block the micropore severely,with only a limited portion introduced into the channel being able to interact with TFAl.Enlarging the pore size by alkali treatment(desilication)is one of the most convinced methods,but the details about specific P species during alkali treatment and its transformation upon hydrothermal activation is not acquired,thus the mechanism has not been fully understood.Herein,the P-containing species and its transformation during direct P modification and acid/alkali treatment followed by Pmodification have been studied,and the mechanism on the interaction between P and Al species has been investigated,using several analytical methods,especially Solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(SSNMR)spectroscopy.It was found that the combination of desilication and subsequent phosphorus modification can enhance the activity of the ZSM-5 for the cracking of ethylcyclohexane,due to the better hydrothermal stabilization of acid sites by the enhanced interaction between phosphorus and TFAl,resulting from the improved accessibility of TFAl because of the successful generation of mesoporosity.Whereas the acid treatment followed by phosphorus modification,with declined retention of crystallinity and P/Al ratio,monoclinic/orthorhombic transition during steam activation,and the failed generation of mesopores,would cause obvious aggregation of the phosphorus species and could not improve the hydrothermal stability of the ZSM-5 effectively,and the direct phosphatation turned out much worse.Finally,a specific index that the intensity of the signal at 39 in 27Al MAS NMR spectra before steam activation was proposed as the indicator for determining the efficiency of phosphorus modification.And the proposed mechanism on the interaction between phosphorus and TFAl during the phosphorus modification could also be applicable in other zeolites. | Lei Han Ying Ouyang Enhui Xing Yibin Luo Zhijian Da | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,12: | 3 |

| 6 | Investigation of the Ion-Exchange Behavior of Zeolite Y in the Presence of Resin显示文摘Ion-exchange process of zeolite Y using ammonium-type resin as an exchange reagent was successfully carried out. The effect of temperature, space velocity and ion concentration on the breakthrough curves was carefully investigated. At the first exchange section, the maximum proportion of qualified zeolites(QR) was obtained at a temperature of 70 ℃, a weight hourly space velocity of 0.61 h-1, and an ion concentration of 197 mg/L. The minimum length of mass-transfer zone(MTZ) of the resin bed was achieved at a temperature of 70 ℃, a space velocity of 0.61 h-1, and an ion concentration of 423 mg/L. At the second exchange section, the length of MTZ of the resin bed was significantly increased, and the exchange of Na+ ions contained in zeolite Y was more difficult than that achieved at the first exchange section. | 8 | Synthesis of Nanosized SSZ-13 Zeolite and Performance of Its Mixed Matrix Membrane for CO2/CH4 Separation显示文摘Nanosized SSZ-13 zeolite was synthesized by traditional hydrothermal method using N,N,N-trimethyl-1-adamantanaminium hydroxide as the structure-directing agent (SDA). The influence of different preparative conditions of nanosized SSZ-13 was investigated systematically. The synthetic zeolites were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), nitrogen physisorption, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). By means of the self-assembled method, the thin SSZ-13/polyvinyl alcohol nanocomposite membranes were obtained by incorporating the nanosized SSZ-13 zeolite into the polymeric precursor (polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)). The permeation properties of pure CO2 and CH4 through the mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) were measured. | 9 | Regulating Charge and Exciton Distribution in High-Performance Hybrid White Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with n-Type Interlayer Switch显示文摘The interlayer(IL) plays a vital role in hybrid white organic light-emitting diodes(WOLEDs); however,only a negligible amount of attention has been given to n-type ILs. Herein, the n-type IL, for the first time,has been demonstrated to achieve a high efficiency, high color rendering index(CRI), and low voltage trade-off.The device exhibits a maximum total efficiency of 41.5 lm W^(-1), the highest among hybrid WOLEDs with n-type ILs. In addition, high CRIs(80–88) at practical luminances(C1000 cd m^(-2)) have been obtained, satisfying the demand for indoor lighting. Remarkably, a CRI of 88 is the highest among hybrid WOLEDs. Moreover, the device exhibits low voltages, with a turn-on voltage of only 2.5 V([1 cd m^(-2)), which is the lowest among hybrid WOLEDs. The intrinsic working mechanism of the device has also been explored; in particular, the role of n-type ILs in regulating the distribution of charges and excitons has been unveiled. | 14 | Insights into the Reaction Network and Mechanism of Green Aerobic Oxidative Esterification of Methacrolein over Different Heterogeneous Catalysts显示文摘The oxidative esterification of methacrolein(MAL)is an important way to prepare high-valued methyl methacrylate(MMA),but this process is ultra-complex due to the high reactivity of both C=O and C=C bonds in MAL molecule.In order to further improve MMA selectivity,the reaction network and relevant mechanisms have been proposed and profoundly investigated in this paper.Five kinds of fundamental reactions are involved in this process,including(a)the acetal reaction;(b)the aerobic oxidation of hemiacetal;(c)the alkoxylation of C=C double bond;(d)the Diels-Alder reaction;and(e)the hydrogenation reaction of unsaturated double bond.Among them,the Diels-Alder reaction of MAL is non-catalyzed,and the Brönsted acid sites or the Lewis acid sites favor promoting acetal reaction of MAL with methanol,while the alkoxylation of C=C bond with methanol is enhanced under alkaline condition.In particular,by employing the Pd-based catalysts,hydrogenation products are formed in alkaline methanol solution,hence with lower than those obtained by the Au-based catalysts.Notably,it is necessary to match the hemiacetal fromation and aerobic oxidation of hemiacetal,which is relevant with the amount and strength of acid and redox sites.Consequently,this work can provide a good guidance for the further design of both catalysts and processes in future. | Li Chenhao Xia Changjiu Liu Yujia Huang Kaimeng Peng Xinxin Liu Jinsheng Lin Min Zhu Bin Luo Yibin Shu Xingtian | 2021 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2021,23,3: | 1 |
