| 1 | Lunar topographic model CLTM-s01 from Chang’E-1 laser altimeter显示文摘More than 3 million range measurements from the Chang’E-1 Laser Altimeter have been used to produce a global topographic model of the Moon with improved accuracy. Our topographic model, a 360th degree and order spherical harmonic expansion of the lunar radii, is designated as Chang’E-1 Lunar Topography Model s01 (CLTM-s01). This topographic field, referenced to a mean radius of 1738 km, has an absolute vertical accuracy of approximately 31 m and a spatial resolution of 0.25o (~7.5 km). This new lunar topographic model has greatly improved previous models in spatial coverage, accuracy and spatial resolution, and also shows the polar regions with the altimeter results for the first time. From CLTM-s01, the mean, equatorial, and polar radii of the Moon are 1737103, 1737646, and 1735843 m, respectively. In the lunar-fixed coordinate system, this model shows a COM/COF offset to be (-1.777, -0.730, 0.237) km along the x, y, and z directions, respectively. | 2 | The Pengguan tectonic dome of Longmen Mountains, Sichuan Province:Mesozoic denudation of a Neoproterozoic magmatic arc-basin system显示文摘Neoproterozoic igneous and metamorphic complexes occur as tectonic domes in the Longmen Mountains of the western margin of the Yangtze Block, and are important in reconstructing the Rodinian supercontinent and constraining the timing and mechanism of tectonic denudational processes. The Pengguan dome consists of granitic intrusions and metamorphic rocks of the Huangshuihe Group and is tectonically overlain by ductilly deformed Sinian to Paleozoic strata. The plutonic intrusions consist of granites with abundant amphibolite enclaves. New LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating yielded an emplacement age of 809±3 Ma and a protolith age of 844±6 Ma for the granite. The granitic rocks have geochemical signatures typical of A-type granites, indicating their formation under an extensional environment, by melting of newly formed tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite (TTG) rocks. A detachment fault, characterized by variable ductile shear deformation of S-C fabric and ESE-ward kinematics, separates the Pengguan dome from the Sinian-Paleozoic cover. 40Ar/39Ar dating of muscovite from the mylonite in the detachment fault of the dome demonstrates that ductile deformation occurred at ~160 Ma. | 3 | Comparison and modeling of two biofilm processes applied to decentralized wastewater treatment显示文摘In order to control water pollution in the rapidly urbanizing South China area,biological contact oxidation(BCO)process and biological aerated filter(BAF)process were applied in a pilot-scale experiment for decentralized wastewater treatment.An investigation to find the optimal parameters of the two biofilm systems was conducted on hydraulic loading,organic loading,and aeration rate.The results indicated that the water reuse criteria required a maximum hydraulic and organic loading of 30.0 m^(3)/(m^(2)·d)and 4.0 kg COD/(m^(3)·d),respectively,as well as a minimum effluent DO of 4.0 mg/L.The utilization of a new media allowed BAF to perform better than BCO.The kinetic description of the COD removal process for BAF and BCO are Se=S0e^(-0.639t)/(1+1.035t),and S_(e)=S_(0)/[(1+0.947t)(1+1.242t)],respectively.The correlativity analysis showed that the two models could predict the effluent water quality based on the hydraulic retention time.Thus,the appropriate hydraulic loading for certain effluent water quality demands could be determined.The two models could be applied to wastewater treatment practice. | Guanglei QIU Liancheng XIANG Yonghui SONG Jianfeng PENG Ping ZENG Peng YUAN | 2009 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2009,3,4: | 4 |
| 4 | Single-cell transcriptomes of peripheral blood cells indicate and elucidate severity of COVID-19显示文摘The blood and immune system of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)infected patients are dysfunctional,and numerous studies have been conducted to resolve their characteristics and pathogenic mechanisms.Nevertheless,the variations of immune responses along with disease severity have not been comprehensively documented.Here,we profiled the single-cell transcriptomes of 96,313 peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)derived from 12 COVID-19 patients(including four moderate,four severe and four critical cases)and three healthy donors.We showed that proliferative CD8 effector T cells with declined immune functions and cytotoxicity accumulated in the critical stage.By contrast,the quantity of natural killer(NK)cells was significantly reduced,while they exhibited enhanced immune activities.Notably,a gradually attenuated responseto COVID-19 along with disease severity was observed in monocytes,in terms of cellular composition,transcriptional discrepancy and transcription factor regulatory network.Furthermore,we identified immune cell-type dependent cytokine signatures distinguishing the severity of COVID-19 patients.In addition,cell interactions between CD8 effector T/NK cells and monocytes mediated by inflammatory cytokines were enhanced in moderate and severe stages,but weakened in critical cases.Collectively,our work uncovers the cellular and molecular players underlying the disordered and heterogeneous immune responses associated with COVID-19 severity,which could provide valuable insights for the treatment of critical COVID-19 patients. | Xiaowei Xie Xuelian Cheng Gaoxiang Wang Biao Zhang Mengyao Liu Liting Chen Hui Cheng Sha Hao Jianfeng Zhou Ping Zhu Tao Cheng | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10: | 3 |

| 6 | Determination of trace heavy metals in milk using an ionic liquid and bismuth oxide nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode显示文摘A novel carbon composite electrode modified with bismuth oxide nanoparticles and the ionic liquid n-octylpyridinium hexafluorophosphate was fabricated and used to simultaneously determine cadmium and lead levels using square wave anodic stripping voltammetry.This electrode combines the unique advantages of nanomaterials and ionic liquid with the low cost and easy fabrication of the carbon composite electrode.Compared with the traditional binder based composite electrode,our electrode exhibited well-defined and separate stripping voltammetric peaks for cadmium and lead.Furthermore,the antifouling capacity of the bismuth film electrode was significantly improved by the ionic liquid.Under optimized conditions,the linear range of the composite electrode was from 3.0 to 30.0 μg L-1 for both metal ions with a detection limit of 0.15 μg L-1 for cadmium and 0.21 μg L-1 for lead.Trial milk sample analyses showed that the modified electrode was sensitive,reliable and effective for the determination of trace heavy metals,holding great promise for routine analysis applications. | PING JianFeng WU Jian YING YiBin | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,15: | 2 |

| 8 | Prognostic significance of X-ray cross-complementing gene 1 expression in gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the prognostic significance of X-ray cross-complementing gene 1(XRCC1) in patients with gastric cancer undergoing surgery and platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy.Methods: Immunohistochemistry(IHC) was used to evaluate XRCC1 protein expression profiles on surgical specimens of 612 gastric cancer patients. The relationship between XRCC1 expression and existing prognostic factors, platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy, disease-free survival(DFS) and overall survival(OS) were analyzed.Results: Among 612 patients staged II/III in our study, 182(29.74%) were evaluated as XRCC1 IHC positive. XRCC1 expression was not significantly related to OS(P=0.347) or DFS(P=0.297). Compared with surgery only, platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy significantly improved the OS(P=0.031). And the patients with negative XRCC1 expression benefited more from platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy(P=0.049). Multivariate analysis demonstrated that tumor size, T category, N category, vascular or nerve invasion and platinum-based chemotherapy were good prognostic factors for OS(P<0.05). Though XRCC1 plays an important role in DNA repair pathways, no significant relationship is found in XRCC1 expression and OS among gastric cancer in our study.Conclusions: XRCC1 might be an alternative prognostic marker for the patients of gastric cancer after radical resection. The frequency domain reliability refers to the probability that an electromagnetic performance indicator can meet the intended requirements within a specific frequency band, considering the uncertainty of structural parameters and frequency-variant electromagnetic parameters.And then a frequency domain reliability analysis method based on univariate dimension reduction method is proposed, which provides an effective calculation tool for electromagnetic frequency domain reliability. In electromagnetic problems, performance indicators usually vary with frequency. The method firstly discretizes the frequency-variant performance indicator function into a series of frequency points' functions, and then transforms the frequency domain reliability problem into a series system reliability problem of discrete frequency points' functions. Secondly, the univariate dimension reduction method is introduced to solve the probability distribution functions and correlation coefficients of discrete frequency points' functions in the system. Finally, according to the above calculation results, the series system reliability can be solved to obtain the frequency domain reliability, and the cumulative distribution function of the performance indicator can also be obtained. In this study,Monte Carlo simulation is adopted to demonstrate the validity of the frequency domain reliability analysis method.
