1Ultralight Magnetic and Dielectric Aerogels Achieved by Metal-Organic Framework Initiated Gelation of Graphene Oxide for Enhanced Microwave Absorption显示文摘The development of a convenient methodology for synthesizing the hierarchically porous aerogels comprising metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)and graphene oxide(GO)building blocks that exhibit an ultralow density and uniformly distributed MOFs on GO sheets is important for various applications.Herein,we report a facile route for synthesizing MOF/reduced GO(rGO)aerogels based on the gelation of GO,which is directly initiated using MOF crystals.Free metal ions exposed on the surface of MIL-88A nanorods act as linkers that bind GO nanosheets to a three-dimensional porous network via metal–oxygen covalent or electrostatic interactions.The MOF/rGOderived magnetic and dielectric aerogels Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/rGO and Ni-doped Fe_(3)O_(4)@C/rGO show notable microwave absorption(MA)performance,simultaneously achieving strong absorption and broad bandwidth at low thickness of 2.5(-58.1 dB and 6.48 GHz)and 2.8 mm(-46.2 dB and 7.92 GHz)with ultralow filling contents of 0.7 and 0.6 wt%,respectively.The microwave attenuation ability of the prepared aerogels is further confirmed via a radar cross-sectional simulation,which is attributed to the synergistic effects of their hierarchically porous structures and heterointerface engineering.This work provides an effective pathway for fabricating hierarchically porous MOF/rGO hybrid aerogels and offers magnetic and dielectric aerogels for ultralight MA.Xiaogu Huang Jiawen Wei Yunke Zhang BinBin Qian Qi Jia Jun Liu Xiaojia Zhao Gaofeng Shao 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,7:4
2Prediction of radiosensitivity in primary central nervous system germ cell tumors using dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCEMRI) for predicting tumor response to radiotherapy in patients with suspected primary central nervous system(CNS) germ cell tumors(GCTs).Methods: DCE-MRI parameters of 35 patients with suspected primary CNS GCTs were obtained prior to diagnostic radiation, using the Tofts and Kermode model. Radiosensitivity was determined in tumors diagnosed 2 weeks after radiation by observing changes in tumor size and markers as a response to MRI. Taking radiosensitivity as the gold standard, the cut-off value of DCE-MRI parameters was measured by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. Diagnostic accuracy of DCE-MRI parameters for predicting radiosensitivity was evaluated by ROC curve.Results: A significant elevation in transfer constant(Ktrans) and extravascular extracellular space(Ve)(P=0.000), as well as a significant reduction in rate constant(Kep)(P=0.000) was observed in tumors. Ktrans, relative Ktrans, and relative Kep of the responsive group were significantly higher than non-responsive groups. No significant difference was found in Kep, Ve, and relative Ve between the two groups. Relative Ktrans showed the best diagnostic value in predicting radiosensitivity with a sensitivity of 100%, specificity of 91.7%, positive predictive value(PPV) of 95.8%, and negative predictive value(NPV) of 100%.Conclusions: Relative Ktrans appeared promising in predicting tumor response to radiation therapy(RT). 3Effect of Facet Displacement on Radiation Field and Its Application for Panel Adjustment of Large Reflector Antenna显示文摘Large reflector antennas are widely used in radars, satellite communication, radio astronomy, and so on. The rapid developments in these fields have created demands for development of better performance and higher surface accuracy. However, low accuracy and low efficiency are the common disadvantages for traditional panel alignment and adjustment. In order to improve the surface accuracy of large reflector antenna, a new method is presented to determinate panel adjustment values from far field pattern. Based on the method of Physical Optics(PO),the effect of panel facet displacement on radiation field value is derived. Then the linear system is constructed between panel adjustment vector and far field pattern.Using the method of Singular Value Decomposition(SVD), the adjustment value for all panel adjustors are obtained by solving the linear equations. An experiment is conducted on a 3.7 m reflector antenna with 12 segmented panels. The results of simulation and test are similar, which shows that the presented method is feasible. Moreover, the discussion about validation shows that the method can be used for many cases of reflector shape. 4XAFS study of Cu^(2+) in aqueous solution of CuBr_2显示文摘Copper ion is the essential microelement to many organisms. In this paper, the local structure of Cu2+ in CuBr2 aqueous solutions with different concentrations are investigated by using X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) technique. XANES (X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure) spectra indicate that charge transfer from Br- to Cu2+ decreases with the solution concentration, which lead to a shift of the absorption edge. The shoulder appearing at the rising edge proves to be characteristic of a tetragonal distortion. The Fourier transform magnitudes of EXAFS (Extended X-ray absorption fine structure) data of Cu species suggest that more Cu-Br bonds may exist in high concentrations. A fivefold coordination configuration like a pyramid is used as the fitting parameters. From the analysis of the coordination numbers, the proportion of Cu-O and Cu-Br is 4:1 in the saturated solution. The Br atom is on the equatorial plane of the model. 5An altered CD8^(+) T cell epitope of insulin prevents type 1 diabetes in humanized NOD mice显示文摘Autoreactive CD8^(+)T cells,which play an indispensable role inβcell destruction,represent an emerging target for the prevention of type 1 diabetes(T1D).Altered peptide ligands(APLs)can efficiently induce antigen-specific T cells anergy,apoptosis or shifts in the immune response.Here,we found that HLA-A*0201-restricted CD8^(+)T cell responses against a primaryβ-cell autoantigen insulin epitope InsB15–14 were present in both NOD.β2m null.HHD NOD mice and T1D patients.We generated several APL candidates for InsB15–14 by residue substitution at the p6 position.Only H6F exhibited an inhibitory effect on mInsB1_(5–14)-specific CD8^(+)T cell responses in vitro.H6F treatment significantly reduced the T1D incidence,which was accompanied by diminished autoreactive CD8^(+)T cell responses to mInsB15-14,inhibited infiltration of CD8^(+)and CD4^(+)T cells in the pancreas and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine production in pancreatic and splenic T cells in NOD.β2m^(null).HHD mice.Mechanistically,H6F treatment significantly augmented a tiny portion of CD8^(+)CD25^(+)Foxp3^(+)T cells in the spleen and especially in the pancreas.This subset exhibited typical Treg phenotypes and required peptide-specific restimulation to exert immunosuppressive activity.Therefore,this APL H6F may be a promising candidate with potential clinical application value for antigen-specific prevention of T1D.Mengjun Zhang Shufeng Wang Binbin Guo Gang Meng Chi Shu Wenli Mai Qian Zheng Xiaoling Chen Yuzhang Wu Li Wang 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,6:1
6A Modularity Analysis Method for Forum Situation Prediction显示文摘A forum is a social network that consists of posters and the following comments made by netizens. Generally speaking, forum topics are evolving over time dynamically. In this paper, based on time series analysis and matrix modularity analysis, a novel prediction method is proposed through investigating the correlating influence of three key measurements: relationship strength, pillars, and change frequency of a forum topic. The method demonstrates that there exist some macroscopic and potential laws for forum situation prediction. 7Diurnal Variation of Volatile Organic Compounds in Recreational Forests and Its Relationship with Microclimate Factors显示文摘This study used the dynamic headspace adsorption(DHS) to collect volatile organic compounds(VOCs) released from the Fokienia hodginsii forest in summer, and analyzed the the composition and concentration of VOCs and their correlation with environmental factors. The results showed that: there were 165 types of VOCs in the Fokienia hodginsii forest;the diurnal variation of the concentration of total volatile organic compounds(TVOCs) was 'W'-shaped, the concentration reached its peak at 13:00–15:00 and its trough at 1:00–3:00;VOCs beneficial to human health mainly appeared at 13:00, while VOCs harmful to human health chiefly occurred at 11:00–19:00. The correlation analysis between the concentration of VOCs and climatic factors indicated that the concentration of VOCs was basically proportional to the temperature and illumination intensity and inversely proportional to the humidity and wind speed. 8A Comparison of Human Comfort Between the Inner and Outer Fokienia hodginsii Forests and the Urban Area in Autumn显示文摘This study observed the temperature,relative humidity,and wind speed of the inner and outer Fokienia hodginsii forests and the urban area in autumn,used the comprehensive comfort index to represent human comfort,compared the differences in the microclimates between the inner and outer forests and the urban area,and evaluated the impacts of the 3 plots on the comfort level of people’s outdoor activities.The results showed that: The inner forest had a drop in temperature ranging 0.7℃ to 1.5 ℃ compared with the outer forest;the outer forest had a drop in temperature ranging 0.6℃ to 3.5℃ compared with the urban area;the relative humidity of the inner forest was 0.04–5% higher than that of the outer forest,and 21.7–37.1% higher than that of the urban area;the wind speed of the inner forest was 56% lower than that of the urban area,and 35% lower than that of the outer forest.In short,the inner forest,where people felt most comfortable,was a better place for developing outdoor activities in autumn.WANG Qian WANG Cheng ZHANG Zhongxia REN Binbin XU Chao GUO Junqi 2019Journal of Landscape Research2019,11,5:0

11Optimization of Chinese solar greenhouse building parameters based on CFD simulation and entropy weight method显示文摘The building parameters of Chinese solar greenhouse(CSG)directly affect the front roof lighting and indoor thermal environment.In order to obtain the optimal parameter combination,a building parameter optimization method based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulation and entropy weight method was proposed.Firstly,a three-dimensional thermal and humidity environment model of CSG was constructed considering the coupling effect of soil,crop,and back wall based on CFD.The reliability of the model was validated through experiments in a CSG of Yongqing County,Hebei Province of China.Then,the indoor air temperature rise rate,air temperature and humidity uneven coefficient,and average air temperature and humidity were selected as the evaluation indicators of CSG thermal and humidity environment.The ridge height,back wall height and the horizontal projection of back roof of CSG were selected as the three factors of the orthogonal test plan,and a three-factor and four-level plan was designed,resulting in 16 different parameter combinations.By use of CFD simulation,the thermal and humidity environment evaluation indicators under different parameter combinations were calculated.The entropy weight method was used to assign weights to the evaluation indicators,and the comprehensive evaluation indicators of CSG thermal and humidity environment were obtained based on the linear weighting principle.By comparing comprehensive evaluation indicators,the optimal combination of building parameters was obtained with a ridge height of 5.72 m,a back wall height of 3.2 m,and a horizontal projection of 2.1 m on the back roof.The research results can provide a practical and feasible method for optimizing the building parameters of CSG,and provided theoretical guidance for the structural design and optimization of CSG.Fen He Changqing Si Xiaoming Ding Zhenjun Gao Binbin Gong Fei Qi Yilei Yin Qian Feng 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,6:0
12Preparation and Performance of Ternesite-Ye’Elimite Clinker Produced from Steel Slag at Lower Temperature显示文摘Ternesite(4CaO·2SiO_(2)·CaSO_(4))-Ye’elimite(3CaO·3Al_(2)O_(3)·CaSO_(4))(simplified as TY)cement clinker was successfully prepared from steel slag at 1200℃in this study.XRD,TG/DSC and SEM were used to analyze the mineral composition and hydration products of the TY clinker.The sintering process and hydration mechanism of the TY clinker were investigated.Results show that a large amount of ternesite and ye’elimite have been formed at 1200℃,while ternesite has not been decomposed.Clinker minerals include ternesite,ye’elimite,gypsum and a small amount of iron phase.Iron phase from steel slag can promote the formation of liquid phase with the presence of gypsum at 1200℃and thus lead to the coexistence of ternesite and ye’elimite.The compressive strength of TY cement cured at 28 d is 59.5 MPa,which is higher than that of P.II 42.5 cement.This research provides a sustainable and energy-effective way for the reutilization of steel slag,an otherwise valueless waste.Zhengyang Li Wei Guo Yueyang Hu Xiao Wang Binbin Qian Cuifeng Jiang 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,11:0
133D-printed,bi-layer,biomimetic artificial periosteum for boosting bone regeneration显示文摘Periosteum,a membrane covering the surface of the bone,plays an essential role in maintaining the function of bone tissue—and especially in providing nourishment and vascularization during the bone regeneration process.Currently,most artificial periostea have relatively weak mechanical strength and a rapid degradation rate,and they lack integrated angiogenesis and osteogenesis functions.In this study,a bi-layer,biomimetic,artificial periosteum composed of a methacrylated gelatin–nano-hydroxyapatite(GelMA-nHA)cambium layer and a poly(N-acryloyl 2-lycine)(PACG)-GelMA-Mg^(2+)fibrous layer was fabricated via 3D printing.The GelMA-nHA layer is shown to undertake the function of improving osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells with the sustainable release of Ca^(2+) from nHA nanoparticles.The hydrogen-bonding-strengthened P(ACG-GelMA-L)-Mg^(2+)hydrogel layer serves to protect the inner defect site and prolong degradation time(60 days)to match new bone regeneration.Furthermore,the released magnesium ion exhibits a prominent effect in regulating the polarization phenotype of macrophage cells into theM2 phenotype and thus promotes the angiogenesis of the human umbilical vein endothelial cells in vitro.This bi-layer artificial periosteum was implanted into a critical-sized cranial bone defect in rats,and the 12-week post-operative outcomes demonstrate optimal new bone regeneration.Yage Sun Ziwei Gao Xiaoping Zhang Ziyang Xu Yahan Zhang Binbin He Rong Yang Qian Zhang Qiang Yang Wenguang Liu 2022Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,3:0
14Effects of traditional Chinese medicine on treatment outcomes in severe COVID-19 patients:a single-centre study显示文摘As the search for effective treatments for COVID-19 continues,the high mortality rate among critically ill patients in Intensive Care Units(ICU)presents a profound challenge.This study explores the potential benefits of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)as a supplementary treatment for severe COVID-19.A total of 110 critically ill COVID-19 patients at the Intensive Care Unit(ICU)of Vulcan Hill Hospital between Feb.,2020,and April,2020(Wuhan,China)participated in this observational study.All patients received standard supportive care protocols,with a subset of 81 also receiving TCM as an adjunct treatment.Clinical characteristics during the treatment period and the clinical outcome of each patient were closely monitored and analysed.Our findings indicated that the TCM group exhibited a significantly lower mortality rate compared with the non-TCM group(16 of 81 vs 24 of 29;0.3 vs 2.3 person/month).In the adjusted Cox proportional hazards models,TCM treatment was associated with improved survival odds(P<0.001).Furthermore,the analysis also revealed that TCM treatment could partially mitigate inflammatory responses,as evidenced by the reduced levels of proinflammatory cytokines,and contribute to the recovery of multiple organic functions,thereby potentially increasing the survival rate of critically ill COVID-19 patients.XIAO Yongjiu LI Binbin LIU Chang HUANG Xiuyu MA Ling QIAN Zhirong ZHANG Xiaopeng ZHANG Qian LI Dunqing CAI Xiaoqing YAN Xiangyong LUO Shuping XIANG Dawei XIAO Kun 2024Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2024,22,1:0

18An in vitro study to explore the role of prolylcarboxypeptidase in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Prolylcarboxypeptidase(PRCP)belongs to the S28 family of proteases,which is also a dipeptidyl peptidase.In this study,we demonstrate the expression pattern of PRCP in Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).We found that the repression of PRCP expression by small interfering RNA successfully inhibited cell proliferation,migration,and invasion.Further,we explored the involvement of PRCP in the regulation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).The epithelial marker E-cadherin was significantly increased,meanwhile mesenchymal markers MUC1,vimentin,and SNAIL were markedly decreased in PRCP knockdown cells.Moreover,the downregulation of PRCP in the NSCLC cells induced the expression of apoptosis-related proteins in vitro.We performed RT-PCR in 30 pairs of clinical NSCLC tissues and adjacent non-cancerous tissues,which revealed significantly higher PRCP expression levels in cancer tissues than in adjacent non-cancerous tissues.Collectively the results from our study suggest a possible cancer promotion role of PRCP in NSCLC.Binbin QIAN Xiaoduo LIU Xiaolin GU Lu YANG Dake CHEN 2020BIOCELL2020,44,1:0

20Diurnal Variation of Atmospheric Aerosol Particles in the Fokienia hodginsii Forest in Spring显示文摘With the Fokienia hodginsii forest in Qishan National Forest Park as the object of study, this study observed the diurnal variation of concentrations of atmospheric aerosol particles inside and outside the forest, collected the data of microclimate factors, and analyzed their correlation with the particle concentration. The results showed that the diurnal variation curves of the particle concentration of the forest and the forest edge had two peaks and two troughs'. There were two peaks throughout the day at 13:00 and 19:00 or 17:00 as well as two troughs at 7:00-9:00 and 15:00 or 17:00. The atmospheric aerosol particle in the forest was mainly fine particles, while the forest edge was dominated by coarse particles. For the forest and the forest edge, the diurnal variation trends of various atmospheric aerosol particles were similar.
