| 1 | Comprehensive analysis of NAC transcription factors and their expression during fruit spine development in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)显示文摘The cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)is an important vegetable crop worldwide,and fruit trichomes or spines are an important trait for external fruit quality.The mechanisms underlying spine formation are not well understood,but the plant-specific NAC family of transcription factors may play important roles in fruit spine initiation and development.In this study,we conducted a genome-wide survey and identified 91 NAC gene homologs in the cucumber genome.Clustering analysis classified these genes into six subfamilies;each contained a varying number of NAC family members with a similar intron–exon structure and conserved motifs.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed tissue-specific expression patterns of these genes,including 10 and 12 that exhibited preferential expression in the stem and fruit,respectively.Thirteen of the 91 NAC genes showed higher expression in the wild-type plant than in its near-isogenic trichome mutant,suggesting their important roles in fruit spine development.Exogenous application of four plant hormones promoted spine formation and increased spine density on the cucumber fruits;several NAC genes showed differential expression over time in response to phytohormone treatments on cucumber fruit,implying their essential roles in fruit-trichome development.Among the NAC genes identified,12 were found to be targets of 13 known cucumber micro-RNAs.Collectively,these findings provide a useful resource for further analysis of the interactions between NAC genes and genes underlying trichome organogenesis and development during fruit spine development in cucumber. | Xingwang Liu Ting wang Ezra Bartholomew Kezia Black Mingming Dong Yaqi Zhang Sen Yang Yanling Cai Shudan Xue Yiqun Weng Huazhong Ren | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 10 |

| 3 | A review of UAV monitoring in mining areas: current status and future perspectives显示文摘With the emergence and development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), different sensors have become more miniaturized and intelligent. UAVs equipped with various sensors are now an important approach for acquiring spatial data. Many advantages, such as low cost, short revisiting cycle, flexibility and high precision, have made UAVs powerful tools in geological, agricultural, ecological and forestry growth monitoring, as well as evaluation. Now, UAVs are a hotspot in scientific research. Their application in mining areas (MA), although still in its infancy, is developing rapidly in terms of speed, scale and service scope. This research examines aspects such as UAV platforms, different sensors and their application fields, as well as reviewing the advances of scientific research in MA at the present time. By combining current research and the functions of multiple sensors, an application framework for UAV monitoring in MA is constructed. Finally, the challenge and prospects for the development of UAVs and sensors are also considered. | 7 | Fabrication of carbonized spent coffee grounds/graphene nanoplates/cyanate ester composites for superior and highly absorbed electromagnetic interference shielding performance显示文摘The conductive polymer composites(CPCs) with highly efficient electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding effectiveness(SE) are always accompanied with excessive reflectivity, which would cause serious secondary EMI pollution. In this regard, the significant reduction of EMI reflection of CPCs to alleviate secondary pollution is deemed to be very important. Herein, a promising cyanate ester(CE) based composite was successfully fabricated by compounding carbonized spent coffee grounds(C-SCG) and graphene nanosheets(GNSs) via a facile solution blending followed by a hot-pressing method. Benefiting from the porous structure of C-SCG and the layered structure of GNSs, a three-dimensional(3 D)multi-interface conductive network in the CE was easily constructed. The EMI SE of the resultant 9 wt%C-SCG/CE composite(C9) is 15.38 d B and dramatically enhanced to 31.09 d B with the presence of 3 wt% GNSs. The remarkable enhancement is mainly attributed to the formation of the efficient conductive pathways as well as the well-dispersion of the incorporated fillers. Meanwhile, the absorption-dominated shielding mechanism in the prepared composites gets benefit from the synergistic effect of porous C-SCG and lamellar GNSs, which effectively captures and attenuates electromagnetic waves. | 17 | Asymmetric multilayered MXene-Ag NWs/cellulose nanofiber composite films with antibacterial properties for high-efficiency electromagnetic interference shielding显示文摘Flexible, lightweight, robust and versatile properties are essential for the next generation of wearable as well as intelligent electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding materials. In this work, multilayered films containing cellulose nanofiber(CNF) layers, CNF/MXene layers, and CNF/silver nanowires(CNF/Ag NWs)layers were fabricated by an efficient and easy-to-use vacuum filtration method. Compared with a uniformly mixed film, the resultant layered composite films that loaded with a low MXene and AgNWs content exhibit superior mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 137 MPa, a strain at break of 5.7%, excellent EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE) of 61.9 d B, and higher EMI SE/t of 20,653 d B cm^(-1).This is attributed to the high-performance CNF substrate, the highly efficient layered structures, and extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions. In particular, a high degree of ohmic loss of multiple interfaces and polarization relaxation of local defects, as well as an abundance of terminal groups, favor the loss of electromagnetic waves(EMW) within the material. In addition, the prepared multifunctional layered composite films also show good antibacterial properties. | 20 | A drone‑and feld‑based investigation of the land degradation and soil erosion at an opencast coal mine dump after 5 years’evolution of natural processes显示文摘Opencast coal mining has a large impact on the land surface,both at the mining pits themselves and at waste sites.After artifcial management is stopped,a reclaimed opencast coal mine dump is afected by wind and water erosion from natural processes,resulting in land degradation and even safety incidents.In this paper,the soil erosion and land degradation after 5 years of such natural processes,at the Xilinhot opencast coal mine dump in Inner Mongolia,were investigated.A multisource data acquisition method was applied:the vegetation fraction coverage(VFC)was extracted from GF-1 satellite imagery,high-precision terrain characteristics and the location and degree of soil erosion were obtained using a drone,and the physical properties of the topsoil were obtained by feld sampling.On this basis,the degree and spatial distribution of erosion cracks were identifed,and the causes of soil erosion and land degradation were analyzed using the geographical detector.The results show that(1)multi-source data acquisition method can provide efective basic data for the quantitative evaluation of the ecological environment at dumps,and(2)slope aspect and VFC are the main factors afecting the degree of degradation and soil erosion.Based on above analysis,several countermeasures are proposed to mitigate land degradation:(1)The windward slope be designed to imitate the natural landform.(2)Reasonable engineering measures should be applied at the slope to restrain soil erosion.(3)The Pioneer plants should be widely planted on the platform at the early stage of reclamation. | Wu Xiao He Ren Tao Sui Heyu Zhang Yanling Zhao Zhenqi Hu | 2022 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022,9,3: | 0 |
