1A New Critical Nitrogen Dilution Curve for Rice Nitrogen Status Diagnosis in Northeast China显示文摘In-season diagnosis of crop nitrogen(N) status is crucial for precision N management. Critical N(N_c) dilution curve and N nutrition index(NNI) have been proposed as effective methods to diagnose N status of different crops. The N_c dilution curves have been developed for indica rice in the tropical and temperate zones and japonica rice in the subtropical-temperate zone, but they have not been evaluated for short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the previously developed N_c dilution curves for rice in Northeast China and to develop a more suitable N_c dilution curve in this region. A total of17 N rate experiments were conducted in Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China from 2008 to 2013. The results indicated that none of the two previously developed N_c dilution curves was suitable to diagnose N status of the short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. A new N_c dilution curve was developed and can be described by the equation N_c = 27.7 W^(-0.34) if W ≥ 1 Mg dry matter(DM) ha^(-1) or N_c = 27.7 g kg^(-1) DM if W < 1 Mg DM ha^(-1), where W is the aboveground biomass. This new curve was lower than the previous curves. It was validated using a separate dataset, and it could discriminate non-N-limiting and N-limiting nutritional conditions. 2The contribution of absorption of integral nanocrystals to enhancement of oral bioavailability of quercetin显示文摘In this study,self-discriminating hybrid nanocrystals was utilized to explore the biological fate of quercetin hybrid nanocrystals(QT-HNCs)with diameter around 280 nm(QT-HNCs-280)and550 nm(QT-HNCs-550)following oral and intravenous administration and the contribution of integral nanocrystals to oral bioavailability enhancement of QT was estimated by comparing the absolute exposure of integral QT-HNCs and total QT in the liver.Results showed that QT-HNCs could reside in vivo as intact nanocrystals for as long as 48 h following oral and intravenous administration.A higher accumulation of integral QT-HNCs in liver and lung was observed for both oral and intravenous administration of QT-HNCs.The particle size affects the absorption and biodistribution of integral QT-HNCs and total QT.As compared to QT-HNCs-550,QT-HNCs-280 with smaller particle size is more easily absorbed,but dissolves faster in vivo,leading to higher distribution of QT(146.90 vs.117.91 h·mg/mL)but lower accumulation of integral nanocrystals(6.82 e10 vs.15.27 e10 h·[p/s]/[μW/cm2])in liver following oral administration.Due to its slower dissolution and enhanced recognition by RES,QT-HNCs-550 with larger diameter shows higher liver distribution for both of QT(1015.80 h·mg/mL)and integral nanocrystals(259.63 e10 h·[p/s]/[μW/cm2])than those of QT-HNCs-280(673.82&77.66 e10 h·[p/s]/[μW/cm2])following intravenous administration.The absolute exposure of integral QT-HNCs in liver following oral administration of QT-HNCs are 8.78%for QT-HNCs-280 and 5.88%for QT-HNCs-550,while the absolute exposure of total QT for QT-HNCs-280 and QT-HNCs-550 are 21.80%and 11.61%,respectively.Owing to imprecise quantifcation method,a surprisingly high contribution of integral QT-HNCs to oral bioavailability enhancement of QT(40.27%for QT-HNCs-280 and 50.65%for QT-HNCs-550)was obtained.These results revealed signifcant difference in absorption and biodistrbution between integral nanocrystals and overall drugs following oral and intravenous administration of QT-HNCs,and provided a meaningful reference for the contribution of integral nanocrystals to overall bioavailability enhancement.Baode Shen Chengying Shen Weifeng Zhu Hailong Yuan 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,4:10

4A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 5“Wrapping the gastroduodenal artery stump” during pancreatoduodenectomy reduced the stump hemorrhage incidence after operation显示文摘Objective: After pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD), the postoperative gastroduodenal artery stump(GDAS) hemorrhage is one of the most serious complications. The purpose of this study is to determine whether wrapping the GDAS during PD could decrease the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence.Methods: A retrospective review involving 280 patients who underwent PD from 2005 to 2012 was performed. Wrapping the GDAS during PD was defined as 'Wrapping the GDAS using the teres hepatis ligamentum during PD'. A total of 140 patients accepted the 'wrapping' procedure(wrapping group). The other 140 patients didn't apply the procedure(non-wrapping group). Age, sex, preoperative data, estimated intraoperative blood loss, postoperative complications, pathologic parameters and hospitalization time were compared between two groups.Results: There were no significant differences in patient characteristics between two groups. After wrapping, the incidence of postoperative GDAS bleeding decreased significantly(1/140 vs. 9/140, P=0.01). The rates of the other complications(such as intra-abdominal infection pancreatic fistula, billiary fistula, gastrointestinal bleeding, et al.) showed no significant differences. Conclusions: Wrapping the GDAS during PD significantly reduced the postoperative GDAS hemorrhage incidence. 6Overburden failure and the prevention of water and sand inrush during coal mining under thin bedrock显示文摘Coal mining under thin bedrock or thick unconsolidated soil layers brings mining problems related to these special geological conditions. The meaning of the term ''thin bedrock'' is defined through the thick- ness statistics of the coal seam and the bedrock layer. The coal-bearing strata having thick, unconsoli- dated aquifers and thin bedrock located at the Taiping Coal Mine in Shandong province were taken as a geological prototype for subsequent study. The geological, hydro-geological and engineering character- istics of the thin bedrock were analyzed. An engineering geological model was than established. Overbur- den failure and the development of ''Three Zones'' were studied by physical model tests. The rupture pattern and rock failure were analyzed for mining conditions under thin bedrock. The height of the caving zone and the freely flowing water fractured zone of different mining thicknesses were separately calcu- lated. The results show that a mining thickness greater than 3.5 m causes the height of the freely flowing water fractured zone to be sufficient to touch the weathered zone and the bottom of the Quaternary sys- tem aquifer, to various degrees. This, then, would lead to water and sand inrush into the working face. Measures to prevent water and sand flow inrush disasters by eliminating the power source are put fore- word. A field dewatering scheme was designed and observational data were obtained. The dewatering project had an obvious effect and the water level at working face number 8309 dropped to a safe level. The average draw down of the groundwater was observed to be 7.86 m. 7Extractive distillation: Advances in conceptual design, solvent selection,and separation strategies显示文摘Extractive distillation(ED) is one of the most promising approaches for the separation of the azeotropic or closeboiling mixtures in the chemical industry. The purpose of this paper is to provide a broad overview of the recent development of key aspects in the ED process involving conceptual design, solvent selection, and separation strategies. To obtain the minimum entrainer feed flow rate and reflux ratio for the ED process, the conceptual design of azeotropic mixture separation based on a topological analysis via thermodynamic feasibility insights involving residue curve maps, univolatility lines, and unidistribution curves is presented. The method is applicable to arbitrary multicomponent mixtures and allows direct screening of design alternatives. The determination of a suitable solvent is one of the key steps to ensure an effective and economical ED process. Candidate entrainers can be obtained from heuristics or literature studies while computer aided molecular design(CAMD) has superiority in efficiency and reliability. To achieve optimized extractive distillation systems, a brief review of evaluation method for both entrainer design and selection through CAMD is presented. Extractive distillation can be operated either in continuous extractive distillation(CED) or batch extractive distillation(BED), and both modes have been well-studied depending on the advantages in flexibility and low capital costs. To improve the energy efficiency, several configurations and technological alternatives can be used for both CED and BED depending on strategies and main azeotropic feeds. 8Prevalence, risk factors, and survival associated with pulmonary hypertension and heart failure among patients with underlying coronary artery disease: a national prospective, multicenter registry study in China显示文摘Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the commonest cause of heart failure (HF), whereas pulmonary hypertension (PH) has not been established or reported in this patient population. Therefore, we assessed the prevalence, risk factors, and survival in CAD-associated HF (CAD-HF) complicated with PH.Methods: Symptomatic CAD-HF patients were continuously enrolled in this prospective, multicenter registry study. Echocardiography, coronary arteriography, left and right heart catheterization (RHC), and other baseline clinical data were recorded. Patients were followed up and their survival was recorded.Results: One hundred and eighty-two CAD-HF patients were enrolled, including 142 with HF with a preserved ejection fraction (heart failure with preserved ejection fraction [HFpEF];left ventricular ejection fraction [LVEF] ≥50%) and 40 with a reduced ejection fraction (heart failure with reduced ejection fraction [HFrEF];LVEF < 50%). PH was diagnosed with RHC in 77.5% of patients. Patients with PH showed worse hemodynamic parameters and higher mortality. HFrEF-PH patients had worse survival than HFpEF-PH patients. CAD-HF patients with an enlarged left ventricular end-diastolic diameter and reduced hemoglobin were at higher risk of PH. Nitrate treatment reduced the risk of PH. Elevated creatinine and mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP), diastolic pressure gradient (DPG) ≥7 mmHg, and previous myocardial infarction (MI) entailed a higher risk of mortality in CAD-HF patients with PH.Conclusions: PH is common in CAD-HF and worsens the hemodynamics and survival in these patients. Left ventricle enlargement and anemia increase the risk of PH in CAD-HF. Patients may benefit from nitrate medications. 12急性心肌梗死患者初期支架植入和rt-PA静脉溶栓加补救支架植入对比研究(英文)显示文摘目的 比较急性心肌梗死 (AMI)患者冠状动脉内初期支架植入和静脉rt PA溶栓加补救支架植入治疗的临床疗效。方法 98例首次AMI患者随机给以冠状动脉内初期支架植入 (初期支架组 :4 8例 )和静脉rt PA溶栓加补救支架植入 (溶栓加支架组 :5 0例 )。所有患者行急诊冠状动脉造影以TIMI血流分级法判断梗死相关冠状动脉 (IRA)开通情况。记录住院期心脏事件 ;出院前用二维超声心动图测定两组患者左心室舒张末期和收缩末期容量并推算左心室射血分数 (LVEF)。结果 急诊冠状动脉造影显示支架组 4 7例 (97 91%)溶栓加支架组 5 0例 (10 0 %)IRA血流TIMI2 3级 ,但前者IRA前向血流TIMI3级者明显增多 (分别为 93 8%和 6 0 0 %,P =0 0 0 0 1)。两组患者住院期死亡率和心脏事件相似 ,但出院前超声心动图显示支架组LVEF(6 2 0 1%± 14.0 3%)高于溶栓加支架组 (5 0 0 1%± 132 %) ,P =0 0 0 0 1。结论 与静脉rt PA溶栓加补支架治疗相比 ,AMI初期支架植入可更好改善急性期心肌再灌注 ,并减少患者住院期心功能减退。蔡煦 张瑞岩 张建盛 沈卫峰 SHEN Weifeng 张大东 2002Chinese Medical Journal2002,,2:3

14Photodynamic therapy accelerates skin wound healing through promoting re-epithelialization显示文摘Background:Epidermal stem cells(EpSCs)that reside in cutaneous hair follicles and the basal layer of the epidermis are indispensable for wound healing and skin homeostasis.Little is known about the effects of photochemical activation on EpSC differentiation,proliferation and migration during wound healing.The present study aimed to determine the effects of photodynamic therapy(PDT)on wound healing in vivo and in vitro.Methods:We created mouse full-thickness skin resection models and applied 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA)for PDT to the wound beds.Wound healing was analysed by gross evaluation and haematoxylin–eosin staining in vivo.In cultured EpSCs,protein expression was measured using flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.Cell migration was examined using a scratch model;apoptosis and differentiation were measured using flow cytometry.Results:PDT accelerated wound closure by enhancing EpSC differentiation,proliferation and migration,thereby promoting re-epithelialization and angiogenesis.PDT inhibited inflammatory infiltration and expression of proinflammatory cytokines,whereas the secretion of growth factors was greater than in other groups.The proportion of transient amplifying cells was significantly greater in vivo and in vitro in the PDT groups.EpSC migration was markedly enhanced after ALAinduced PDT.Conclusions:Topical ALA-induced PDT stimulates wound healing by enhancing re-epithelialization,promoting angiogenesis as well as modulating skin homeostasis.This work provides a preliminary theoretical foundation for the clinical administration of topical ALA-induced PDT in skin wound healing.Zengjun Yang Xiaohong Hu Lina Zhou Yaxiong He Xiaorong Zhang Jiacai Yang Zhenyu Ju Yih-Cherng Liou Han-Ming Shen Gaoxing Luo Michael R.Hamblin Weifeng He Rui Yin 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:3
