Xueshuantong improves cerebral blood perfusion in elderly patients with lacunar infarction显示文摘A total of 64 patients with acute lacunar infarction were enrolled within 24 hours of onset. The patients received conventional therapy (antiplatelet drugs and hypolipidemic drugs) alone or conventional therapy plus 450 mg Xueshuantong once a day. The main ingredient of the Xueshuantong lyophilized powder used for injection was Panax notoginseng saponins. Assessments were made at admission and at discharge using the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, the Activity of Daily Living and the Mini-Mental State Examination. Additionally, the relative cerebral blood flow, relative cerebral blood volume and relative mean transit time in the region of interest were calculated within 24 hours after the onset of lacunar infarction, using dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance perfusion imaging technology. Patients underwent a follow-up MRI scan after 4 weeks of treatment. There was an improvement in the Activity of Daily Living scores and a greater reduction in the scores on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale in the treatment group than in the control group. However, the Mini-Mental State Examination scores showed no significant differences after 4 weeks of treatment. Compared with the control group, the relative cerebral blood flow at discharge had increased and showed a greater improvement in the treatment group. Furthermore, there was a reduction in the relative mean transit time at discharge and the value was lower in the treatment group than in the control group. The experimental findings indicate that Xueshuantong treatment improves neurological deficits in elderly patients with lacunar infarction, and the mechanism may be related to increased cerebral perfusion. | Qifeng Gui Yunmei Yang Shihong Ying Minming Zhang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,9: | 27
ZIKA virus isolated from mosquitoes:a field and laboratory investigation in China,2016显示文摘A field investigation of arboviruses was conducted in Dejiang, Guizhou Province in the summer of 2016. A total of 8,795 mosquitoes, belonging to four species of three genera, and 1,300 midges were collected. The mosquito samples were identified on site according to their morphology, and the pooled samples were ground and centrifuged in the laboratory. The supernatant was incubated with mosquito tissue culture cells(C6/36) and mammalian cells(BHK-21) for virus isolation. The results indicated that 40%(3,540/8,795) were Anopheles sinensis, 30%(2,700/8,795) were Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus, and 29%(2,530/8,795)were Armigeres subbalbeatus. Furthermore, a total of eight virus isolates were obtained, and genome sequencing revealed two Zika viruses(ZIKVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus, respectively; three Japanese encephalitis viruses(JEVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus; two Banna viruses(BAVs) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Anopheles sinensis, respectively; and one densovirus(DNV) isolated from Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus. The ZIKVs isolated from the Culex pipiens quinquefasciatus and Armigeres subbalbeatus mosquitoes represent the first ZIKV isolates in China's Mainland. This discovery presents new challenges for the prevention and control of ZIKV in China, and prompts international cooperation on this global issue. | Shihong Fu Song Song Hong Liu Yuanyuan Li Xiaolong Li Xiaoyan Gao Ziqian Xu Guoping Liu Dingming Wang Zhenzao Tian Jingzhu Zhou Ying He Wenwen Lei Huanyu Wang Bin Wang Xiaoqing Lu Guodong Liang | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,12: | 25
COVID-19 Outbreak Caused by Contaminated Packaging of Imported Cold-Chain Products—Liaoning Province,China,July 2020显示文摘Summary What is known about this topic?Few major outbreaks of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)have occurred in China after major nonpharmaceutical interventions and vaccines have been deployed and implemented. However, sporadic outbreaks that had high possibility to be linked to cold chain products were reported in several cities of China..What is added by this report? In July 2020,a COVID-19 outbreak occurred in Dalian,China. The investigations of this outbreak strongly suggested that the infection source was from COVID-19 virus-contaminated packaging of frozen seafood during inbound unloading personnel contact. What are the implications for public health practice?Virus contaminated paper surfaces could maintain infectivity for at least 17–24 days at-25℃.Exposure to COVID-19 virus-contaminated surfaces is a potential route for introducing the virus to a susceptible population.Countries with no domestic transmission of COVID-19 should consider introducing prevention strategies for both inbound travellers and imported goods.Several measures to prevent the introduction of the virus via cold-chain goods can be implemented. | Huilai Ma1 Jianqun Zhang Ji Wang Ying Qin Cao Chen Yang Song Liang Wang Jun Meng Lingling Mao Fengqin Li Ning Li Jian Cai Yong Zhang Dayan Wang Yunting Xia Hong Wang Shaofeng Jiang Xiang Zhao Peihua Niu Wenjie Tan Tao Ma Yecheng Yao Naiying Mao Zhen Zhu Tianjiao Ji Qian Yang Baoying Huang Li Zhao Jianxing Yu Li Bai Shuangli Zhu Dongyan Wang Yan Zhang Yingwei Sun Mingchun Luan Yanhai Wang Haibo Sun Shihong Yang Zhijian Bo Xiang Ren Zhongjie Li George Fu Gao Wei Yao Wenqing Yao Zijian Feng Wenbo Xu | 2021 | China CDC weekly2021,3,21: | 16
Genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis of Banna virus(genus Seadornavirus, family Reoviridae)isolated from Culicoides显示文摘In an investigation of blood-sucking insects and arboviruses, a virus(YN12243) was isolated from Culicoides samples collected in the Sino-Burmese border region of Yunnan Province, China. The virus caused cytopathic effect(CPE) in C6/36 cells and passaged stably. Polyacrylamide gel analysis showed that the genome of YN12243 was composed of 12 segments of double-stranded RNA(dsRNA), with a distribution pattern of 6-6. The nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the coding region(1.12 segments) were17,803 bp and 5,925 amino acids in length, respectively. The phylogenetic analysis of VP1 protein(RdRp) revealed that YN12243 belonged to genus Seadornavirus of family Reoviridae, and further analysis indicated that YN12243 belongs to the Banna virus(BAV) genotype A2. Additionally, YN12243 was located in the same evolutionary cluster as BAV strains isolated from different mosquito species, suggesting that the BAV isolated from Culicoides does not have species barriers. These results indicate that Culicoides can also be a vector for BAV. In view of the hematophagous habits of Culicoides on cattle, horses, deer, and other large animals, as well as the possibility of spreading and causing a variety of animal arboviral diseases, it is important to improve infection detection and monitor the BAV in large livestock. | Song Song Yuanyuan Li Shihong Fu Wenwen Lei Xiaofang Guo Yun Feng Xiaoyan Gao Xiaolong Li Zhonghua Yang Ziqian Xu Ying He Huanyu Wang Hongning Zhou Bin Wang Xiaoqing Lu Guodong Liang | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,12: | 8
Risk of gestational diabetes recurrence and the development of type 2 diabetes among women with a history of gestational diabetes and risk factors: a study among 18 clinical centers in China显示文摘Background:Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)brings health issues for both mothers and offspring, and GDM prevention is as important as GDM management. It was shown that a history of GDM was significantly associated with a higher maternal risk for GDM recurrence. The incidence of GDM recurrence was unclear because of the incidence of second-child was low before 2016 in China. We aim to investigate the prevalence of GDM recurrence and its associated high-risk factors which may be useful for the prediction of GDM recurrence in China. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted which enrolled participants who underwent regular prenatal examination and delivered twice in the same hospital of 18 research centers. All participants were enrolled from January 2018 to October 2018,where they delivered the second baby during this period.A total of 6204 women were enrolled in this study, and 1002 women with a history of GDM were analyzed further. All participants enrolled in the study had an oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)result at 24 to 28 weeks and were diagnosed as GDM in the first pregnancy according to the OGTT value(when any one of the following values is met or exceeded to the 75-g OGTT:0 h[fasting],≥5.10 mmol/L;1 h,≥10.00 mmol/L;and 2 h,≥8.50 mmol/L).The prevalence of GDM recurrence and development of type 2 diabetes mellitus were calculated, and its related risk factors were analyzed. Results:In 6204 participants, there are 1002 women(1002/6204,16.15%)with a history of GDM and 5202 women(5202/6204,83.85%)without a history of GDM.There are significant differences in age(32.43±4.03 years vs.33.00±3.34 years vs.32.19±3.37 years,P<0.001),pregnancy interval(4.06±1.44 years vs.3.52±1.43 years vs.3.38±1.35 years,P=0.004),prepregnancy body mass index(BMI)(27.40±4.62 kg/m^(2)vs.23.50±3.52 kg/m^(2)vs.22.55±3.47 kg/m^(2),P<0.001),history of delivered macrosomia(22.7%vs.11.0%vs.6.2%,P<0.001)among the development of diabetes mellitus(DM),recurrence of GDM,and normal women. Moreover,it seems so important in the degree of abnormal glucose metabolism in the first pregnancy to the recurrence of GDM and the development of DM.There are significant differences in OGTT levels of the first pregnancy such as area under the curve of OGTT value(18.31±1.90 mmol/L vs.16.27±1.93 mmol/L vs.15.55±1.92 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT fasting value(5.43±0.48 mmol/L vs.5.16±0.49 mmol/L vs.5.02±0.47 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT 1-hour value(10.93±1.34 mmol/L vs.9.69±1.53 mmol/L vs.9.15±1.58 mmol/L,P<0.001),OGTT 2-hour value(9.30±1.66 mmol/L vs.8.01±1.32 mmol/L vs.7.79±1.38 mmol/L,P<0.001),incidence of impaired fasting glucose(IFG)(fasting plasma glucose≥5.6 mmol/L)(31.3%vs.14.6%vs.8.8%,P<0.001),and incidence of two or more abnormal OGTT values(68.8%vs.39.7%vs.23.9%,P<0.001)among the three groups.Using multivariate analysis, the factors, such as age(1.07[1.02-1.12],P=0.006),prepregnancy BMI(1.07[1.02,1.12],P=0.003),and area under the curve of OGTT in the first pregnancy(1.14[1.02,1.26],P=0.02),have an effect on maternal GDM recurrence;the factors, such as age(1.28[1.01-1.61],P=0.04),pre-pregnancy BMI(1.26[1.04,1.53],P=0.02),and area under the curve of OGTT in the first pregnancy(1.65[1.04,2.62],P=0.03),have an effect on maternal DM developed further. Conclusions:The history of GDM was significantly associated with a higher maternal risk for GDM recurrence during follow-up after the first pregnancy. The associated risk factors for GDM recurrence or development of DM include age, high pre-pregnancy BMI,history of delivered macrosomia, the OGTT level in the first pregnancy, such as the high area under the curve of OGTT,IFG,and two or more abnormal OGTT values. To prevent GDM recurrence, women with a history of GDM should do the preconception counseling before preparing next pregnancy. | Yumei Wei Juan Juan Rina Su Geng Song Xu Chen Ruiqin Shan Ying Li Shihong Cui Shangrong Fan Ling Feng Zishan You Haixia Meng Yan Cai Cuilin Zhang Huixia Yang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,6: | 7
Pigsties near dwellings as a potential risk factor for the prevalence of Japanese encephalitis virus in adult in Shanxi,China显示文摘Background:The increasing trend of adult cases of Japanese encephalitis(JE)in China, particularly in northern China, has become an important public health issue. We conducted an epidemiological investigation in the south of Shanxi Province to examine the relationships between mosquitoes,Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV),and adult JE cases. Methods:Mosquito specimens were collected from the courtyards of farmers’households and pig farms in Shanxi Province.Mosquitoes were pooled, homogenized, and centrifuged.Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to detect mosquito-borne arbovirus genes in homogenates.Specimens positive for these genes were inoculated into the baby hamster kidney cell line(BHK-21)to isolate virus.Minimum infection rate was calculated and phylogenetic analyses were performed. Results:A total of 7943 mosquitoes belonging to six species in four genera were collected;Culex tritaeniorhynchus accounted for 73.08%(5805/7943),C.pipiens pallens for 24.75%(1966/7943),and the remaining 3%(104/7943)consisted of Anopheles sinensis,Aedes vexans,Ae.dorsalis, and Armigeres subalbatus.Sixteen pools were positive for JEV based on RT-PCR using JEV pre-membrane gene nested primers.Phylogenetic analyses showed that all JEVs belonged to genotype I;two pools were positive using Getah Virus(GETV)gene primers. In addition, one JEV strain(SXYC1523)was isolated from C.pipiens pallens specimens. These results indicate that the minimum infection rate of JEV in mosquito specimens collected from the courtyards of farmers’households with pigsties was 7.39/1000;the rate for pig farms was 2.68/1000;and the rate for farmers’courtyards without pigsties was zero. Conclusions:The high-prevalence regions of adult JE investigated in this study are still the natural epidemic focus of JEV.Having pigsties near dwellings is a potential risk factor contributing to the prevalence of adult JE.To prevent the occurrence of local adult JE cases,a recommendation was raised that, besides continuing to implement the Expanded Program on Immunization for children, the government should urge local farmers to cease raising pigs in their own courtyards to reduce the probability of infection with JEV. | Xiaojie Ren Shihong Fu Peifang Dai Huanyu Wang Yuanyuan Li Xiaolong Li Wenwen Lei Xiaoyan Gao Ying He Zhi Lv Jingxia Cheng Guiqin Wang Guodong Liang | 2017 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1: | 6
Post-marketing safety surveillance and reevaluation of Motherwort injection:A clinical study of 10094 cases显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the safety profiles of Motherwort injection(MI).METHODS:A multi-center,prospective and drugderived hospital intensive monitoring method was conducted to assess the safety of MI in real world applications. This study was based on a very large population after the injection was approved and marketed in China. All patients using the injection in participating hospitals were monitored to determine the incidence, pattern, severity and outcome of associated adverse events.RESULTS:The post-marketing surveillance was performed in 10 094 female patients from April to December,2015.The incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADRs) was 0.79‰(8/10 094).Among the 8 patients, the reported adverse events mainly included systemic abnormalities, such as fever, chills and eyelid edema;skin and appendages disorders, such as pruritus and rash;gastrointestinal disorders, such as nausea, abdominal distension and pain;heart rate and rhythm disorders, such as palpitation and increased heart rate. All of these ADRs were mild in severity.CONCLUSION:In this study the ADRs incidence rate of MI is very low, which supports that it is generally safe for use in obstetric and gynecological diseases. However, the total number of 8 ADRs recorded over a relatively short time span seems limited, and the low number of reports could not represent an absolute guarantee of safety. | Cao Shan Zhang Wenhao Zhao Ziwei Heng Mingli Bu Huaien Wang Hongwu Liu Xinghui Wang Zhong Cai Yan Ma Yuyan Cui Shihong Deng Jihong Ding Guifeng Ding Yajuan Dong Linhong Duan Zhentao Fan Ling Fan Yang Fu Fen He Jing Ji Shuying Jin Lin Li Hong Li Hongying Liao Tao Lu Wei Luo Xiucui Lü Zhihui Ma Fengchun Ma Dafeng Shi Tianyun Sun Juying Sun Xiaotong Teng Hong Wang Jinhua Wang Ruihua Wang Ying Wang Zhengling Xi Jie Xu Minjuan Xu Zhihong Yan Qian Yang Cuirong Yang Yimei Yin Jie Yu Jinhua Yuan Wenjun Zhang Guanli Zhang Meihua Zhao Renfeng Zhong Yonghong Zhou Jian | 2018 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4: | 4
Re-isolation of Wuxiang Virus from Wild Sandflies Collected from Yangquan County, China显示文摘We previously isolated a new species of the genus Phlebovirus from wild sandflies collected from Wuxiang County in central China, which named the Wuxiang virus(WUXV).In this study,we re-isolated the WUXV from wild sandflies collected from two villages in Yangquan County,China in 2019.Four virus isolates that caused cytopathic effects in BHK-21 cells were successfully isolated from sandfly specimens collected from chicken pens and sheep pens.Phylogenetic analyses of the L,M and S gene segments of the viruses revealed that the four virus strains represented the previously isolated WUXV.The minimum infection rate(MIR)of the virus isolated from the sheep pen was 3.21,and the MIR of the virus isolated from the chicken pen was 3.45.The positive rates of Wuxiang virus neutralizing antibodies in serum samples of local healthy people and domestic chickens were 8.7%(4/46)and 100%(4/4),respectively,suggesting that Wuxiang virus can infect human and animal. In view of the fact that Wuxiang virus is infectious to humans and animals and has a relatively wide geographical distribution in China,it is of great public health significance to strengthen the investigation and study on the infection status of Wuxiang virus in humans and animals. | Qinyan Wang Shihong Fu Jingxia Cheng Xiuyan Xu Jing Wang Bin Wu Xiaodong Tian Yan Li Ying He Fan Li Kai Nie Songtao Xu Bin Wang Huanyu Wang Xiaoqing Lu Guodong Liang | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 4

A novel synthetic small molecule YF-452 inhibits tumor growth through antiangiogenesis by suppressing VEGF receptor 2 signaling显示文摘Tumor angiogenesis is characterized by abnormal vessel morphology, endowing tumor with highly hypoxia and unresponsive toward treatment. To date, mounting angiogenic factors have been discovered as therapeutic targets in antiangiogenic drug development. Among them, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) inhibitors exerts potent antiangiogenic activity in tumor therapy. Therefore, it may provide a valid strategy for cancer treatment through targeting the tumor angiogenesis via VEGFR2 pathway. In this study, we established a high-profile compounds library and certificated a novel compound named N-(N-pyrrolidylacetyl)-9-(4-bromobenzyl)-1,3,4,9-tetrahydro-β-carboline (YF-452), which remarkably inhibited the migration, invasion and tube-like structure formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with little toxicity invitro. Rat thoracic aorta ring assay indicated that YF-452 significantly blocked the formation of microvascular exvivo. In addition, YF-452 inhibited angiogenesis in chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) and mouse corneal micropocket assays. Moreover, YF-452 remarkably suppressed tumor growth in xenografts mice model. Furthermore, investigation of molecular mechanism revealed that YF-452 inhibited VEGF-induced phosphorylation of VEGFR2 kinase and the downstream protein kinases including extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK), focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and Src. These results indicate that YF-452 inhibits angiogenesis and may be a potential antiangiogenic drug candidate for cancer therapy. | Yongrui Liu Yuan He Feifei Yang Xiaonan Cong Jinhua Wang Shihong Peng Dan Gao Weifang Wang Liping Lan Xuexiang Ying Mingyao Liu Yihua Chen Zhengfang Yi | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,2: | 2
An adaptive offloading framework for Android applications in mobile edge computing显示文摘Mobile edge computing(MEC) provides a fresh opportunity to significantly reduce the latency and battery energy consumption of mobile applications. It does so by enabling the offloading of parts of the applications on mobile edges, which are located in close proximity to the mobile devices. Owing to the geographical distribution of mobile edges and the mobility of mobile devices, the runtime environment of MEC is highly complex and dynamic. As a result, it is challenging for application developers to support computation offloading in MEC compared with the traditional approach in mobile cloud computing, where applications use only the cloud for offloading. On the one hand, developers have to make the offloading adaptive to the changing environment, where the offloading should dynamically occur among available computation nodes. On the other hand, developers have to effectively determine the offloading scheme each time the environment changes. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an adaptive framework that supports mobile applications with offloading capabilities in MEC. First, based on our previous study(DPartner), a new design pattern is proposed to enable an application to be dynamically offloaded among mobile devices, mobile edges, and the cloud. Second, an estimation model is designed to automatically determine the offloading scheme. In this model, different parts of the application may be executed on different computation nodes. Finally, an adaptive offloading framework is implemented to support the design pattern and the estimation model. We evaluate our framework on two real-world applications. The results demonstrate that our approach can aid in reducing the response time by 8%–50% and energy consumption by 9%–51% for computation-intensive applications. | Xing CHEN Shihong CHEN Yun MA Bichun LIU Ying ZHANG Gang HUANG | 2019 | Science China(Information Sciences)2019,62,8: | 1

Trees species’ dispersal mode and habitat heterogeneity shape negative density dependence in a temperate forest显示文摘Conspecific negative density dependence(CNDD)is a potentially important mechanism in maintaining species diversity. While previous evidence showed habitat heterogeneity and species’dispersal modes affect the strength of CNDD at early life stages of trees(e.g.,seedlings),it remains unclear how they affect the strength of CNDD at later life stages. We examined the degree of spatial aggregation between saplings and trees for species dispersed by wind and gravity in four topographic habitats within a 25-ha temperate forest dynamic plot in the Qinling Mountains of central China. We used the replicated spatial point pattern(RSPP)analysis and bivariate paircorrelation function(PCF)to detect the spatial distribution of saplings around trees at two scales,15 and 50 m,respectively.Although the signal was not apparent across the whole study region(or 25-ha),it is distinct on isolated areas with specific characteristics, suggesting that these characteristics could be important factors in CNDD.Further,we found that the gravity-dispersed tree species experienced CNDD across habitats, while for wind-dispersed species CNDD was found in gully, terrace and low-ridge habitats. Our study suggests that neglecting the habitat heterogeneity and dispersal mode can distort the signal of CNDD and community assembly in temperate forests. | Lishunan Yang Daniel J.Johnson Zhichun Yang Xiaochao Yang Qiulong Yin Ying Luo Zhanqing Hao Shihong Jia | 2023 | Forest Ecosystems2023,10,5: | 0
