| 2 | Evaluating effective swath width and droplet distribution of aerial spraying systems on M-18B and Thrush 510G airplanes显示文摘Aerial spraying plays an important role in promoting agricultural production and protecting the biological environment due to its flexibility,high effectiveness,and large operational area per unit of time.In order to evaluate the performance parameters of the spraying systems on two fixed wing airplanes M-18B and Thrush 510G,the effective swath width and uniformity of droplet deposition under headwind flight were tested while the planes operated at the altitudes of 5 m and 4 m.The results showed that although wind velocities varied from 0.9 m/s to 4.6 m/s,and the directions of the atomizer switched upward and downward in eight flights,the effective swath widths were kept approximately at 27 m and 15 m for the M-18B and Thrush 510G,respectively,and the latter was more stable.In addition,through analyzing the coefficients of variation(CVs)of droplet distribution,it was found that the CVs of the M-18B were 39.57%,33.54%,47.95%,and 59.04% at wind velocities of 0.9,1.1,1.4 and 4.6 m/s,respectively,gradually enhancing with the increasing of wind speed;the CVs of Thrush 510G were 79.12%,46.19%,14.90%,and 48.69% at wind velocities of 1.3,2.3,3.0 and 3.4 m/s,respectively,which displayed the irregularity maybe due to change of instantaneous wind direction.Moreover,in terms of the CVs and features of droplet distribution uniformity for both airplanes in the spray swath,choosing smaller CV(20%-45%)as the standard of estimation,it was found that the Thrush 510G had a better uniform droplet distribution than the M-18B.The results provide a research foundation for promoting the development of aerial spraying in China. | Zhang Dongyan Chen Liping Zhang Ruirui Xu Gang Lan Yubin Wesley Clint Hoffmann Wang Xiu Xu Min | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2: | 18 |
| 3 | Lycorine inhibits breast cancer growth and metastasis via inducing apoptosis and blocking Src/FAK-involved pathway显示文摘Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer type worldwide among women and more than 90% of patients die from tumor metastasis. Lycorine, a natural alkaloid, has been widely reported possessing potential efficacy against cancer proliferation and metastasis. In our study, the anti-tumor potency on breast cancer was evaluated in vitro and in vivo for the first time. Our results indicated that lycorine inhibited breast cancer cells growth, migration and invasion as well as induced their apoptosis.In in vivo study, lycorine not only suppressed breast tumor growth in xenograft models and inhibited breast tumor metastasis in MDA-MB-231 tail vein model. More importantly, we found lycorine had less toxicity than first-line chemotherapy drug paclitaxel at the same effective dose in vivo. Furthermore, on mechanism, lycorine inhibited tumor cell migration and invasion via blocking the Src/FAK(focal adhesion kinase)-involved pathway. | 4 | Modelling operation parameters of UAV on spray effects at different growth stages of corns显示文摘Currently,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)were widely applied to spray for pest and disease control.However,spray effect can be further improved by setting operation parameters more reasonably and scientifically.Therefore,this study attempts to derive the relationship between operation parameters and spray effect.Different growth stages were distinguished by various corn heights.A six-rotor UAV was operated at different heights and velocities to test pesticides spray effects for corns at different growth stages.Different plant canopy coverage rate and penetrating coefficients were obtained,according to which,the effects on droplet deposition rate caused by different UAVs’operation parameters were analyzed.Droplet penetrating coefficients were applied as indexes to evaluate and select UAVs operation parameters for corns at different growth stages respectively.Mathematical models of droplet penetrating coefficients with UAVs operation parameters were established for corns at all growth stages.The determination coefficients(R2)of all models were greater than 0.90 and average relative errors were within 20%,which asserted high forecasting accuracy of droplet penetrating rate.With the help of the models,parameters like operating height away from the bottom of corns and UAVs velocities were further analyzed,which guided the optimization of parameter settings and selection of spray methods for corns at different growth stages. | Zheng Yongjun Yang Shenghui Zhao Chunjiang Chen Liping Yubin Lan Tan Yu | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,3: | 13 |
| 5 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 7 | NEDD9 promotes cancer stemness by recruiting myeloid-derived suppressor cells via CXCL8 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)has high morbidity and mortality rates worldwide.Cancer stem cells(CSCs)may cause tumor initiation,metastasis,and recurrence and are also responsible for chemotherapy and radiotherapy failures.Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),in contrast,are known to be involved in mediating immunosuppression.Here,we aimed to investigate the mechanisms of interaction of CSCs and MDSCs in the tumor microenvironment.Methods:ESCC tissues and cell lines were evaluated.Neural precursor cell expressed,developmentally downregulated 9(NEDD9)was knocked down and overexpressed by lentiviral transfection.Quantitative PCR,Western blot,immunohistochemistry,cell invasion,flow cytometry,cell sorting,multiplex chemokine profiling,and tumor growth analyses were performed.Results:Microarray analysis revealed 10 upregulated genes in esophageal CSCs.Only NEDD9 was upregulated in CSCs using the sphere-forming method.NEDD9 expression was correlated with tumor invasion(P=0.0218),differentiation(P=0.0153),and poor prognosis(P=0.0373).Additionally,NEDD9 was required to maintain the stem-like phenotype.Screening of chemokine expression in ESCC cells with NEDD9 overexpression and knockdown showed that NEDD9 regulated C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8(CXCL8)expression via the ERK pathway.CXCL8 mediated the recruitment of MDSCs induced by NEDD9 in vitro and in vivo.MDSCs promoted the stemness of ESCC cells through NEDD9 via the Notch pathway.Conclusions:As a marker of ESCC,NEDD9 maintained the stemness of ESCC cells and regulated CXCL8 through the ERK pathway to recruit MDSCs into the tumor,suggesting NEDD9 as a therapeutic target and novel prognostic marker for ESCC. | Dongli Yue Shasha Liu Tengfei Zhang Yong Wang Guohui Qin Xinfeng Chen Huanyu Zhang Dong Wang Lan Huang Feng Wang Liping Wang Song Zhao Yi Zhang | 2021 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,3: | 4 |

| 13 | First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). | 15 | A novel synthetic small molecule YF-452 inhibits tumor growth through antiangiogenesis by suppressing VEGF receptor 2 signaling显示文摘Tumor angiogenesis is characterized by abnormal vessel morphology, endowing tumor with highly hypoxia and unresponsive toward treatment. To date, mounting angiogenic factors have been discovered as therapeutic targets in antiangiogenic drug development. Among them, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) inhibitors exerts potent antiangiogenic activity in tumor therapy. Therefore, it may provide a valid strategy for cancer treatment through targeting the tumor angiogenesis via VEGFR2 pathway. In this study, we established a high-profile compounds library and certificated a novel compound named N-(N-pyrrolidylacetyl)-9-(4-bromobenzyl)-1,3,4,9-tetrahydro-β-carboline (YF-452), which remarkably inhibited the migration, invasion and tube-like structure formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with little toxicity invitro. Rat thoracic aorta ring assay indicated that YF-452 significantly blocked the formation of microvascular exvivo. In addition, YF-452 inhibited angiogenesis in chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) and mouse corneal micropocket assays. Moreover, YF-452 remarkably suppressed tumor growth in xenografts mice model. Furthermore, investigation of molecular mechanism revealed that YF-452 inhibited VEGF-induced phosphorylation of VEGFR2 kinase and the downstream protein kinases including extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK), focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and Src. | 20 | Layered-structure N-doped expanded-graphite/boron nitride composites towards high performance of microwave absorption显示文摘High-efficiency microwave absorbers with broadband absorption are strongly desired for electromag-netic protection.Herein,we successfully synthesized a hybrid microwave absorbing material with two-dimensional layered structure,which consisted of expanded graphite(EG)and boron nitride(BN).The introduction of BN is to regulate the conductivity of EG and also to improve the thermal stability of the composite material.The ultrathin BN nano-sheets were uniformly wrapped on the EG sheets via chemi-cal vapor deposition.Attributed to the dielectric loss and conductive loss,the as-prepared hybrid material exhibited high performance for microwave absorption.The effective absorbing bandwidth(reflection loss value<-10 dB)was achieved up to 9.37 GHz with the thickness of 2.4 mm in the frequency range of 5.75-6.98 GHz and 9.86-18 GHz.And the minimum reflection loss was-51.58 dB at the thickness of 3 mm.The excellent performance of microwave absorption was attributed to the dielectric loss,interfacial polarization loss and optimized impedance matching.Moreover,compared to pure EG,the thermal de-composition temperature of EG/BN composite materials had increased by about 100℃which was up to 714℃.Taking the advantages of high thermal stability of BN as well as the fine microwave absorbability of EG,the EG/BN composites would be applied in high-temperature microwave absorbing fields. | Zhuguang Nie Yang Feng Qing Zhu Ying Xia Liping Luo Lan Ma Jie Su Xingman Hu Rumin Wang Shuhua Qi | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,18: | 1 |
