12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 3The Origin and Tectonic Significance of the Volcanic Rocks of the Yeba Formation in the Gangdese Magmatic Belt, South Tibet显示文摘Zircon U-Pb geochronology, Hf isotope and whole-rock geochemistry were performed on the tuffs of the Yeba Formation in the Gangdese magmatic belt, South Tibet. The results are used to detail the age, source nature and tectonic processes that led to the formation of the Gangdese belt. Dating results indicate that the rhyolitic-andesitic tuffs were formed at 174–170 Ma. Positive and variable zircon ε_(Hf)(t) values of the rhyolitic tuffs reveal that the source was dominated by juvenile material, however, experienced crustal contamination. The basaltic tuffs have low HREEs, high contents of compatible elements(V and Cr) and no Eu anomaly. In contrast, the rhyolitic-andesitic tuffs show low compatible trace elements, depletion in Eu but enrichment in incompatible elements(Rb, Zr and Hf). According to the discrimination diagrams of P_2O_5-SiO_2 and Th-Rb, the rhyolitic-andesitic tuffs show a close affinity to Ⅰ-type granitoids. Moreover, these tuffs are marked by significant depletion in Nb, Ta and Ti, plotted in calc-alkaline field, and with the andesitic-rhyolitic tuffs falling into an active continental margin setting. 4Water Cooperation Priorities in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin Based on Cooperative Events Since the Mekong River Commission Establishment显示文摘The Lancang-Mekong River has attracted much attention from researchers, but the cooperation on water issues in this river basin has been limited, even after the establishment of the Mekong River Commission(MRC). Cooperation on water resources has been determined as one of the key priority areas in the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism, but there are no details of targets. In order to establish the priorities of water cooperation under the mechanism, we adopted nine categories to classify the objectives of 87 water cooperation events based on the ‘Lancang-Mekong Water Cooperative Events Database' from 1995 to 2015. Based on the occurrence of cooperative events, cooperative objectives, cooperative scales, and approaches to cooperation, we conducted statistical, correlation, and text analyses. Our analyses indicated the following results: under the impact of economic conditions inside and outside the river basin, full cooperation appeared more difficult than bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Each of the partners adopted different preferences for cooperation targets. Cooperation with more definite objectives was easier to establish than cooperation with broader and more complex objectives. The potential objectives for water cooperation were navigation, hydropower, joint management, data sharing, flood control and water use. Because hydropower development is controversial, and because water cooperation is avoided by most existing regional cooperation mechanisms due to its complexity, we suggest the following priority areas for water cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin. 1) Navigation and flood control/drought relief are attractive objectives for all the riparian countries across the whole watershed. 2) Data sharing should be a priority for cooperation in the watershed due to its laying the foundation for the equitable and reasonable utilization of transboundary waters. 3) Hydropower is an objective best implemented mainly through bilateral cooperation, and on tributaries.FENG Yan WANG Wenling SUMAN Daniel YU Shiwei HE Daming 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,1:8
5Effect of Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction from Traditional Chinese Medicine on intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of decoction prepared with Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating medicinals from Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) on the intestinal mucosal permeability in rats with ulcerative colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS).METHODS: Totally 55 male Wistar rats(body weight of 170-190 g) were randomly divided into the blank group(n = 10) and the model duplication group(n = 45). The blank group was not intervened, while the other was modeled with 5% dextran sulfate sodium by gavaging in a dosage of4 m L per day to induce ulcerative colitis, a total of7 days. Then, the model rats were divided into model blank group, mesalazine group and TCM group,and each group was consisted of 15 rats. They were given retention enema 10 min with normal saline,mesalazine enema(0.036 g/m L), and Yang-activating and stasis-eliminating decoction [0.54 g/m L of a decoction boiled by Puhuang(Pollen Typhae), Xiebai(Bulbus Allii Macrostemonis) and Wulingzhi(Faeces Trogopteri)] for 10 days respectively. Afterwards,all of the rats were evaluated by disease activity index(DAI), histological changes of distal colon, expression of occludin protein and ultrastructure of intestinal epithelial cells. Furthermore, ratio of lactulose to mannitol(L/M) discharged in urine was evaluated.RESULTS: Comparing the results between TCM and model control groups, scores of DAI and histological lesions decreased significantly(P = 0.000 <0.01), ultrastructures of intestinal epithelial cells and tight junctions were more complete. The expression of occludin protein(P = 0.001 < 0.01) increased while the L/M value decreased significantly(P = 0.000 < 0.01) in TCM group. 6The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 8Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 9A proposed direct measurement of cross section at Gamow window for key reaction 19F(p,α) 16O in Asymptotic Giant Branch stars with a planned accelerator in CJPL显示文摘In 2014, the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) approved the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics laboratory(JUNA) project, which aims at direct cross-section measurements of four key stellar nuclear reactions right down to the Gamow windows. In order to solve the observed fluorine overabundances in Asymptotic Giant Branch(AGB) stars, measuring the key ^(19)F( p,α)^(16)O reaction at effective burning energies(i.e., at Gamow window) is established as one of the scientific research sub-projects. 10Selective laser melting of dense and crack-free AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1) eutectic high entropy alloy: Synergizing strength and ductility显示文摘Additively manufactured high-entropy alloys generally suffer from low strength and/or poor ductility.In this work,by leveraging the good castability of eutectic high entropy alloys and high cooling rate of selective laser melting(SLM),we report a nearly fully dense and crack-free as-SLM AlCoCrFeNi_(2.1) eutectic high entropy alloy with an exceptional strength-ductility synergy,showing an ultrahigh yield strength of 982.1±35.2 MPa and an ultimate tensile strength of 1322.8±54.9 MPa together with an elongation to fracture of 12.3±0.5%.Such strength-ductility enhancement is owing to the heterogeneous eutectic microstructure consisting of the columnar,equiaxed,and“L-shape”cells with much refined sizes down to nanoscales.The morphology of cells in the transition zone is related to the misorientation between the growth direction of adjacent layers.This heterogeneous eutectic microstructure is the result of the graingrowth behavior dominated by the mechanisms of the epitaxial growth and growth of heterogeneous nuclei in SLM.Our current results provide a new methodology for the future design of ultrahigh-strength and ductile SLM-fabricated metallic materials including HEAs,and other printable alloys for various structural applications.Lin He Shiwei Wu Anping Dong Haibin Tang Dafan Du Guoliang Zhu Baode Sun Wentao Yan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,22:2
112-14 Investigation of the Thermonuclear 18Ne(α, p)21Na Reaction Rate via Resonant Elastic Scattering of 21Na + p显示文摘A nuclear astrophysics experiment was performed at CRIB (CNS low-energy Radioactive-Ion Beam separator)on Mar. 2011. The goal of this experiment is to study the reaction rate of 18Ne(,p)21Na reaction, which mightbe a key breakout reaction from the hot CNO cycle to rp-process in X-ray burst and nova. Yet its reaction rate ispoorly known.Explosive hydrogen burning is thought to be the main source of energy generation and a source of nucleosynthesisin X-ray burst and nova[1;2]. For example, XRBs are characterized by a sudden increase of X-ray emission withinonly a few seconds to a total energy output of about 1040 ergs, which is observed to repeat with some regularity.The recurrence time for single bursts can range from hours to days at the typical temperature of 0.4~2 GK. Thebursts have been interpreted as being generated by thermonuclear runaway on the surface of a neutron star thataccretes H- and He-rich material from a less evolved companion star in a close binary system. 12Increased Expression of Colonic Mucosal Melatonin in Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome Correlated with Gut Dysbiosis显示文摘Dysregulation of the gut microbiota/gut hormone axis contributes to the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Melatonin plays a beneficial role in gut motility and immunity.However,altered expression of local mucosal melatonin in IBS and its relationship with the gut microbiota remain unclear.Therefore,we aimed to detect the colonic melatonin levels and microbiota profiles in patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS(IBS-D)and explore their relationship in germ-free(GF)rats and BON-1 cells.Thirty-two IBS-D patients and twenty-eight healthy controls(HCs)were recruited.Fecal specimens from IBS-D patients and HCs were separately transplanted into GF rats by gavage.The levels of colon mucosal melatonin were assessed by immunohistochemical methods,and fecal microbiota communities were analyzed using 16S rDNA sequencing.The effect of butyrate on melatonin synthesis in BON-1 cells was evaluated by ELISA.Melatonin levels were significantly increased and negatively correlated with visceral hypersensitivity in IBS-D patients.GF rats inoculated with fecal microbiota from IBS-D patients had high colonic melatonin levels.Butyrate-producing Clostridium cluster XIVa species,such as Roseburia species and Lachnospira species,were positively related to colonic mucosal melatonin expression.Butyrate significantly increased melatonin secretion in BON-1 cells.Increased melatonin expression may be an adaptive protective mechanism in the development of IBS-D.Moreover,some Clostridium cluster XIVa species could increase melatonin expression via butyrate production.Modulation of the gut hormone/gut microbiota axis offers a promising target of interest for IBS in the future.Ben Wang Shiwei Zhu Zuojing Liu Hui Wei Lu Zhang Meibo He Fei Pei Jindong Zhang Qinghua Sun Liping Duan 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6:2
13The associated killing of hepatoma cells using multilayer drug-loaded mats combined with fast neutron therapy显示文摘Chemotherapeutic and radiation therapy have emerged as two most important treatment strategies to treat cancer in clinical practice;however,to improve anticancer efficacy,combination chemotherapy still remains challenge.Dichloroacetate(DCA)could produce significant cytotoxic effects in certain tumor cells through its distinct mechanism.Radiation therapy with fast neutrons(FNT)has high relative biolgical effectiveness compared to other radiotherapeutics.Herein,we reported the combination chemotherapy with FNT for effective tumor growth inhibition with the assistance of a multilayered nanofiber loading DCA and DCA derivatives.We first synthesized a biodegradable polylysine to condense DCA with negative charge,or to conjugate DCA by condensing synthesis,to obtain Ion-DCA and Co-DCA,respectively.DCA,Ion-DCA or Co-DCA was then loaded into fibers to form multilayer drug-loaded mats.Upon adhesion on the surface of subcutaneous and orthotopic liver tumors,the multilayer drug-loaded mats realized a controllable release of DCA,which reversed the Warburg effect and inhibited cancer cell proliferation.Meantime,irradiation of fast neutrons could seriously damage DNA structure.Combination of the controllable release of DCA and FNT resulted in synergistic cell apoptosis in vitro,and the tumor inhibition in vivo.This study thus provides a new approach to integrate chemotherapy and FNT with the assistance of biocompatible nanofiber for synergistic tumor therapy.Yanxin Qi Shiwei Jing Shasha He Hejian Xiong Guohua Yang Yubin Huang Ningyi Jin 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:2

15Plowing-Extrusion Processes and Performance of Functional Surface Structures of Copper Current Collectors for Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Most copper current collectors for commercial lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are smooth copper foils,which cannot form a stable and effective combination with electrode slurry.They are likely to deform or fall off after long-term operation,resulting in a sharp decline in battery performance.What is worse is that this condition inevitably causes internal short circuits and thus brings about security risks.In this study,a process route of fabricating the functional surface structures on the surface of a copper collector for LIBs by twice-crisscross micro-plowing(TCMP)is proposed,which provides a new idea and an efficient method to solve the above problems from the perspective of manufacturing.The finite element simulation of TCMP combined with the cutting force test and morphological characterization is conducted to verify the forming mechanism of the surface structures on a copper sheet and its relationship with the processing parameters.The influence of several key processing parameters on the surface characteristics of the copper sheet is comprehensively explored.A series of functions is tested to obtain the optimal parameters for performance improvement of the current collector.Results show that the structured copper sheet with the cutting distance of 250μm,cutting depth of 80μm,and cutting crossing angle of 90°enables the best surface features of the current collector;the contact angle reaches 0°,the slurry retention rate is up to 89.2%,and the friction coefficient reaches 0.074.The battery using the as-prepared structured copper sheet as the current collector produces a specific capacity of 318.6 mAh/g after 50 cycles at a current density of 0.2 C,which is 132.7%higher than the one based on a smooth surface.The capacity reversibility of the sample with the new current collector is much better than that of the traditional samples,yielding a lower impedance.Chun Wang Wei Yuan Yu Chen Bote Zhao Yong Tang Shiwei Zhang Xinrui Ding Jun He Songmao Chen Baoyou Pan Mingyue Chen 2022Nanomanufacturing and Metrology2022,5,4:2
16Laser-driven plasma collider for nuclear studies显示文摘A novel method of initiating nuclear fusion reactions in a full plasma environment was suggested, and a proof-of-concept experiment was carried out with the D t D ! n t3 He reaction. In this new approach, two plasma jets generated by high-intensity lasers collide headon-head. The center-of-mass energy of the nuclei increases accordingly, and therefore, reaction products can be significantly enhanced, especially in the sub-Coulomb barrier ranges. As a result of the fusion reaction, up to 7:6 105 neutrons had been observed. 18Upregulation of GLT25D1 in Hepatic Stellate Cells Promotes Liver Fibrosis via the TGF-β1/SMAD3 Pathway In Vivo and In vitro显示文摘Background and Aims:Collagenβ(1-O)galactosyltransferase 25 domain 1(GLT25D1)is associated with collagen production and glycosylation,and its knockout in mice results in embryonic death.However,its role in liver fibrosis remains elusive,particularly in hepatic stellate cells(HSCs),the primary collagen-producing cells associated with liver fibrogenesis.Herein,we aimed to elucidate the role of GLT25D1 in HSCs.Methods:Bile duct ligation(BDL)-induced mouse liver fibrosis models,primary mouse HSCs(mHSCs),and transforming growth factor beta 1(TGF-β1)-stimulated LX-2 human hepatic stellate cells were used in in vivo and in vitro studies.Stable LX-2 cell lines with either GLT25D1 overexpression or knockdown were established using lentiviral transfection.RNA-seq was performed to investigate the genomic differences.HPLCMS/MS were used to identify glycosylation sites.Scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)and second-harmonic generation/two-photon excited fluorescence(SHG/TPEF)were used to image collagen fibril morphology.Results:GLT25D1 expression was upregulated in nonparenchymal cells in human cirrhotic liver tissues.Meanwhile,its knockdown attenuated collagen deposition in BDL-induced mouse liver fibrosis and inhibited mHSC activation.GLT25D1 was overexpressed in activated versus quiescence LX-2 cells and regulated in vitro LX-2 cell activation,including proliferation,contraction,and migration.GLT25D1 also significantly increased liver fibrogenic gene and protein expression.GLT25D1 upregulation promoted HSC activation and enhanced collagen expression through the TGF-β1/SMAD signaling pathway.Mass spectrometry showed that GLT25D1 regulated the glycosylation of collagen in HSCs,affecting the diameter of collagen fibers.Conclusions:Collectively,the upregulation of GLT25D1 in HSCs promoted the progression of liver fibrosis by affecting HSCs activation and collagen stability.Shiwei Wang Lingling He Fan Xiao Meixin Gao Herui Wei Junru Yang Yang Shu Fuyang Zhang Xiaohui Ye Ping Li Xiaohua Hao Xingang Zhou Hongshan Wei 2023Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1:1

20Linking microbial carbon pump capacity and efficacy to soil organic carbon storage and stability under heavy metal pollution显示文摘Heavy metal pollution can lead to a great loss of soil organic carbon(SOC).However,the microbial mechanisms that link heavy metal pollution to SOC remain poorly understood.Here,we investigated five apple-orchard soils at different distances from a Pb-Zn smelter.After assessing the heavy metal pollution level based on Grade Ⅱ of the national soil environmental quality standard(China),we found SOC stocks and microbial carbon pump(MCP)capacity(i.e.,microbial residue carbon)under medium and heavy pollution levels were significantly lower than those under safe,cordon and light pollution levels.The structural equation model showed causality in the SOC variations linked to pollution level through MCP capacity,which could contribute 77.8% of the variance in SOC storage.This verified MCP capacity can serve as a key parameter for evaluation of SOC storage under heavy metal pollution.Soil MCP efficacy,i.e.,the proportion of microbial residue carbon to SOC,also decreased under medium and heavy pollution.This suggested that,with a heavier pollution level,there was a higher rate of reduction of microbial residue carbon in soil than the rate of reduction of SOC.As MCP efficacy can be a useful assessment of SOC stability,the significantly positive relationship between MCP efficacy and clay content in correlation analysis implied that lower MCP efficacy was correlated with SOC stability under the heavier pollution level.Our study provides valuable insights to identify the mechanisms of microbially mediated C transformation processes that are influenced by heavy metal pollution in agroecosystems.Xiao Liu Xia Xu Tian Ma Shiwei Zhou Xiaoli Bi Hongbo He Xudong Zhang Weihuan Li 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,2:1
