1Jiaweisinisan facilitates neurogenesis in the hippocampus after stress damage显示文摘The traditional Chinese medicine Jiaweisinisan has antidepressant effects, and can inhibit hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal gland axis hyperactivity in stress-induced depression. In this study, rat hippocampal neural precursor cells were cultured in serum-free medium in vitro and a stress damage model was established with 120 μM corticosterone. Cells were treated with 10% (v/v) Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and the corticosterone antagonist RU38486. Results of the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-3,5-di-phenytetrazoliumromide assay showed that both Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and RU38486 promoted the proliferation of neural precursor cells after corticosterone exposure. Immunofluorescence detection showed that after Jiaweisinisan drug-containing serum and RU38486 treatment, the 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine/terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling ratio in hippocampal neural precursor cells significantly increased, and the apoptotic rates of glial cells reduced, and neuron-like cell differentiation from neural precursor cells significantly increased. 3Sandwich-structured nanocomposites of N-doped graphene and nearly monodisperse Fe304 nanoparticles as high-performance Li-ion battery anodes显示文摘Iron oxides have attracted considerable interest as abundant materials forhigh-capacity Li-ion battery anodes. However, their fast capacity fading owingto poorly controlled reversibility of the conversion reactions greatly hinderstheir application. Here, a sandwich-structured nanocomposite of N-dopedgraphene and nearly monodisperse Fe304 nanoparticles were developed ashigh-performance Li-ion battery anode. N-doped graphene serves as a conductingframework for the self-assembled structure and controls Fe304 nucleationthrough the interaction of N dopants, surfactant molecules, and iron precursors.Fe304 nanoparticles were well dispersed with a uniform diameter of -15 nm.The unique sandwich structure enables good electron conductivity and Li-ionaccessibility and accommodates a large volume change. 8Winter habitat use of snow leopards in Tomur National Nature Reserve of Xinjiang,Northwest China显示文摘Snow leopards are one of the least known large cats,the population of which has dramatically decreased.Their habitat loss was considered the main reason for the decline during the last decade,but their habitat preferences are still not well known.In this paper,we studied the winter habitat preferences of snow leopards in the Tomur National Nature Reserve(TNNR)in Northwest China during 2004–2005.We used sign surveys and transects to study the winter habitat selection of snow leopards.The results indicated that snow leopards showed a preference for habitat variabilities in slope aspect,vegetation cover,dominant topographical features,landform ruggedness and grazing status.We found that prey availability and dominant topographical features were the most important factors that determined the winter habitat selection of snow leopards.Our results supported the idea that the habitat preferences of snow leopards are a tradeoff between suitable habitat features and avoidance of potential human interactions.Feng XU Ming MA WeiKang YANG David BLANK YiQun WU Thomas MCCARTHY Bariusha MUNKHTSOG 2012Journal of Arid Land2012,4,2:1

11Rare-Earth Metal Alkyl Complexes with 3-Arylamido-Functionalized Indolyl Ligands:Synthesis,Characterization and Reactivity显示文摘A series of dinuclear rare-earth metal alkyl complexes{[μ-η^2:η^1:η^1-3-(LNCH)(CH2SiMe3)Ind]RE-(CH2SiMe3)(THF)}2(L^1=2-tBuC6H4,RE=Y,Gd,Dy,Er,Yb;L^2=2,4,6-Me3C6H2,RE=Dy,Er;Ind=indolyl)and{[μ-η^2:η^1:η^1-3-(LNCH2)Ind]RE(CH2SiMe3)(THF)}2(L^1,RE=Y,Dy,Er,Yb;L^2,RE=Er,Yb)bearing 3-arylamido functionalized indolyl ligands having diverse bonding modes with metal ions were synthesized either by the insertion reaction of the imino group to the RE-C bond or by the alkane elimination reaction.In the preparation of above complexes,rare-earth metal alkyl complexes{[μ-η^5:η^1:η^1-3-(L^2 NCH)(CH2SiMe3)Ind]Gd(CH2SiMe3)(THF)}2 with aμ-η^5:η^1:η^1 coordination mode to the gadolinium ion and{[μ-η^3:η^1:η^1-3-(L^2NCH2)Ind]Dy(CH2SiMe3)(THF)}2 with aμ-η^3:η^1:η^1 coordination mode to the dysprosium ion were unexpectedly isolated.The reactions of 3-(L^2N=CH)lnd with Er(CH2SiMe3)3(THF)2 at room temperature,generated a tetranuclear imino-indolyl erbium intermediate{[μ-η^1:η^1-3-(L^2N=CH)Ind]Er(CH2SiMe3)2(THF)}4,which can transform into the amido functionalized indolyl erbium complex in hot toluene.Moreover,the reactivities of the newly synthesized ytterbium complex with N-heterocyclic compounds were investigated,affording the corresponding products of the mixed pyridyl-indolyl,imidazolyl-indolyl,and ortho-metalated complexes.The yttrium complexes showed a high regioselectivity and steroselectivity for the isoprene polymerization with 1,4-trans selectivity up to 91.7%and 1,4-cis selectivity up to 96.1%in the presence of cocatalysts,respectively.Xiancui Zhu Yuzhe Jiang Jun Chen Shaowu Wang Zeming Huang Shan Zhu Xu Zhao Wenrun Yue Jun Zhang Weikang Wu Xiangyang Zhong 2020Chinese Journal of Chemistry2020,38,5:1

16Modelling the Emerging COVID-19 Epidemic and Estimating Intervention Effectiveness—Taiwan,China,2021显示文摘Introduction:The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic recently affected Taiwan,China.This study aimed to calculate the transmissibility of COVID-19 to predict trends and evaluate the effects of interventions.Methods:The data of reported COVID-19 cases was collected from April 20 to May 26,2021,which included daily reported data(Scenario I)and reported data after adjustment(Scenario II).A susceptibleexposed-symptomatic-asymptomatic-recovered model was developed to fit the data.The effective reproductive number(Reff)was used to estimate the transmissibility of COVID-19.Results:A total of 4,854 cases were collected for the modelling.In Scenario I,the intervention has already taken some effects from May 17 to May 26(the Reff reduced to 2.1).When the Reff was set as 0.1,the epidemic was projected to end on July 4,and a total of 1,997 cases and 855 asymptomatic individuals would have been reported.In Scenario II,the interventions were projected as having been effective from May 24 to May 26(the Reff reduced to 0.4).When the Reff was set as 0.1,the epidemic was projected to end on July 1,and a total of 1,482 cases and 635 asymptomatic individuals would have been reported.Conclusion:The epidemic of COVID-19 was projected to end after at least one month,even if the most effective interventions were applied in Taiwan,China.Although there were some positive effects of intervention in Taiwan,China.Weikang Liu Wenjing Ye Zeyu Zhao Chan Liu Bin Deng Li Luo Jiefeng Huang Yao Wang Jia Rui Benhua Zhao Yanhua Su Shenggen Wu Kun Chen Jianming Ou Tianmu Chen 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,34:1
