| 1 | Cardiotoxicity of 5-fluorouracil and capecitabine in Chinese patients: a prospective study显示文摘Background:5-Fluorouracil(5-FU)and capecitabine-associated cardiotoxicity ranging from asymptomatic electro-cardiography(ECG)abnormalities to severe myocardial infarction has been reported in a number of studies,but such cardiotoxicity in Chinese patients with malignant diseases has not been investigated to date.In the present study,we aimed to prospectively evaluate the incidence rates and clinical manifestations of 5-FU-and capecitabine-associated cardiotoxicity in cancer patients recruited from multiple centers in China.Methods:Among the 527 patients who completed the study,196 received 5-FU-based chemotherapy and 331 received capecitabine-based chemotherapy as either first-line or adjuvant therapy.Adverse events were reported during the treatment and up to 28 days of follow-up.Outcome measures included ECG,myocardial enzymes,cardiac troponin,brain natriuretic peptide and echocardiography.Univariate analysis and logistic regression were performed for subgroup analysis and identification of significant independent variables that are associated with cardiotoxicity of both agents.Results:In total,161 of 527 patients(30.6%)experienced cardiotoxicity.The incidence rate of cardiotoxicity was 33.8%(112/331)in the capecitabine group,which was significantly higher than the rate of 25%(49/196)in the 5-FU group(P=0.0042).110/527 patients(20.9%)suffered arrhythmia,105/527(19.9%)developed ischemic changes,while only 20/527 patients(3.8%)presented heart failure and 6/527 patients(1.1%)had myocardial infarction.Pre-existing cardiac disease,hypertension,capecitabine-based chemotherapy and duration of treatment were identified as sig-nificant risk factors associated with cardiotoxicity.The odds ratio were 15.7(prior history of cardiac disease versus no history),1.86(capecitabine versus 5-FU),1.06(5-8 versus 1-4 chemotherapy cycles)and 1.58(hypertension versus no hypertension),respectively.Conclusions:Cardiotoxicity induced by fluoropyrimidines in the Chinese population may be underestimated in clini-cal practice.Close monitoring of patients is recommended,especially for those patients at high risk for cardiotoxicity.Possible risk factors are duration of treatment,capecitabine-based chemotherapy,pre-existing cardiac diseases and hypertension.Trial registration This study was initiated on January 22,2014 and has been retrospectively registered with the registra-tion number ChiCTR1800015434 . | Jianjun Peng Chao Dong Chang Wang Weihua Li Hao Yu Min Zhang Qun Zhao Bo Zhu Jun Zhang Wenliang Li Fenghua Wang Qiong Wu Wenhao Zhou Ying Yuan Meng Qiu Gong Chen | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 23 |

| 3 | Analysis of grinding mechanics and improved grinding force model based on randomized grain geometric characteristics显示文摘Too high grinding force will lead to a large increase in specific grinding energy, resulting in high temperature in grinding zone, especially for the aerospace difficult cutting metal materials,seriously affecting the surface quality and accuracy. At present, the theoretical models of grinding force are mostly based on the assumption of uniform or simplified morphological characteristics of grains, which is inconsistent with the actual grains. Especially for non-engineering grinding wheel,most geometric characteristics of grains are ignored, resulting in the calculation accuracy that cannot guide practical production. Based on this, an improved grinding force model based on random grain geometric characteristics is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the surface topography model of CBN grinding wheel is established, and the effective grain determination mechanism in grinding zone is revealed. Based on the known grinding force model and mechanical behavior of interaction between grains and workpiece in different stages, the concept of grain effective action area is proposed. The variation mechanism of effective action area under the influence of grain geometric and spatial characteristics is deeply analyzed, and the calculation method under random combination of five influencing parameters is obtained. The numerical simulation is carried out to reveal the dynamic variation process of grinding force in grinding zone. In order to verify the theoretical model, the experiments of dry grinding Ti-6Al-4 V are designed. The experimental results show that under different machining parameters, the results of numerical calculation and experimental measurement are in good agreement, and the minimum error value is only 2.1 %, which indicates that the calculation accuracy of grinding force model meets the requirements and is feasible. | 9 | The benefits of PCSK9 inhibitors in patients with acute coronary syndrome:a systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin 9(PSCK9)inhibitors have been beneficial for many patients with hyperlipidemia.The objective of this study was to investigate the benefit of PSCK9 inhibitors in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:We systematically searched PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane Clinical Trials(published before January 2023;no language restriction)to compare the treatment of patients with ACS using PCSK9 inhibitors and placebo.The primary end points were major adverse cardiovascular events,nonfatal myocardial infarction,cardiogenic death,stroke,hospitalization for recurrent ACS,and coronary revascularization.Fixed-or random-effects models were used to assess the aggregated data.Results:Of the 1686 identified studies,5 were eligible and included in our analysis(of a total of 38,005 participants,18,609 cases were placed in the PCSK9 inhibitor treatment group and 19,396 cases in the placebo group).Compared with the placebo group,PCSK9 inhibitors significantly reduced the major adverse cardiovascular events(odds ratio[OR]:0.83;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.77–0.88;P<0.00001)for patients following ACS.The incidence of nonfatal myocardial infarction(relative risk:0.80;95%CI:0.74–0.87;P<0.00001),cardiovascular death(OR:0.96;95%CI:0.83–1.10;P=0.56),stroke(OR:0.74;95%CI:0.63–0.88;P=0.0007),hospitalization for recurrent ACS(OR:0.57;95%CI:0.40–0.83;P=0.003),or coronary revascularization(OR:0.82;95%CI:0.76–0.88;P<0.00001)all demonstrated a significant decrease in the comparison between the 2 groups.Conclusion:This meta-analysis demonstrated that treatment with PCSK9 inhibitors in patients with ACS reduced the probability of multiple cardiovascular events and improved patient prognosis. | Guanzhao Zhang Shuting Chang Faming Zhao Xiangfeng Guan Zifan Nie Wenhao Liu Bo Li | 2024 | Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2024,4,1: | 0 |
| 10 | A new inter‑system double‑difference RTK model applicable to both overlapping and non‑overlapping signal frequencies显示文摘Aiming at the problem that the traditional inter-system double-difference model is not suitable for non-overlapping signal frequencies,we propose a new inter-system double-difference model with single difference ambiguity estimation,which can be applied for both overlapping and non-overlapping signal frequencies.The single difference ambiguities of all satellites and Differential Inter-System Biases(DISB)are first estimated,and the intra-system double difference ambiguities,which have integer characteristics,are then fixed.After the ambiguities are successfully fixed,high-precision coordinates and DISB can be obtained with a constructed transformation matrix.The model effectively avoids the DISB parameter filtering discontinuity caused by the reference satellite transformation and the low precision of the reference satellite single difference ambiguity calculated with the code.A zero-baseline using multiple types of receivers is selected to verify the stability of the estimated DISB.Three baselines with different lengths are selected to assess the positioning performance of the model.The ionospheric-fixed and ionospheric-float models are used for short and medium-long baselines,respectively.The results show that the Differential Inter-System Code Biases(DISCB)and Differential Inter-System Phase Biases(DISPB)have good stability regardless of the receivers type and the signal frequency used and can be calibrated to enhance the strength of the positioning model.The positioning results with three baselines of different lengths show that the proposed inter-system double-difference model can improve the positioning accuracy by 6–22%compared with the intra-system double-difference model which selects the reference satellite independently for each system.The Time to First Fix(TTFF)of the two medium-long baselines is reduced by 30%and 29%,respectively. | Wenhao Zhao Genyou Liu Ming Gao Bo Zhang Shengjun Hu Minghui Lyu | 2023 | Satellite Navigation2023,4,3: | 0 |

| 14 | Cost-effective,environmentally-sustainable and scale-up synthesis of vertically oriented graphenes from waste oil and its supercapacitor applications显示文摘Vertically oriented graphenes(VGs)have attracted tremendous attention in a variety of energy storage-related applications.However,the high cost of preparing VGs significantly hinders their practical applications.Herein we introduce the Ar-plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition to demonstrate the cost-effective,environmentally-sustainable,and scale-up synthesis of VGs from waste oil.In our system,Ar gas can improve the electron energy and ionization rate of plasma,which breaks down the chemical bonding of waste oil into essential species to etch the amorphous carbon,yielding large-area VGs(12×3.5 cm^(2))with highly-oriented structure and superior growth efficiency beyond VGs from hydrocarbon precursors.In the supercapacitor applications,the VG-based electrode exhibits significantly enhanced capacitance(~4 times that from conventional hydrocarbon gases)and efficient AC(alternating current)filtering capability RC(resistor-capacitor)(time constant of of 163μs at 120 Hz),which is obviously superior to the non-oriented counterpart.Besides,MnO_(2)/VGs composite electrode is prepared to deliver a maximum energy density of~33.2 Wh/kg at 1.0 kW/kg and a power density of 10.2 kW/kg at 22.9 Wh/kg.In the end,the economic analysis suggests that the total cost of VGs can be reduced by~32%.This work provides an environment-friendly and low-cost avenue for preparing VGs for advanced energy storage applications. | Wenhao Kuang Huachao Yang Chongyan Ying Biyao Gong Jing Kong Xiangnan Cheng Zheng Bo | 2021 | Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2021,3,1: | 0 |

| 16 | Efficacy of early prone or lateral positioning in patients with severe COVID-19:a single-center prospective cohort显示文摘Background:Position intervention has been shown to improve oxygenation,but its role in non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19 has not been assessed.The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of early position intervention on non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19.Methods:This was a single-center,prospective observational study in consecutive patients with severe COVID-19 managed in a provisional ICU at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from 31 January to 15 February 2020.Patients with chest CT showing exudation or consolidation in bilateral peripheral and posterior parts of the lungs were included.Early position intervention(prone or lateral)was commenced for>4 hours daily for 10 days in these patients,while others received standard care.Results:The baseline parameters were comparable between the position intervention group(n=17)and the standard care group(n=35).Position intervention was well-tolerated and increased cumulative adjusted mean difference of SpO_(2)/FiO_(2)(409,95%CI 86 to 733)and ROX index(26,95%CI 9 to 43)with decreased Borg scale(−9,95%CI−15 to−3)during the first 7 days.It also facilitated absorption of lung lesions and reduced the proportion of patients with high National Early Warning Score 2(≥7)on days 7 and 14,with a trend toward faster clinical improvement.Virus shedding and length of hospital stay were comparable between the two groups.Conclusions:This study provides the first evidence for improved oxygenation and lung lesion absorption using early position intervention in non-invasively ventilated patients with severe COVID-19,and warrants further randomized trials. | Zhong Ni Kaige Wang Ting Wang Yuenan Ni Wei Huang Ping Zhu Tao Fan Ye Wang Bo Wang Jun Deng Zhicheng Qian Jiasheng Liu Wenhao Cai Shanling Xu Yu Du Gang Wang Zongan Liang Weimin Li Jianfei Luo Fengming Luo Dan Liu | 2020 | Precision Clinical Medicine2020,3,4: | 0 |

| 18 | Surficial modification enabling planar Al growth toward dendrite-free metal anodes for rechargeable aluminum batteries显示文摘Al metal possesses ultrahigh theoretical volumetric capacity of 8,040 m Ah cm^(-3),and gravimetric capacity of 2,980 m Ah g^(-1),and thus is highly attractive for electrochemical energy storage.However,it suffers from several issues,such as the dendrite formation,during Al stripping-deposition cycling,which has been verified to account for the short circuit and limited cyclic performance.Herein,we use a facile and applicable method to in-situ reconstruct the Al anode surface with F-Al-O chemical bonds,which could preferentially induce the planar growth of Al along the interface plane,thus leading to the dendrite-free morphology evolution during the cycling.Benefiting from F-Al-O chemical bonds on the surface of Al anodes,long lifespan of symmetric cells can be realized even under 1 m A cm^(-2)and 1 m Ah cm^(-2).Coupling the F-Al anode with graphite-based cathodes,high-voltage dual-ion Al metal batteries can be achieved with long-term cycle stability up to 1,200 cycles(at 0.5 m A cm^(-2)),surpassing the counterparts using pristine Al metal anode.Furthermore,the effectiveness of this surficial modification strategy is also elucidated with the aid of theoretical calculation.This work provides novel insights on low-cost and facile strategies against the Al dendrite growth in aluminum batteries. | Wenhao Liu Yu Li Bo Long Haoyi Yang Lumin Zheng Ying Bai Feng Wu Chuan Wu | 2024 | Science China Chemistry2024,67,4: | 0 |
| 19 | Incorporation of Mg-phenolic networks as a protective coating for magnesium alloy to enhance corrosion resistance and osteogenesis in vivo显示文摘Magnesium(Mg) and its alloys have been intensively studied to develop the next generation of bone implants recently, but their clinical application is restricted by rapid degradation and unsatisfied osteogenic effect in vivo. A bioactive chemical conversion Mg-phenolic networks complex coating(e EGCG) was stepwise incorporated by epigallocatechin-3-gallate(EGCG) and exogenous Mg^(2+)on Mg-2Zn magnesium alloy. Simplex EGCG induced chemical conversion coating(c EGCG) was set as compare group. The in vitro corrosion behavior of Mg-2Zn alloy, c EGCG and e EGCG was evaluated in SBF using electrochemical(PDP, EIS) and immersion test. The cytocompatibility was investigated with rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(r BMSCs). Furthermore, the in vivo tests using a rabbit model involved micro computed tomography(Micro-CT) analysis, histological observation, and interface analysis. The results showed that the e EGCG is Mgphenolic multilayer coating incorporated Mg-phenolic networks, which is rougher, more compact and much thicker than c EGCG. The e EGCG highly improved the corrosion resistance of Mg-2Zn alloy, combined with its lower average hemolytic ratios, continuous high scavenging effect ability and relatively moderate contact angle features, resulting in a stable and suitable biological environment, obviously promoted r BMSCs adhesion and proliferation. More importantly, Micro-CT, histological and interface elements distribution evaluations all revealed that the e EGCG effectively inhibited degradation and enhanced bone tissue formation of Mg alloy implants.
