1Performance improvement of optimization solutions by POD-based data mining显示文摘The performance of an optimized aerodynamic shape is further improved by a second-step optimization using the design knowledge discovered by a data mining technique based on Proper Orthogonal Decomposition(POD) in the present study. Data generated in the first-step optimization by using evolution algorithms is saved as the source data, among which the superior data with improved objectives and maintained constraints is chosen. Only the geometry components of the superior data are picked out and used for constructing the snapshots of POD. Geometry characteristics of the superior data illustrated by POD bases are the design knowledge, by which the second-step optimization can be rapidly achieved. The optimization methods are demonstrated by redesigning a transonic compressor rotor blade, NASA Rotor 37, in the study to maximize the peak adiabatic efficiency, while maintaining the total pressure ratio and mass flow rate.Firstly, the blade is redesigned by using a particle swarm optimization method, and the adiabatic efficiency is increased by 1.29%. Then, the second-step optimization is performed by using the design knowledge, and a 0.25% gain on the adiabatic efficiency is obtained. The results are presented and addressed in detail, demonstrating that geometry variations significantly change the pattern and strength of the shock wave in the blade passage. The former reduces the separation loss, while the latter reduces the shock loss, and both favor an increase of the adiabatic efficiency.Yanhui DUAN Wenhua WU Peihong ZHANG Fulin TONG Zhaolin FAN Guiyu ZHOU Jiaqi LUO 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,4:3
23D full-loop simulation and experimental verification of gas-solid flow hydrodynamics in a dense circulating fluidized bed显示文摘Because of their advantages of high efficiency and low cost, numerical research methods for large-scale circulating fluidized bed(CFB) apparatus are gaining ever more importance. This article presents a numerical study of gas-solid flow dynamics using the Eulerian granular multiphase model with a drag coefficient correction based on the energy-minimization multi-scale(EMMS) model.A three-dimensional,full-loop,time-dependent simulation of the hydrodynamics of a dense CFB apparatus is performed. The process parameters(e.g.,operating and initial conditions) are provided in accordance with the real experiment to enhance the accuracy of the simulation. The axial profiles of the averaged solid volume fractions and the solids flux at the outlet of the cyclone are in reasonable agreement with experimental data, thereby verifying the applicability of the mathematical and physical models. As a result, the streamline in the riser and standpipe as well as the solids distribution contours at the cross sections is analyzed.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) serves as a basis for CFB modeling to help resolve certain issues long in dispute but difficult to address experimentally. The results of this study provide the basis of a general approach to describing dynamic simulations of gas-solid flows.Xueyao Wang Xuezhi Wu Fulin Lei Jing Lei Yunhan Xiao 2014Particuology2014,12,5:2
3Modifying the Power and Performance of 2-Dimensional MoS_(2)Field Effect Transistors显示文摘Over the past 60 years, the semiconductor industry has been the core driver for the development of information technology, contributing to the birth of integrated circuits,Internet, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things.Semiconductor technology has been evolving in structure and material with co-optimization of performance–power–area–cost until the state-of-the-art sub-5-nm node.Two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are recognized by the industry and academia as a hopeful solution to break through the quantum confinement for the future technology nodes. In the recent 10 years, the key issues on 2D semiconductors regarding material, processing, and integration have been overcome in sequence, making 2D semiconductors already on the verge of application. In this paper, the evolution of transistors is reviewed by outlining the potential of 2D semiconductors as a technological option beyond the scaled metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors. We mainly focus on the optimization strategies of mobility(μ),equivalent oxide thickness(EOT),and contact resistance(RC),which enables high ON current(Ion)with reduced driving voltage(Vdd). Finally,we prospect the semiconductor technology roadmap by summarizing the technological development of 2D semiconductors over the past decade.Fulin Zhuo Jie Wu Binhong Li Moyang Li Chee Leong Tan Zhongzhong Luo Huabin Sun Yong Xu Zhihao Yu 2023Research2023,,3:2

5Deformation Analysis and Fixture Design of Thin-walled Cylinder in Drilling Process Based on TRIZ Theory显示文摘Thin-walled cylindrical workpiece is easy to deform during machining and clamping processes due to the insufficient rigidi. Moreover,it’s also difficult to ensure the perpendicularity of flange holes during drilling process. In this paper, the element birth and death technique is used to obtain the axial deformation of the hole through finite element simulation. The measured value of the perpendicularity of the hole was compared with the simulated value to verify then the rationality of the simulation model. To reduce the perpendicularity error of the hole in the drilling process, the theory of inventive principle solution(TRIZ)was used to analyze the drilling process of thin-walled cylinder, and the corresponding fixture was developed to adjust the supporting surface height adaptively.Three different fixture supporting layout schemes were used for numerical simulation of drilling process, and the maximum, average and standard deviation of the axial deformation of the flange holes and their maximum hole perpendicularity errors were comparatively analyzed, and the optimal arrangement was optimized. The results show that the proposed deformation control strategy can effectively improve the drilling deformation of thin-walled cylindrical workpiece, thereby significantly improving the machining quality of the parts.Fulin WANG Bo SHENG Yongwen WU Jiawang LI Zhou XU Zhaoxia ZHU 2021Mechanical Engineering Science2021,3,1:1
6Ribonuclease H-like gene SMALL GRAIN2 regulates grain size in rice through brassinosteroid signaling pathway显示文摘Grain size is a key agronomic trait that determines the yield in plants.Regulation of grain size by brassinosteroids(BRs)in rice has been widely reported. However, the relationship between the BR signaling pathway and grain size still requires further study. Here,we isolated a rice mutant, named small grain2(sg2),which displayed smaller grain and a semi-dwarf phenotype. The decreased grain size was caused by repressed cell expansion in spikelet hulls of the sg2 mutant.Using map-based cloning combined with a Mut Map approach,we cloned SG2,which encodes a plant-specific protein with a ribonuclease H-like domain.SG2 is a positive regulator downstream of GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE2(GSK2)in response to BR signaling, and its mutation causes insensitivity to exogenous BR treatment.Genetical and biochemical analysis showed that GSK2 interacts with and phosphorylates SG2.We further found that BRs enhance the accumulation of SG2 in the nucleus, and subcellular distribution of SG2 is regulated by GSK2 kinase activity. In addition,Oryza sativa OVATE family protein 19(OsOFP19),a negative regulator of grain shape, interacts with SG2 and plays an antagonistic role with SG2 in controlling gene expression and grain size. Our results indicated that SG2 is a new component of GSK2-related BR signaling response and regulates grain size by interacting with Os OFP19.Yunshuai Huang Hui Dong Changling Mou Ping Wang Qixian Hao Min Zhang Hongmin Wu Fulin Zhang Tengfei Ma Rong Miao Kai Fu Yaping Chen Ziyan Zhu Cheng Chen Qikai Tong Zhuoran Wang Shirong Zhou Xi Liu Shijia Liu Yunlu Tian Ling Jiang Jianmin Wan 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10:1

12A Review of Chinese Herb Medicine Additives on Chicken Growth Performance显示文摘Researches showed that many Chinese herb medicines can improve chicken growth performance not only by their pharmacological function, but also by the improvement of antioxidant function, immunity and disease resistance of chicken. The menace to human health and environment has occurred since too much antibiotics have been used as growth-promoting additives in long term in chicken industry. Therefore, research on replacement of antibiotics by Chinese herb medicines as additives for chicken growth is underway. This paper summarized some research results in the topic briefly to provide information for researchers and readers.Cui YANG Yuying LIAO Fulin WANG Jiahuang YANG Zhuyue WU 2019Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,6:1

17Real-time human segmentation by BowtieNet and a SLAM-based human AR system显示文摘Background Generally, it is difficult to obtain accurate pose and depth for a non-rigid moving object from a single RGB camera to create augmented reality (AR). In this study, we build an augmented reality system from a single RGB camera for a non-rigid moving human by accurately computing pose and depth, for which two key tasks are segmentation and monocular Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). Most existing monocular SLAM systems are designed for static scenes, while in this AR system, the human body is always moving and non-rigid. Methods In order to make the SLAM system suitable for a moving human, we first segment the rigid part of the human in each frame. A segmented moving body part can be regarded as a static object, and the relative motions between each moving body part and the camera can be considered the motion of the camera. Typical SLAM systems designed for static scenes can then be applied. In the segmentation step of this AR system, we first employ the proposed BowtieNet, which adds the atrous spatial pyramid pooling (ASPP) of DeepLab between the encoder and decoder of SegNet to segment the human in the original frame, and then we use color information to extract the face from the segmented human area. Results Based on the human segmentation results and a monocular SLAM, this system can change the video background and add a virtual object to humans. Conclusions The experiments on the human image segmentation datasets show that BowtieNet obtains state-of-the-art human image segmentation performance and enough speed for real-time segmentation. The experiments on videos show that the proposed AR system can robustly add a virtual object to humans and can accurately change the video background.Xiaomei ZHAO Fulin TANG Yihong WU 2019Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware2019,1,5:0
18Effects of Different Protein Energy Ratios on Fattening Performance,Slaughter Performance and Meat Quality of Pigs显示文摘[Objectives]Protein energy ratio refers to the proportional relationship between protein and energy levels in animal diets,i.e.,the grams of crude protein corresponding to every megacalorie of energy, which is generally expressed as CP:ME or CP:DE.This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different diets on fattening and slaughter performance and meat quality traits for'L(Large Yorkshire)×L(Landrace)'crossbred pigs.[Methods]Eighteen piglets of L×L crossbred with similar body weights about 51 kg were selected. The piglets were divided into 3 groups randomly and each group was assigned to 3 replicates with 2 piglets in a replicate.Group A was fed diet Ⅰ (control diet),group B was fed the same diet of group A in the first month of the trial but fed diet Ⅱ in second month, and group C consumed diet Ⅲ.All the pigs were fed in the same feeding condition for two months except the different diets during the trial. One pig in similar body weight from each replicate was slaughtered for the determination of slaughter performance and meat quality traits in the end of the trial.[Results]The average daily feed intake(ADFI)of pigs from group B was only(2.32±0.52)kg and significantly lower than those from group A and group C(P<0.05),but no difference was found in average daily gain(ADG) and feed/gain(P>0.05).Also,no differences occurred in the carcass length, back fat thickness, longissimus muscle (LM) area and dressing percentage(P>0.05).In addition,no differences were found in the meat quality traits of shear force, meat color,pH_(45 min),pH_(24 h) and cooking loss(P>0.05).However,the water-holding capacity of meat from group C was(2.58±0.02)ms and significantly lower than that of(2.80±0.20)ms from group A(P<0.05).Although the contents of glutamic acid and cystine in LM from group B was significantly lower than those from group A and group C(P<0.05),no differences occurred in the contents of other amino acids, the total amino acid and total flavor amino acid among the three groups(P>0.05).However,the inosine monophosphate content of LM from group C was only(331.80±11.53)mg/100 g and significantly lower than those of(361.00±6.36)and(366.37±4.80)mg/100 g from group A and B(P<0.05).Even though no differences were found in the contents of DM and CP in LM among the three groups of pigs, the content of intramuscular fat(IMF)in LM from group B and group C was increased by 45.6%and 46.58%respectively from that of group A(P<0.05),but no difference occurred between group B and C(P>0.05).[Conclusions]DietsⅡ and Ⅲ in this study caused no differences in fattening and slaughter performance of L×L crossbred pigs, but the effects on some meat traits were still significant, especially on the improvement of intramuscular fat in experimental pigs. Therefore, they could improve the meat quality of crossbred pigs to a certain extent.Cui YANG Rongsheng JIANG Yongshao WU Xiying YANG Haihong LIAO Qian QIN Shishan QIN Ying ZHANG Jiahuang YANG Limei QIN Fulin WANG 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,2:0
