2Stability of roof structure and its control in steeply inclined coal seams显示文摘To improve the effectiveness of control of surrounding rock and the stability of supports on longwall topcoal caving faces in steeply inclined coal seams, the stability of the roof structure and hydraulic supports was studied with physical simulation and theoretical analysis. The results show that roof strata in the vicinity of the tail gate subside extensively with small cutting height, while roof subsidence near the main gate is relatively assuasive. With increase of the mining space, the caving angle of the roof strata above the main gate increases. The characteristics of the vertical and horizontal displacement of the roof strata demonstrate that caved blocks rotate around the lower hinged point of the roof structure, which may lead to sliding instability. Large dip angle of the coal seam makes sliding instability of the roof structure easier.A three-hinged arch can be easily formed above both the tail and main gates in steeply inclined coal seams. With the growth in the dip angle, subsidence of the arch foot formed above the main gate decreases significantly, which reduces the probability of the roof structure becoming unstable as a result of large deformation, while the potential of the roof structure's sliding instability above the tail gate increases dramatically.Li Xiaomeng Wang Zhaohui Zhang Jinwang 2017International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2017,27,2:21

7Building a sequence map of the pig pan-genome from multiple de novo assemblies and Hi-C data显示文摘Pigs were domesticated independently in the Near East and China,indicating that a single reference genome from one individual is unable to represent the full spectrum of divergent sequences in pigs worldwide.Therefore,12 de novo pig assemblies from Eurasia were compared in this study to identify the missing sequences from the reference genome.As a result,72.5 Mb of nonredundant sequences(~3% of the genome)were found to be absent from the reference genome(Sscrofa11.1)and were defined as pan-sequences.Of the pan-sequences,9.0 Mb were dominant in Chinese pigs,in contrast with their low frequency in European pigs.One sequence dominant in Chinese pigs contained the complete genic region of the tazarotene-induced gene 3(TIG3)gene which is involved in fatty acid metabolism.Using flanking sequences and Hi-C based methods,27.7% of the sequences could be anchored to the reference genome.The supplementation of these sequences could contribute to the accurate interpretation of the 3D chromatin structure.A web-based pan-genome database was further provided to serve as a primary resource for exploration of genetic diversity and promote pig breeding and biomedical research.Xiaomeng Tian Ran Li Weiwei Fu Yan Li Xihong Wang Ming Li Duo Du Qianzi Tang Yudong Cai Yiming Long Yue Zhao Mingzhou Li Yu Jiang 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5:7

9Mechanical force drives the polarization and orientation of cells显示文摘Collective cells are organized to form specific patterns which play important roles in various physiological and pathological processes, such as tissue morphogenesis, wound healing, and cancer invasion. Compared to single cell behaviors, which has been intensively studied from many aspects (cell migration, adhesion, polarization, proliferation, etc.) and at various scales (molecular, subcellular, and cellular), the multiple cell behaviors are relatively less understood, particularly in a quantitative manner. In this paper, we will present our recent studies of collective polarization and orientation of multiple cells through both experimental measurement and theoretical modeling, including those cell behaviors on/in 2D and 3D substrate/tissue. We find that the collective cell behaviors, including polarization, alignment and migration are closely related to local stress states in cell layer or tissue, which demonstrate the crucial roles of mechanical forces in the living organisms. Specifically, the cells prefer to polarize and align along the maximum principal stress in the cell layer, and the aspect ratio of cell increases with the in-plane maximum shear stress, suggesting that the maximum shear stress is the underlying driving force of cell polarization and orientation. 10Construction of Co_(2)NiO_(4)@MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)nanoparticles with multiple hetero-interfaces for enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption显示文摘Nanocomposites with heterogeneous structures and magneto-electric synergistic losses have broad prospects for improving electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption performance.In this study,we synthesized Co_(2)NiO_(4)@MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)nanoparticles with abundant hetero-interfaces and multiple magnetoelectric loss mechanisms by a facile hydrothermal method.The excess 0.5 oxygen atoms in MnCo_(2)O_(4.5) produce more vacancies and contribute to the enhancement of electrical conductivity.Sequential nanoneedle clusters facilitate multiple reflections and absorption of EMW in the materials,which are accompanied by an abundance of heterogeneous interfaces to improve the dielectric loss.The Co_(2)NiO_(4)@MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)composites showed a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of30.01 dB and a superior effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 6.12 GHz(11.88 GHze18 GHz)at a thickness of 2.00 mm.Computer Simulation Technology(CST)revealed that the obtained particles show very low radar crosssection(RCS)values and almost full coverage angles.The maximum reduction of RCS at vertical incidence reaches 19.98 dB m2.The Co_(2)NiO_(4)@MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)nanoparticles exhibit outstanding radar attenuation properties,which can effectively inhibit the reflection and scattering of EMW.Therefore,the prepared Co_(2)NiO_(4)@MnCo_(2)O_(4.5)absorbers have great application potential in the field of EMW absorption.Yi Zhang Shujuan Tan Zhuoting Zhou Xiaomeng Guan Yu Liao Chen Li Guangbin Ji 2023Particuology2023,,10:5
11Fabrication of Crack-Free Flattened Bamboo and Its Macro-/MicroMorphological and Mechanical Properties显示文摘This work aimed to help the bamboo industry develop methodology for producing imperfection-free bamboo boards that can serve either decorative or structural benefit to consumers seeking to engage with the bioeconomy.Specifically,softened and slotted bamboo tubes were handled by a roller device with nails to render crack-free flattened bamboo board.Softening temperature and time were optimized herein according to findings regarding chemical composition and board mechanical properties.The optimal softening parameters for saturated steam heat treatment is proved to be 160°C for 8 min.The flattened bamboo board possesses an increased bending strength of 101.5 MPa and a decreased bending modulus of 7.7 GPa,being compared with only-softened bamboo.The corresponding changing mechanism is determined in-depth by the micro-morphological and mechanical results based on in-situ SEM and AFM technologies.Under the action of nails and rolling processes,the bamboo texture becomes compact with crushed and fragmented conduit walls.The resulting cell cavity then becomes stretched and compressed,taking on a morphology which allows for the mechanical penalties associated with flattening to be avoided.According to the micro-mechanical results obtained by AFM,compared with unflatten bamboo,the Young’s modulus of the cell membrane in transverse direction(YT)decreases to 1.00 GPa while the corresponding Young’s modulus in radial direction(YR)increases to 7.29 GPa.Zhichao Lou Tiancheng Yuan Qiuyi Wang Xinwu Wu Shouheng Hu Xiaomeng Hao Xianmiao Liu Yanjun Li 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,5:4
12Novel application of bergapten and quercetin with anti-bacterial,osteogenesis-potentiating,and anti-inflammation tri-effects显示文摘The bacteria-mediated inflammatory conditions adversely affect the osseointegration process of endosseous implants,which can even lead to implant malfunction or failure.Local drug delivery has been designed to exert anti-inflammatory and antibacterial activities,but whether this strategy has an effect on the compromised osseointegration under inflammation has rarely been studied.The present study focused on the osteoinductive efficacy of two known phytoestrogens[bergapten(BP)and quercetin(QE)]on implant sites under multiple bacteria-infected conditions in situ.Furthermore,the gene expression profiles of rat bone mesenchymal stem cells(rBMSCs)treated with BP and QE in the presence of Porphyromonas gingivalis-derived lipopolysaccharide were identified.The results showed that both drugs,especially QE,had significant potentiating effects on promoting osteogenic differentiation of rBMSCs,resisting multiple pathogens,and reducing inflammatory activity.Meanwhile,RNA sequencing analysis highlighted the enriched gene ontology terms and the differentially expressed genes(Vps25,Il1r2,Csf3,Efemp1,and Ccl20)that might play essential roles in regulating the above tri-effects,which provided the basis for the drug delivery system to be used as a novel therapeutic strategy for integrating peri-implant health.Overall,our study confirmed that QE appeared to outperform BP in osteogenesis and bacterial killing but not in anti-inflammation.Moreover,both drugs possess favorable tri-effects and can serve as the pivotal agents for the drug delivery system to boost osseointegration at inflammatory implant sites.Jianxu Wei Xiaomeng Zhang Yuan Li Xinxin Ding Yi Zhang Xue Jiang Hongchang Lai Junyu Shi 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6:4
13A novel intronic circular RNA,circGNG7,inhibits head and neck squamous cell carcinoma progression by blocking the phosphorylation of heat shock protein 27 at Ser78 and Ser82显示文摘Background:There is increasing evidence that circular RNAs(circRNAs)play a significant role in pathological processes including tumorigenesis.In contrast to exonic circRNAs,which are the most frequently reported circRNAs in cancer so far,the studies of intronic circRNAs have been greatly lagged behind.Here,we aimed to investigate the regulatory role of intronic circRNAs in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Methods:We conducted whole-transcriptome sequencing with four pairs of primary tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues from HNSCC patients.Then,we characterized circGNG7 expression in HNSCC tissues and cell lines and explored its association with the prognosis of HNSCC patients.We also identified interactions between circGNG7 and functional proteins,which alter downstream signaling that regulate HNSCC progression.Results:In this study,we identified a new intronic circRNA,circGNG7,and validated its functional roles in HNSCC progression.CircGNG7 was predominately localized to the cytoplasm,and its expression was downregulated in both HNSCC tissues andCAL27,CAL33,SCC4,SCC9,HN6,and HN30 cells.Low expression of circGNG7 was significantly correlated with poor prognosis in HNSCC patients.Consistent with this finding,overexpression of circGNG7 strongly inhibited tumor cell proliferation,colony formation,in vitro migration,and in vivo tumor growth.Mechanistically,the expression of circGNG7 in HNSCC cells was regulated by the transcription factor SMAD family member 4(SMAD4).Importantly,we discovered that circGNG7 could bind to serine residues 78 and 82 of the functional heat shock protein 27(HSP27),occupying its phosphorylation sites and hindering its phosphorylation,which reduced HSP27-JNK/P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)oncogenic signaling.Downregulation of circGNG7 expression in HNSCC increased HSP27-JNK/P38 MAPK signaling and promoted tumor progression.Conclusions:Our results revealed that a new intronic circRNA,circGNG7,functions as a strong tumor suppressor and that circGNG7/HSP27-JNK/P38 MAPK signaling is a novel mechanism by which HNSCC progression can be controlled.Houyu Ju Zhenrong Hu Dongliang Wei Jinyun Huang Xinyi Zhang Mengyu Rui Zhi Li Xiaomeng Zhang Jingzhou Hu Wei Guo Guoxin Ren 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,11:4
14Controllable synthesis of mesoporous carbon hollow microsphere twined by CNT for enhanced microwave absorption performance显示文摘The low dielectric loss of mesoporous carbon hollow microsphere(PCHM)requires high filler loading(higher than 20 wt%)when it is used as microwave absorbers.In order to decrease the filler loading of PCHM,a new strategy for synergistic increase of polarization and conductive loss was developed by twining PCHM with carbon nanotube(CNT)according to theoretic calculation.By the optimization of CNT content,the minimum reflection coefficient was -34.6 dB with a filler loading of only 10 wt%,which was much lower than -2.1 dB of PCHM.In addition,the effective absorption bandwidth was 3.6 GHz at X band with a thickness of 2.8 mm.The enhanced microwave absorption performance can be ascribed to the unique combination of hollow PCHM and one-dimensional CNT with higher graphitization degree,leading to increase of conductivity and heterogeneous interfaces.As a result,the conductive loss increased from 0.12 to 2.27 and polarization loss increased from 0.15 to 0.67,achieving the balance between attenuation ability and impedance match.Minghang Li Xiaomeng Fan Hailong Xu Fang Ye Jimei Xue Xiaoqiang Li Laifei Cheng 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,59,24:4
15Wind-induced hydrodynamic changes impact on sediment resuspension for large, shallow Lake Taihu, China显示文摘The internal sediment release is a key factor controlling eutrophication processes in large,shallow lakes.Sediment resuspension is associated with the wave and current induced shear stress in large,shallow lakes.The current study investigated the wind field impacts on sediment resuspension from the bottom at Meiliang Bay of large,shallow Lake Taihu.The impacts of the wind field on the wave,current,and wave-current combined shear stresses were calculated.The critical wind speed range was 4–6 m/s after which wave and current shear stress started to increase abruptly,and onshore wind directions were found to be mainly responsible for greater shear stress at the bottom of Lake Taihu.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.4756)and current(R^2 0.4466)shear stresses with wind speed.Wave shear stress accounted for 92.5% of the total shear stress at Meiliang Bay.The critical wave shear stress and critical total shear stress were 0.13 N/m^2 for sediment resuspension whereas the current shear stress was 0.019 N/m^2 after which suspended sediment concentrations(SSC)increased abruptly.A second order polynomial fitting correlation was found between wave(R^2 0.739),current(R^2 0.6264),and total shear stress(R^2 0.7394)with SSC concentrations at Meiliang Bay of Lake Taihu.The sediment resuspension rate was 120 to 738 g/m^2/d during 4–6 m/s onshore winds while offshore winds contributed ≥ 200 g/m^2/d.The study results reveal the driving mechanism for understanding the role of the wind field in sediment resuspension while considering wind speed and direction as control parameters to define wave and current shear stresses.Abdul Jalil Yiping Li Ke Zhang Xiaomeng Gao Wencai Wang Hafiz Osama Sarwar Khan Baozhu Pan Salar Ali Kumud Acharya 2019International Journal of Sediment Research2019,34,3:4
16High-precision regulation synthesis of Fe-doped Co_(2)P nanorod bundles as efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution in all-pH range and seawater显示文摘The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)via water electrolysis has gained immense research attention.Seawater electrolysis provides great opportunities for sustainable energy production,but is extremely challenging.Transition metal phosphides are promising candidate electrocatalysts.Herein,we prepared a novel Fe-Co_(2)P bundle of nanorods(BNRs)for catalyzing the HER in seawater electrolysis and over the entire p H range.Cobalt phosphides with different crystal phases and morphologies were obtained by varying the Fe doping amount.The Co:Fe molar ratio of 1:0.5 was found to be optimum.The Fe doping improved the HER performance of Co_(2)P over the entire p H range by providing favorable electronic properties and morphology,lattice distortion,and special coordination environment.The Fe-Co_(2)P BNRs showed higher catalytic activity than 20%Pt/C in seawater at high potentials.The density functional theory calculations revealed that the Fe doping reduced the hydrogen binding strength of Co_(2)P to efficiently accelerate the HER kinetics and produce a favorable charge density.This study provides valuable insights into the design and development of high-efficiency HER catalysts for large-scale seawater electrolysis.Yan Lin Kaian Sun Xiaomeng Chen Chen Chen Yuan Pan Xiyou Li Jun Zhang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:4

20Expert consensus on perioperative management of liver transplantation in adults with acute-on-chronic liver failure显示文摘Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)is a syndrome in which acute liver failure with extrahepatic organ failure occurs on chronic liver disease.Recently,liver transplantation is the only effective treatment for ACLF.There is still room for discussion on the optimal surgery timing for ACLF,perioperative infection prevention and control,and maintenance of nutrition and organ function.The Transplantation Immu-nology Committee of Branch of Organ Transplantation Physician of Chinese Medical Doctor Association and Enhanced Recovery of Liver Transplantation Group of Enhanced Recovery after Surgery Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association invited relevant experts to discuss the perioperative management of ACLF liver transplantation in areas including surgery timing,organ protection,nutritional support,infection prevention and control,rehabilitation exercises,regulation of the internal environment,etc.An expert consensus was developed as reference for clinicians.Transplantation Immunology Committee of Branch of Organ Transplantation Physician of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Enhanced Recovery of Liver Transplantation Group of Enhanced Recovery after Surgery Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Society Guihua Chen Yang Yang Huimin Yi Jianrong Liu Pinglan Lu Lijuan Li Mingming Fan Xiaomeng Yi Haijin Lv Xuxia Wei 2021Liver Research2021,5,2:3
