1Geochronology and geochemistry of the Donglufang porphyry-skarn Mo-Cu deposit in the southern Yidun Terrane and their geological significances显示文摘The newly-discovered Donglufang Moe Cu porphyry-skarn deposit is located in the southern Yidun Terrane, southeast Tibet, with more than 80 million tonnes(Mt) of reserves(grading 0.15 wt.% Mo and0.48 wt.% Cu) hosted in Triassic strata and Late Cretaceous granodiorite porphyry. Ree Os dating of molybdenum ore yielded a weighted mean age of 84.9 ± 1.0 Ma and an isochron age of 85.2 ± 0.6 Ma.LA-ICP-MS Ue Pb dating of zircons from the granodiorite porphyry yielded206 Pb/238 U ages ranging from 87.4 Ma to 84.2 Ma with a weighted mean206 Pb/238 U age of 85.1 ±0.5 Ma, indicating a temporal linkage between granitic magmatism and Moe Cu mineralization. Geochemical analyses show that the granodiorite porphyries are I-type granites with Si O_2 contents of 64.3 -66.7 wt.%. These rocks are typically metaluminous with high K_2 O/Na_2 O ratios, low Mg O(1.32 -1.56 wt.%), Cr(5.6 -12.9 ppm), Ni(3.79 -10.81 ppm), Mg#(43 -52) values, and high Sr(304 -844 ppm), Sr/Y(21.2 -50.8) and La/Yb ratios(37.0 -60.1). They are enriched in light rare-earth elements(LREE) relative to heavy rare-earth elements(HREE), with slightly negative Eu anomalies, and are enriched in Th, U and large ion lithophile elements(LILE, e.g., K and Rb), and depleted in high field strength elements(HFSE, e.g., Nb, Ta, P and Ti). They also show negative zircon εHf(t) values(-6.7 to -2.3) and negative whole rock εNd(t) values(à5.2 to-4.3), as well as old Hfe Nd model ages, indicating the magmas were derived from a thickened ancient lower crust within the garneteamphibolite facies. Considering the tectonic evolution of the Yidun Terrane, geochemical characteristics of granodiorite porphyry, and the ages of mineralization obtained in this study. We suggest that the Donglufang deposit was formed in a post-collisional setting, which has a genetic relationship with the emplacement of the granodiorite porphyry. 2Influence of Different Al Contents on Microstructure, Tensile and Wear Properties of Zn-based Alloy显示文摘The influence of different Al contents on the microstructure, hardness, tensile and wear behavior of Zn-based alloys was investigated in the present study. The test results show that alloy with 27% Al content shows the higher ultimate strength and elongation percent at room and elevated temperatures. It also exhibits the higher wear resistance at all loads in view of the higher tightness of Zn-27Al alloy. Increasing Al content from 33% to 48% results in improvement of ultimate strength and elongation percent at room and elevated temperatures. However, the ultimate strength and elongation percent of the ZA48 alloy are still lower than that of Zn-27Al alloys. 3Depositional Characteristics and Formation Mechanisms of Deep-Water Canyon Systems along the Northern South China Sea Margin显示文摘Submarine canyon systems are sites for coarser clastic sediment accumulations in the deep-water domains, having the most potential for hydrocarbon reservoirs. Based on the interpretation of high resolution 2 D/3 D seismic and drilling data, depositional characteristics of three large deep-water canyon systems on the South China Sea northern margin have been analyzed. The Central Canyon System has a deep incision geomorphology extending from east to west, featured by distinct canyon segmentations, multi-provenance sediment supplies and multi-stage canyon fillings. The Pearl River Canyon System’s formation is closely related to the development of Pearl River Delta. Its vertical stacking and migrating canyon patterns have changed over time. The depositional architectures and evolution of the recent Penghu-Gaoping Canyon System respond to tectonic movements along the Taiwan-Luzon convergent continental margin. The main controlling factors of the formation and evolution of these three canyon systems include the tectonic setting, sediment supply, sea level change and paleo-geomorphology, among which the former two are dominant. The Penghu-Gaoping Canyon System formed along the subduction structural zone, directly indicating a typical tectonic origin. 4Electrochemical performance of La_(2)NiO_(4+δ)-Ce_(0.55)La_(0.45)O_(2−δ)as a promising bifunctional oxygen electrode for reversible solid oxide cells显示文摘In this work,La_(2)NiO_(4+δ)-Ce_(0.55)La_(0.45)O_(2−δ)(denoted as LNO-xLDC)with various LDC contents(x=0,10,20,30,and 40 wt%)were prepared and evaluated as bifunctional oxygen electrodes for reversible solid oxide cells(RSOCs).Compared with the pure LNO,the optimum composition of LNO-30LDC exhibited the lowest polarization resistance(Rp)of 0.53 and 0.12Ω·cm^(2)in air at 650 and 750℃,respectively.The enhanced electrochemical performance of LNO-30LDC oxygen electrode was mainly attributed to the extended triple phase boundary and more oxygen ionic transfer channels.The hydrogen electrode supported single cell with LNO-30LDC oxygen electrode displayed peak power densities of 276,401,and 521 mW·cm^(−2)at 700,750,and 800℃,respectively.Moreover,the electrolysis current density of the single cell demonstrated 526.39 mA·cm^(−2) under 1.5 V at 800℃,and the corresponding hydrogen production rate was 220.03 mL·cm^(−2)·h^(−1).The encouraging results indicated that LNO-30LDC was a promising bifunctional oxygen electrode material for RSOCs.Pengzhang Li Wei Yang Chuanjin Tian Wenyan Zhao Zhe Lü Zhipeng Xie Chang-An Wang 2021Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,2:2
5The source and transport of bioaerosols in the air:A review显示文摘Recent pandemic outbreak of the corona-virus disease 2019(COVID-19)has raised widespread concerns about the importance of the bioaerosols.They are atmospheric aerosol particles of biological origins,mainly including bacteria,fungi,viruses,pollen,and cell debris.Bioaerosols can exert a substantial impact on ecosystems,climate change,air quality,and public health.Here,we review several relevant topics on bioaerosols,including sampling and detection techniques,characterization,effects on health and air quality,and control methods.However,very few studies have focused on the source apportionment and transport of bioaerosols.The knowledge of the sources and transport pathways of bioaerosols is essential for a comprehensive understanding of the role microorganisms play in the atmosphere and control the spread of epidemic diseases associated with them.Therefore,this review comprehensively summarizes the up to date progress on the source characteristics,source identification,and diffusion and transport process of bioaerosols.We intercompare three types of diffusion and transport models,with a special emphasis on a widely used mathematical model.This review also highlights the main factors affecting the source emission and transport process,such as biogeographic regions,land-use types,and environmental factors.Finally,this review outlines future perspectives on bioaerosols.Wenwen Xie Yanpeng Li Wenyan Bai Junli Hou Tianfeng Ma Xuelin Zeng Liyuan Zhang Taicheng An 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,3:2
6Effects of electric-acoustic and acoustic-electric conversions of transducers on acoustic logging signal显示文摘Based on an acoustic logging transmission network and the engineering pattern of a sliding wave in acoustic logging, analysis and calculations have been performed in a study of the effects of the electric-acoustic and acoustic-electric conversions of the transducers on the acoustic logging signal. The results show that acoustic-electric conversion through the transducer can cause not only a serious disturbance in the signal amplitude, but also an apparent transmission delay. For engineering applications, the amplitude variation and transmission delay must be accounted for in a practical analysis of the acoustic logging signal in rocks. 8Single cell analysis reveals inhibition of angiogenesis attenuates the progression of heterotopic ossification in Mkx^(−/−)mice显示文摘Tendon heterotopic ossification(HO)is characterized by bone formation inside tendon tissue,which severely debilitates people in their daily life.Current therapies fail to promote functional tissue repair largely due to our limited understanding of HO pathogenesis.Here,we investigate the pathological mechanism and propose a potential treatment method for HO.Immunofluorescence assays showed that the Mohawk(MKX)expression level was decreased in human tendon HO tissue,coinciding with spontaneous HO and the upregulated expression of osteochondrogenic and angiogenic genes in the tendons of Mkx^(−/−)mice.Single-cell RNA sequencing analyses of wild-type and Mkx^(−/−)tendons identified three cell types and revealed the excessive activation of osteochondrogenic genes during the tenogenesis of Mkx^(−/−)tendon cells.Single-cell analysis revealed that the gene expression program of angiogenesis,which is strongly associated with bone formation,was activated in all cell types during HO.Moreover,inhibition of angiogenesis by the small-molecule inhibitor BIBF1120 attenuated bone formation and angiogenesis in the Achilles tendons of both Mkx mutant mice and a rat traumatic model of HO.These findings provide new insights into the cellular mechanisms of tendon HO and highlight the inhibition of angiogenesis with BIBF1120 as a potential treatment strategy for HO.Junxin Lin Yuwei Yang Wenyan Zhou Chao Dai Xiao Chen Yuanhao Xie Shan Han Huanhuan Liu Yejun Hu Chenqi Tang Varitsara Bunpetch Dandan Zhang Yishan Chen Xiaohui Zou Di Chen Wanlu Liu Hongwei Ouyang 2022Bone Research2022,10,4:1
9Combined cell grafting and VPA administration facilitates neural repair through axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis in traumatic brain injury显示文摘Neuronal regeneration and functional recovery are severely compromised following traumatic brain injury(TBl).Treatment options,including cell transplantation and drug therapy,have been shown to benefit TBl,although the underlying mechanisms remain elusive.In this study,neural stem cells(NSCs)are transplanted into TBl-challenged mice,together with olfactory ensheathing cells(OECs)or followed by valproic acid(VPA)treatment.Both OEC grafting and VPA treatment facilitate the differentiation of NSCs into neurons(including endogenous and exogenous neurons)and significantly attenuate neurological functional defects in TBl mice.Combination of NSCs with OECs or VPA administration leads to overt improvement in axonal regeneration,synaptogenesis,and synaptic plasticity in the cerebral cortex in TBl-challenged mice,as shown by retrograde corticospinal tract tracing,electron microscopy,growth-associated protein 43(GAP43),and synaptophysin(SYN)analyses.However,these beneficial effects of VPA are reversed by local delivery of N-methyl-D-aspartate(NMDA)into tissues surrounding the injury epicenter in the cerebral cortex,accompanied by a pronounced drop in axons and synapses in the brain.Our findings reveal that increased axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis evoked by cell grafting and VPA fosters neural repair in a murine model of TBl.Moreover,VPA-induced neuroprotective roles are antagonized by exogenous NMDA administration and its concomitant decrease in the number of neurons of local brain,indicating that increased neurons induced by VPA treatment mediate axonal regeneration and synaptogenesis in mice after TBl operation.Collectively,this study provides new insights into NSC transplantation therapy for TBI.Sujuan Liu Haili Tian Yanmei Niu Chunxia Yu Lingjian Xie Zhe Jin Wenyan Niu Jun Ren Li Fu Zhi Yao 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,9:1

15Numerical simulation of stress field in inclusions of large rudder arm steel castings显示文摘The influence of non-metallic inclusions on quality and performance of steel depends on not only the quantity of inclusions,but also the type,shape,size,distribution,and deformation behavior. In this paper,ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to simulate the stress field of inclusions appearing in heavy rudder arm steel castings,the effects of inclusion type,shape,distribution,and various loading conditions were studied. The micromechanics of inclusions in such castings were also analyzed. 18Adsorption Mechanism of Acetylene Hydrogenation on the Pd (111) Surface显示文摘First-principles calculations are carried out to examine the adsorption of acetylene over the Pd(111)surface.A hydrogen adsorption system is initially investigated to confirm the reliability of the selected calculation method.Adsorption energies,Mulliken-populations,overlap populations,charge density,and projected density of states(PDOS)are then calculated in the optimised acetylene adsorption system.Results show that C_(2)H_(2) molecule tends to adsorb through the threefold parallel-bridge configuration that is computed to be the most stable.In this structure,the distance of the C-H bond is calculated to be 1.09 Å,and the C-C-H bond angle is 128°.The distance of the C-C bond in acetylene is 1.36 Å,increasing from 1.21 Å in the gas phase.Moreover,the C-C bond overlap population decreases from 1.98 to 1.38,revealing that the carbon configuration in C2H2 rehybridises from sp to sp^(2) and beyond.The obtained results are compared with available experimental studies on acetylene hydrogenation on single-metal surfaces.The PDOS study indicates that a carbonaceous layer may generate on the metal surface during acetylene adsorption.The carbonaceous layer can affect the adsorption and reaction of acetylene,thereby inactivating the metal surface.Our experiments also show that Pd exhibits high catalytic activity.Xuejia Xie Xiuli Song Wenyan Dong Zhenhai Liang Caimei Fan Peide Han 2014Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,7:1
19A new discovered ABCA1 gene polymorphisms and the association of ABCA1 SNPs with coronary artery disease and plasma lipids in Chinese population显示文摘Objective: Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) gene are related to plasma lipid and susceptibility to coronary artery disease (CAD). Our first goal was to screen all 50 coding regions of ABCA1 to find new SNPs. Our second goal was to investigate the frequency distribution of R1587K and M883I polymorphisms of ABCA1 gene, which are the variant occurred most frequently, in Chinese people and to evaluate their association with the CAD phenotype and plasma lipids. Methods: Single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) and DNA sequence were used for confirming new SNP of ABCA1, and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) were applied for confirming genotypes of R1587K and M883I in 112 CAD cases and 108 healthy people. Results: We discovered a new ABCA1 SNP in Chinese population, which converse 233 amino acids from Methionine to Valine (M233V). This new ABCA1 SNP located in exon7, and might potentially modulate the biological function of lipid metabolism. For R1587K and M883I SNPs, the K allele and I allele frequency was 28.9%and 31.1%, respectively. The K allele at R1587K conferred lower mean values of HDL-C in a dose-dependent manner in both CAD patients and healthy people. However, 883I allele was not associated with plasma lipid level. Neither 1587KK nor 883II associated with increased risk of CAD. 20A Rapid, Non-invasive Method for Anatomical Observations of Tadpole Vertebrae in Vivo显示文摘The tadpole is a critical stage in the amphibian life cycle and plays an important role during the transition from the aquatic to the terrestrial stage.However,there is a large gap in tadpole research,which represents a vital component of our understanding of the diversity and complexity of the life history traits of amphibians,especially their developmental biology.Some aspects of this gap are due to limited research approaches.To date,X-ray microcomputed tomography(micro-CT)has been widely used to conduct osteology research in adult amphibians and reptiles,but little is known about whether this tool can be applied in tadpole studies.Thus,we compared the results of two methods(the bone-cartilage double-staining technique and micro-CT)to study vertebrae in tadpole specimens.The results revealed no significant difference between the two methods in determining the number of vertebrae,and micro-CT represents a rapid,non-invasive,reliable method of studying tadpole vertebrae.When scanning tadpoles,voltage is the most critical of the scanning parameters(voltage,current and scan time),and moderate scanning parameters are recommended.In addition,micro-CT performed better using specimens stored in 70% ethanol than those preserved in 10% formalin.Finally,we suggest that micro-CT should be more widely applied in herpetological research to increase specimen utilization.Guocheng SHU Shan XIONG Wenyan ZHANG Jianping JIANG Cheng LI Feng XIE 2018Asian Herpetological Research2018,9,2:0
