2Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants,such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents,near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination,with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants,and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions.In contrast,the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite,indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants,mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents,since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations.Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together,these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost,may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary,especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite.Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:12
3Characterization of flavor fingerprinting of red sufu during fermentation and the comparison of volatiles of typical products显示文摘Traditional Chinese red sufu is a popular condiment,and typical flavor is an important indicator of sensory qualities in commercial products.In this study,the volatile aroma analysis of Wangzhihe red sufu(WRS)from different fermentation stages and four typical red sufu products from different locations was carried out by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC–MS),gas chromatography-mass spectrometry/olfactory(GC–MS/O),electronic nose(E-nose)and sensory evaluation.Results showed that 106 volatile compounds were identified in Wangzhihe red sufu during fermentation process,in which phenolics and alcohols were dominant at molded and salted phetze stages,while esters and alcohols became predominate at post-fermentation stage.The volatile aroma substances varied at each fermentation stage.Furthermore,86 volatiles,including 16 aroma-active compounds,were detected in four typical red sufu products.The multivariate analysis results showed the difference in samples from different fermentation stages and typical red sufu products according to GC–MS and E-nose analysis.Combined with flavor omics,discriminant model was established for effective discrimination of samples from different fermentation stages and locations,as well as references to sufu maturity extent.The study presented a new strategy for quality evaluation of red sufu,which could be the supplement to quality evaluation standards.Peng Wang Xiaoran Ma Wenping Wang Dandan Xu Xin Zhang Jian Zhang Yong Sun 2019Food Science and Human Wellness2019,8,4:7
4Structural control of silica aerogel fibers for methylene blue removal显示文摘The development of efficient adsorbents is significant for the miniaturization and cost reduction of water purifying facility. In our previous study, a new kind of silica aerogel fibers(SAFs) with hierarchical structure and hollow structure were developed, which shows outstanding mass transport property and adsorption performance. Herein, we further control and study the hierarchical structure and hollow structure of silica aerogel fibers by changing the sulfuric acid concentration of ageing bath and spinning speed. For removing methylene blue, A0 W120 SAFs sample, with DI water as ageing bath and a winding speed of 120 mm/s,presents the best mass transport property and adsorption performance, as they possess larger pore sizes in the outer layer, thinner fiber wall and higher degree of hollowness. 5An accurate indoor map matching algorithm based on activity detection and crowdsourced Wi-Fi显示文摘Map matching has been widely investigated in indoor pedestrian navigation to improve positioning accuracy and robustness.This paper proposes an accurate map matching algorithm based on activity detection and crowdsourced Wi-Fi(AiFiMatch).Firstly, by taking indoor road segments between activity-related locations as nodes, and the activity type from one road segment to another as directed edge, the indoor floor plan is abstracted as a directed graph. Secondly, the smartphone’s motion sensors are utilized to detect different activities based on a decision tree and then the pedestrian’s walking trajectory is divided into subtrajectory sequence according to location-related activities. Finally, the sub-trajectory sequence is matched to the directed graph of indoor floor plan to position the pedestrian by using a Hidden Markov Model(HMM). Simultaneously, Wi-Fi fingerprints are bound to road segments based on timestamp. Through crowdsourcing, a radio map of indoor road segments is constructed. The radio map in turn inversely promotes the HMM based map matching algorithm. AiFiMatch is evaluated by the experiments using smartphones in a teaching building. 6CFD Study on Local Fluid-to-Wall Heat Transfer in Packed Beds and Field Synergy Analysis显示文摘To reach the target of smaller pressure drop and better heat transfer performance, packed beds with small tube-to-particle diameter ratio(D/dp<10) have now been considered in many areas. Fluid-to-wall heat transfer coefficient is an important factor determining the performance of this type of beds. In this work, local fluid-to-wall heat transfer characteristic in packed beds was studied by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) at different Reynolds number for D/dp=1.5, 3.0 and 5.6. The results show that the fluid-to-wall heat transfer coefficient is oscillating along the bed with small tube-to-particle diameter ratio. Moreover, this phenomenon was explained by field synergy principle in detail. Two arrangement structures of particles in packed beds were recommended based on the synergy characteristic between flow and temperature fields. 8Aggf1 attenuates hepatic inflammation and activation of hepatic stellate cells by repressing Ccl2 transcription显示文摘Liver injury represents a continuum of pathophysiological processes involving a complex interplay between hepatocytes, macrophages, and hepatic stellate cells. The mechanism whereby these intercellular interactions contribute to liver injury and fibrosis is not completely understood. We report here that angiogenic factor with G patch and FHA domains 1(Aggfl) was downregulated in the livers of cirrhotic patients compared to healthy controls and in primary hepatocytes in response to carbon tetrachloride(CC14) stimulation. Overexpression of Aggfl attenuated macrophage chemotaxis. Aggfl interacted with NF-κB to block its binding to the Ccl2 gene promoter and repressed Ccl2 transcription in hepatocytes. Macrophages cultured in the conditioned media collected from Aggfloverexpressing hepatocytes antagonized HSC activation. 9A branched dihydrophenazine-based polymer as a cathode material to achieve dual-ion batteries with high energy and power density显示文摘Organic electrode materials have exhibited good electrochemical performance in batteries,but their voltages and rate capabilities still require improvement to meet the increasing demand for batteries with high energy and power density.Herein,we design and synthesize a branched dihydrophenazine-based polymer(p-TPPZ)as a cathode material for dual-ion batteries(DIBs)through delicate molecular design.Compared with the linear dihydrophenazine-based polymer(p-DPPZ,with a theoretical capacity of 209 mAh g^(−1)),p-TPPZ possessed a higher theoretical capacity of 233 mAh g^(−1)and lower highest occupied molecular orbital energy levels,which resulted in a high actual capacity(169.3 mAh g^(−1)at 0.5 C),an average discharge voltage of 3.65 V(vs.Li+/Li)and a high energy density(618.2 Wh kg^(−1),based on the cathode materials).The branched structure of p-TPPZ led to a larger specific surface area than that of p-DPPZ,which was beneficial for the electrolyte infiltration and fast ionic transport,contributing to the high power density.Due to the fast reaction kinetics,even at a power density of 23,725 W kg^(−1)(40 C),the energy density still reached 474.5 Wh kg^(−1).We also made a detailed investigation of the p-TPPZ cathode’s charge storage mechanism.This work will stimulate the further molecular design to develop organic batteries with both high energy and power density.Shuaifei Xu Huichao Dai Shaolong Zhu Yanchao Wu Mingxuan Sun Yuan Chen Kun Fan Chenyang Zhang Chengliang Wang Wenping Hu 2021eScience2021,1,1:2
10Preparation of natural brucite nanofibers by the dispersion method显示文摘The preparation of natural brucite nanofibers through dispersion by the wet process is described. The test results indicate that brucite fibers can be well dispersed by using sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate (OT) as the dispersant at a dispersant/fiber mass ratio of 0.15:1, dispersing for 30 min at a water/solid mass ratio of 20:1. The prepared nanofibers were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). It is shown that the prepared single brucite nanofiber is around 30 nm in diameter and the talus of the nonsingle brucite nanofibers is about 50-150 nm in diameter. Natural brucite mineral fibers were treated by the dispersion method to obtain nanomaterials. 19Reversible Magnesium Metal Anode Enabled by Cooperative Solvation/Surface Engineering in Carbonate Electrolytes显示文摘Magnesium metal anode holds great potentials toward future high energy and safe rechargeable magnesium battery technology due to its divalent redox and dendrite-free nature. Electrolytes based on Lewis acid chemistry enable the reversible Mg plating/stripping,while they fail to match most cathode materials toward highvoltage magnesium batteries. Herein,reversible Mg plating/stripping is achieved in conventional carbonate electrolytes enabled by the cooperative solvation/surface engineering. Strongly electronegative Cl from the MgCl_(2) additive of electrolyte impairs the Mg…O = C interaction to reduce the Mg^(2+) desolvation barrier for accelerated redox kinetics,while the Mg^(2+)-conducting polymer coating on the Mg surface ensures the facile Mg^(2+) migration and the e ective isolation of electrolytes. As a result,reversible plating and stripping of Mg is demonstrated with a low overpotential of 0.7 V up to 2000 cycles. Moreover,benefitting from the wide electrochemical window of carbonate electrolytes,high-voltage(> 2.0 V) rechargeable magnesium batteries are achieved through assembling the electrode couple of Mg metal anode and Prussian blue-based cathodes.
