1Improved algorithm of light scattering by a coated sphere显示文摘An efficient numerical algorithm for computing the light scattering by a coated sphere is proposed. The calculation of relevant functions by different recurrence algorithms is discussed. The new algorithm avoids the numerical difficulties, which give rise to significant errors encountered in practice by prior methods. Exemplifying results such as extinction efficiency, scattering efficiency, light scattering intensity as well as calculation speed are provided. 3Tailoring combinatorial lipid nanoparticles for intracellular delivery of nucleic acids, proteins,and drugs显示文摘Lipid nanoparticle(LNP)-based drug delivery systems have become the most clinically advanced non-viral delivery technology.LNPs can encapsulate and deliver a wide variety of bioactive agents,including the small molecule drugs,proteins and peptides,and nucleic acids.However,as the physicochemical properties of small-and macromolecular cargos can vary drastically,every LNP carrier system needs to be carefully tailored in order to deliver the cargo molecules in a safe and efficient manner.Our group applied the combinatorial library synthesis approach and in vitro and in vivo screening strategy for the development of LNP delivery systems for drug delivery.In this Review,we highlight our recent progress in the design,synthesis,characterization,evaluation,and optimization of combinatorial LNPs with novel structures and properties for the delivery of small-and macromolecular therapeutics both in vitro and in vivo.These delivery systems have enormous potentials for cancer therapy,antimicrobial applications,gene silencing,genome editing,and more.We also discuss the key challenges to the mechanistic study and clinical translation of new LNP-enabled therapeutics.Yamin Li Zhongfeng Ye Hanyi Yang Qiaobing Xu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,6:3
4Unveiling the Effects of Interchain Hydrogen Bonds on Solution Gelation and Mechanical Properties of Diarylfluorene-Based Semiconductor Polymers显示文摘The intrinsically rigid and limited strain of most conjugated polymers has encouraged us to optimize the extensible properties of conjugated polymers.Herein,learning from the hydrogen bonds in glucose,which were facilitated to the toughness enhancement of cellulose,we introduced interchain hydrogen bonds to polydiarylfluorene by amide-containing side chains.Through tuning the copolymerization ratio,we systematically investigated their influence on the hierarchical condensed structures,rheology behavior,tensile performances,and optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers.Compared to the reference copolymers with a low ratio of amide units,copolymers with 30%and 40%amide units present a feature of the shearthinning process that resembled the non-Newtonian fluid,which was enabled by the interchain dynamic hydrogen bonds.Besides,we developed a practical and universal method for measuring the intrinsic mechanical properties of conjugated polymers.We demonstrated the significant impact of hydrogen bonds in solution gelation,material crystallization,and thin film stretchability.Impressively,the breaking elongation for P4 was even up to~30%,which confirmed the partially enhanced film ductility and toughness due to the increased amide groups.Furthermore,polymer light-emitting devices(PLEDs)based on these copolymers presented comparable performances and stable electroluminescence(EL).Thin films of these copolymers also exhibited random laser emission with the threshold as low as 0.52μJ/cm^(2),suggesting the wide prospective application in the field of flexible optoelectronic devices.Lubing Bai Yamin Han Chen Sun Xiang An Chuanxin Wei Wei Liu Man Xu Lili Sun Ning Sun Mengna Yu He Zhang Qi Wei Chunxiang Xu Yingguo Yang Tianshi Qin Linghai Xie Jinyi Lin Wei Huang 2020Research2020,,1:2
5Evolutionary analysis of Omicron variant BF.7 and BA.5.2 pandemic in China显示文摘On December 7,2022,China adjusted public health control measures,there have been widespread of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Chinese mainland.As the number of infected people increased,the mutation probability of SARS-CoV-2 is also raised.Therefore,it is of great importance to monitor SARS-CoV-2 variants and its mutations in China.In this current study,665 SARS-CoV-2 genomes from China deposited in the public database were used to analyze the proportion of different variants;to determine the composition of variants in China across different provinces;and analyze specific mutation frequency,focusing on 12 immune escape residues.The results showed that no new mutations were generated on the 12 immune escape residues.The evolutionary analysis of the BF.7 variant circulating in China showed that there is an independent evolutionary branch with unique mutation sites,officially named BF.7.14 by PANGO.This variant may have been imported from Russia to Inner Mongolia at the end of September 2022 and continued its spread in China.The evolutionary analysis of BA.5.2 variant shows that the variant is composed of two sub-variants,named BA.5.2.48 and BA.5.2.49 by PANGO,respectively.This variant may have been imported from abroad to Beijing at the beginning of September 2022 and formed two sub-variants after domestic transmission.Finally,this study showed that current epidemic variants in China were already circulating in other countries,and there were no additional mutations on immune escape residues that could pose a threat to other countries.Yamin Sun Min Wang Wenchao Lin Wei Dong Jianguo Xu 2023Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity2023,5,1:2

7Alkyl-chain branched effect on the aggregation and photophysical behavior of polydiarylfluorenes toward stable deep-blue electroluminescence and efficient amplified spontaneous emission显示文摘The control of the condensed superstructure of light-emitting conjugated polymers(LCPs)is a crucial factor to obtain high performance and stable organic optoelectronic devices.Side-chain engineering strategy is an effective platform to tune inter chain aggregation and photophysical behaviour of LCPs.Herein,we systematically investigated the alkyl-chain branched effecton the conformational transition and photophysical behaviour of polydiarylfluorenes toward efficient blue optoelectronic devices.The branched side chain will improve materials solubility to inhibit interchain aggregation in solution according to DLS and optical analysis,which is useful to obtain high quality film.Therefore,our branched PEODPF,POYDPF pristine film present high luminance efficiency of 36.1%and 39.6%,enhanced about 20%relative to that of PODPF.Compared to the liner-type sides'chain,these branched chains also suppress chain planarization and improve film morphological stability effectively.Interestingly,the branched polymer also had excellent stable amplified spontaneous emission(ASE)behaviour with low threshold(4.72μJ/cm2)and a center peak of 465 nm,even thermal annealing at 220℃in the air atmosphere.Therefore,side-chain branched strategy for LCPs is an effective means to control interchain aggregation,film morphology and photophysical property of LCPs.Lili Sun Ning Sun Lubing Bai Xiang An Bin Liu Chen Sun Lixiang Fan Chuanxin Wei Yamin Han Mengna Yu Jinyi Lin Dan Lu Ning Wang Linghai Xie Kang Shen Xinwen Zhang Yanan Xu Juan Cabanillas-Gonzalez Wei Huang 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,11:1

15Deposition of Ag Nanoparticles on Carbon Microspheres Surface:Evaluation of Structures,Electrochemical and Optical Properties显示文摘A hybrid material of carbon microspheres(CMSs) with Ag decoration(Ag/CMSs) was developed.Poly(3-hexylthiophene):Ag/CMSs composite film was prepared by spin-coating.Scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis and cyclic voltammetry were employed to analyze the morphologies,structures,thermal properties and energy levels of Ag/CMSs.The optical property of the composite films was characterized by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry and fluorescent spectrometry.The results indicate that silver nanoparticles(AgNPs,d = 10-20 nm) are distributed on the surface of CMSs.LUMO and HOMO energy levels of Ag/CMSs are-3.97 and-5.52 e V,below the vacuum energy level,respectively,indicating that it is feasible to use Ag/CMSs as an electron acceptor.Ag NPs are blended into the active layer to trigger localized surface plasmon resonance,and consequently enhance light harvesting.The coupling of surface plasmons and excitons increased the probability of exciton dissociation.杨维佳 HAO Yamin YAN Lingpeng 杨永珍 陈永康 LIU Xuguang XU Bingshe 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4:1

20Massive‐scale genomic analysis reveals SARS‐CoV‐2 mutation characteristics and evolutionary trends显示文摘The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS‐CoV‐2)pandemic resulted in significant societal costs.Hence,an in‐depth understanding of SARS‐CoV‐2 virus mutation and its evolution will help determine the direction of the COVID‐19 pandemic.In this study,we identified 296,728 de novo mutations in more than 2,800,000 high‐quality SARS‐CoV‐2 genomes.All possible factors affecting the mutation frequency of SARS‐CoV‐2 in human hosts were analyzed,including zinc finger antiviral proteins,sequence context,amino acid change,and translation efficiency.As a result,we proposed that when adenine(A)and tyrosine(T)bases are in the context of AM(M stands for adenine or cytosine)or TA motif,A or T base has lower mutation frequency.Furthermore,we hypothesized that translation efficiency can affect the mutation frequency of the third position of the codon by the selection,which explains why SARS‐CoV‐2 prefers AT3 codons usage.In addition,we found a host‐specific asymmetric dinucleotide mutation frequency in the SARS‐CoV‐2 genome,which provides a new basis for determining the origin of the SARS‐CoV‐2.Finally,we summarize all possible factors affecting mutation frequency and provide insights into the mutation characteristics and evolutionary trends of SARS‐CoV‐2.Yamin Sun Min Wang Wenchao Lin Wei Dong Jianguo Xu 2022mLife2022,1,3:0
