1Enhancement of room-temperature magnetoresistance in La_(0.6)Dy_(0.1)Sr_(0.3)MnO_3/Ag_x显示文摘The samples of La0.6Dy0.1Sr0.3MnO3/(Ag2O)x/2(x = 0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.10, 0.20, 0.25, and 0.30) were prepared by using the solid-state reaction method.Their magnetic property, transport behavior, transport mechanism and magnetoresistance effect were studied through the measurements of magnetization-temperature(M-T) curves, ρ-T curves and the fitting of ρ-T curves.The results indicated that Ag could take part in the reaction when the doping amount is small.However, when the doping amount is comparatively large, Ag as metallic state mainly deposits on the grain boundary of La0.6Dy0.1Sr0.3MnO3, and then the system forms a two-phase composite.When the Ag doping amount is 30% mole ratio, the resistivity of the sample is one order of magnitude smaller than that of low doped samples, and its peak of magnetoresistance at 292 K and in the magnetic field of 0.2 T strengthens apparently and reaches 16.3%, which is over 7 times as large as 2.2% of La0.6Dy0.1Sr0.3MnO3.The two-phase composite system of magnetoresistance based on perovskite manganite consists of two parts:intrinsic magnetoresistance and extrinsic magnetoresistance.However, extrinsic magnetoresistance comes from spin-dependent scattering(SDS) and spin-polarized tunneling(SPT).Magnetoresistance near TC increases due to the contribution of intrinsic magnetoresistance and extrinsic magnetoresistance formed by SDS, and magnetoresistance at low temperature is extrinsic magnetoresistance formed by SPT.SONG Qixiang NIU Xiaofei WANG Guiying TANG Yonggang CAI Zhirang PENG Zhensheng 2010Rare Metals2010,29,2:10
2Fluorescence regional integration and differential fluorescence spectroscopy for analysis of structural characteristics and proton binding properties of fulvic acid sub-fractions显示文摘Structural characteristics and proton binding properties of sub-fractions(FA3–FA13) of fulvic acid(FA), eluted stepwise by pyrophosphate buffer were examined by use of fluorescence titration combined with fluorescence regional integration(FRI) and differential fluorescence spectroscopy(DFS). Humic-like(H-L) and fulvic-like(F-L) materials, which accounted for more than 80% of fluorescence response, were dominant in five sub-fractions of FA. Based on FRI analysis, except the response of F-L materials in FA9 and FA13, maximum changes in percent fluorescence response were less than 10% as pH was increased from 2.5 to 11.5.Contents of carboxylic and phenolic groups were compared for fluorescence peaks of FA sub-fractions based on pH-dependent fluorescence derived from DFS. Static quenching was the dominant mechanism for binding of protons by FA sub-fractions. Dissociation constants(p Ka) were calculated by use of results of DFS and the modified Stern-Volmer relationship. The p Kaof H-L, F-L, tryptophan-like and tyrosine-like materials of FA subfractions exhibited ranges of 3.17–4.06, 3.12–3.97, 4.14–4.45 and 4.25–4.76, respectively, for acidic pHs. At basic pHs, values of p Ka for corresponding materials were in ranges of 9.71–10.24, 9.62–10.99, 9.67–10.31 and 9.33–10.28, respectively. At acidic pH, protein-like(P-L)materials had greater affinities for protons than did either H-L or F-L materials. The dicarboxylic and phenolic groups were likely predominant sites of protonation for both H-L and F-L materials at both acidic and basic pHs. 4Metallogeny of the Baiyangping Lead-Zinc Polymetallic Ore Concentration Area, Northern Lanping Basin of Yunnan Province, China显示文摘The Lanping Basin in the Nujiang-Lancangjiang-Jinshajiang(the Sanjiang) area of northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is an important part of eastern Tethyan metallogenic domain. This basin hosts a number of large unique sediment-hosted Pb-Zn polymetallic deposits or ore districts, such as the Baiyangping ore concentration area which is one of the representative ore district. The Baiyangping ore concentration area can be divided into the east and west ore belts, which were formed in a folded tectogene of the India-Asia continental collisional setting and was controlled by a large reverse fault. Field observations reveal that the Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary strata were outcropped in the mining area, and that the orebodies are obviously controlled by faults and hosted in sandstone and carbonate rocks. However, the ore-forming elements in the east ore belt are mainly Pb-Zn-Sr-Ag, while Pb-Zn-Ag-Cu-Co elements are dominant in the west ore belt. Comparative analysis of the C-O-Sr-S-Pb isotopic compositions suggest that both ore belts had a homogeneous carbon source, and the carbon in hydrothermal calcite is derived from the dissolution of carbonate rock strata; the oreforming fluids were originated from formation water and precipitate water, which belonged to basin brine fluid system; sulfur was from organic thermal chemical sulfate reduction and biological sulfate reduction; the metal mineralization material was from sedimentary strata and basement, but the difference of the material source of the basement and the strata and the superimposed mineralization of the west ore belt resulted in the difference of metallogenic elements between the eastern and western metallogenic belts. The Pb-Zn mineralization age of both ore belts was contemporary and formed in the same metallogenetic event. 5Islet organoid as a promising model for diabetes显示文摘Studies on diabetes have long been hampered by a lack of authentic disease models that,ideally,should be unlimited and able to recapitulate the abnormalities involved in the development,structure,and function of human pancreatic islets under pathological conditions.Stem cell-based islet organoids faithfully recapitulate islet development in vitro and provide large amounts of three-dimensional functional islet biomimetic materials with a morphological structure and cellular composition similar to those of native islets.Thus,islet organoids hold great promise for modeling islet development and function,deciphering the mechanisms underlying the onset of diabetes,providing an in vitro human organ model for infection of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2,and contributing to drug screening and autologous islet transplantation.However,the currently established islet organoids are generally immature compared with native islets,and further efforts should be made to improve the heterogeneity and functionality of islet organoids,making it an authentic and informative disease model for diabetes.Here,we review the advances and challenges in the generation of islet organoids,focusing on human pluripotent stem cell-derived islet organoids,and the potential applications of islet organoids as disease models and regenerative therapies for diabetes.Xiaofei Zhang Zhuo Ma Eli Song Tao Xu 2022Protein & Cell2022,13,4:4
6Functional Characterization of the Apple RING E3 Ligase MdMIEL1 in Transgenic Arabidopsis显示文摘E3 ubiquitin ligases are involved in various physiological processes,and they play pivotal roles in growth and development.In this study,we identified a previously unknown gene in the apple fruit(Malus×domestica)and named it MdMIEL1.The MdMIEL1 gene encoded a protein that contained a zinc-finger domain at its N-terminus and a RING-finger motif at its C-terminus.To investigate MdMIEL1 functions,we generated transgenic Arabidopsis lines expressing the MdMIEL1 gene under the control of the Cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter.Interestingly,ectopic expression of MdMIEL1 in Arabidopsis produced multiple phenotypes,including early germination,early flowering and a lateral root number increase relative to wild-type plants.Further analysis indicated that MdMIEL1 regulated lateral root initiation by increasing auxin accumulation in the roots.In a word,these results suggest that,MdMIEL1 as a novel RING-finger ubiquitin ligase influences plant growth and development,and highlight that MdMIEL1 regulates lateral root growth.AN Jianping LIU Xin SONG Laiqing YOU Chunxiang WANG Xiaofei HAO Yujin 2017Horticultural Plant Journal2017,3,2:3
7Modified g-C_(3)N_(4) derived from ionic liquid and urea for promoting visible-light photodegradation of organic pollutants显示文摘In this work,modified g-C_(3)N_(4) was fabricated successfully by calcination of ionic liquid(IL) and urea.The addition of IL changed the polymerization mode of urea,induced the self-assembly of urea molecules,modified the morphological structure of the tightly packed g-C_(3)N_(4),and extended the electron conjugation system.When using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl) as a modifier,the heteroatom Cl could be inserted into the g-C_(3)N_(4) to optimize the electronic structure.The results of characterizations indicate that the unique structure of modified g-C_(3)N_(4) has an expanded electron delocalization range,introduces an interlayer charge transmission channel,promotes the charge transmission,reduces the band gap,enhances the absorption of visible light,and inhibits electron-hole recombination.Modified g-C_(3)N_(4) showed excellent photocatalytic performance for the degradation of rhodamine B and tetracycline.Furthermore,the effect of different anions in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium salts([Bmim]Cl,[Bmim]Br,[Bmim][BF_(4)],and [Bmim][PF_6]) on the structure and function of g-C_(3) N_(4) are discussed.Hongbing Song Lei Liu Bingxiao Feng Haozhong Wang Meng Xiao Hengjun Gai Yubao Tang Xiaofei Qu Tingting Huang 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,12:2
8Template-free synthesis of hollow TiO2 nanospheres supported Pt for selective photocatalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde显示文摘Heterogeneous photocatalytic system are widely applied to degrade organic pollutants or converse into high value-added chemicals. Both environmental and energy aspects should be considered to improve these chemical processes, favoring reaction conditions that involve room temperature and ambient O2 pressure. In the present work, hollow titanium dioxide nanospheres were fabricated via template-free method. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by photocatalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde with visible light under atmospheric pressure at room temperature. 10Low intensity near-infrared light promotes bone regeneration via circadian clock protein cryptochrome 1显示文摘Bone regeneration remains a great clinical challenge. Low intensity near-infrared(NIR) light showed strong potential to promote tissue regeneration, offering a promising strategy for bone defect regeneration. However, the effect and underlying mechanism of NIR on bone regeneration remain unclear. We demonstrated that bone regeneration in the rat skull defect model was significantly accelerated with low-intensity NIR stimulation. In vitro studies showed that NIR stimulation could promote the osteoblast differentiation in bone mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) and MC3T3-E1 cells, which was associated with increased ubiquitination of the core circadian clock protein Cryptochrome 1(CRY1) in the nucleus. We found that the reduction of CRY1 induced by NIR light activated the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP) signaling pathways, promoting SMAD1/5/9 phosphorylation and increasing the expression levels of Runx2 and Osterix. NIR light treatment may act through sodium voltage-gated channel Scn4a, which may be a potential responder of NIR light to accelerate bone regeneration. 13Passive shimming based on mixed integer programming for MRI magnet显示文摘A mathematical model based on mixed integer programming is presented in this paper for the passive shimming of magnet in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) scanner.In this model,the magnetic field inhomogeneity tolerance and the central value of the magnetic field after shimming are programmed together with the volume of each shim piece as the variables,which increases the degree of freedom and guarantees a better solution.The magnetic field inhomogeneity tolerance after shimming with a weighting coefficient and the total volume of shim pieces are both contained in the objective function of the model.By assigning different values to the weighting coefficient in the objective function,different shimming plans with different emphases can be obtained.A simulation test has been carried out on a small permanent magnet with frame structure.Several solutions are given and compared in this paper,which indicates that a practical shimming plan can be obtained quickly by solving this model.YOU XiaoFei WANG Zheng ZHANG XiaoBing YANG WenHui SONG Tao 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,5:2
14The study of the adductor muscle-shell interface structure in three Mollusc species显示文摘The adductor muscle scar(AMS) is the fixation point of adductor muscle to the shell. It is an important organicinorganic interface and stress distribution area. Despite recent advances, our understanding of the structure and composition of the AMS remain limited. Here, we report study on the AMS of three bivalves: Mytilus coruscus,Chlamys farreri and Ruditapes philippinarum. Results showed that there were significant differences among their AMS structures. Both M. coruscus and C. farreri were found to have a columnar layer above the nacreous platelet shell structure at the AMS and this layer was more organized in M. coruscus. There was no distinguishable twolayer structure in R. philippinarum. Atomic force microscopy(AFM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) results showed that the AMS was much smoother than the nacreous inner shell in all the three species and the AMS had minor different compositions from the nacreous shell layer. SDS-PAGE(sodium dodecyl-sulfate polyacrylamide gel electophoresis) study of the proteins isolated from the interface indicated that there was a 70 k Da protein which seemed to be specifically located to the highly organized columnar AMS structure in Mytilus coruscus. 15A Static Magnetic Field Improves Iron Metabolism and Prevents High-Fat-Diet/Streptozocin-Induced Diabetes显示文摘Type 2 diabetes(T2D)is a metabolic disorder with high prevalence and severe complications that has recently been indicated to be treatable by a combined static magnetic field(SMF)and electric field.We systematically compared four types of SMFs and found that a downward SMF of100 mT could effectively reduce the development of hyperglycemia,fatty liver,weight gain,and tissue injury in high-fat-diet(HFD)/streptozocin-induced T2D mice,but not the upward SMF.The downward SMF markedly restored the Bacteroidetes population and reversed the iron complex outer membrane receptor gene reduction in the mice gut microbiota,and reduced iron deposition in the pancreas.SMF also reduced the labile iron and reactive oxygen species level in pancreatic Min6 cells in vitro and prevented palmitate-induced Min6 cell number reduction.Therefore,this simple SMF setting could partially prevent HFD-induced T2D development and ameliorate related symptoms,which could provide a low-cost and non-invasive physical method to prevent and/or treat T2D in the future.Biao Yu Juanjuan Liu Jing Cheng Lei Zhang Chao Song Xiaofei Tian Yixiang Fan Yue Lv Xin Zhang 2021The Innovation2021,2,1:1
16Functional identification of MdSMXL8.2,the homologous gene of strigolactones pathway repressor protein gene in Malus×domestica显示文摘A homologous gene of strigolactones repressor protein gene SMXL7/D53,MdSMXL8.2(GenBank accession No.:MD07G1222400),was cloned from‘Royal Gala’apple(Malus×domestica Borkh.)in this study.The sequence analysis revealed that the length of this gene was 3243 bp,which encoded 1080 amino acids,and had a protein molecular mass of∼110 kD.The phylogenetic tree analysis indicated that the MdSMXL8.2 exhibited the highest sequence similarity with Arabidopsis AtSMXL7.The protein conserved domain analysis revealed that the MdSMXL8.2 contained two ClpA domains.The prediction of the secondary and tertiary structures of the MdSMXL8.2 indicated that it contained 34.54%αhelix,3.43%β-sheet,and 11.76%extended chain.The in-silico analysis suggested that the promoter sequence of MdSMXL8.2 contained several typical cisacting elements,including abscisic acid(ABA),gibberellin(GA),ethylene,auxin,jasmonic acid(JA),salicylic acid(SA),drought,and heat stressresponsive elements.Quantitative real-time(qRT)-PCR analyses revealed that MdSMXL8.2 was expressed in different apple tissues,with the highest transcript level found in the stem.The expression of MdSMXL8.2 was significantly induced by exogenous ABA,PEG and mannitol,while exogenous NaCl significantly inhibited MdSMXL8.2 expression.The growing status of MdSMXL8.2-overexpressed Orin apple callus was worse than the wild type(WT)after NaCl treatment and had a higher malondialdehyde(MDA)content and relative conductance(REC).Additionally,MdSMXL8.2-overexpressed Arabidopsis exhibited shorter root length and a reduction in fresh weight under salt stress,indicating that MdSMXL8.2 negatively regulated salt tolerance in apples.Weijian Sun Xinglong Ji Laiqing Song Xiaofei Wang Chunxiang You Yujin Hao 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,4:1

19Comparative Nutritional Analysis on Fish Meal and Meat and Bone Meal of Harmless Treatment of Dead Pig Carcass显示文摘In order to explore the resource utilization of the harmless treatment product(pork meat and bone meal,abbreviated PM)of pigs died of non-communicable diseases,the general nutritional components and amino acid composition of PM and fish meal were determined and compared.The results showed that the contents of moisture,crude protein,crude fat and ash in PM and fish meal were 3.25%and 8.92%,66.65%and 66.67%,13.52%and 8.23%,18.25%and 21.50%,respectively.The contents of essential amino acids(EAA)in PM and fish meal were 19.94%and 22.35%,respectively.For PM and fish meal,the first limiting amino acid was Met(methionine)+Cys(cysteine),and the second limiting amino acid was Lys(lysine);their essential amino acid indexes(EAAI)were 66.60 and 77.04,respectively;and their delicious amino acid(DAA)contents were 26.89%and 23.15%,respectively.In summary,the meat and bone meal of pigs died of non-communicable diseases has the characteristics of high protein and low ash contents,and has certain development and utilization potential as a recycled waste resource,especially in aquatic feed to replace fish meal.Xiaofei CHENG Jin XIANG Shiming DENG Xing TIAN Xiping YUAN Shaoming LI Rui SONG Li LIU 2020Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,6:1
20CsTRM5 regulates fruit shape via mediating cell division direction and cell expansion in cucumber显示文摘Fruit shape and size are important appearance and yield traits in cucumber,but the underlying genes and their regulatory mechanisms remain poorly understood.Here we identified a mutant with spherical fruits from an Ethyl Methane Sulfonate(EMS)-mutagenized library,named the qiu mutant.Compared with the cylindrical fruit shape in 32X(wild type),the fruit shape in qiu was round due to reduced fruit length and increased fruit diameter.MutMap analysis narrowed the candidate gene in the 6.47 MB range on Chr2,harboring the FS2.1 locus reported previously.A single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)(11359603)causing a truncated protein of CsaV3_2G013800,the homolog of tomato fruit shape gene SlTRM5,may underlie the fruit shape variation in the qiu mutant.Knockout of CsTRM5 by the CRISPR-Cas9 system confirmed that CsaV3_2G013800/CsTRM5 was the causal gene responsible for qiu.Sectioning analysis showed that the spherical fruit in qiu resulted mainly from increased and reduced cell division along the transverse and longitudinal directions,respectively.Meanwhile,the repressed cell expansion contributed to the decreased fruit length in qiu.Transcriptome profiling showed that the expression levels of cell-wall-related genes and abscisic acid(ABA)pathway genes were significantly upregulated in qiu.Hormone measurements indicated that ABA content was greatly increased in the qiu mutant.Exogenous ABA application reduced fruit elongation by inhibiting cell expansion in cucumber.Taken together,these data suggest that CsTRM5 regulates fruit shape by affecting cell division direction and cell expansion,and that ABA participates in the CsTRM5-mediated cell expansion during fruit elongation in cucumber.Yang Xie Xiaofeng Liu Chengzhen Sun Xiaofei Song Xiaoli Li Haonan Cui Jingyu Guo Liu Liu Ao Ying Zeqin Zhang Xueyun Zhu Liying Yan Xiaolan Zhang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,3:1
