1Superconductivity at 36 K in gadolinium-arsenide oxides GdO_(1-x)F_xFeAs显示文摘In this paper we report the fabrication and superconducting properties of GdO1-xFxFeAs. It was found that when x is equal to 0.17, GdO0.83F0.17FeAs is a su-perconductor with the onset transition temperature Tcon ≈ 36.6 K. Resistivity anomaly near 130 K was observed for all samples up to x = 0.17, and such a phenomenon is similar to that of LaO1-xFxFeAs. 2Methylesterification of cell-wall pectin controls the diurnal flower-opening times in rice显示文摘Flowers are the core reproductive organ of plants, and flowering is essential for cross-pollination. Diurnal flower-opening time is thus a key trait influencing reproductive isolation, hybrid breeding, and thermostability in plants. However, the molecular mechanisms controlling this trait remain unknown. Here, we report that rice Diurnal Flower Opening Time 1 (DFOT1) modulates pectin methylesterase (PME) activity to regulate pectin methylesterification levels of the lodicule cell walls, which affect lodicule swelling to control diurnal flower-opening time. DFOT1 is specifically expressed in the lodicules, and its expression gradually increases with the approach to flowering but decreases with flowering. Importantly, a knockout of DFOT1 showed earlier diurnal flower opening. We demonstrate that DFOT1 interacts directly with multiple PMEs to promote their activity. Knockout of PME40 also resulted in early diurnal flower opening, whereas overexpression of PME42 delayed diurnal flower opening. Lower PME activity was observed to be associated with higher levels of pectin methylesterification and the softening of cell walls in lodicules, which contribute to the absorption of water by lodicules and cause them to swell, thus promoting early diurnal flower opening. Higher PME activity had the opposite effect. 3Confining ultrafine tin monophosphide in Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)interlayers for rapid and stable sodium ion storage显示文摘Phase separation in conversion/alloying-based anodes easily causes crystal disintegration and leads to bad cycling performance.Tin monophosphide(SnP)is an excellent anode material for sodium ion battery due to its unique three-dimensional crystallographic layered structure.In this work,we report the in situ growth of ultrafine SnP nanocrystals within Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene interlayers.The MXene framework is used as a conductive matrix to provide high ionic/electrical transfer paths and reduce the Na^(+)diffusion barrier in the electrode.In situ and ex situ measurements reveal that the synergy between small SnP crystal domains and the confinement provided by the MXene host prevents mechanical disintegration and major phase separation during the sodiation and desodiation cycles.The resultant electrode exhibits fast Na^(+)storage kinetics and excellent cycling stability for over 1000 cycles.A full cell assembled with this new SnP-based anode and a Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode delivers a high energy density of 265.4 Wh kg^(-1)and a power density of 3252.4 W kg^(-1),outperforming most sodium-ion batteries reported to date.Jiayong Tang Xiyue Peng Tongen Lin Xia Huang Bin Luo Lianzhou Wang 2021eScience2021,1,2:2

6Recent advancements of photo-and electro-active hydrogenbonded organic frameworks显示文摘The development of hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks(HOFs) with predictable topologies and robust structures for targeted functionality was initially hindered by the relatively weak H-bonding interactions as many HOFs would collapse upon guest solvent removal. Recently, the design of tectons with large π-conjugated systems that form intermolecular shape-fitted π-πstacking interactions has proven to be an effective strategy to create chemically and thermally stable HOFs. More importantly,these HOFs with large π-conjugated tectons exhibit accelerated redox hopping processes due to more favorable through-space orbital overlap interactions. These intrinsic photoelectric properties render HOFs an appealing and unique class of photoactive and electroactive porous materials for catalysis, sensing, and biomedical applications. Based on shape-fitted π-π stacking strategy, various robust photoactive and electroactive HOFs have been built from tectons containing both photosensitive or redox-active organic cores and hydrogen bonding sites. This review summarizes the recent advancements, including synthetic methods and diverse applications, in the development of photo-and electro-active HOFs. 7Seasonal snow cover patterns explain alpine treeline elevation better than temperature at regional scale显示文摘Unprecedented modern rates of warming are expected to advance alpine treelines to higher elevations,but global evidence suggests that current treeline dynamics are influenced by a variety of factors.Seasonal snow cover has an essential impact on tree recruitment and growth in alpine regions,which may in turn influence current treeline elevation;however,little research has been conducted on its role in regional treeline formation.Based on 11,804treeline locations in the eastern Himalayas,we extracted elevation,climate,and topographic data for treeline and snowline.Specifically,we used linear and structural equation modelling to assess the relationship between these environmental factors and treeline elevation,and the climate-snow-treeline interaction mechanism.The results showed that the treeline elevation increased with summer temperature and permanent or seasonal snowline elevation,but decreased with snow cover days and spring temperature at the treeline positions(P<0.001).Importantly,spring snowline elevation(33.4%)and seasonal snow cover days(21.1%)contributed the most to treeline elevation,outperforming the permanent snowline,temperature,precipitation,and light.Our results support the assertion that the temperature-moisture interaction affects treeline elevation in the eastern Himalayas,but we also found that the effects were strongly mediated by seasonal snow cover patterns.The increasing tendency of snow cover governed by climate humidification observed in the eastern Himalayas,is likely to limit future treeline advancement and may even cause treeline decline due to the mortality of the remaining old trees.Together,our findings highlight the role of seasonal snow cover patterns in determining treeline elevation in the eastern Himalayas,which should be considered when assessing the potential for treeline ascent in snow-mediated alpine systems elsewhere.Mengyue Huang Guoyan Wang Xiaojuan Bie Yunqing Jiang Xiyue Huang Jing-Ji Li Songlin Shi Tingbin Zhang Pei-Hao Peng 2023Forest Ecosystems2023,10,2:0
8Preliminary surgical outcomes of laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with transrectal specimen extraction:a propensity score matching study of 120 cases(with video)显示文摘Background:Compared with conventional laparoscopic surgery,natural orifice specimen extraction surgery(NOSES)has many advantages.Laparoscopic right colectomy with transvaginal specimen extraction has been reported,but the safety and feasibility of transrectal specimen extraction in male patients with ascending colon cancer remain to be verified.This study aimed to preliminarily evaluate the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with transrectal specimen extraction.Methods:The study was conducted at a single tertiary medical center in China.A total of 494 consecutive patients who underwent laparoscopic right colectomy between September 2018 and September 2020 were included.Transrectal specimen extraction was performed in 40 male patients(the NOSES group).Patients in the NOSES group were matched to the conventional laparoscopic group using propensity score matching at a 1:2 ratio.Short-term and long-term outcomes between the two groups were compared and evaluated.Results:Forty patients in the NOSES group and 80 patients in the conventional laparoscopic group were matched for analysis.Baseline characteristics were balanced after propensity matching.The operative features,including operating time,intraoperative bleeding,and the number of harvested lymph nodes,were statistically comparable in both groups.In terms of post-operative recovery,patients in the NOSES group showed preferable outcomes,as evidenced by less post-operative pain and faster return to flatus,defecation,and discharge.The post-operative complications rate,according to the Clavien–Dindo classification system,was similar in both groups.No differences in overall survival or disease-free survival were observed between the two groups.Conclusions:Laparoscopic right colectomy with transrectal specimen extraction is oncologically safe.Compared with conventional laparoscopic right colectomy,it can reduce post-operative pain,accelerate post-operative recovery,shorten the hospital stay,and achieve better cosmetic effect.Mingguang Zhang Zheng Liu Peng Sun Xiyue Hu Haitao Zhou Zheng Jiang Jianqiang Tang Qian Liu Xishan Wang 2023Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1:0
9Superconductivity in Ti-doped iron-arsenide compound Sr_4Cr_(0.8)Ti_(1.2)O_6Fe_2As_2显示文摘Superconductivity was achieved in Ti-doped iron-arsenide compound Sr4Cr0.8Ti1.2O6Fe2As2 (abbreviated as Cr-FeAs-42622). The X-ray diffraction measurement shows that this material has a layered structure with the space group of P4/nmm,and with the lattice constants a = b = 3.9003  and c = 15.8376 . Clear diamagnetic signals in ac susceptibility data and zero-resistance in resistivity data were detected at about 6 K,confirming the occurrence of bulk superconductivity. 13In-situ alloyed CoCrFeMnNi high entropy alloy:Microstructural development in laser powder bed fusion显示文摘In-situ alloying has the potential to combine the compositional flexibility of high entropy alloys(HEAs)and the advanced forming capability of laser powder bed fusion(LPBF).This study fundamentally investigated the elemental homogenisation and grain development in the in-situ alloying process of CoCrFeMnNi HEA,by analysing the basic units,i.e.,tracks and layers,and introducing Mn as an alloying element to the base Co Cr Fe Ni HEA.Different modelling methods were employed to predict meltpool dimensions,and the results indicated the dependence of the modelling on practical meltpool modes.Delimitation of elemental distribution was found in keyhole meltpools since an intensive flow was generated due to recoil pressure.The homogeneity of in-situ alloyed Mn in single tracks was insufficient whether operated in conduction mode or keyhole mode,which required remelting from adjacent tracks and following layers to promote homogenisation significantly.The preferred orientation in single tracks along scanning directions changed from<001>to<101>as the scanning speed increased,although the cross-sections were similar in size with identical linear energy density.Such preference can be inherited during the printing process and lead to different textures in three-layer samples.It was also observed that applying hatch spacing smaller than a half meltpool width could coarsen the grains in a layer.The results from this study provide structure-parameter correlations for future microstructural tailoring and manipulation.Peng Chen Xiyu Yao Moataz M.Attallah Ming Yan 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,28:0
