1Key residues of the receptor binding motif in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 that interact with ACE2 and neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the novel human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,is currently a major threat to public health worldwide.The viral spike protein binds the host receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)via the receptor-binding domain(RBD),and thus is believed to be a major target to block viral entry.Both SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV share this mechanism.Here we functionally analyzed the key amino acid residues located within receptor binding motif of RBD that may interact with human ACE2 and available neutralizing antibodies.The in vivo experiments showed that immunization with either the SARS-CoV RBD or SARS-CoV-2 RBD was able to induce strong clade-specific neutralizing antibodies in mice;however,the cross-neutralizing activity was much weaker,indicating that there are distinct antigenic features in the RBDs of the two viruses.This finding was confirmed with the available neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2.It is worth noting that a newly developed SARS-CoV-2 human antibody,HA001,was able to neutralize SARS-CoV-2,but failed to recognize SARS-CoV.Moreover,the potential epitope residues of HA001 were identified as A475 and F486 in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,representing new binding sites for neutralizing antibodies.Overall,our study has revealed the presence of different key epitopes between SARS-CoV and SARSCoV-2,which indicates the necessity to develop new prophylactic vaccine and antibody drugs for specific control of the COVID-19 pandemic although the available agents obtained from the SARS-CoV study are unneglectable.Chunyan Yi Xiaoyu Sun Jing Ye Longfei Ding Meiqin Liu Zhuo Yang Xiao Lu Yaguang Zhang Liyang Ma Wangpeng Gu Aidong Qu Jianqing Xu Zhengli Shi Zhiyang Ling Bing Sun 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6:13

5A nuclear localized protein ZCCHC9 is expressed in cerebral cortex and suppresses the MAPK signal pathway显示文摘The CCHC-type zinc finger motif has numerous biological activities (such as DNA binding and RNA binding) and can also mediate protein-protein interaction. This article gives a primary report about the human ZCCHC9 gene. Protein ZCCHC9 contains four CCHC motifs and is highly conserved in humans, mice, and rats. The whole cDNA sequence of the ZCCHC9 gene has been amplified by PCR and a number of plasmids have been constructed for further study. The results show that ZCCHC9 is localized in the nucleus, and especially concentrated in the nucleolus. It is highly expressed in the brain and testicles of the mouse. This has been confirmed by real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). In situ hybridization of the mouse brain indicates that ZCCHC9 is mainly expressed in the cerebral cortex. 6Sulfur vs. tellurium: the heteroatom effects on the nonfullerene acceptors显示文摘The effect of chalcogen heteroatom variation on donor materials has been systematically investigated. However, this effect on acceptors has rarely been explored. Herein, nonfullerene acceptors BFPSP and BFPTP were reported by simply changing the chalcogen atoms from S to Te. The differences between BFPSP and BFPTP in light absorption, energy levels, excited-state lifetimes, energy loss, charge mobilities, morphology, and photovoltaic properties were systematically investigated to understand the heteroatom effects. 9Haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may improve long-term survival for children with high-risk T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in first complete remission显示文摘Background: The role of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) in children with high-risk (HR) T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) in first complete remission (CR1) is still under evaluation. Moreover, relapse is the main factor affecting survival. This study aimed to explore the effect of allo-HSCT (especially haploidentical HSCT [haplo-HSCT]) on improving survival and reducing relapse for HR childhood T-ALL in CR1 and the prognostic factors of childhood T-ALL in order to identify who could benefit from HSCT.Methods: A total of 74 newly diagnosed pediatric T-ALL patients between January 1, 2012 and June 30, 2018 were enrolled in this retrospective study. Patients were stratified into the low-risk chemotherapy cohort (n = 16), HR chemotherapy cohort (n = 31), and HR transplant cohort (n = 27). Characteristics, survival outcomes, and prognostic factors of all patients were then analyzed.Results: Patient prognosis in the HR chemotherapy cohort was significantly worse than that in the low-risk chemotherapy cohort (5-year overall survival [OS]: 58.5%vs. 100%,P = 0.003;5-year event-free survival [EFS]: 54.1%vs. 83.4%,P = 0.010;5-year cumulative incidence of relapse [CIR]: 45.2%vs. 6.3%,P = 0.011). In HR patients, allo-HSCT improved the 5-year EFS and CIR compared to that of chemotherapy (5-year EFS: 80.1%vs. 54.1%,P = 0.041;5-year CIR: 11.6%vs. 45.2%,P = 0.006). The 5-year OS was higher in the HR transplant cohort than that in the HR chemotherapy cohort (81.0%vs. 58.5%,P = 0.084). 11Resistive Switching Properties and Failure Behaviors of(Pt, Cu)/Amorphous ZrO_(2)/Pt Sandwich Structures显示文摘The effect of Pt and Cu electrodes on the resistive switching properties and failure behaviors of amorphous ZrO_2 ?lms were investigated. Compared with Cu/ZrO_2/Pt structures, the Pt/ZrO_2/Pt structures exhibit better resistive switching properties such as the higher resistance ratio of OFF/ON states, the longer switching cycles and narrow distribution of OFF state resistance(Roff). The switching mechanism in the Pt/ZrO_2/Pt structure can be attributed to the formation and rupture of oxygen vacancy ?laments; while in the Cu/Zr O2/Pt structure, there exist both oxygen vacancy ?laments and Cu ?laments. The formation of Cu?laments is related to the redox reaction of Cu electrode under the applied voltage. 12To Construct High Level Secure Communication System: CTMI Is Not Enough显示文摘Public key cryptographic(PKC) algorithms, such as the RSA, elliptic curve digital signature algorithm(ECDSA) etc., are widely used in the secure communication systems, such as OpenSSL, and a variety of information security systems. If designer do not securely implement them, the secret key will be easily extracted by side-channel attacks(SCAs) or combinational SCA thus mitigating the security of the entire communication system. Previous countermeasures of PKC implementations focused on the core part of the algorithms and ignored the modular inversion which is widely used in various PKC schemes. Many researchers believe that instead of straightforward implementation, constant time modular inversion(CTMI) is enough to resist the attack of simple power analysis combined with lattice analysis. However, we find that the CTMI security can be reduced to a hidden t-bit multiplier problem. Based on this feature, we firstly obtain Hamming weight of intermediate data through side-channel leakage. Then, we propose a heuristic algorithm to solve the problem by revealing the secret(partial and full) base of CTMI. Comparing previous nec-essary input message for masking filtering, our procedure need not any information about the secret base of the inversion. 13Preparation and photodetection performance of high crystalline quality and large size β-Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires显示文摘Ultrawide band gap semiconductors are promising solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)photodetector materials due to their suitable bandgap,strong absorption and high sensitivity.Here,β-Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires with high crystal quality and large size were grown by the chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The microwires reach up to 1 cm in length and were single crystalline with low defect density.Owing to its high crystal quality,a metal–semiconductor–metal photodetector fabricated from a Ga_(2)O_(3)microwire showed a responsivity of 1.2 A/W at 240 nm with an ultrahigh UV/visible rejection ratio(R_(peak)/R_(400 nm))of 5.8×10^(5),indicating that the device has excellent spectral selectivity.In addition,no obvious persistent photoconductivity was observed in the test.The rise and decay time constants of the device were 0.13 and 0.14 s,respectively.This work not only provides a growth method for high-quality Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires,but also demonstrates the excellent performance of Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires in solar-blind ultraviolet detection.Yuefei Wang Yurui Han Chong Gao Bingsheng Li Jiangang Ma Haiyang Xu Aidong Shen Yichun Liu 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,6:0
14Crystal Structure and Geometry-Optimization Study of N-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldene)-4-aminoantipyrine显示文摘N-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldene)-4-aminoantipyrine has been synthesized. The structure is determined by X-ray diffraction method and elemental analysis. The crystal system belongs to orthorhombic space group P(2)2(1)2(1). The geometry has been ob- tained from the density functional theory (DFT) method and the B3LYP method employing the 6-31G* basis sets. The calculated results propose that the latter is close to the experimental data. The structural parameters from the theory are close to those of the crystal and the calculated total energy of coordination is ?31677.172 eV.
