| 1 | Preparation of multi-color quantum dots and its application to immunohistochemical analysis显示文摘Quantum dots (QDs) have the potential to be used in the multiplexed bioanalysis for their unique property:multi-color QDs can be excited at the same single wavelength light. In this work,high quan-tum yield multi-color core/shell QDs were prepared. After being water-solubilized by amphiphilic polymer based on self-assembling,the QDs would be labeled by two different IgGs and used in the multiplexed biodetection. Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) should be avoided in the multiplexed biodetection. In this work,spectral analysis showed that no FRET appeared in water-soluble QDs modified by amphiphilic polymer. The immunofluorescence in vitro indicated that the QDs-IgGs bioconjugates had excellent species-specific detection ability with nearly non-specific binding. | 2 | Thermal simulation experiment of organic matter-rich shale and implication for organic pore formation and evolution显示文摘A thermal simulation experiment of diagenesis,hydrocarbon generation and evolution of the organic matter-rich shale was carried out to investigate formation and evolution of organic pores under the constraint from immature,low mature,mature,high mature to overmature geological conditions.The argon ion polishingefield emission scanning electron microscope was used to analyze microscopic features of original samples and simulated samples of various evolution stages.Results showed organic pores could be formed during hydrocarbon generation from biochemical and hypothermal processes in the immature and low mature stages,and the shale shallow-buried depth might be favorable for preservation of organic pores;the generation and evolution of organic pores were of heterogeneity,and the maturity was not a decisive factor which controlled formation and development of organic pores,while the difference in physiochemical structure of organic matter played an important role in formation and evolution of organic pores;the organic pore development was obviously related with the retained oil,and the organic pores formed in the oil generation stage were easily filled by pyrolysis asphalt;organic contraction fractures/organic marginal pores might be important storage spaces for shale gas occurrence,and their development was mainly controlled by the physiochemical structure and evolution degree of organic matters when the chemical adsorbed organic matter was converted into the physical adsorbed organic matter and the free organic matter. | Zhongliang Ma Lunju Zheng Xuhui Xu Fang Bao Xiaolu Yu | 2017 | Petroleum Research2017,2,4: | 4 |
| 3 | Conditional inversion to estimate parameters from eddy-flux observations显示文摘Aims Data assimilation is a useful tool to extract information from large datasets of the net ecosystem exchange(NEE)of CO_(2) obtained by eddy-flux measurements.However,the number of parameters in ecosystem models that can be constrained by eddy-flux data is limited by conventional inverse analysis that estimates parameter values based on one-time inversion.This study aimed to improve data assimilation to increase the number of constrained parameters.Methods In this study,we developed conditional Bayesian inversion to maximize the number of parameters to be constrained by NEE data in several steps.In each step,we conducted a Bayesian inversion to constrain parameters.The maximum likelihood estimates of the constrained parameters were then used as prior to fix parameter values in the next step of inversion.The conditional inversion was repeated until there were no more parameters that could be further constrained.We applied the conditional inversion to hourly NEE data from Harvard Forest with a physiologically based ecosystem model.Important Findings Results showed that the conventional inversion method constrained 6 of 16 parameters in the model while the conditional inversion method constrained 13 parameters after six steps.The cost function that indicates mismatch between the modeled and observed data decreased with each step of conditional Bayesian inversion.The Bayesian information criterion also decreased,suggesting reduced information loss with each step of conditional Bayesian inversion.A wavelet analysis reflected that model performance under conditional Bayesian inversion was better than that under conventional inversion at multiple time scales,except for seasonal and half-yearly scales.In addition,our analysis also demonstrated that parameter convergence in a subsequent step of the conditional inversion depended on correlations with the parameters constrained in a previous step.Overall,the conditional Bayesian inversion substantially increased the number of parameters to be constrained by NEE data and can be a powerful tool to be used in data assimilation in ecology. | Xiaowen Wu Yiqi Luo Ensheng Weng Luther White Yong Ma Xuhui Zhou | 2009 | Journal of Plant Ecology2009,2,2: | 3 |
| 4 | Sign series entropy analysis of short-term heart rate variability显示文摘Complexity and nonlinearity approaches can be used to study the temporal and structural order in heart rate variability (HRV) signal, which is helpful for understanding the underlying rule and physiological essence of cardiovascular regulation. For clinical applications, methods suitable for short-term HRV analysis are more valuable. In this paper, sign series entropy analysis (SSEA) is proposed to characterize the feature of direction variation of HRV. The results show that SSEA method can detect sensitively physiological and pathological changes from short-term HRV signals, and the method also shows its robustness to nonstationarity and noise. | 5 | Ultra-high sensitivity of rhodamine B sensing based on NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 core-shell upconversion nanoparticles显示文摘A series of mono-dispersed hexagon NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 core-shell nanoparticles with different shell thickness were synthesized via a co-precipitation method. Nanoparticles with high upconversion fluorescent emissions result in large signal-to-noise ratio, which guarantees the accuracy of the sensitivity. Besides, the maximum sensitivity of these NPs as detection film increases first and then decreases with the shell thickness increasing. When the shell thickness is 2.3 nm(NaGdF_4-2), the maximum sensitivity(0.69959 ppm^(-1)) is reached. A large degree of overlap between the rhodamine B absorption band and the Er^(3+) green emission bands ensures that the NaGdF_4:Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)@NaGdF_4 nanoparticles can be used as fluorescent probe to detect the concentration of rhodamine B based on fluorescent intensity ratio technology. The linear relationship between the rhodamine B concentration and the intensity ratio(R) of green and red emission intensity(I_(S+H) and I_F) were studied systematically. The result shows that the maximum sensitivity can be obtained in low concentration rhodamine B(<4 ppm), which is lower than the reported minimum detection concentration. | 7 | Effects of brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation on biomechanical properties of adult brachial plexus显示文摘BACKGROUND:Previous studies of peripheral nerve mechanical properties in animals have utilized one-dimensional drawing methods. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the effects of brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation on biomechanical properties of adult brachial plexus by observing tensile mechanical properties,stress relaxation,and creep deformation of the brachial plexus in normal human cadavers and brachial plexus from simulated brachial plexus injury anastomosis samples. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The in vitro experiment was performed at the Mechanics Experimental Center,Jilin University,China from April to May 2007. MATERIALS:A total of six adult,male cadavers,who had died from acute trauma,and were aged 20-29 years,were supplied by the Research Room of Anatomy,Medical Department,Jilin University,China. AG-10TA Universal Material Testing Machine (Shimadzu,Japan) was used in this study. METHODS:A total of 36 samples of fresh brachial plexus were collected from the cadavers,comprising 12 C5 nerve roots,12 C6 nerve roots at the left and right sides of the superior truck,and 12 C7 nerve roots at the middle truck. The C5 and C6 nerve roots were processed into 50 samples and the C7 nerve roots into 24 samples. A total of 36 C5 and C6 nerve root samples were randomly assigned to a non-surgery control group (n = 18) and brachial plexus injury anastomosis simulation group (n = 18). Brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis samples underwent an incision in the middle,and then received anastomosis. Samples in both groups underwent a tension test at 5 mm/min on the AG-10TA universal material testing machine. A total of 24 sam-ples from the C6 superior trunk and C7 middle trunk of the brachial plexus were subjected to stress relaxation and creep tests. Test duration was 7 200 seconds. A total of 100 data points were collected and analyzed using a normalization method. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The following parameters were measured:tension maximum displacement,maximum load,maximum stress,maximum strain and stress-strain curve,stress relaxation at 7 200 seconds,creep deformation at 7 200 seconds,stress relaxation,and creep curve in the non-surgery control group and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group. RESULTS:The tension maximum load of brachial plexus was (140.36 ± 30.50) N,maximum stress was (10.67 ± 2.52) MPa,maximum displacement was (7.78 ± 1.48) mm,and maximum strain was (31.64 ± 5.32)% in the non-surgery control group. The tension maximum load of brachial plexus was (93.23 ± 20.65) N,maximum stress was (7.09 ± 1.57) MPa,maximum displacement was (6.13 ± 0.86) mm,and maximum strain was (24.55 ± 3.45)% in the brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group. The above-mentioned indices were greater in the non-surgery control group than in the brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis group (P < 0.01). Stress relaxation at 7 200 seconds was 2.07 MPa and 2.11 MPa,respectively,in the non-surgery control and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis groups. Creep deformation at 7 200 seconds was 4.68% and 3.52%,respectively,in the non-surgery control and brachial plexus injury simulation anastomosis groups. | 18 | Fabrication and photoluminescence characteristics of novel red-emitting Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)double-perovskite phosphors on near UV WLEDs显示文摘Red emitting phosphors play a significant role in accelerating the improvement of illumination quality for white light emitting diodes(WLEDs).In this work,by using solid-state reaction method,an efficient novel Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphor with double-perovskite structure was successfully prepared.Here,a series of Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)red phosphors can be efficiently pumped by the near-ultraviolet(UV)light and then present high-brightness at orange emission(598 nm,~5D_(0)→~7 F_(1))and red emission(610 nm,~5D_(0)→~7 F_(2)).The ratio values of 610 to 598 nm in Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors exceed 1 when the content of Eu^(3+)is larger than 0.4 mol,because the occupation of Eu^(3+)ions is changed from Lu^(3+)ions with symmetric sites to Ba^(2+)ions with asymmetric sites.Besides,the optimized concentration of Eu^(3+)at the~5D_(0)→~7 F_(2)transitions is obtained when x=1,indicating that there is non-concentration quenching in Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors.Moreover,the CIE chromaticity coordinates of Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)was calculated to be(0.587,0.361),the color purity was calculated to be 72.26%and internal quenching efficiency(IQE)was measured to be 67%.Finally,the thermal stability of Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors was also studied.Our work demonstrates that the novel double-perovskite red-emitting Ba_(2)LuNbO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors are prospective red emitting elements for WLEDs applications. | Haihong Guo Ting Wang Bitao Liu Wei Gao Liang Xiu Zhenen Cui Hao Zhang Qianrui Ma Shaoqing Wang Ziyang Li Longchao Guo Guilong Yan Siufung Yu Xue Yu Xuhui Xu Jianbei Qiu | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,8: | 0 |
| 19 | Identification of anthelmintic parbendazole as a therapeutic molecule for HNSCC through connectivity map-based drug repositioning显示文摘Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC) is one of the most common human cancers;however, its outcome of pharmacotherapy is always very limited. Herein, we performed a batch query in the connectivity map(cMap) based on bioinformatics, queried out 35 compounds with therapeutic potential, and screened out parbendazole as a most promising compound, which had an excellent inhibitory effect on the proliferation of HNSCC cell lines. In addition, tubulin was identified as a primary target of parbendazole, and the direct binding between them was further verified. Parbendazole was further proved as an effective tubulin polymerization inhibitor, which can block the cell cycle, cause apoptosis and prevent cell migration, and it exhibited reasonable therapeutic effect and low toxicity in the in vivo and in vitro anti-tumor evaluation.
