1Passive-source ocean bottom seismograph(OBS) array experiment in South China Sea and data quality analyses显示文摘Long-term passive source ocean bottom seismograph(OBS) observatory is challenging due to various technical difficulties. In order to gain experience in this field, and to reveal the lithospheric structure beneath the extinct ridge in the central South China Sea(SCS), we carried out a passive source OBS array experiment, which includes 18 OBSs, in the deep portion of SCS. Here we present the instrumentation, the OBS deployment and recovery of this experiment, and more importantly, the data quality evaluated by a number of approaches. Through processing and inspecting waveforms from global, regional and local earthquakes, we find that most of recovered OBSs have good data quality with discernible main phases. The ambient noise analyses of OBS recordings show that their noise is higher than the global average, and the horizontal component is noisier than the vertical, indicating current impacts on horizontal components are more severe. In the period range of 5–10 s, there is a noise notch for the SCS OBSs, and noise levels of horizontal components are comparable to the vertical. This feature, which is not seen at OBS stations in open ocean, suggests the distant sources for double frequency microseism in this marginal sea are not significant. In addition, we successfully determined the orientations for 7 OBSs by investigating their Rayleigh wave polarizations; and we demonstrated the dispersion feature of Rayleigh waves through the frequency-time analysis. 4Cordycepin protects renal ischemia/reperfusion injury through regulating inflammation,apoptosis,and oxidative stress显示文摘Cordycepin(3-deoxyadenosine)is a naturally occurring adenosine analog and one of the bioactive constituents isolated from Cordyceps sinensis,species of the fungal genus Cordyceps.It has traditionally been a prized Chinese folk medicine for the human well-being.However,the actions of cordycepin against renal ischemia/reperfusion injury(/R)are still unknown.In the present study,rats were subject to VR and cordycepin was intragastrically administered for seven consecutive days before surgery to investigate the effects and mechanisms of cordycepin against renal/R injury.The test results of kidney and peripheral blood samples of experimental animals showed that cordycepin significantly decreased serum blood urea nitrogen and creatinine levels and markedly attenuated cell injury.Mechanistic studies showed that cordycepin significantly regulated inflammation,apoptosis,and oxidative stress.These data provide new insights for investigating the natural product with the nephroprotective effect against I/R,which should be developed as a new therapeutic agent for the treatment of I/R in the future.Feng Han Meng Dou Yuxiang Wang Cuixiang Xu Yang Li Xiaoming Ding Wujun Xue Jin Zheng Puxun Tian Chenguang Ding 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:9
5Effect of preparation method on the bimetallic NiCu/SAPO-11 catalysts for the hydroisomerization of n-octane显示文摘The bimetallic NiCu/SAPO-11 catalysts were prepared by co-impregnation, sequential impregnation, coprecipitation, and mechanical mixing methods. Powder X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption,temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia, transmission electron microscopy, temperatureprogrammed reduction of hydrogen, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to characterize the physicochemical properties of the catalysts. The catalytic performance of the catalysts was assessed by the hydroisomerization of n-octane. Results indicated that the conversion of n-octane and selectivity to n-octane isomers were related to the preparation methods of the catalysts. The catalysts with Ni-Cu alloy effectively restrained the hydrogenolysis reaction that decreases the selectivity of isomerization. The catalyst prepared by the mechanical mixing of NiO and CuO hardly formed Ni-Cu alloy, showing obvious hydrogenolysis and low selectivity to n-octane isomers. The unbalance between the metal and acid sites resulted in the low conversion of n-octane and selectivity to n-octane isomers. 6Elevated plasma levels of selective cytokines in COVID-19 patients reflect viral load and lung injury显示文摘A recent outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan,China was found to be caused by a 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV or SARS-CoV-2 or HCoV-19).We previously reported the clinical features of 12 patients with2019-n Co V infections in Shenzhen,China.To further understand the pathogenesis of COVID-19 and find better ways to monitor and treat the disease caused by 2019-n Co V,we measured the levels of 48 cytokines in the blood plasma of those 12 COVID-19 patients.Thirty-eight out of the 48 measured cytokines in the plasma of 2019-n Co V-infected patients were significantly elevated compared to healthy individuals.Seventeen cytokines were linked to 2019-nCoV loads.Fifteen cytokines,namely M-CSF,IL-10,IFN-α2,IL-17,IL-4,IP-10,IL-7,IL-1 ra,G-CSF,IL-12,IFN-γ,IL-1α,IL-2,HGF and PDGF-BB,were strongly associated with the lung-injury Murray score and could be used to predict the disease severity of2019-n Co V infections by calculating the area under the curve of the receiver-operating characteristics.Our results suggest that 2019-nCoV infections trigger extensive changes in a wide array of cytokines,some of which could be potential biomarkers of disease severity of 2019-n Co V infections.These findings will likely improve our understanding of the immunopathologic mechanisms of this emerging disease.Our results also suggest that modulators of cytokine responses may play a therapeutic role in combating the disease once the functions of these elevated cytokines have been characterized.Yingxia Liu Cong Zhang Fengming Huang Yang Yang Fuxiang Wang Jing Yuan Zheng Zhang Yuhao Qin Xiaoyun Li Dandan Zhao Shunwang Li Shuguang Tan Zhaoqin Wang Jinxiu Li Chenguang Shen Jianming Li Ling Peng Weibo Wu Mengli Cao Li Xing Zhixiang Xu Li Chen Congzhao Zhou William J Liu Lei Liu Chengyu Jiang 2020National Science Review2020,7,6:6
7Flavone Content and Bioactivity of Aqueous-Ethanolic Extracts of Phellinus Fruit Bodies显示文摘The flavone content of aqueous ethanolic extracts of Phellinus fruit bodies obtained from seven different locations was determined.Anti-tumor and antioxidant activities associated with the extracts were investigated in vitro using the Alamar Blue assay and a chemiluminecence-based method,respectively.Extracts of the seven Phellinus samples generated very similar HPLC profiles in qualitative terms although the areas of several peaks varied according to the sample type indicating quantitative differences in the case of some components.All the extracts,especially those of artificially cultivated Phellinus baumii fruit bodies,inhibited L1210 tumor cell proliferation and exhibited superoxide radical scavenging activity although there was no obvious correlation with flavone content.HAO Ruixia ZHOU Shuai YANG Yan XI Junzhe LI Weiyao TANG Qingjiu WANG Chenguang 2008食用菌学报2008,15,2:6
8The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 10miR-124/IRE-1α affects renal ischemia/reperfusion injury by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress in renal tubular epithelial cells显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)refers to a clinical syndrome that occurs as a result of a rapid decline in renal function caused by multiple factors.Renal ischemia/reperfusion(/R)injury is one of the main causes of AKI and has a high incidence and mortality,However,the specific pathogenesis of renal I/R injury is still unclear.In recent years,a major breakthrough has been made in the study of endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)-mediated apoptosis in I/R injury.It has been reported that miRNAs play protective roles in ischemic/reperfused organs,but the molecular mechanisms have not been investigated deeply.In this study,the renal VR mouse model was used to explore the roles of miR-124 in ERS and in renal I/R injury.The western blot results showed that the expression levels of ERS-related proteins IRE-1α,XBP-1,and glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78)were significantly increased in the IVR model group when compared with those in the control group.Meanwhile,qPCR results showed that miR-124 expression was decreased in the I/R injury model,and overexpression of miR-124 using miR-124 mimics effectively reduced the expression of ERS-related proteins and alleviated renal LR injury.In addition,luciferase reporter assay was performed,and the results showed that IRE 1αand miR-124 may have direct interaction.In conclusion,our data indicated that miR-124 was a negative regulator of ERS via binding to IRE-1α,ultimately conferring its protective effect on the kidney,which demonstrates the regulatory mechanism of miR-124 in renal I/R injury and provides new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of renal I/R injury.Chenguang Ding Meng Dou Yuxiang Wang Yang Li Ying Wang Jin Zheng Xiao Li Wujun Xue Xiaoming Ding Puxun Tian 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2:4
11Co-delivery of doxorubicin and paclitaxel with linear-dendritic block copolymer for enhanced anti-cancer efficacy显示文摘A series of well-defined amphiphilic linear-dendritic block copolymers(telodendrimers, MPEG-b-PAMAM-cholesterol) with 1,2,4 or 8 cholesteryl groups(named as P1, P2, P4, P8, respectively) were synthesized. Their chemical structures were characterized with 1H NMR and mass spectrum(MALDI-TOF MS). The telodendrimers could self-assemble into micelles in aqueous solution, and encapsulate chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin(DOX) and paclitaxel(PTX) for combination therapy. All the telodendrimers could encapsulate DOX with similar capability. However, their drug-loading capability of PTX is increased with the increasing number of cholesteryl groups. P8 exhibited much higher PTX loading efficiency than its counterparts. Thus, P8 was selected for further application of drug delivery in the paper. The drug-loading micellar nanoparticles(NPs) of P8 were spherical in shape and their diameters were less than 150 nm which were determined by dynamic light scattering measurements(DLS) and transmission electron microscope(TEM). In vitro drug release experiment demonstrated that P8 exhibited a controlled release manner for both DOX and PTX, and the two drugs were released simultaneously. In vitro cytotoxicity experiment further demonstrated that the co-delivery of DOX and PTX in P8 exhibited better anti-cancer efficiency than the delivery systems encapsulated with single drug(DOX or PTX). This indicates a synergistic effect. 12Stipa steppes in scantily explored regions of the tibetan Plateau:classification,community characteristics and climatic distribution patterns显示文摘Aims As a unique geographical unit of the earth,the tibetan Plateau is extensively covered by various Stipa communities.However,their vegetation features have not been reported systematically till now,especially in some scantily explored regions.In this study,we endeavor to reveal the community types,quantitative charac-teristics and climatic distribution patterns of Stipa steppes in these areas based on primary relevés obtained from fieldwork.Methods We collected a total of 223 plots in 79 study sites in the Changthang Plateau and the Yarlung Zangbo Valley,ranging from 79°E to 91°E.the categories of Stipa formations were identified according to the classification scheme in Vegetation of China and then verified by Nonmetric Multidimensional Scaling.We performed detrended correspondence analysis and detrended canonical correspondence analysis to hunt for the alteration of Stipa communities along the precipitation gradient.Quantitative characteristics including species richness,coverage,biomass as well as importance values(IV)of dominant species were calcu-lated and visualized,respectively.Important Findings Stipa steppes in scantily explored regions of the tibetan Plateau are classified into 11 formations but major formations are rather limited in number.Formation(form.)Stipa purpurea is the most widespread Stipa assemblages not only in scantily explored regions but also across the whole tibetan Plateau.the characteristics of Stipa com-munities,including coverage,species richness,productivity and IV of dominant species,demonstrate the features of typical alpine steppes on the tibetan Plateau.Precipitation proves to be the prime climatic factor controlling the distribution patterns of Stipa assemblages.Form.Stipa subsessiliflora var.basiplumosa and form.Stipa glareosa normally distribute in arid habitats,but rainfall for the former is of greater variance.Form.Stipa roborowskyi and form.Stipa capillacea favor moderately moist environment.Form.Stipa purpurea and form.Stipa roborowskyi can tolerate a fairly broad range of precipitation.Haiwei Zhao Ke Guo Yao Yang Changcheng Liu Liqing Zhao Xianguo Qiao Dongjie Hou Chenguang Gao 2018Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,4:4

14Effect of silicon precursor on silicon incorporation in SAPO-11 and their catalytic performance for hydroisomerization of n-octane on Pt-based catalysts显示文摘SAPO-11 molecular sieves were synthesized using silica sol, hydrophilic fumed silica, and tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) as silicon precursors. Their physicochemical properties were characterized using XRD,SEM, nitrogen adsorption-desorption, Py-IR, NH_3-TPD, EDS, and ^(27)Al,^(31)P,^(29)Si MAS NMR techniques. The catalytic performance was assessed in the hydroisomerization of n-octane. The results showed that the silicon precursors influenced the physicochemical properties and catalytic performance of SAPO-11. SAPO-11 synthesized using hydrophilic fumed silica as silicon precursor showed higher silicon distribution and had more medium acid sites. SAPO-11 synthesized using TEOS as silicon precursor had more silicon content, but more silicon islands formed in its framework. The depolymerization of silicon precursors might affect the silicon content and distribution in SAPO-11. 15Plasmonically engineered light-matter interactions in Aunanoparticle/MoS_(2) heterostructures for artificial optoelectronic synapse显示文摘Optoelectronic synaptic elements are emerging functional devices for the vigorous development of advanced neuromorphic computing technology in the post-Moore era.However,optoelectronic devices based on transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)are limited to their poor mobilities and weak light-matter interactions,which still hardly exhibit superior device performances in the application of artificial synapses.Here,we demonstrate the successful fabrication of Au nanoparticle-coupled MoS_(2)heterostructures via chemical vapor deposition(CVD),where the light absorption of MoS_(2)is greatly enhanced and engineered by plasmonic effects.Hot electrons are excited from Au nanoparticles,and then injected into MoS_(2)semiconductors under the light illumination.The plasmonically-engineered photo-gating effect at the metal-semiconductor junction is demonstrated to create optoelectronic devices with excellent synaptic behaviors,especially in ultra-sensitive excitatory postsynaptic current(EPSC,9.6×10^(-3)nA@3.4 nW·cm^(-2)),ultralow energy consumption(34.7 pJ),long-state retention time(>1,000 s),and tunable synaptic plasticity transitions.The material system of Au-nanoparticles coupled TMDs presents unique advantages for building artificial synapses,which may lead the future development of neuromorphic electronics in optical information sensing and learning.Zhuoran Luo Yunfei Xie Ziwei Li Yajuan Wang Lihui Li Ziyu Luo Chenguang Zhu Xin Yang Ming Huang Jianhua Huang Delang Liang Xiaoli Zhu Dong Li Anlian Pan 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:3
16Iterative assist-as-needed control with interaction factor for rehabilitation robots显示文摘Rehabilitation robots for stroke patients have drawn considerable attention because they can reduce the economic and labor costs brought by traditional rehabilitation. Control methods for rehabilitation robots have been developed to stimulate the active motion of patients and to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation care. However, current control methods can only roughly adjust the system’s stiffness and may fail in achieving satisfactory performance. To this end, this paper introduces a novel cost function consisting of the tracking error term and the stiffness term. The cost function contains an interaction factor that represents the patient’s motion intention to balance the weight of these two terms. When the patients try to actively do training tasks, the weight of stiffness term increases, which leads to the larger allowable tracking error and lower stiffness eventually. An iterative updating law of the stiffness matrix is given to reduce the proposed cost function. Theoretical analysis based on the Lyapunov theory is given to ensure the feasibility of the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, a force estimation is used to improve interaction control performance. 17A Visual-Based Gesture Prediction Framework Applied in Social Robots显示文摘In daily life,people use their hands in various ways for most daily activities.There are many applications based on the position,direction,and joints of the hand,including gesture recognition,gesture prediction,robotics and so on.This paper proposes a gesture prediction system that uses hand joint coordinate features collected by the Leap Motion to predict dynamic hand gestures.The model is applied to the NAO robot to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.First of all,in order to reduce jitter or jump generated in the process of data acquisition by the Leap Motion,the Kalman filter is applied to the original data.Then some new feature descriptors are introduced.The length feature,angle feature and angular velocity feature are extracted from the filtered data.These features are fed into the long-short time memory recurrent neural network(LSTM-RNN)with different combinations.Experimental results show that the combination of coordinate,length and angle features achieves the highest accuracy of 99.31%,and it can also run in real time.Finally,the trained model is applied to the NAO robot to play the finger-guessing game.Based on the predicted gesture,the NAO robot can respond in advance.Bixiao Wu Junpei Zhong Chenguang Yang 2022IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2022,9,3:2
18Dynamic tensile and failure behavior of bi-directional reinforced GFRP materials显示文摘In this paper,a series of static/dynamic tensile tests are performed for glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP)composites.Using the combination of high-speed photography and digital image correlation(DIC)technology,true stress-strain curves in different directions and strain rates are obtained.We also obtained the dynamic failure strain of the material in different directions,which are used to accurately describe the dynamic tensile and failure behavior of the material.The experimental results show that there is a stiffness change point N in three directions under different strain rate(10-3 s-1,10 s-1,100 s-1)tensile conditions.The stiffness before and after N point is recorded as Einitial and Echanged respectively.The values of Echanged in weft direction and warp direction are about 30%to 50%of Einitial,while Echanged in tilt direction is only about 10%of Einitial.The fiber has the highest strength in the weft direction and the tilt direction has the lowest strength.With the combination of high-speed photography and DIC technology,the dynamic failure parameters of different directions under the strain rate of 100 s-1 are obtained.The dynamic failure strains in three directions are 0.245,0.373 and 0.341,respectively.The parameters are verified by impact three-point bending test.These works can more accurately describe the dynamic mechanical behavior of glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP)composites and provide reference for the design of GFRP structures.Zishang Liu Zhe Yang Yuchao Chen Yangyang Yu Yanpeng Wei Maohui Li Chenguang Huang 2020Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,2:2

20Dynamic experimental studies of a6n01s-t5 aluminum alloy material and structure for high-speed train显示文摘In this study, we focus on the dynamic failure property of A6N01S-T5 aluminum alloyusing for high-speed train. The method of SHBT+3D DIC was put forward to figure out the dynamic mechanical properties and dynamic failure strain of A6N01S-T5 aluminum alloy,and on the basis of this, Johnson-Cook model constitutive parameters and dynamic failure strain parameters were obtained through a series of static and dynamic tests.An important character of this methodwas that the sandwich structure from the true high-speed train was used in penetration test,followed by the numerical calculation of the same working condition using LS-DYNA.Then we compare the experimental results with simulation results mentioned above in terms of failure morphology in structure and the bullet speed throughout the entire process to verifythe accuracyof the parameter.
