1BRIF and CARIF progress显示文摘China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) is currently constructing Beijing rare ion beam facility (BRIF) and is proposing China advanced rare ion beam facility (CARIF). This paper is aiming at introducing the progress of BRIF project and the con ceptual design CARIF. The ISOL type facility BRIF under construction is composed of a 100 MeV 300 ?A proton cyclotron, an ISOL with mass resolution of 20000, and a super-conducting LINAC of 2 MeV/q, and will be commissioned in 2013. CARIF facility proposed is planned to use both ISOL and PF techniques. It is based on a China advanced research reactor CARR that was critical, with ISOL separation of fission fragment, post acceleration to 150 MeV/u, and fragmentation of neu tron-rich fission fragment beam like 132Sn. 4Effect of Zusanli(ST 36) moxibustion on rat mesenteric microvascular system显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of moxibustion on Zusanli(ST 36) on visceral-mesenteric vesselsbyobservingcirculation.METHODS: Forty-five SD rats were randomly assigned to a moxibustion, electroacupuncture(EA),and blank group. In the moxibustion group, heat stimulation of moxibustion to the Zusanli(ST36)area of normal rats was performed for 15 min. In the EA group, needles were inserted into the Zusanli(ST36)and later alpoint[0.5 cm lateral from Zusanli(ST 36)] for 15 min. The blank group was not given any treatment. We continuously monitored mesenteric microvascular changes with invivo microscopicvideo.RESULTS:Moxibustion and EA to Zusanli(ST 36) increase the diameter of mesenteric arterioles and venules(P<0.05). There were no obvious changes in the blank group. Fine arterial diameter peaked at12 min in the moxibustion group, while it peaked at15 min in the EA group.CONCLUSION:The stimulation of moxibustion and acupuncture to Zusanli(ST 36) has immediate effects on expanding the microvasculature. 5The Pumilio RNA-binding protein APUM24 regulates seed maturation by fine-tuning the BPM-WRI1 module in Arabidopsis显示文摘Pumilio RNAbindingproteinsparticipateinmes-senger RNA(mRNA)degradation and t ranslational repression,but their roles in plant development are largely unclear.Here,we show that Arabidopsis PUMILIO PROTEIN24(APUM24),an atypical Pumiliohomology domaincontaining protein,plays an im-portant part in regulating seed maturation,a major stage of plant development.APUM24 is strongly expressed in maturing seeds.Reducing APUM24 expression resulted in abnormal seed maturation,wrinkled seeds,and lower seed oil contents,and APUM24 knockdown resulted in lower levels of WRINKLED 1(WRI1),a key transcription factor con-trolling seed oil accumulation,and lower expression of WRI1 target genes.APUM24 reduces the mRNA stability of BTB/POZMATH(BPM)family genes,thus decreasing BPM protein levels.BPM is responsible for the 26S proteasomemediated degradation of WRI1 and has important functions in plant growth and development.The 3′untranslated regions of BPM family genes contain putative Pumilio response elements(PREs),which are bound by APUM24.Re-duced BPM or increased WRI1 expression rescued the decient seed maturation of apum242 knock-down mutants,and APUM24 overexpression re-sulted in increased seed size and weight.Therefore,APUM24 is crucial to seed maturation through its action as a positive regulatornetuning the BPMWRI1 module,making APUM24 apromising target for breeding strategies to increase crop yields.Ruihua Huang Mengling Liu Guanping Gong Pingzhi Wu Barunava Patra Ling Yuan Hongting Qin Xiaoxu Wang Guohe Wang Huimei Liao Lu Gao Chengwei Yang Hongqing Li Shengchun Zhang 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,7:2
6One-pot synthesis of arginine modified hydroxyapatite carbon microsphere composites for efficient removal of U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions显示文摘Uranium was not only the main source of nuclear energy but also one of the long-lived radionuclide.Herein, a novel arginine modified hydroxyapatite carbon microsphere composites(defined as C@HAp/Arg) obtained promptly via a one-step mild hydrothermal method, was applied to remove U(Ⅵ) from aqueous solutions. Based on the characterization of transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), the synthesized C@HAp/Arg presented globular morphology and abundant functional groups(e.g., —COO^-), which were beneficial to its combination with U(Ⅵ). The interaction mechanism and removal capability of U(Ⅵ) on C@HAp/Arg were studied by batch adsorption technique and spectroscopy analysis. The results implied that U(Ⅵ) can form strong surface complexes on C@HAp/Arg. The kinetics adsorption of U(Ⅵ) followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model with high removal efficiency($95% within 5h at pH 5.0). The adsorption isotherms were well fitted by Langmuir model, implying that U(Ⅵ) uptake on C@HAp/Arg was monolayer coverage. It was found that the maximum adsorption capacities of CSs, C@HAp and C@HAp/Arg toward U(Ⅵ) were calculated to be 23.16,72.09 and 569.66 mg/g, respectively, at 298.15 K and pH 5.0, and thermodynamic parameters revealed that the adsorption processes of U(Ⅵ) were spontaneous and endothermic. In addition, effect of co-existed ions and CO_3^(2-)concentrations demonstrated that U(Ⅵ) adsorption on C@HAp/Arg was weakly interfered by foreign ions and carbonate concentrations. More importantly, the adsorption performance of U(Ⅵ) on C@HAp/Arg was still over $87% after five cycles. 7Sphingosine kinase 1 promotes growth of glioblastoma by increasing inflammation mediated by the NF-κB/IL-6/STAT3 and JNK/PTX3 pathways显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is the most challenging malignant tumor of the central nervous system because of its high morbidity,mortality,and recurrence rate.Currently,mechanisms of GBM are still unclear and there is no effective drug for GBM in the clinic.Therefore,it is urgent to identify new drug targets and corresponding drugs for GBM.In this study,in silico analyses and experimental data show that sphingosine kinase 1(SPHK1)is up-regulated in GBM patients,and is strongly correlated with poor prognosis and reduced overall survival.Overexpression of SPHK1 promoted the proliferation,invasion,metastasis,and clonogenicity of GBM cells,while silencing SPHK1 had the opposite effect.SPHK1 promoted inflammation through the NF-κB/IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway and led to the phosphorylation of JNK,activating the JNK-JUN and JNK-ATF3 pathways and promoting inflammation and proliferation of GBM cells by transcriptional activation of PTX3.SPHK1 interacted with PTX3 and formed a positive feedback loop to reciprocally increase expression,promote inflammation and GBM growth.Inhibition of SPHK1 by the inhibitor,PF543,also decreased tumorigenesis in the U87-MG and U251-MG SPHK1 orthotopic mouse models.In summary,we have characterized the role and molecular mechanisms by which SPHK1 promotes GBM,which may provide opportunities for SPHK1-targeted therapy.Wan Li Hongqing Cai Liwen Ren Yihui Yang Hong Yang Jinyi Liu Sha Li Yizhi Zhang Xiangjin Zheng Wei Tan Guanhua Du Jinhua Wang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12:2

10Hydrogen production via autothermal reforming of ethanol over noble metal catalysts supported on oxides显示文摘Hydrogen was produced over noble metal (Ir, Ru, Rh, Pd) catalysts supported on various oxides, including γ-Al2O3, CeO2, ZrO2 and La2O3, via the autothermal reforming reaction of ethanol (ATRE) and oxidative reforming reaction of ethanol (OSRE). The conversion of ethanol and selectivites for hydrogen and byproducts such as methane, ethylene and acetaldehyde were studied. It was found that lanthana alone possessed considerable activity for the ATRE reaction, which could be used as a functional support for ATRE catalysts. It was demonstrated that Ir/La2O3 prevented the formation of methane, and Rh/La2O3 encumbered the production of ethylene and acetaldehyde. ATRE reaction was carried out over La2O3-supported catalysts (Ir/La2O3) with good stability on stream, high conversion, and excellent hydrogen selectivity approaching thermodynamic limit under autothermal condition. Typically, 3.4 H2 molecules can be extracted from a pair of ethanol and water molecules over Ir(5wt%)/La2O3. 12MiR-378a-3p acts as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer via directly targeting RAB31 and inhibiting the Hedgehog pathway proteins GLI1/2显示文摘Objective:To improve the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer(GC),more effective therapeutic targets are urgently needed.Increasing evidence indicates that miRNAs are involved in the progression of various tumors,and RAS-associated protein in the brain 31(RAB31)is upregulated and promotes the progression of multiple malignant tumors.Here,we focused on identifying RAB31-targeted miRNAs and elucidating their potential mechanism in the progression of GC.Methods:RAB31 and miR-378a-3p expression levels were detected in paired fresh GC tissues and GC cell lines.Bioinformatics analysis was used to predict the miRNAs targeting RAB31 and the relationships between RAB31 and other genes.Dual-luciferase reporter assays were applied to verify the targeted interaction relationship.CCK-8,colony formation,flow cytometry,wound healing,and Transwell assays were performed to assess the proliferation,apoptosis,migration,and invasion of GC cells.Tumorsphere formation assays were performed to assess the stemness of gastric cancer stem cells.Related proteins were detected by Western blot.Xenograft assays in nude mice were performed to explore the effect of miR-378a-3p in vivo.Results:We report the first evidence that miR-378a-3p is downregulated in GC,whereas its overexpression inhibits proliferation,invasion,and migration as well as promotes apoptosis in GC cells.Mechanistically,miR-378a-3p inhibits the progression of GC by directly targeting RAB31.Restoring RAB31 expression partially offsets the inhibitory effect of miR-378a-3p.Further research revealed that miR-378a-3p inhibits GLI1/2 in the Hedgehog signaling pathway and attenuates the stemness of gastric cancer stem cells.Finally,xenograft assays showed that miR-378a-3p inhibits GC tumorigenesis in vivo.Conclusions:MiR-378a-3p inhibits GC progression by directly targeting RAB31 and inhibiting the Hedgehog signaling pathway proteins GLI1/2.Xinxin Xu Yang Li Guoxiao Liu Kai Li Peng Chen Yunhe Gao Wenquan Liang Hongqing Xi Xinxin Wang Bo Wei Hongtao Li Lin Chen 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,12:1

14SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A NOVEL BLUE LIGHT EMITTING ROD-COIL DIBLOCK OLIGOMER显示文摘Four new rod-coil diblock molecules, which had well-defined para-phenylene oligomers (PPP, from biphenyl to quinquephenyl) as rigid segments and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO, Mw ca. 750) as flexible segments, were synthesized. The chemical structure and the number of repeating unit in PEO coil and PPP rod were characterized by 1H-NMR and MALDITOF mass spectrometry. The diblock oligomers showed good solubility in common organic solvents and aggregated in water as characterized by a blue shift in UV-vis absorption spectra, a red shift in emission spectra, quenching of the fluorescence and formation of the microfibrilla and fractal-like structures. 15Whole-genome resequencing of the wheat A subgenome progenitor Triticum urartu provides insights into its demographic history and geographic adaptation显示文摘Triticum urartu is the progenitor of the A subgenome in tetraploid and hexaploid wheat.Uncovering the landscape of genetic variations in T.urartu will help us understand the evolutionary and polyploid characteristics of wheat.Here,we investigated the population genomics of T.urartu by genome-wide sequencing of 59 representative accessions collected around the world.A total of 42.2 million highquality single-nucleotide polymorphisms and 3 million insertions and deletions were obtained by mapping reads to the reference genome.The ancient T.urartu population experienced a significant reduction in effective population size(Ne)from3000000 to140000 and subsequently split into eastern Mediterranean coastal and Mesopotamian-Transcaucasian populations during the Younger Dryas period.A map of allelic drift paths displayed splits and mixtures between different geographic groups,and a strong genetic drift towards hexaploid wheat was also observed,indicating that the direct donor of the A subgenome originated from northwestern Syria.Genetic changes were revealed between the eastern Mediterranean coastal and Mesopotamian-Transcaucasian populations in genes orthologous to those regulating plant development and stress responses.A genome-wide association study identified two single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the exonic regions of the SEMI-DWARF 37 ortholog that corresponded to the different T.urartu ecotype groups.Our study provides novel insights into the origin and genetic legacy of the A subgenome in polyploid wheat and contributes a gene repertoire for genomicsenabled improvements in wheat breeding.Xin Wang Yafei Hu Weiming He Kang Yu Chi Zhang Yiwen Li Wenlong Yang Jiazhu Sun Xin Li Fengya Zheng Shengjun Zhou Lingrang Kong Hongqing Ling Shancen Zhao Dongcheng Liu Aimin Zhang 2022Plant Communications2022,3,5:1
