1The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 2High quality reference genome of drumstick tree(Moringa oleifera Lam.), a potential perennial crop显示文摘The drumstick tree(Moringa oleifera Lam.) is a perennial crop that has gained popularity in certain developing countries for its high-nutrition content and adaptability to arid and semi-arid environments. Here we report a high-quality draft genome sequence of M. oleifera. This assembly represents 91.78% of the estimated genome size and contains 19,465 protein-coding genes. Comparative genomic analysis between M. oleifera and related woody plant genomes helps clarify the general evolution of this species, while the identification of several species-specific gene families and positively selected genes in M. oleifera may help identify genes related to M. oleifera's high protein content, fast-growth, heat and stress tolerance. 4Two possible hydrothermal vents in the northern Okinawa Trough显示文摘As the Okinawa Trough is a back-arc basin in early spreading, modern submarine hydrothermal activity and minerallization have many characteristics which have aroused wide attention. Up to now, three well-known hydro-thermal venting areas are all located in the middle part of the trough. During two cruise investigations to map and sample the seafloor, numbers of Calyptogena sp. shells were dredged at two sites in the northern trough with comparatively thicker crust and numerous submarine volcanoes. Based on the fact that Calyptogena sp. is only observed around the hydrothermal vents and lives on hydrothermal activities, it is predicted that there is the possibility of modern hydrothermal activities in the northern part of the trough. In this note, the shell is carefully characterized and the sample locations with possible hydrothermal activity are given. 6Synthesis, DNA-binding and photocleavage studies of ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes [Ru(btz)_3]^(2+) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)_2]^(2+)显示文摘Two new ruthenium(Ⅱ) complexes, [Ru(btz)3](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ru(btz)(dppz)2](ClO4)2 (2) (btz = 4,4′-bithi-azole, dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, ES-MS and X-ray crystallography. The DNA binding behaviors of two complexes have been studied by spectroscopic and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that complex 1 binds to CT-DNA via an electrostatic mode, while complex 2 via an intercalative mode. Under irradiation at 365 nm, both complexes were found to promote the cleavage of plasmid pBR 322 DNA from supercoiled form Ⅰ to nicked form Ⅱ. 7Effect of cooling pad installation on indoor airflow distribution in a tunnel-ventilated laying-hen house显示文摘Extra cooling pads on the sidewalls are needed for larger poultry houses using tunnel ventilation system.Preliminary study showed that the airflow velocity going through different aisles varies greatly when the extra pads are installed at the end of sidewalls,making a“[”-shape air inlet.Combined with field tests,the CFD(computational fluid dynamics)technology was used to study the uniformity of airflow distribution in a tunnel-ventilated laying-hen house.The air distribution was first monitored in a layer house to find the main reason resulting in the variations of airflows in different aisles.Then CFD simulations were carried out with different distances(D=2 m,3 m or 4 m)between the pads on end-wall and the extra pads on side walls.The field test showed that airflow streams from the different groups of cooling pads collided vertically at the house corners,mixed with each other,then flew towards the center of the house.This was the main reason that the wind speed in the middle aisle was much higher than in other aisles,leaving large zones of lower ventilation in the aisles adjacent to the sidewalls.The results of CFD simulations indicated that air distributions could be significantly improved when the extra pieces of pads were moved away for an appropriate distance from the end coolingpads.As far as conventional poultry house with a span of 12 m,the air speeds in different aisles were more uniform when this distance was about 3 m.Hui Xue Zhu Qiang Ji-Qin Ni Li Baoming Shi Zhengxiang Zhao Shumei Wang Yu 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,4:4
8Microwave-assisted pyrolysis of vegetable oil soapstock:Comparative study of rapeseed,sunflower,corn,soybean,rice,and peanut oil soapstock显示文摘In this study,the effects of catalytic temperature and the type of soapstock on products from microwave-assisted pyrolysis were investigated.HZSM-5 was used as the catalyst to study the pyrolysis of six different soapstocks at 200℃,300℃,and 400℃ catalytic temperature.Results showed that the bio-oil yields initially increased and then decreased with the increase in catalytic temperature.When the catalytic temperature was 300℃,the bio-oil reached up to the maximum value(65.8 wt.%).Findings indicated that the composition of bio-oil was related to the degree of unsaturation of fatty acids sodium in the soapstocks.In the case of saturated fatty acid sodium,a series of alkanes was formed,whereas the pyrolysis of monounsaturated fatty acid sodium resulted mainly in cycloalkanes,the cycloalkenes obtained from bio-oil was produced by polyunsaturated fatty acid sodium.Yunpu Wang Shumei Zhang Qiuhao Wu Dengle Duan Yuhuan Liu Roger Ruan Guiming Fu Leilei Dai Lin Jiang Zhenting Yu Zihong Zeng Xiaojie Tian Xiuhua Yang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:3
9Dehydration Characteristics of C-S-H with Ca/Si Ratio 1.0 Prepared Via Precipitation显示文摘Calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-H) with Ca/Si ratio 1.0 was prepared via precipitation in solution and heated at various temperatures to investigate its dehydration behavior. The dehydration, structural collapse and recrystallization characteristics of C-S-H and its microstructural change during heating process were investigated by XRD, SEM, Raman and TG-DSC techniques. C-S-H gradually lost non-evaporable water upon heating, about 50% and 80% non-evaporable water was removed below 200 and 400 ℃, respectively, and the rest was removed up to about 1 000 ℃. At 400 ℃, dehydrated C-S-H exhibited the increasing disordering of calcium/silicon environment and the decreasing symmetrical bending vibration of Si-O-Si of Q^2 silicate chains. 10A Dynamic Distributed Spectrum Allocation Mechanism Based on Game Model in Fog Radio Access Networks显示文摘With the explosive growth of highspeed wireless data demand and the number of mobile devices, fog radio access networks(F-RAN) with multi-layer network structure becomes a hot topic in recent research. Meanwhile, due to the rapid growth of mobile communication traffic, high cost and the scarcity of wireless resources, it is especially important to develop an efficient radio resource management mechanism. In this paper, we focus on the shortcomings of resource waste, and we consider the actual situation of base station dynamic coverage and user requirements. We propose a spectrum pricing and allocation scheme based on Stackelberg game model under F-RAN framework, realizing the allocation of resource on demand. This scheme studies the double game between the users and the operators, as well as between the traditional operators and the virtual operators, maximizing the profits of the operators. At the same time, spectrum reuse technology is adopted to improve the utilization of network resource. 14Output Feedback Control of Networked Systems显示文摘This paper considers the problem of control of networked systems via output feedback. The controller consists of two parts: a state observer that estimates plant state from the output when it is available via the communication network, and a model of the plant that is used to generate a control signal when the plant output is not available from the network. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of the closed loop system are derived in terms of the networked dwell time and the system parameters. The results suggest simple procedures for designing the output feedback controller proposed. 19Adaptive delay-energy balanced partial offloading strategy in Mobile Edge Computing networks显示文摘Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)-based computation offloading is a promising application paradigm for serving large numbers of users with various delay and energy requirements.In this paper,we propose a flexible MECbased requirement-adaptive partial offloading model to accommodate each user's specific preference regarding delay and energy consumption.To address the dimensional differences between time and energy,we introduce two normalized parameters and then derive the computational overhead of processing tasks.Different from existing works,this paper considers practical variations in the user request patterns,and exploits a flexible partial offloading mode to minimize computation overheads subject to tolerable delay,task workload and power constraints.Since the resulting problem is non-convex,we decouple it into two convex subproblems and present an iterative algorithm to obtain a feasible offloading solution.Numerical experiments show that our proposed scheme achieves a significant improvement in computation overheads compared with existing schemes.Shumei Liu Yao Yu Lei Guo Phee Lep Yeoh Branka Vucetic Yonghui Li 2023Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,6:0
20Infection of wild-type mice by SARS-CoV-2 B.1.351 variant indicates a possible novel cross-species transmission route显示文摘COVID-19 is identified as a zoonotic disease caused by SARS-CoV-2,which also can cross・transmit to many animals but not mice.Genetic modifications of SARS-CoV-2 or mice enable the mice susceptible to viral infection.Although neither is the natural situation,they are currently utilized to establish mouse infection models.Here we report a direct contact transmission of SARS-CoV-2 variant B.1.351 in wild-type mice.The SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)re plicated efficiently and induced significant pathological changes in lungs and tracheas,accompanied by elevated proinflammatory cytokines in the lungs and sera.Mechanistically,the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)spike protein turned to a high binding affinity to mouse angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(mACE2),allowing the mice highly susceptible to SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)infection.Our work suggests that SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)expands the host range and therefore increases its transmission route without adapted mutation.As the wild house mice live with human populations quite closely,this possible transmission route could be potentially risky.In addition,because SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)is one of the major epidemic strains and the mACE2 in laboratory-used mice is naturally expressed and regulated,the SARS-CoV-2(B.1.351)/mice could be a much convenient animal model system to study COVID-19 pathogenesis and evaluate antiviral inhibitors and vaccines.Ting Pan Ran Chen Xin He Yaochang Yuan Xiaohui Deng Rong Li Haiping Yan Shumei Yan Jun Liu Yiwen Zhang Xiantao Zhang Fei Yu Mo Zhou Changwen Ke Xiancai Ma Hui Zhang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,1:0
