1Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 2The ultraviolet and blue luminescence properties of ZnO:Zn thin film显示文摘The ultraviolet (UV) and blue luminescence of Zn-rich zinc oxide thin film deposited by electron-beam evaporation have been investigated at room temperature (RT). We observed that the UV and blue electroluminescence (EL) emission band centered around 480 nm which is blue shifted in comparison with that of the ZnO thin film prepared by low pressure metal organic chemical vapor deposition (LP MOCVD). The UV emission is much stronger than blue emission in the photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The field-induced ionization of excited luminescent centers of ZnO:Zn thin film at high electric field and the difference between PL and EL are discussed. 3Textbook Outcome as a measure of surgical quality assessment and prognosis in gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma:A large multicenter sample analysis显示文摘Objective:Quality assurance is crucial for oncological surgical treatment assessment.For rare diseases,singlequality indicators are not enough.We aim to develop a comprehensive and reproducible measurement,called the'Textbook Outcome'(TO),to assess the quality of surgical treatment and prognosis of gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma(G-NEC)patients.Methods:Data from patients with primary diagnosed G-NEC included in 24 high-volume Chinese hospitals from October 2005 to September 2018 were analyzed.TO included receiving a curative resection,≥15 lymph nodes examined,no severe postoperative complications,hospital stay≤21 d,and no hospital readmission≤30 d after discharge.Hospital variation in TO was analyzed using a case mix-adjusted funnel plot.Prognostic factors of survival and risk factors for non-Textbook Outcome(non-TO)were analyzed using Cox and logistic models,respectively.Results:TO was achieved in 56.6%of 860 G-NEC patients.TO patients had better overall survival(OS),disease-free survival(DFS),and recurrence-free survival(RFS)than non-TO patients(P<0.05).Moreover,TO patients accounted for 60.3%of patients without recurrence.Multivariate Cox analysis revealed non-TO as an independent risk factor for OS,DFS,and RFS of G-NEC patients(P<0.05).Increasing TO rates were associated with improved OS for G-NEC patients,but not hospital volume.Multivariate logistic regression revealed that nonlower tumors,open surgery,and>200 mL blood loss were independent risk factors for non-TO patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:TO is strongly associated with multicenter surgical quality and prognosis for G-NEC patients.Factors predicting non-TO are identified,which may help guide strategies to optimize G-NEC outcomes.Qiyue Chen Zhongliang Ning Zhiyu Liu Yanbing Zhou Qingliang He Yantao Tian Hankun Hao Wei Lin Lixin Jiang Gang Zhao Ping Li Chaohui Zheng Changming Huang on behalf of the Study Group for Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumors 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4:2
4Orbital ordering and fluctuations in a kagome superconductor CsV_(3)Sb_(5)显示文摘Recently,competing electronic instabilities,including superconductivity and density-wave-like order,have been discovered in vanadium-based kagome metals AV_(3)Sb_(5)(A=K,Rb,Cs)with a nontrivial band topology.This finding stimulates considerable interest to study the interplay of these competing electronic orders and possible exotic excitations in the superconducting state.Here,we performed51V and133Cs nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)measurements on a CsV_(3)Sb_(5)single crystal to clarify the nature of density-wave-like transition in these kagome superconductors.A first-order structural transition is unambiguously revealed below T_(s)~94 K by observing the sudden splitting of Knight shift in^(51)V NMR spectrum.Moreover,combined with^(133)Cs NMR spectrum,the present result confirms a three-dimensional structural modulation.By further analyzing the anisotropy of Knight shift and 1/T_(1)T at^(51)V nuclei,we proposed that the orbital order is the primary electronic order induced by the firstorder structural transition,which is supported by further analysis on electric field gradient at^(51)V nuclei.In addition,the evidence for possible orbital fluctuations is also revealed above T_(s).The present work sheds light on a rich orbital physics in kagome superconductors AV_(3)Sb_(5).DianWu Song LiXuan Zheng FangHang Yu Jian Li LinPeng Nie Min Shan Dan Zhao ShunJiao Li BaoLei Kang ZhiMian Wu YanBing Zhou KuangLv Sun Kai Liu XiGang Luo ZhenYu Wang JianJun Ying XianGang Wan Tao Wu XianHui Chen 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,4:2
5Structural Characterization and Photocatalytic Activity of Synthesized Carbon Modified TiO2 for Phenol Degradation显示文摘To promote the photocatalytic performance TiO2 and enlarge its application in visible region, carbon doped TiO2 (C/TiO2) composites were synthesized by wet impregnation method using sucrose as a precursor and used for phenol photocatalytic reaction. The synthesized products were characterized by Nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis) techniques. The results showed that the obtained TiO2 was anatase phase in the C/TiO2 products, and its crystallite size was 11.7 nm, respectively. Carbon amount and calcined temperature of C/TiO2 can promote phenol removal. In this experiment, 5% carbon and 500 ℃ are the best choice for photocatalyst preparation. Under the UV light irradiation, 5%C/TiO2 (500 ℃, 2 h) exhibited the efficiency of 70.0% for phenol degradation within 150 min whereas TiO2 (500 ℃, 2 h) had 53.0% in the same duration of time. Also 5%C/TiO2 (500 ℃, 2 h) has higher photocatalytic performance under sunlight than pure TiO2. 8Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New Lanthanum(III) 4-Cyanobenzoate Complex显示文摘A new dinuclear La(III) complex [La2(4-cba)4[H(4-cba)2]2(phen)2(H2O)4] (4-Hcba = 4-cyanobenzoic acid and phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) 1 has been synthesized by solvothermal reaction in an ethanol/water mixed solution at 100 ℃ and structurally characterized by single- crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystallographic data: C88H58La2N12O20, Mr = 1881.28, triclinic P1, a = 7.518(3), b = 17.033(6), c = 17.551(6), α = 115.333(4), β = 92.9910(10), γ = 99.366(5)°, V = 1985.3(12)3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.574 g/cm3, F(000) = 944 μ = 1.145 mm–1, the final R = 0.0281 and wR = 0.0686 for 6708 reflections with I > 2σ(I). In 1, two nine-coordinated La(III) ions are connected by two 4-cba ligands in a syn-syn bidentate coordination mode, and the other six 4-cba ligands terminate the La(III) ions, resulting in an isolated dinuclear structure. Two different types of intramolecular hydrogen bonds, asymmetrical O-H…O and symmetrical O…H…O, exist in the crystal. The title complex molecules are connected through hydrogen bonds and weak π-π stacking interactions to generate a 2-D layered network. 9Influence of the electric field on carriers recombination zone in bilayer organic electroluminescent device显示文摘The electroluminescence (EL) of bilayer devices (ITO/Polymer/Alqa/AI) made from two PPV derivatives (MN-PPV and MEH-PPV), respectively, and the influence of the organic layers’ thickness on the characteristics of the device are investigated. Different spectra and variations are observed for different thicknesses of Alq3 layer in this bilayer organic light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as increasing applied bias. 13Magnetic-field-induced electronic instability of Weyl-like fermions in compressed black phosphorus显示文摘Revealing the role of Coulomb interaction in topological semimetals with Dirac/Weyl-like band dispersion shapes a new frontier in condensed matter physics.Topological node-line semimetals(TNLSMs),anticipated as a fertile ground for exploring electronic correlation effects due to the anisotropy associated with their node-line structure,have recently attracted considerable attention.In this study,we report an experimental observation for correlation effects in TNLSMs realized by black phosphorus(BP)under hydrostatic pressure.By performing a combination of nuclear magnetic resonance measurements and band calculations on compressed BP,a magnetic-field-induced electronic instability of Weyl-like fermions is identified under an external magnetic field parallel to the so-called nodal ring in the reciprocal space.Anomalous spin fluctuations serving as the fingerprint of electronic instability are observed at low temperatures,and they are observed to maximize at approximately 1.0 GPa.This study presents compressed BP as a realistic material platform for exploring the rich physics in strongly coupled Weyl-like fermions.Lixuan Zheng Kaifa Luo Zeliang Sun Dan Zhao Jian Li Dianwu Song Shunjiao Li Baolei Kang Linpeng Nie Min Shan Zhimian Wu Yanbing Zhou Xi Dai Hongming Weng Rui Yu Tao Wu Xianhui Chen 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,11:0
14A Molecular Phylogenetic Study of 10 Polytrichaceae Plants Using ISSR Markers显示文摘In this study,genomic DNA of 10 Polytrichaceae plants were successfully extracted with modified CTAB method to establish an appropriate PCR reaction system of Polytrichaceae. ISSR molecular markers were used to analyze the genetic diversity among 10 Polytrichaceae plants. According to the results,a total of 7ISSR primers were identified with polymorphism. By using the screened ISSR primers,59 bands were amplified,including 36 polymorphic bands,and the percentage of polymorphic bands( PPB) was 61. 02%. Based on the results of ISSR analysis,experimental materials were divided into two categories by UPGMA cluster analysis: Polytrichastrum longisetum( Sw. ex Brid.) G. Sm. was clustered into one category,and other nine Polytrichaceae plants were clustered into one category,which was basically similar to their taxonomic status. 15The immune-chemo-embolization effect of temperature sensitive gold nanomedicines against liver cancer显示文摘Although transcatheter arterial chemo-embolization(TACE)plays a key role on clinical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),it was greatly limited by the poor synergistic effect between chemotherapeutics and physical embolization to tumor-feeding arteries.In the present work,a temperature sensitive polymer poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-b-methacrylic acid)(PNA),which was modified with gold nanoparticles(AuNP@PNA),was successfully used to encapsulate doxorubicin(DOX)by electrostatic binding with their carboxyl groups.The resultant gold nanomedicines(AuNP@PNA/DOX)exhibited temperature responsive sol-gel phase transition,favorable shear thinning effect and X-ray angiography.By in vivo evaluation of vascular embolization on VX2-tumor-bearing rabbits,AuNP@PNA/DOX exhibited far better antitumor efficacy than Lipiodol/DOX,on either tumor growth inhibition,proliferation,apoptosis,necrosis or anti-metastasis.Owing to sufficient embolization to tumor vascular networks,AuNP@PNA/DOX down-regulated the expression levels of HIF-1α,VEGF and MMP-9,and prompted more efficient activation on CD3+/CD8+T cells and the related cytokines,suggesting the synergistic effect between AuNP@PNA and DOX on the improvement of post-operative tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment.With their favorable pharmcokinetics and biocompatibility,AuNP@PNA/DOX is promising to be developed as a multi-functional artery-imaging/embolic agent with immune-chemo-embolization for enhancing TACE efficacy on HCC.Yiming Liu Dingwen Shi Yanqiao Ren Ling Li Yanbing Zhao Chuansheng Zheng Xiangliang Yang 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
