| 2 | Fecal microbiota transplantation from young donor mice improves ovarian function in aged mice显示文摘Advanced maternal age is characterized by declines in the quantity and quality of oocytes in the ovaries,and the aging process is accompanied by changes in gut microbiota composition.However,little is known about the relationship between gut microbiota and ovarian aging.By using fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)to transplant material from young(5-week-old)into aged(42-week-old)mice,we find that the composition of gut microbiota in FMT-treated mice presents a“younger-like phenotype”and an increase of commensal bacteria,such as Bifidobacterium and Ruminococcaceae.Moreover,the FMT-treated mice show increased anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4 and decreased pro-inflammatory cytokine IFN-γ.Fertility tests for assessing ovarian function reveal that the first litter size of female FMT-treated mice is significantly higher than that of the non-FMT group.Morphology analysis demonstrates a dramatic decrease in follicle atresia and apoptosis as well as an increase in cellular proliferation in the ovaries of the FMT-treated mice.Our results also show that FMT improves the immune microenvironment in aged ovaries,with decreased macrophages and macrophage-derived multinucleated giant cells(MNGCs).These results suggest that FMT from young donors could be a good choice for delaying ovarian aging. | Li Xu Qiankun Zhang Xiaowei Dou Yipeng Wang Jianwei Wang Yong Zhou Xingyin Liu Jing Li | 2022 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,11: | 2 |
| 3 | Cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals for ultraviolet and blue light blocking显示文摘Using cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals, CsPb(Cl/Br)3, as a light absorber, we report a highly effective UV and blue light blocking film. The CsPb(Cl/Br)3 nanocrystals are well dispersed in the ethyl cellulose(EC) matrix to compose a UV and blue light shielding film, and the absorption edge of the film is tunable by adjusting Cl to Br ratio using anion exchange. The CsPbCl2 Br-EC film exhibits a transmittance of 5% at 459 nm, 90% at 478 nm and 95% in the range of 500–800 nm, which makes it excellent for UV and blue light shielding. In addition, the as-prepared EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 film shows excellent photostability under UV irradiation. | 5 | Landform classification based on optimal texture feature extraction from DEM data in Shandong Hilly Area, China显示文摘Texture and its analysis methods are crucial for image feature extraction and classification. Digital elevation model (DEM) is the most important data source of digital terrain analysis and landform classification, and considerable research values are gained from texture feature extraction and analysis from DEM data. In this research, on the basis of optimal texture feature extraction, the hilly area in Shandong, China, was selected as the study area, and DEM data with a resolution of 500 m were used as the experimental data for landform classification. First, second-order texture measures and texture image were extracted from DEM data by using a gray level cooccurrence matrix (GLCM). Second, the variation characteristics of each texture measure were analyzed, and the optimal feature parameters, such as direction, gray level, and texture window, were determined. Meanwhile, the texture feature value, combined with maximum information, was calculated, and the multiband texture image was obtained by resolving three optimal texture measure images. Finally, a support vector machine (SVM) method was adopted to classify landforms on the basis of the multiband texture image. Results indicated that the texture features of DEM data can be sufficiently represented and measured via the quantitative GLCM method. However, the feature parameters during the texture feature value calculation required further optimization. | 6 | Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of the Xilin Group: Constraints for the Early Paleozoic Tectonic Evolution of the Songliao Massif显示文摘The Xilin Group, composed of the Chenming, Laodaomiaogou, Qianshan and Wuxingzhen formations, is one of the Early Paleozoic terranes in the eastern Songliao Massif, mainly consisting of thick layers of fine clastic and carbonate rocks. This study presents LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb geochronological data for the Laodaomiaogou and Qianshan formations, further constraining their provenance and the Early Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the Songliao Massif on the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt. Most zircons from the Laodaomiaogou and Qianshan formations show magmatic oscillatory zoning and high Th/U ratios(0.26–2.41). Zircon U-Pb dating results indicate that the detrital zircons from the silty mudstone of the Laodaomiaogou Formation yield peak ages of 634 Ma, 775 Ma, 820 Ma, 880 Ma and 927 Ma, as well as multi-episodic Archean to Paleoproterozoic and Mesoproterozoic ages(1405–643 Ma), implying its deposition time is younger than ~634 Ma. Furthermore, the occurrence of Early Cambrian fossils indicates that the Laodaomiaogou Formation was deposited during the late stage of the Early Cambrian(~514 Ma). The zircons from the K-bentonite of the Qianshan Formation show four peak ages of 444 Ma, 471 Ma, 489 Ma and 518 Ma and the youngest age peak of 444 ± 4 Ma(n = 6) indicates that the Qianshan Formation was deposited during the Late Ordovician. In addition, the peak ages of the detrital zircons in the silty mudstone of the Qianshan Formation are 472 Ma and 498 Ma, as well as two other concordant points with;Pb/;Pb apparent ages of 1824 Ma and 1985 Ma. The dating results in this study, together with published data, indicate the absence of Pan-African magmatic events in the Songliao Massif prior to the initial deposition of the Xilin Group, in contrast to those distributed widely in the Jiamusi Massif. Taken together, we conclude that the depositional provenance of the Laodaomiaogou and Qianshan formations was derived from the Songliao Massif. Furthermore, the characteristics of the detrital zircon age composition and rock associations indicate that the Laodaomiaogou Formation formed in a passive continental margin environment, in contrast to the Qianshan Formation, which formed in an active continental margin environment. | 7 | Super enhancers targeting ZBTB16 in osteogenesis protect against osteoporosis显示文摘As the major cell precursors in osteogenesis, mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) are indispensable for bone homeostasis and development. However, the primary mechanisms regulating osteogenic differentiation are controversial. Composed of multiple constituent enhancers, super enhancers(SEs) are powerful cis-regulatory elements that identify genes that ensure sequential differentiation. The present study demonstrated that SEs were indispensable for MSC osteogenesis and involved in osteoporosis development. Through integrated analysis, we identified the most common SE-targeted and osteoporosis-related osteogenic gene,ZBTB16. ZBTB16, positively regulated by SEs, promoted MSC osteogenesis but was expressed at lower levels in osteoporosis.Mechanistically, SEs recruited bromodomain containing 4(BRD4) at the site of ZBTB16, which then bound to RNA polymerase IIassociated protein 2(RPAP2) that transported RNA polymerase Ⅱ(POL Ⅱ) into the nucleus. The subsequent synergistic regulation of POL Ⅱ carboxyterminal domain(CTD) phosphorylation by BRD4 and RPAP2 initiated ZBTB16 transcriptional elongation, which facilitated MSC osteogenesis via the key osteogenic transcription factor SP7. | 15 | Effects of time-delayed vibration absorber on bandwidth of beam for low broadband vibration suppression显示文摘The effects of time-delayed vibration absorber(TDVA) on the dynamic characteristics of a flexible beam are investigated. First, the vibration suppression effect of a single TDVA on a continuous beam is studied. The first optimization criterion is given,and the results show that the introduction of time-delayed feedback control(TDFC) is beneficial to improving the vibration suppression at the anti-resonance band. When a single TDVA is used, the anti-resonance is located at a specific frequency by the optimum design of TDFC parameters. Then, in order to obtain low-frequency and broad bands for vibration suppression, multiple TDVAs are uniformly distributed on a continuous beam,and the relationship between the dynamic responses and the TDFC parameters is investigated. The obtained relationship shows that the TDVA has a significant regulatory effect on the vibration behavior of the continuous beam. The effects of the number of TDVAs and the nonlinearity on the bandgap variation are discussed. | 20 | A giant central red disk galaxy at redshift z=0.76:Challenge to theories of galaxy formation显示文摘We report a giant red central disk galaxy in the XMM-LSS north region. The region is covered with a rich variety of multi-band photometric and spectroscopic observations. Using the photometric data of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey(CFHTLS) and spectroscopic observation of the baryon oscillation spectroscopic survey(BOSS), we find that the galaxy has a stellar mass of ~1011.6 M⊙. The galaxy has a red color and has an old stellar population, and thus its star formation has stopped.With the photometric image data of the Hyper Suprime-Cam(HSC) Subaru Strategic Program, we demonstrate that its luminosity profile is perfectly described by a Sérsic form with n=1.22 consistent with that of a disk. We also analyze its environment based on the VIMOS Public Extragalactic Redshift Survey(VIPERS) photometric catalog, and find that its close neighbors are all less massive, indicating that our observed galaxy is sitting at the center of its dark matter host halo. Existence of such a giant red central disk galaxy seriously challenges the current standard paradigm of galaxy formation, as there is no known physical mechanism to explain the quenching of its star formation.
