1Mineralogical and geochemical features of sulfide chimneys from the 49°39′E hydrothermal field on the Southwest Indian Ridge and their geological inferences显示文摘During January–May in 2007,the Chinese research cruise DY115-19 discovered an active hydrothermal field at 49°39′E/37°47′S on the ultraslow spreading Southwest Indian Ridge (SWIR).This was also the first active hydrothermal field found along an ultraslow-spreading ridge.We analyzed mineralogical,textural and geochemical compositions of the sulfide chimneys obtained from the 49°39′E field.Chimney samples show a concentric mineral zone around the fluid channel.The mineral assemblages of the interiors consist mainly of chalcopyrite,with pyrite and sphalerite as minor constitunets.In the intermediate portion,pyrite becomes the dominant mineral,with chalcopyrite and sphalerite as minor constitunets.For the outer wall,the majority of minerals are pyrite and sphalerite,with few chalcopyrite.Towards the outer margin of the chimney wall,the mineral grains become small and irregular in shape gradually,while minerals within interstices are abundant.These features are similar to those chimney edifices found on the East Pacific Rise and Mid-Atlantic Ridge.The average contents of Cu,Fe and Zn in our chimney samples were 2.83 wt%,45.6 wt% and 3.28 wt%,respectively.The average Au and Ag contents were up to 2.0 ppm and 70.2 ppm respectively,higher than the massive sulfides from most hydrothermal fields along mid-ocean ridge.The rare earth elements geochemistry of the sulfide chimneys show a pattern distinctive from the sulfides recovered from typical hydrothermal fields along sedimentstarved mid-ocean ridge,with the enrichment of light rare earth elements but the weak,mostly negative,Eu anomaly.This is attributed to the distinct mineralization environment or fluid compositions in this area.TAO ChunHui LI HuaiMing HUANG Wei HAN XiQiu WU GuangHai SU Xin ZHOU Ning LIN Jian HE YongHua ZHOU JianPing 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,26:34
2Seafloor hydrothermal activity and polymetallic sulfide exploration on the southwest Indian ridge显示文摘Polymetallic sulfides have attracted more attentions,which are regarded as one of the potential seabed mineral resources for their high grade of precious metal elements such as Cu,Zn,Pb,Au,and Ag.Since2007,there are four China dayang cruises(CDCs)with eight legs totally,which have been carried out to investigate polymetallic sulfides on the southwest Indian ridge(SWIR),and eight hydrothermal vents have been found.In2011,the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association(COMRA)and International Seabed Authority(ISA)signed a 15-year contract for exploration for polymetallic sulfides located on the SWIR between 46°S and 53°S.The area allocated to the COMRA is approximately 10,000 km2.In this paper,we review the recent research advances about hydrothermal activity of the SWIR by the CDCs.As for the sulfides exploration in the future,some aspects should be emphasized,such as the controlling factors of sulfide mineralization on the SWIR,prospecting methods of inactive and buried sulfide deposits,sulfides resources assessment method,and the nearbottom sulfides exploration technology systems.Chunhui Tao Huaiming Li Xiaobing Jin Jianping Zhou Tao Wu Yonghua He Xianming Deng Chunhua Gu Guoyin Zhang Weiyong Liu 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,19:25

4Internet of Things to network smart devices for ecosystem monitoring显示文摘Smart, real-time, low-cost, and distributed ecosystem monitoring is essential for understanding and managing rapidly changing ecosystems. However, new techniques in the big data era have rarely been introduced into operational ecosystem monitoring, particularly for fragile ecosystems in remote areas.We introduce the Internet of Things(IoT) techniques to establish a prototype ecosystem monitoring system by developing innovative smart devices and using IoT technologies for ecosystem monitoring in isolated environments. The developed smart devices include four categories: large-scale and nonintrusive instruments to measure evapotranspiration and soil moisture, in situ observing systems for CO2 and d13 C associated with soil respiration, portable and distributed devices for monitoring vegetation variables, and Bi-CMOS cameras and pressure trigger sensors for terrestrial vertebrate monitoring. These new devices outperform conventional devices and are connected to each other via wireless communication networks. The breakthroughs in the ecosystem monitoring IoT include new data loggers and longdistance wireless sensor network technology that supports the rapid transmission of data from devices to wireless networks. The applicability of this ecosystem monitoring IoT is verified in three fragile ecosystems, including a karst rocky desertification area, the National Park for Amur Tigers, and the oasis-desert ecotone in China. By integrating these devices and technologies with an ecosystem monitoring information system, a seamless data acquisition, transmission, processing, and application IoT is created. 5Features of the fault system and its relationship with migration and accumulation of hydrocarbon in Liaodong Bay显示文摘The fault system of Liaodong Bay developed extensively under the control of the Tanlu Fault.The fault system can be grouped into strike-slip faults of grade I,trunk faults of grade II and branch faults (induced faults) of grade III respectively based on its developmental scale.The faults of grade I and II were deep,early and large while the faults of grade III were shallow,late and small.The formation,evolution and distribution features played a significant role in controlling the migration of oil and gas in both horizontal and vertical directions.The fluid transfer in the fault system occurred in the process of faulting.The strike-slip and trunk faults moved actively forming predominant pathways for oil and gas migration.The branch faults,with weak activity,generally controlled the development of traps and were beneficial for the accumulation and preservation of oil and gas.The faults of grade I and II formed the major migration pathways for oil and gas,but their fault activity rates appeared to vary along their strikes.The zones with a relatively low fault activity rate might be favorable for oil and gas accumulation.When the activities of strike-slip,trunk,and branch faults came to a halt,the fault seal behavior had a vitally important effect on the accumulation of oil and gas.The controlling role of the fault over fluid distribution was further analyzed by calculating the fault activity quantitatively.Xu Guosheng Ma Ruolong Gong Deyu Zhou Donghong Li Jianping Guo Yonghua Yuan Haifeng Wu Changrong 2011Petroleum Science2011,8,3:8
6Clinical characterization and diagnosis of cystic fibrosis throughexome sequencing in Chinese infants with Bartter-syndrome-like hypokalemia alkalosis显示文摘Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a fatal autosomal-recessive disease caused by mutations in the CFtransmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. CF is characterized by recurrent pulmonary infectionwith obstructive pulmonary disease. CF is common in the Caucasian population but is rare in the Chinesepopulation. The symptoms of early-stage CF are often untypical and may sometimes manifest as Bartter syndrome(BS)-like hypokalemic alkalosis. Therefore, the ability of doctors to differentiate CF from BS-like hypokalemicalkalosis in Chinese infants is a great challenge in the timely and accurate diagnosis of CF. In China, sporadic CFhas not been diagnosed in children younger than three years of age to date. Three infants, who were initiallyadmitted to our hospital over the period of June 2013 to September 2014 with BS-like hypokalemic alkalosis, werediagnosed with CF through exome sequencing and sweat chloride measurement. The compound heterozygousmutations of the CFTR gene were detected in two infants, and a homozygous missense mutation was found in oneinfant. Among the six identified mutations, two are novel point mutations (c.1526G 〉 C and c.3062C 〉 T) that arepossibly pathogenic. The three infants are the youngest Chinese patients to have been diagnosed with sporadic CFat a very early stage. Follow-up examination showed that all of the cases remained symptom-free after earlyintervention, indicating the potential benefit of very early diagnosis and timely intervention in children with CF.Our results demonstrate the necessity of distinguishing CF from BS in Chinese infants with hypokalemic alkalosisand the significant diagnostic value of powerful exome sequencing for rare genetic diseases. 8Efficacy and advantages of modified Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments based on'kidney reinforcing'for chronic aplastic ane-mia:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacy of modified treatments based on 'kidney reinforcing' in the management of chronic aplastic anemia(CAA),and explore their advantages and specialties.METHODS:One hundred and eleven patients with CAA were randomly divided into three groups:kidney reinforcing alone(KA),'kidney reinforcing and Qi tonifying'(KQ),and 'kidney reinforcing and blood circulation invigorating'(KC).Normal and positive control groups were also formed.All patients were treated for 6 months(two courses).Hemograms,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores,and therapeutic effects were assessed,and changes in T-lymphocyte subsets,regulatory T cells and cytokines were detected.RESULTS:The KQ and KC groups had lower TCM syndrome scores than the positive control group after 6 months(P < 0.05).The KQ group had a higher overall efficacy than the positive control group after 3 months(P < 0.05),while platelet counts increased in the KC group after 6 months(P < 0.05).CD3+ T-lymphocyte ratios decreased only in the KQ group,while CD3 + CD4 + CD8-Tlymphocytes increased only in the KC group after 6 months(P <0.05).Levels of interferon-γ,tumor necrosis fac-tor-α,interleukin(IL)-2 and IL-6 decreased and levels of IL-4 and IL-10 increased in all treated groups after 6 months.Levels of IL-6 in the KQ and KC groups were lower than those in the positive control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Treatments based on kidney reinforcing have a rebalancing effect on cytotoxic and T helper cells,and regulate expression of interferon-γ,IL-2,IL-6 and IL-4.KQ may be more effective in treating CAA,and KC may have an advantage in platelet recovery.Wu Dijiong Shen Yiping Ye Baodong Fang Bingmu Lin Shengyun Chen Zhilu Jiang Huifang Feng Changwei He Lüyuan Gao Yanting Liu Yonglin Liu Yonghua Zhu Jiajia Wu Liqiang Shao Keding Zhou Yuhong 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:6

10Preparation and Characterization of Waterborne Polyurethane/Cellulose Nanocrystal Composite Membrane from Recycling Waste Paper显示文摘Cellulose plays a key role in abundant organic natural materials meeting the increasing demand for green and biocompatible products.The highly crystalline nanoscale component of cellulose nanocrystals has recently attracted great attention due to the versatile performance as filler or matrix in producing functional materials.In this work,we prepared the waterborne polyurethane via a prepolymer process,and obtained cellulose and cellulose nanocrystals from waste paper via a facile acid hydrolysis process.After that,the cellulose nanocrystals were assembled into film and mixed with polyurethane to prepare flexible polyurethane/cellulose nanocrystals composite membrane with different soaking time.The correlation between the bulk structure and applied properties including thermal resistance and mechanical property was investigated by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and folding test.The structure analysis indicates that cellulose nanocrystals prepared from used paper have a quality similar to that of commercial cellulose.Meanwhile,the cellulose nanocrystals have been mixed with polyurethane uniformly.Polyurethane can significantly benefit to the thermal resistance and mechanical property of the cellulose nanocrystals film.The polyurethane/cellulose nanocrystals composite membrane present good flexibility and may hold a significantly potential application as visual and flexible material.Xing Zhou Xin Zhang Dong Wang Changqing Fang Wanqing Lei Zhigang Huang Yonghua Song Xinyu He Yingwei Huang 2020Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,6:5
11Parametric Problems in Power System Analysis:Recent Applications of Polynomial Approximation Based on Galerkin Method显示文摘In power systems, there are many uncertainty factors such as power outputs of distributed generations and fluctuations of loads. It is very beneficial to power system analysis to acquire an explicit function describing the relationship between these factors(namely parameters) and power system states(or performances). This problem, termed as parametric problem(PP) in this paper, can be solved by Galerkin method,which is a powerful and mathematically rigorous method aiming to seek an accurate explicit approximate function by projection techniques. This paper provides a review of the applications of polynomial approximation based on Galerkin method in power system PPs as well as stochastic problems. First, the fundamentals of polynomial approximation and Galerkin method are introduced. Then, the process of solving three types of typical PPs by polynomial approximation based on Galerkin method is elaborated. 12Effect of Shenqi Yangxin decoction on high mobility group box 1and inflammatory signal pathway in a rat model of dilated cardiomyopathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Shenqi Yangxin decoction(SQYXD) on heart function in a rat model of dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) and its potential mechanisms.METHODS: Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal(10 rats) and DCM(150 rats)groups. DCM was induced by an intraperitoneal injection of adriamycin. Then, DCM baseline group was randomly selected sixteen DCM rats. The remaining DCM rats were randomly divided into DCM control, perindopril, metoprolol, and SQYXD groups. Cardiac function and histological analysis plus biochemical measurement of serum levels of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP), and inflammatory factors were measured. The mRNA and protein expression levels of high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1), Toll-like receptor 4(TLR-4), receptor for advanced glycation end products(RAGE), and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) were determined. Myocardial metabolism imaging was performed on the normal, SQYXD and DCM control groups to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.RESULTS: Rats in the DCM control group exhibited dilated left ventricular diameter, impaired cardiac function, disorganized sarcomere, impaired glucose metabolism, increased heart weight index,and increased levels of BNP, which were improved by treatment with SQYXD. In addition, hearts from rats in the DCM baseline group exhibited significantly higher levels of HMGB1, TLR-4, RAGE, NF-κB,tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1, interleukin-6, interleukin-10, compared with the normal group. Interestingly, the mRNA level of HMGB1 in the DCM baseline group was positively correlated with that of TLR-4, RAGE, NF-κB, BNP, and LVEDD,but negatively correlated with LVEF. SQYXD inhibited the upregulation of HMGB1 expression and its downstream inflammatory factors.CONCLUSION: Shenqi Yangxin decoction effectively reduced the dilated left ventricular diameter and improved heart function in dilated cardiomyopathy. 13Optimal transmission switching to eliminate voltage violations during light-load periods using decomposition approach显示文摘With the rapid load increase in some countries such as China, power grids are becoming more strongly interconnected, and the differences between peak and valley loads are also increasing. As a result, some bulk power systems are facing high voltage limit violations during light-load periods. This paper proposes to utilize transmission switching(TS) to eliminate voltage violations. The TS problem is formed as a mixed-integer nonlinear program(MINLP) with AC power flow constraints and binary variables. The proposed MINLP problem is non-deterministic polynomial hard.To efficiently solve the problem, a decomposition approach is developed. This approach decomposes the original problem into a mixedinteger linear programming master problem and an AC optimal power flow slave problem that is used to check the AC feasibility. 15Selectivity modulation in the consecutive hydrogenation of benzaldehyde via functionalization of carbon nanotubes显示文摘Hydrogenation of benzaldehyde is a typical consecutive reaction,since the intermediate benzyl alcohol is apt to be further hydrogenated.Here we demonstrate that the selectivity of benzyl alcohol can be tuned via functionalization of carbon nanotubes(CNTs),which are used as the support of Pd.With the original CNTs,the selectivity of benzyl alcohol is 88% at a 100% conversion of benzaldehyde.With introduction of oxygen-containing groups onto CNTs,it drops to 27%.In contrast,doping CNTs with N atoms,the selectivity reaches 96% under the same reaction conditions.The kinetic study shows that hydrogenation of benzyl alcohol is significantly suppressed,which can be attributed to weakened adsorption of benzyl alcohol.This is most likely related to the modified electronic structure of Pd species via interaction with functionalized CNTs,as shown by XPS characterization.Yonghua Zhou Jing Liu Xingyun Li Xiulian Pan Xinhe Bao 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,3:2

18Heavy metals in suspended matters during a tidal cycle in the turbidity maximum around the Changjiang(Yangtze) Estuary显示文摘In order to discuss the content distributions and fluxes of heavy metals in suspended matters during a tidal cycle in the turbidity maximum around the Changjiang(Yangtze) Estuary,the contents of heavy metals(Zn,Pb,Cd,Co and Ni) have been analyzed.During a tidal cycle,the average contents of heavy metals are in the order of Zn>Ni>Pb>Co àCd.The average contents in ebb tide are generally higher than that in flood tide.However,at the inshore Sta.11,influenced by the contamination from the nearby waste treatment plant,the average contents of Zn and Ni in flood tide are higher than those in ebb tide and at the offshore Sta.10,the content of Cd in flood tide higher than that in ebb tide due to marine-derived materials.The five heavy metals,mainly terrigenous,are transported towards east-northeast,and settle down with suspended matters in the area between Sta.11 and Sta.10.Influenced by marine-derived materials,the flux value of Cd does not alter significantly with obviously changing in flux direction towards northwest.The source of heavy metals,the salinity of water and the concentration of suspended matters are the main factors controlling the content distributions of heavy metals during a tidal cycle.There is a positive correlation between the contents of heavy metals(Zn,Pb,Co and Ni) and the salinity of water,while the opposite correlation between the contents and the concentrations of suspended matters.Because of marine-derived materials,the content of Cd is not correlated with the concentration of suspended matters and the salinity of water.ZHANG Huaijing ZHAI Shikui ZHANG Aibin ZHOU Yonghua YU Zenghui 2015Acta Oceanologica Sinica2015,34,10:1
19Global optimal polynomial approximation for parametric problems in power systems显示文摘The influence of parameters on system states for parametric problems in power systems is to be evaluated.These parameters could be renewable generation outputs,load factor, etc. Polynomial approximation has been applied to express the nonlinear relationship between system states and parameters, governed by the nonlinear and implicit equations. Usually, sampling-based methods are applied, e.g., data fitting methods and sensitivity methods,etc. However, the accuracy and stability of these methods are not guaranteed. This paper proposes an innovative method based on Galerkin method, providing global optimal approximation. Compared to traditional methods, this method enjoys high accuracy and stability.
