1Effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance,body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco)显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary arginine levels on growth performance, body composition, serum biochemical indices and resistance ability against ammonia-nitrogen stress in juvenile yellow catfish(Pelteobagrus fulvidraco). Five isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets(42%protein and 9% lipid) were formulated to contain graded levels of arginine(2.44%, 2.64%, 2.81%, 3.01% and3.23% of diet), by supplementing L-Arginine HCI. Seven hundred juvenile yellow catfish with an initial average body weight of 1.13 ± 0.02 g were randomly divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates of 35 fish each and each group was fed one of the diets. After 56 d feeding, fish were exposed to 100 mg/L of ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h. The results showed that weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate(SGR) in2.64% and 2.81% groups were significantly higher than those in 3.23% group(P < 0.05). The feed conversation ratio(FCR) in 2,64%, 2,81% and 3.01% groups was significantly decreased when compared with3,23% group. The protein efficiency ratio(PER) in 2.64% group was significantly higher than that in 2.44%and 3.23% groups(P < 0.05). The condition factor(CF) of fish was significantly higher in 2.81% group than that in 2,44% group(P < 0.05). Dietary arginine levels had no significant effect on hepatosomatic index(HSI), viscerosomatic index(VSI), and whole-body dry matter, crude protein, crude lipid, ash contents, as well as serum total protein(TP), triglyceride(TG), glucose(GLU), urea nitrogen(UN) contents and aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) activities(P> 0.05). After the fish were challenged to ammonia-nitrogen for 72 h, their cumulative mortality rate in 2.81% group was significantly lower than that in 2.44% group(P < 0.05). The results suggested that dietary arginine level at 2.81%could optimize anti-ammonia-nitrogen stress ability of juvenile yellow catfish and a level of 3.23%arginine seemed to depress the growth performance of fish and decreased their tolerance to the ammonia-nitrogen stress under current study. 3Geometry and tectonic deformation of the seismogenic structure for the 8 August 2017 M_S 7.0 Jiuzhaigou earthquake sequence,northern Sichuan, China显示文摘To reveal the geometry of the seismogenic structure of the Aug. 8, 2017 M_S 7.0 Jiuzhaigou earthquake in northern Sichuan,data from the regional seismic network from the time of the main event to Oct. 31, 2017 were used to relocate the earthquake sequence by the tomoDD program, and the focal mechanism solutions and centroid depths of the M_L ≥ 3.5 events in the sequence were determined using the CAP waveform inversion method. Further, the segmental tectonic deformation characteristics of the seismogenic faults were analyzed preliminarily by using strain rosettes and areal strains(As). The results indicate:(1) The relocated M_S 7.0 Jiuzhaigou earthquake sequence displays a narrow ~ 38 km long NNW-SSE-trending zone between the NW-striking Tazang Fault and the nearly NSstriking Minjiang Fault, two branches of the East Kunlun Fault Zone. The spatial distribution of the sequence is narrow and deep for the southern segment, and relatively wide and shallow for the northern segment. The initial rupture depth of the mainshock is 12.5 km, the dominant depth range of the aftershock sequence is between 0 and 10 km with an average depth of 6.7 km. The mainshock epicenter is located in the middle of the aftershock region, showing a bilateral rupture behavior. The centroid depths of 32 M_L ≥ 3.5 events range from 3 to 12 km with a mean of about 7.3 km, consistent with the predominant focal depth of the whole sequence.(2) The geometric structure of the seismogenic fault on the southern section of the aftershock area(south of the mainshock) is relatively simple, with overall strike of ~150° and dip angle ~75°, but the dip angle and dip-orientation exhibit some variation along the segment. The seismogenic structure on the northern segment is more complicated; several faults, including the Minjiang Fault, may be responsible for the aftershock activities. The overall strike of this section is ~159° and dip angle is ~59°, illustrating a certain clockwise rotation and a smaller dip angle than the southern segment. The differences between the two segments demonstrate variation of the geometric structure along the seismogenic faults.(3) The focal mechanism solutions of 32 M_L ≥ 3.5 events in the earthquake sequence have obvious segmental characteristics. Strike-slip earthquakes are dominant on the southern segment, while 50% of events on the northern segment are thrusting and oblique thrusting earthquakes, revealing significant differences in the kinematic features of the seismogenic faults between the two segments.(4) The strain rosettes for the mainshock and the entire sequence of 31 M_L ≥ 3.5 aftershocks correspond to strike-slip type with NWW-SEE compressional white lobes and NNE-SSW extensional black lobes of nearly similar size. The strain rosette and As value of the entire sequence of 22 M_L ≥ 3.5 events on the southern segment are the same as those of the M_S 7.0 mainshock,indicating that the tectonic deformation here is strike-slip. However, the strain rosette of the entire sequence of 10 M_L ≥ 3.5 events on the northern segment show prominent white compressional lobes and small black extensional lobes, and the related As value is up to 0.52,indicating that the tectonic deformation of this segment is oblique thrusting with a certain strike-slip component. 4Prediction of Primary Climate Variability Modes at the Beijing Climate Center显示文摘Climate variability modes, usually known as primary climate phenomena, are well recognized as the most important predictability sources in subseasonal–interannual climate prediction. This paper begins by reviewing the research and development carried out, and the recent progress made, at the Beijing Climate Center(BCC) in predicting some primary climate variability modes. These include the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), and Arctic Oscillation(AO), on global scales, as well as the sea surface temperature(SST) modes in the Indian Ocean and North Atlantic, western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH), and the East Asian winter and summer monsoons(EAWM and EASM, respectively), on regional scales. Based on its latest climate and statistical models, the BCC has established a climate phenomenon prediction system(CPPS) and completed a hindcast experiment for the period 1991–2014. The performance of the CPPS in predicting such climate variability modes is systematically evaluated. The results show that skillful predictions have been made for ENSO, MJO, the Indian Ocean basin mode, the WPSH, and partly for the EASM, whereas less skillful predictions were made for the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD) and North Atlantic SST Tripole, and no clear skill at all for the AO, subtropical IOD, and EAWM. 5Crop Classification Using MODIS NDVI Data Denoised by Wavelet: A Case Study in Hebei Plain, China显示文摘Time-series Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data have been widely used for large area crop mapping.However,the temporal crop signatures generated from these data were always accompanied by noise.In this study,a denoising method combined with Time series Inverse Distance Weighted (T-IDW) interpolating and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) was presented.The detail crop planting patterns in Hebei Plain,China were classified using denoised time-series MODIS NDVI data at 250 m resolution.The denoising approach improved original MODIS NDVI product significantly in several periods,which may affect the accuracy of classification.The MODIS NDVI-derived crop map of the Hebei Plain achieved satisfactory classification accuracies through validation with field observation,statistical data and high resolution image.The field investigation accuracy was 85% at pixel level.At county-level,for winter wheat,there is relatively more significant correlation between the estimated area derived from satellite data with noise reduction and the statistical area (R2 = 0.814,p < 0.01).Moreover,the MODIS-derived crop patterns were highly consistent with the map generated by high resolution Landsat image in the same period.The overall accuracy achieved 91.01%.The results indicate that the method combining T-IDW and DWT can provide a gain in time-series MODIS NDVI data noise reduction and crop classification.ZHANG Shengwei LEI Yuping WANG Liping LI Hongjun ZHAO Hongbin 2011Chinese Geographical Science2011,21,3:9

9Mesenteric lymph reperfusion may exacerbate brain injury in a rat model of superior mesenteric artery occlusion shock显示文摘BACKGROUND:The intestinal lymphatic pathway and intestinal ischemia/reperfusion are mainly involved in mesenteric lymph duct ligation or drainage;moreover,intervention by reducing the lymph liquid reflux might relieve lung and other organ dysfunction induced by intestinal ischemia/reperfusion;however,research addressing mesenteric lymph reperfusion (MLR) and brain injury has not yet to be reported.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of MLR on brain tissue in a rat model of superior mesenteric artery occlusion (SMAO) shock,and to explore the molecular mechanism of MLR.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment at a neuro-pathophysiology level was performed at the Institute of Microcirculation,Hebei North University;Department of Pathophysiology,Basic Medical College;Department of Pathology,the First Hospital of Hebei North University between December 2007 and March 2009.MATERIALS:Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) standard was provided by the National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products;lactic acid (LA),superoxide dismutase (SOD),malonaldehyde (MDA),nitrogen monoxidum (NO),nitric oxide synthase (NOS),myeloperoxidase (MPO) and ATPase assay kits were provided by Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute,China.METHODS:A total of 24 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups.In the sham-surgery group (n=6),both the mesenteric lymph duct and the superior mesenteric artery were not blocked;in the MLR group (n=6),the mesenteric lymph duct was occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion;in the SMAO group (n=6),the superior mesenteric artery was occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion;in the MLR + SMAO group (n=6),both the mesenteric lymph duct and superior mesenteric artery were occluded for 1 hour followed by 2-hour reperfusion.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Mean arterial blood pressure prior to and following ischemia/reperfusion;brain tissue morphology levels of LA,MDA,SOD,NO,NOS,MPO,ATPase and ATP following reperfusion.RESULTS:MLR did not cause changes in mean arterial blood pressure,brain tissue morphology,LA,MDA,NO,ATP,SOD,NOS,MPO and ATPase.However,SMAO caused a rapid decrease and gradual increase of mean arterial blood pressure.Neuronal necrosis,degeneration and swelling were observed in brain tissue.Contents of MDA,NO,LA and ATP as well as activities of NOS and MPO were significantly increased (P < 0.05),but activities of SOD and Na+-K+-ATPase were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).MLR aggravated neuronal damage in a rat model of SMAO shock.Following MLR,mean arterial blood pressure was significantly decreased (P < 0.05),contents of MDA and NO as well as activities of NOS and MPO were significantly increased (P < 0.05),but activities of Ca2+-ATPase,Mg2+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase as well as ATP content were significantly decreased (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:MLR aggravates brain injury in a rat model of SMAO shock,which correlates with oxygen-derived free radical injury,NO synthesis and release,sequestration of neutrophilic granulocytes,decreasing activity of cell membrane pumps and energy metabolism dysfunction.Pathogenesis of the intestinal lymphatic pathway should be thoroughly investigated to prevent ischemia/reperfusion injury.Zigang Zhao Chunyu Niu Aimin Shang Jiaming Tian Rui Han Chunhui Zhang Yuping Zhang Jing Zhang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,9:7

13Quantum dots protect against MPP+-induced neurotoxicity in a cell model of Parkinson's disease through autophagy induction显示文摘Autophagy is a basic cellular process that decomposes damaged organelles and aberrant proteins. Dysregulation of autophagy is implicated in pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease(PD). Pharmacological compounds that stimulate autophagy can provide neuroprotection in models of PD. Nanoparticles have emerged as regulators of autophagy and have been tested in adjuvant therapy for diseases. In this present study, we explore the effects of quantum dots(QDs) that can induce autophagy in a cellular model of Parkinson's disease. Cd Te/Cd S/Zn S QDs protect differentiated rat pheochromocytoma PC12 cells from MPP+-induced cell damage, including reduced viability, apoptosis and accumulation of α-Synuclein, a characteristic protein of PD. The protective function of QDs is autophagy-dependent. In addition, we investigate the interaction between quantum dots and autophagic pathways and identify beclin1 as an essential factor for QDs-induced autophagy. 14Equilibrium Phase Constituents and Discontinuous Precipitation Behavior of Al-Zn-Cu Alloy with Symmetrical Composition显示文摘Through microstructure observation and X-ray diffraction analysis, the equilibrium phase constituents of Al-Zn alloythat contains 2 at. pct Cu at room temperature have been determined as Al-based solid solution (α), Zn-based solidsolution and Al4Cu3Zn phase (T′-phase), which are different from α phase, Zn phase and CuZn4 phase originallybelieved. It is determined that the products of discontinuous precipitation transformation below 277℃ are not theequilibrium phase constituents, but the metastable phases made up of α phase, Zn phase and CuZn4 phase. 15A wireless, implantable optoelectrochemical probe for optogenetic stimulation and dopamine detection显示文摘Physical and chemical technologies have been continuously progressing advances in neuroscience research.The development of research tools for closed-loop control and monitoring neural activities in behaving animals is highly desirable.In this paper,we introduce a wirelessly operated,miniaturized microprobe system for optical interrogation and neurochemical sensing in the deep brain.Via epitaxial liftoff and transfer printing,microscale light-emitting diodes(micro-LEDs)as light sources and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS)-coated diamond films as electrochemical sensors are vertically assembled to form implantable optoelectrochemical probes for real-time optogenetic stimulation and dopamine detection capabilities.A customized,lightweight circuit module is employed for untethered,remote signal control,and data acquisition.After the probe is injected into the ventral tegmental area(VTA)of freely behaving mice,in vivo experiments clearly demonstrate the utilities of the multifunctional optoelectrochemical microprobe system for optogenetic interference of place preferences and detection of dopamine release.The presented options for material and device integrations provide a practical route to simultaneous optical control and electrochemical sensing of complex nervous systems.Changbo Liu Yu Zhao Xue Cai Yang Xie Taoyi Wang Dali Cheng Lizhu Li Rongfeng Li Yuping Deng He Ding Guoqing Lv Guanlei Zhao Lei Liu Guisheng Zou Meixin Feng Qian Sun Lan Yin Xing Sheng 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:3
16Integration of full-length transcriptomics and targeted metabolomics to identify benzylisoquinoline alkaloid biosynthetic genes in Corydalis yanhusuo显示文摘Corydalis yanhusuo W.T.Wang is a classic herb that is frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine and is efficacious in promoting blood circulation,enhancing energy,and relieving pain.Benzylisoquinoline alkaloids(BIAs)are the main bioactive ingredients in Corydalis yanhusuo.However,few studies have investigated the BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo,and the biosynthetic pathway of species-specific chemicals such as tetrahydropalmatine remains unclear.We performed full-length transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses to identify candidate genes that might be involved in BIA biosynthesis and identified a total of 101 full-length transcripts and 19 metabolites involved in the BIA biosynthetic pathway.Moreover,the contents of 19 representative BIAs in C.yanhusuo were quantified by classical targeted metabolomic approaches.Their accumulation in the tuber was consistent with the expression patterns of identified BIA biosynthetic genes in tubers and leaves,which reinforces the validity and reliability of the analyses.Full-length genes with similar expression or enrichment patterns were identified,and a complete BIA biosynthesis pathway in C.yanhusuo was constructed according to these findings.Phylogenetic analysis revealed a total of ten enzymes that may possess columbamine-O-methyltransferase activity,which is the final step for tetrahydropalmatine synthesis.Our results span the whole BIA biosynthetic pathway in C.yanhusuo.Our full-length transcriptomic data will enable further molecular cloning of enzymes and activity validation studies.Dingqiao Xu Hanfeng Lin Yuping Tang Lu Huang Jian Xu Sihui Nian Yucheng Zhao 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
17PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ion concentrations decreased faster in urban than rural areas in China显示文摘We investigated variations of PM_(2.5)and water-soluble inorganic ions chemical characteristics at nine urban and rural sites in China using ground-based observations.From 2015 to 2019,mean PM_(2.5)concentration across all sites decreased by 41.9μg/m~3with a decline of 46%at urban sites and 28%at rural sites,where secondary inorganic aerosol(SIAs)contributed to 21%(urban sites)and 17%(rural sites)of the decreased PM_(2.5).SIAs concentrations underwent a decline at urban locations,while sulfate(SO_(4)^(2–)),nitrate(NO_(3)^(–)),and ammonium(NH_(4)^(+))decreased by 49.5%,31.3%and 31.6%,respectively.However,only SO_(4)^(2–)decreased at rural sites,NO_(3)^(–)increased by 21%and NH_(4)^(+)decreased slightly.Those changes contributed to an overall SIAs increase in 2019.Higher molar ratios of NO_(3)^(–)to SO_(4)^(2–)and NH_(4)^(+)to SO_(4)^(2–)were observed at urban sites than rural sites,being highest in the heavily polluted days.Mean molar ratios of NH_(3)/NH_xwere higher in 2019 than 2015 at both urban and rural sites,implying increasing NH_xremained as free NH_(3).Our observations indicated a slower transition from sulfate-driven to nitrate-driven aerosol pollution and less efficient control of NO_(x)than SO_(2)related aerosol formation in rural regions than urban regions.Moreover,the common factor at urban and rural sites appears to be a combination of lower SO_(4)^(2–)levels and an increasing fraction of NO_(3)^(–)to PM_(2.5)under NH_(4)^(+)-rich conditions.Our findings imply that synchronous reduction in NO_(x)and NH_(3)emissions especially rural areas would be effective to mitigate NO_(3)^(–)-driven aerosol pollution.Yangyang Zhang Aohan Tang Chen Wang Xin Ma Yunzhe Li Wen Xu Xiaoping Xia Aihua Zheng Wenqing Li Zengguo Fang Xiufen Zhao Xianlong Peng Yuping Zhang Jian Han Lijuan Zhang Jeffrey L.Collett Jr Xuejun Liu 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,12:2
18Face and object visual working memory deficits in first-episode schizophrenia correlate with multiple neurocognitive performances显示文摘Background Working memory(WM)deficit is considered a core feature and cognitive biomarker in patients with schizophrenia.Several studies have reported prominent object WM deficits in patients with schizophrenia,suggesting that visual WM in these patients extends to non-spatial domains.However,whether non-spatial WM is similarly affected remains unclear.Aim This study primarily aimed to identify the processing of visual object WM in patients with first-episode schizophrenia.Methods The study included 36 patients with first-episode schizophrenia and 35 healthy controls.Visual object WM capacity,including face and house WM capacity,was assessed by means of delayed matching-to sample visual WM tasks,in which participants must distribute memory so that they can discriminate a target sample.We specifically examined their anhedonia experience by the Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale and the Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale.Cognitive performance was measured by the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status(RBANS).Results Both face and house WM capacity was significantly impaired in patients with schizophrenia.For both tasks,the performance of all the subjects was worse under the high-load condition than under the low-load condition.We found that WM capacity was highly positively correlated with the performance on RBANS total scores(r=−0.528,p=0.005),RBANS delayed memory scores(r=−0.470,p=0.013),RBANS attention scores(r=−0.584,p=0.001),RBANS language scores(r=−0.448,p=0.019),Trail-Making Test:Part A raw scores(r=0.465,p=0.015)and simple IQ total scores(r=−0.538,p=0.005),and correlated with scores of the vocabulary test(r=−0.490,p=0.011)and scores of the Block Diagram Test(r=−0.426,p=0.027)in schizophrenia.No significant correlations were observed between WM capacity and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale symptoms.Conclusions Our research found that visual object WM capacity is dramatically impaired in patients with schizophrenia and is strongly correlated with other measures of cognition,suggesting a mechanism that is critical in explaining a portion of the broad cognitive deficits observed in schizophrenia.Yi Liu Taiyong Bi Bei Zhang Qijie Kuang Haijing Li Kunlun Zong Jingping Zhao Yuping Ning Shenglin She Yingjun Zheng 2021General Psychiatry2021,34,1:2
19Switching emissions of two tetraphenylethene derivatives with solvent vapor, mechanical, and thermal stimuli显示文摘Two derivatives of tetraphenylethene (TPE) were synthesized through one step cross McMurry coupling reaction. Both luminogens exhibit aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and crystallization induced emission enhancement (CIEE). The emissions of both luminogens could be switched between blue and green through reversible modulation of morphology with thermal, organic solvent fuming and mechanical stimuli. 20Preparation and mineralization of PLGA/Gt electrospun fiber mats显示文摘Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA)/gelatin(Gt) ultrafine composite fibers were fabricated via electro-spinning.The effect of gelatin on the morphology and tensile property of the electrospun fiber mats was investigated.Mineralization was carried out in 10×simulated body fluid(10SBF).The deposited calcium phosphate(CaP) was identified by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).Results indicated that the average diameter of PLGA/Gt electrospun fibers was much smaller than that of PLGA fibers and the addition of gelatin increased the tenacity of wet mats.Two types of calcium phosphate deposits with different molar ratios of Ca/P were obtained when the electrospun PLGA/Gt mat was incubated in 10SBF.CaP crystals nucleated and grew faster on PLGA/Gt fiber mats rather than on PLGA membranes.'Honeycomb-like' crystals grew on the surface of PLGA/Gt electrospun fibers.After 4 h,the surface of the fibers was entirely coated with these crystals.ZHAO Jin ZHAO YuPing ZHANG Wei YUAN XiaoYan YAO KangDe 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,8:2
