1Paleomagnetic study on orogenic belt:An example from Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘We report paleomagnetic results for Early Cretaceous lava flows collected from the Suhongtu area of Inner Mongolia, the middle part of the Tianshan-Mongolia Fold Belt (TMFB). Rock-magnetic experiments for different lava flows indicate that the main magnetic mineral is pseudo-single-domain (PSD) magnetite. The characteristic high-temperature remanence com- ponent is isolated by thermal demagnetization temperature steps between 300°C and 585'C, which yields a mean direction of D = 23.6°, I=56.0° with α 95 = 2.3°. We interpret this high-temperature remanence component as primary magnetization based mainly upon the petrographic analysis, which shows that the shape of magnetite crystal is relatively rounded square or polygon without internal reflection and deuterogenous phenomenon. The correspond- ing pole of the high-temperature remanence component is at 71.1°N, 200.5°E with A 95 = 2.7°. 2Structural topology optimization under stationary random base acceleration excitations显示文摘Structural topology optimization subjected to stationary random base acceleration excitations is investigated in this paper. In the random response analysis, the Large Mass Method(LMM) which attributes artificial large mass values at each driven nodal Degree Of Freedom(DOF) to transforming the base acceleration excitations into force excitations is proposed. The Complete Quadratic Combination(CQC) which is commonly used to calculate the random responses in previous optimization has been proven to be computationally expensive especially for large-scale problems. In order to conquer this difficulty, the Pseudo Excitation Method(PEM) and the combined method of PEM and Mode Acceleration Method(MAM) are adopted into the dynamic topology optimization, and random responses are calculated using these two methods to ascertain a high efficiency over the CQC. A density-based topology optimization method minimizing dynamic responses is then formulated based on the integration of LMM and PEM or the combined method of PEM and MAM. 3Reduced Graphene Oxide-Wrapped FeS_2 Composite as Anode for High-Performance Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Iron disulfide is considered to be a potential anode material for sodium-ion batteries due to its high theoretical capacity. However, its applications are seriously limited by the weak conductivity and large volume change, which results in low reversible capacity and poor cycling stability.Herein, reduced graphene oxide-wrapped FeS_2(FeS_2/rGO)composite was fabricated to achieve excellent electrochemical performance via a facile two-step method. The introduction of rGO effectively improved the conductivity,BET surface area, and structural stability of the FeS_2 active material, thus endowing it with high specific capacity, good rate capability, as well as excellent cycling stability. Electrochemical measurements show that the FeS_2/rGO composite had a high initial discharge capacity of 1263.2 mAh gg^(-1) at 100 mA gg^(-1) and a high discharge capacity of 344 mAh gg^(-1) at 10 A gg^(-1), demonstrating superior rate performance. 14Metagenomic insights into the variation of bacterial communities and potential pathogenic bacteria in drinking water treatment and distribution systems显示文摘High-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA gene amplicons was conducted to characterize the changing patterns of bacterial community and potential pathogens in full-scale drinking water treatment and distribution systems.Results showed that Actinobacteria was the predominant phylum in source water,while Proteobacteria dominated after chlorine disinfection and its relative abundance increased from 40.88%±9.45%to 67.86%±27.10%.The genera Pseudarthrobacter,Arenimonas,and Limnohabitans were effectively removed by chlorination,while Phreatobacter,Undibacterium,Pseudomonas,and Sphingomonas within the Proteobacteria phylum were greatly enriched after chlorination.Metagenomic analyses revealed the occurrence of 56 species of potential pathogenic bacteria within 17 genera in drinking water,mainly including Pseudomonas fluorescens and five mycobacteria species,which were also persistent in tap water samples.The bacteria were found to be involved in various pathways,among which considerable groups were related to human diseases,including infectious diseases and even cancers.Ruiming Jiang Zihan Li Qisheng Li Yunqi Liu Yuning Zhu Zimo Chen Peng Liu Shuyu Jia Hongqiang Ren Xu-Xiang Zhang 2022National Science Open2022,1,2:1

16Effects of Wetland Utilization Change on Spatial Distribution of Soil Nematodes in Heihe River Basin, Northwest China显示文摘The first account of the effects of wetland reclamation on soil nematode assemblages were provided, three sites in Heihe River Basin of Northwest China, that is grass wetland(GW), Tamarix chinensis wetland(TW) and crop wetland(CW) treatments, were compared. Results showed that the majority of soil nematodes were presented in the 0–20 cm soil layers in CW treatments, followed by in the 20–40 cm and 40–60 cm layers in GW treatments. Plant-feeding nametodes were the most abundant trophic groups in each treatment, where GW(91.0%) > TW(88.1%) > CW(53.5%). Generic richness(GR) was lower in the TW(16) than that in GW(23) and CW(25). The combination of enrichment index(EI) and structure index(SI) showed that the soil food web in GW was more structured, and those in TW was stressed, while the enrichment soil food web was presented in the CW treatment. Several ecological indices which reflected soil community structure, diversity, Shannon-Weaver diversity(H′), Evenness(J′), Richness(GR) and modified maturity index(MMI) were found to be effective for assessing the response of soil namatode communities to soil of saline wetland reclamation. Furthermore, saline wetland reclamation also exerted great influence on the soil physical and chemical properties(p H, Electric conductivity(EC), Total organic carbon(TOC), Total nitrogen(Total-N) and Nitrate Nitrogen(N-NO3–)). 17Comprehensive analysis of the N and C terminus of endogenous serum peptides reveals a highly conserved cleavage site pattern derived from proteolytic enzymes显示文摘The human serum proteome is closely associated with the state of the body.Endogenous peptides derived from proteolytic enzymes cleaving on serum proteins are widely studied due to their potential application in disease-specific marker discovery.However,the reproducibility of peptidome analysis of endogenous peptides is significantly influenced by the proteolytic enzymes within body fluids,thereby limiting the clinical use of the endogenous peptides.We comprehensively investigated the N and C terminus of endogenous peptides using peptidomics.The cleavage site patterns of the N and C terminus and adjacent sites from all the identified endogenous peptides were highly conserved under different sample preparation conditions,including long-term incubation at 37℃ and pretreatment with repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Furthermore,a distinguishable cleavage site pattern was obtained when a different disease serum was analyzed.The conserved cleavage site pattern derived from proteolytic enzymes holds potential in highly specific disease diagnosis.Fangjun Wang Jun Zhu Lianghai Hu Hongqiang Qin Mingliang Ye Hanfa Zou 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,9:0
18A Comparison of the Performance of Limiters for Runge-Kutta Discontinuous Galerkin Methods显示文摘Discontinuities usually appear in solutions of nonlinear conservation laws even though the initial condition is smooth,which leads to great difficulty in computing these solutions numerically.The Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin(RKDG)methods are efficientmethods for solving nonlinear conservation laws,which are highorder accurate and highly parallelizable,and can be easily used to handle complicated geometries and boundary conditions.An important component of RKDG methods for solving nonlinear conservation laws with strong discontinuities in the solution is a nonlinear limiter,which is applied to detect discontinuities and control spurious oscillations near such discontinuities.Many such limiters have been used in the literature on RKDG methods.A limiter contains two parts,first to identify the'troubled cells',namely,those cells which might need the limiting procedure,then to replace the solution polynomials in those troubled cells by reconstructed polynomials which maintain the original cell averages(conservation).[SIAM J.Sci.Comput.,26(2005),pp.995-1013.]focused on discussing the first part of limiters.In this paper,focused on the second part,we will systematically investigate and compare a few different reconstruction strategies with an objective of obtaining the most efficient and reliable reconstruction strategy.This work can help with the choosing of right limiters so one can resolve sharper discontinuities,get better numerical solutions and save the computational cost.Hongqiang Zhu Yue Cheng Jianxian Qiu 2013Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2013,5,3:0
19Clinical efficacy of low-dose emetine for patients with COVID-19:a real-world study显示文摘Objective:Emetine,an isoquinoline alkaloid that is enriched at high concentrations in the lung,has shown potent in vitro activity against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).The aim of this study was to better understand the effectiveness of low-dose emetine for patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Methods:In this real-world study,63 patients with mild or common COVID-19 were recruited from Wuhan Fangcang Shelter Hospital and five COVID-19-designated hospitals in Anhui Province,China from February to March 2020.Thirty-nine patients from Wuhan Fangcang Shelter Hospital were assigned to a pragmatic randomized controlled clinical trial,and 24 patients from the 5 COVID-19-designated hospitals in Anhui Province underwent a real-world study.The medication course of emetine was less than 10 days.The main symptoms and adverse reactions of all patients were observed and recorded.The primary outcome measure was the time required for a negative SARS-CoV-2 RNA result or the negative result rate on day 10.Secondary outcomes included axillary temperature,transcutaneous oxygen saturation,and respiratory frequency recovery.The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University on February 20,2019(approval No.PJ2020-03-19)and was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry on February 20,2019(registration number:ChiCTR2000030022).Results:The oxygen saturation values were higher in the treatment group than in the control group on the first day after enrollment for patients treated at Fangcang Shelter Hospital.The axillary body temperature,respiratory rate,and oxygen saturation among patients in Fangcang Shelter Hospital were related to the time effect but not to the intervention measures.The respiratory rate and oxygen saturation of patients in the Anhui designated hospitals were related to the intervention measures but not to the time effect.The axillary body temperature of patients in Anhui designated hospitals was related to the time effect but not to the intervention measures.Conclusion:Our preliminary study shows that low-dose emetine combined with basic conventional antiviral drugs improves clinical symptoms in patients with mild and common COVID-19 without apparent adverse effects,suggesting that moderately increased doses of emetine may have good potential for treatment and prevention of COVID-19.Song Fan Qi Zhen Cheng Chen Wenjun Wang Qibing Wu Huihui Ma Chengyuan Zhang Li Zhang Baojing Lu Huiyao Ge Liang Yong Bao Li Yafen Yu Weiwei Chen Yiwen Mao Guangbo Qu Li Su Aoli Wang Zhen Ding Haiwen Li Jin Zhang Yonglian Wang Yufeng Gao Xihai Xu Zhongming Zhu Jun Chen Long Zhang Hongqiang Liang Song Wu Meng Huang Quan Xia Ping Li Yehuan Sun Chaozhao Liang Wei Wei Qingsong Liu Liangdan Sun 2021Journal of Bio-X Research2021,4,2:0
20An h-Adaptive Runge-Kutta Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Hamilton-Jacobi Equations显示文摘In[35,36],we presented an h-adaptive Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin method using troubled-cell indicators for solving hyperbolic conservation laws.A tree data structure(binary tree in one dimension and quadtree in two dimensions)is used to aid storage and neighbor finding.Mesh adaptation is achieved by refining the troubled cells and coarsening the untroubled'children'.Extensive numerical tests indicate that the proposed h-adaptive method is capable of saving the computational cost and enhancing the resolution near the discontinuities.In this paper,we apply this h-adaptive method to solve Hamilton-Jacobi equations,with an objective of enhancing the resolution near the discontinuities of the solution derivatives.One-and two-dimensional numerical examples are shown to illustrate the capability of the method.Hongqiang Zhu Jianxian Qiu 2013Numerical Mathematics(Theory,Methods and Applications)2013,6,4:0
