3Experimental Study on Emission Performance of an LPP/TVC显示文摘A key issue in the commercial aircraft engine design is environmental acceptability, and designers are continually challenged to reduce emissions. In this paper, an experimental investigation is performed to evaluate the emission performance of a liquid-fueled trapped vortex combustor (TVC) under lean premixed prevaporized (LPP) mode. When operating as an LPP system, a TVC is fueled both in the cavities and in the main stream. The correlations between the emission performance and the total excess air ratio, the positions (4 positions) of the fuel injectors in the main stream, and the inlet temperature are obtained. Experi- mental results show that both the volume concentrations of unburnt hydrocarbon (UHC) and NOx (NO, NO2 usually grouped together as NOx) increase with the increase of total excess air ratio from 1.5 to 3.0; the emission performance relies heavily on the position of the main stream injector, and the best performance is achieved at Position 4 in the experiments; the increase of the inlet temperature impacts on the emission performance positively; the smallest volume concentrations of UHC and NOx obtained in the experiment are 94×10 6 and 2.3×10 6 respectively. 4Design and Performance of an Improved Trapped Vortex Combustor显示文摘A trapped vortex combustor (TVC) has been a very promising novel concept for it offers improvements in lean blow out, altitude relight, operating range, as well as a potential to decrease NOx emissions compared to conventional combustors. The present paper discusses the improved designs of the new combustor over the prior ones of our research group, including that:a) the over-all dimensions, both axial and radial, are reduced to those of an actual aero-engine combustor; b) the air flow distribution is optimized, and especially 15% of the air is fed into the liner as cooling air; c) a straight-wall diffuser with divergence angle 9°is added. A series of experiments (cavity-fueled only, under atmospheric pressure) has been conducted to investigate the performance of the improved TVC. Experimental results show that at the inlet temperature of 523 K, the inlet pressure of 0.1 MPa, stable operation of the TVC test rig is observed for the Mach number 0.15-0.34, indicating good flame stability; the combustion efficiency obtained in this paper falls into the range of 60%-96%; as the total excess air ratio increases, the combustion efficiency decreases, while the increase of the inlet temperature is beneficial to high combustion efficiency; besides, the optimal Mach numbers for high combustion efficiency under different inlet conditions are confirmed. The outlet temperature profiles feature a bottom in the midheight of the exit. 6Ultrathin zinc selenide nanosheet-based intercalation hybrid coupled with CdSe quantum dots showing enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction显示文摘Fabrication of well-designed heterojunctions is an extraordinarily attractive pathway for boosting the photocatalytic activity toward CO_(2) photoreduction.Herein,a novel kind of na nosheet-based intercalation hybrid coupled with CdSe quantum dots(QDs) was successfully fabricated by a facile solvothermal method and served as photocatalyst for full-spectrum-light-driven CO_(2) reduction.Ultra-small CdSe QDs were rationally in-situ introduced and coupled with lamellar ZnSe-intercalation hybrid nanosheet,resulting in the formation of CdSe Q.Ds/ZnSe hybrid heterojunction.Significantly,the concentration of Cd^(2+) could change directly the crystallinity and micromorphology of ZnSe intercalation hybrid,which in turn would impact on the photocatalysis activity.The optimized CdSe QDs/ZnSe hybrid-5 composite demonstrated a considerable CO yield rate of the 25.6 μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) without any additional cocatalysts or sacrificial agents assisting,making it one of the best reported performance toward CO_(2) photoreduction under full-spectrum light.The elevated CO_(2) photoreduction activity could be attributed to the special surface heterojunction,leading to improving the ability of light absorption and promoting the separation/transfer of photogenerated carriers.This present study developed a new strategy for designing inorganic-organic heterojunctions with enhanced photocatalyst for CO_(2) photoreduction and provided an available way to simultaneously mitigate the greenhouse effect and alleviate energy shortage pressure.Zejun Zhao Zailun Liu Zhixiao Zhu Fang Wang Fei Teng Wenjun Jiang Yong Yang 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,8:2

8Scattered seeding of CAR T cells in solid tumors augments anticancer efficacy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T cell(CAR T) therapy was a milestone in the treatment of relapsed and refractory B cell malignancies. However, beneficial effects of CAR T cells have not been obtained in solid tumors yet. Herein, we implement a porous microneedle patch that accommodates CAR T cells and allows in situ penetration-mediated seeding of CAR T cells when implanted in the tumor bed or in the post-surgical resection cavity. CAR T cells loaded in the pores of the microneedle tips were readily escorted to the tumor in an evenly scattered manner without losing their activity. Such microneedle-mediated local delivery enhanced infiltration and immunostimulation of CAR T cells as compared to direct intratumoral injection. 17Temporal and spatial stability of the EM/PM molecular subtypes in adult diffuse glioma显示文摘Detailed characterizations of genomic alterations have not identified subtype-specific vulnerabilities in adult gliomas. Mapping gliomas into developmental programs may uncover new vulnerabilities that are not strictly related to genomic alterations. After identifying conserved gene modules co-expressed with EGFR or PDGFRA (EM or PM), we recently proposed an EM/PM classification scheme for adult gliomas in a histological subtype- and grade-independent manner. By using cohorts of bulk samples, paired primary and recurrent samples, multi-region samples from the same glioma, single-cell RNA-seq samples, and clinical samples, we here demonstrate the temporal and spatial stability of the EM and PM subtypes. The EM and PM subtypes, which progress in a subtype-specific mode, are robustly maintained in paired longitudinal samples. Elevated activities of cell proliferation, genomic instability and microenvironment, rather than subtype switching, mark recurrent gliomas. Within individual gliomas, the EM/PM subtype was preserved across regions and single cells. Malignant cells in the EM and PM gliomas were correlated to neural stem cell and oligodendrocyte progenitor cell compartment, respectively. Thus, while genetic makeup may change during progression and/or within different tumor areas, adult gliomas evolve within a neurodevelopmental framework of the EM and PM molecular subtypes. 18Basic fibroblast growth factor gene transfection in repair of internal carotid artery aneurysm wall显示文摘Surgery or interventional therapy has some risks in the treatment of cerebral aneurysm. We established an internal carotid artery aneurysm model by dripping elastase in the crotch of the right internal and external carotid arteries of New Zealand rabbits. Following model induction, lentivirus carrying basic fibroblast growth factor was injected through the ear vein. We found that the longer the action time of the lentivirus, the smaller the aneurysm volume. Moreover, platelet-derived growth factor expression in the aneurysm increased, but smooth muscle 22 alpha and hypertension-related gene 1 mRNA expression decreased. At 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks following model establishment, following 1 week of injection of lentivirus carrying basic fibroblast growth factor, the later the intervention time, the more severe the blood vessel damage, and the bigger the aneurysm volume, the lower the smooth muscle 22 alpha and hypertension-related gene 1 mRNA expression. Simultaneously, platelet-derived growth factor expression decreased. 19TATA-box binding protein-associated factor 2 regulates grain size in rice显示文摘Grain size,characterized by a combination of grain length,width,and thickness,is one of the major determinants of yield in rice.The present study identified TATA-box binding protein-associated factor 2(TAF2)as an essential component regulating transcription and determining grain size in rice.Map-based cloning showed that a G/T substitution in TAF2 resulted in a naturally occurring mutant called reduced grain size and plant height 1(rgh1).The mutants,with weak edited rgh1 alleles,exhibited a small grain phenotype with reduced grain length and width,while the severe knockout mutant(rgh1-2s)was dwarf and completely sterile.Allelic test performed between rgh1 and several edited alleles confirmed that the mutation in TAF2 caused the rgh1 phenotype.GUS staining showed that TAF2 was mainly expressed in the vascular bundles of roots,stems,leaves,and grains.The cytological analysis revealed that reduced cell division in the glumes resulted in the small grain phenotype of rgh1.Further RNA-sequencing detected altered expression of genes involved in the basic biological processes in rgh1 mutant.These findings provide novel insights into the TAF2-mediated genetic mechanism regulating grain size in rice.Ling Jiang Ning Jiang Zejun Hu Xuejun Sun Xian Xiang Yahui Liu Mingwei Wu Chunming Liu Xiaojin Luo 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:0
20Novel 2D CaCl crystals with metallicity, room-temperature ferromagnetism, heterojunction, piezoelectricity-like property and monovalent calcium ions显示文摘Under ambient conditions,the only known valence state of calcium ions is+2,and the corresponding crystals with calcium ions are insulating and nonferromagnetic.Here,using cryo-electron microscopy,we report direct observation of two-dimensional(2D)CaCl crystals on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)membranes,in which the calcium ions are only monovalent(i.e.+1).Remarkably,metallic rather than insulating properties are displayed by those CaCl crystals.More interestingly,room-temperature ferromagnetism,graphene-CaCl heterojunction,coexistence of piezoelectricity-like property and metallicity,as well as the distinct hydrogen storage and release capability of the CaCl crystals in rGO membranes are experimentally demonstrated.We note that such CaCl crystals are obtained by simply incubating rGO membranes in salt solutions below the saturated concentration,under ambient conditions.Theoretical studies suggest that the formation of those abnormal crystals is attributed to the strong cation-πinteractions of the Ca cations with the aromatic rings in the graphene surfaces.The findings highlight the realistic potential applications of such abnormal CaCl material with unusual electronic properties in designing novel transistors and magnetic devices,hydrogen storage,catalyzers,high-performance conducting electrodes and sensors,with a size down to atomic scale.Lei Zhang Guosheng Shi Bingquan Peng Pengfei Gao Liang Chen Ni Zhong Liuhua Mu Lijuan Zhang Peng Zhang Lu Gou Yimin Zhao Shanshan Liang Jie Jiang Zejun Zhang Hongtao Ren Xiaoling Lei Ruobing Yi Yinwei Qiu Yufeng Zhang Xing Liu Minghong Wu Long Yan Chungang Duan Shengli Zhang Haiping Fang 2021National Science Review2021,8,7:0
