| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 2 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 4 | Effect of treatment course of comprehensive intervention with Traditional Chinese Medicine on mortality of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome patients treated with combined antiretroviral therapy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of a treatment course of comprehensive intervention with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) on the mortality of patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS) treated with combined antiretroviral therapy(c ART).METHODS:AIDS patients who had taken c ART in a national TCM human immunodeficiency virus treatment trial program(NTCMTP) before 2009 were enrolled in this study and followed for 36 months from November 2009.Patients enrolled in the NTCMTP in 2004 were taken as the first group,those enrolled in 2006 as the second group,and those enrolled in 2009 as the third group.Cumulative survival rates were calculated by the life table method.Survival curves for subgroups were compared by the log-rank test.Hazard ratios were calculated with a Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS:A total of 1443 AIDS patients were followed for 3 years(4198 person-years).During this period,91(6.3%) patients died and 13(0.9%) were lost to follow-up.The total mortality rate was 2.17/100 person-years.The mortality rate of patients enrolled in the NTCMTP in 2004 was 1.49/100 person-years,which was lower than that of patients enrolled in 2006(2.23/100 person-years) and 2009(3.48/100 person-years).After adjusting for other factors,a shorter time of treatment with TCM,male sex,older age,lower CD4 + T-cell counts,and long-term treatment with c ART were risk factors of mortality.CONCLUSION:Long-term treatment with TCM decreased the mortality risk of AIDS patients.Factors such as being male,older age,CD4+ T-cell counts,and time of treatment with TCM and c ART were correlated with mortality. | Guo Huijun Wang Jian Li Zhengwei Jiang Ziqiang Xu Qianlei Xu Liran | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 9 |
| 5 | FEW-NNN: A Fuzzy Entropy Weighted Natural Nearest Neighbor Method for Flow-Based Network Traffic Attack Detection显示文摘Attacks such as APT usually hide communication data in massive legitimate network traffic, and mining structurally complex and latent relationships among flow-based network traffic to detect attacks has become the focus of many initiatives. Effectively analyzing massive network security data with high dimensions for suspicious flow diagnosis is a huge challenge. In addition, the uneven distribution of network traffic does not fully reflect the differences of class sample features, resulting in the low accuracy of attack detection. To solve these problems, a novel approach called the fuzzy entropy weighted natural nearest neighbor(FEW-NNN) method is proposed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of flowbased network traffic attack detection. First, the FEW-NNN method uses the Fisher score and deep graph feature learning algorithm to remove unimportant features and reduce the data dimension. Then, according to the proposed natural nearest neighbor searching algorithm(NNN_Searching), the density of data points, each class center and the smallest enclosing sphere radius are determined correspondingly. Finally, a fuzzy entropy weighted KNN classification method based on affinity is proposed, which mainly includes the following three steps: 1、 the feature weights of samples are calculated based on fuzzy entropy values, 2、 the fuzzy memberships of samples are determined based on affinity among samples, and 3、 K-neighbors are selected according to the class-conditional weighted Euclidean distance, the fuzzy membership value of the testing sample is calculated based on the membership of k-neighbors, and then all testing samples are classified according to the fuzzy membership value of the samples belonging to each class;that is, the attack type is determined. The method has been applied to the problem of attack detection and validated based on the famous KDD99 and CICIDS-2017 datasets. | 6 | A DGA domain names detection modeling method based on integrating an attention mechanism and deep neural network显示文摘Command and control(C2)servers are used by attackers to operate communications.To perform attacks,attackers usually employee the Domain Generation Algorithm(DGA),with which to confirm rendezvous points to their C2 servers by generating various network locations.The detection of DGA domain names is one of the important technologies for command and control communication detection.Considering the randomness of the DGA domain names,recent research in DGA detection applyed machine learning methods based on features extracting and deep learning architectures to classify domain names.However,these methods are insufficient to handle wordlist-based DGA threats,which generate domain names by randomly concatenating dictionary words according to a special set of rules.In this paper,we proposed a a deep learning framework ATT-CNN-BiLSTMfor identifying and detecting DGA domains to alleviate the threat.Firstly,the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(BiLSTM)neural network layer was used to extract the features of the domain sequences information;secondly,the attention layer was used to allocate the corresponding weight of the extracted deep information from the domain names.Finally,the different weights of features in domain names were put into the output layer to complete the tasks of detection and classification.Our extensive experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model,both on regular DGA domains and DGA that hard to detect such as wordlist-based and part-wordlist-based ones.To be precise,we got a F1 score of 98.79%for the detection and macro average precision and recall of 83%for the classification task of DGA domain names. | Fangli Ren Zhengwei Jiang Xuren Wang Jian Liu | 2020 | Cybersecurity2020,3,1: | 4 |
| 7 | RNAi-mediated suppression of the abscisic acid catabolism gene Os ABA8ox1 increases abscisic acid content and tolerance to saline–alkaline stress in rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Saline–alkaline(SA) stress is characterized by high salinity and high alkalinity(high p H), which severely inhibit plant growth and cause huge losses in crop yields worldwide. Here we show that a moderate elevation of endogenous abscisic acid(ABA) levels by RNAi-mediated suppression of Os ABA8 ox1(Os ABA8 ox1-kd), a key ABA catabolic gene, significantly increased tolerance to SA stress in rice plants. We produced Os ABA8 ox1-kd lines in two different japonica cultivars, Dongdao 4 and Nipponbare. Compared with nontransgenic control plants(WT), the Os ABA8 ox1-kd seedlings accumulated 25.9%–55.7% higher levels of endogenous ABA and exhibited reduced plasmalemma injury, ROS accumulation and Na;/K;ratio, and higher survival rates, under hydroponic alkaline conditions simulated by 10, 15, and 20 mmol L-1 of Na;CO;. In pot trials using SA field soils of different alkali levels(p H 7.59, 8.86, and 9.29), Os ABA8 ox1–kd plants showed markedly higher seedling survival rates and more vigorous plant growth, resulting in significantly higher yield components including panicle number(85.7%–128.6%), spikelets per panicle(36.9%–61.9%), branches(153.9%–236.7%), 1000–kernel weight(20.0%–28.6%), and percentage of filled spikelets(96.6%–1340.8%) at harvest time. | 12 | Green Synthesis of Mechanical Robust Superhydrophobic CNT@PU Coatings with High Flexibility for Extensive Applications显示文摘Superhydrophobic coatings with high flexibility and mechanical durability can well address many practical application problems.To this end,we proposed and fabricated a kind of bio-based superhydrophobic(multi-walled carbon nanotubes)CNT@PU(polyurethane)coatings.It was demonstrated that the CNT@PU coatings with 64%soft segment content possessed the preferable bonding strength(5B)with metal substrates.The multi-walled carbon nanotubes,as additive materials,were used to construct the microscopic structures of the coating surfaces,which made polyurethane surface superhydrophobic(water contact angle being 156.9°,and water sliding angle being 4.3°).Furthermore,the high bonding strength between CNT and coating matrix led to robust mechanical durability of supertiydrophobic CNT@PU coatings,and the coatings remained superhydrophobicity after 10 cycles of abrasion under 100 g load pressure.Also,the superhydrophobic coatings could well resist 5 cycles of tape-peeling action,and presented outstanding flexibility.The supernydrophobic CNT@PU coatings with high flexibility and mechanical durability could be applied to various substrates suggesting their big potential in future real-world application. | Zhengwei Wu Yizhou Shen Jie Tao Zhenfeng Jia Haifeng Chen Jiawei Jiang Zhen Wang | 2021 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,1: | 1 |

| 19 | TriCTI:an actionable cyber threat intelligence discovery system via trigger-enhanced neural network显示文摘The cybersecurity report provides unstructured actionable cyber threat intelligence(CTI)with detailed threat attack procedures and indicators of compromise(IOCs),e.g.,malware hash or URL(uniform resource locator)of command and control server.The actionable CTI,integrated into intrusion detection systems,can not only prioritize the most urgent threats based on the campaign stages of attack vectors(i.e.,IOCs)but also take appropriate mitigation measures based on contextual information of the alerts.However,the dramatic growth in the number of cybersecurity reports makes it nearly impossible for security professionals to find an efficient way to use these massive amounts of threat intelligence.In this paper,we propose a trigger-enhanced actionable CTI discovery system(TriCTI)to portray a relationship between IOCs and campaign stages and generate actionable CTI from cybersecurity reports through natural language processing(NLP)technology.Specifically,we introduce the“campaign trigger”for an effective explanation of the campaign stages to improve the performance of the classification model.The campaign trigger phrases are the keywords in the sentence that imply the campaign stage.The trained final trigger vectors have similar space representations with the keywords in the unseen sentence and will help correct classification by increasing the weight of the keywords.We also meticulously devise a data augmentation specifically for cybersecurity training sets to cope with the challenge of the scarcity of annotation data sets.Compared with state-of-the-art text classification models,such as BERT,the trigger-enhanced classification model has better performance with accuracy(86.99%)and F1 score(87.02%).We run TriCTI on more than 29k cybersecurity reports,from which we automatically and efficiently collect 113,543 actionable CTI.In particular,we verify the actionability of discovered CTI by using large-scale field data from VirusTotal(VT).The results demonstrate that the threat intelligence provided by VT lacks a part of the threat context for IOCs,such as the Actions on Objectives campaign stage.As a comparison,our proposed method can completely identify the actionable CTI in all campaign stages.Accordingly,cyber threats can be identified and resisted at any campaign stage with the discovered actionable CTI. | Jian Lu Junjie Yan Jun Jiang Yitong He Xuren Wang Zhengwei jiang Peian Yang Ning Li | 2022 | Cybersecurity2022,5,3: | 1 |
