1Three-dimensional chiral microstructures fabricated by structured optical vortices in isotropic material显示文摘Optical vortices,a type of structured beam with helical phase wavefronts and‘doughnut’-shaped intensity distributions,have been used to fabricate chiral structures in metals and spiral patterns in anisotropic polarization-dependent azobenzene polymers.However,in isotropic polymers,the fabricated microstructures are typically confined to non-chiral cylindrical geometry due to the two-dimensional‘doughnut’-shaped intensity profile of the optical vortices.Here we develop a powerful strategy to realize chiral microstructures in isotropic material by coaxial interference of a vortex beam and a plane wave,which produces threedimensional(3D)spiral optical fields.These coaxial interference beams are generated by designing contrivable holograms consisting of an azimuthal phase and an equiphase loaded on a liquid-crystal spatial light modulator.In isotropic polymers,3D chiral microstructures are achieved under illumination using coaxial interference femtosecond laser beams with their chirality controlled by the topological charge.Our further investigation reveals that the spiral lobes and chirality are caused by interfering patterns and helical phase wavefronts,respectively.This technique is simple,stable and easy to perform,and it offers broad applications in optical tweezers,optical communications and fast metamaterial fabrication.Jincheng Ni Chaowei Wang Chenchu Zhang Yanlei Hu Liang Yang Zhaoxin Lao Bing Xu Jiawen Li Dong Wu Jiaru Chu 2017Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1:28
2Quasi-phase-matching-division multiplexing holography in a three-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystal显示文摘Nonlinear holography has recently emerged as a novel tool to reconstruct the encoded information at a new wavelength,which has important applications in optical display and optical encryption.However,this scheme still struggles with low conversion efficiency and ineffective multiplexing.In this work,we demonstrate a quasi-phasematching(QPM)-division multiplexing holography in a three-dimensional(3D)nonlinear photonic crystal(NPC).3D NPC works as a nonlinear hologram,in which multiple images are distributed into different Ewald spheres in reciprocal space.The reciprocal vectors locating in a given Ewald sphere are capable of fulfilling the complete QPM conditions for the high-efficiency reconstruction of the target image at the second-harmonic(SH)wave.One can easily switch the reconstructed SH images by changing the QPM condition.The multiplexing capacity is scalable with the period number of 3D NPC.Our work provides a promising strategy to achieve highly efficient nonlinear multiplexing holography for high-security and high-density storage of optical information.Pengcheng Chen Chaowei Wang Dunzhao Wei Yanlei Hu Xiaoyi Xu Jiawen Li Dong Wu Jianan Ma Shengyun Ji Leran Zhang Liqun Xu Tianxin Wang Chuan Xu Jiaru Chu Shining Zhu Min Xiao Yong Zhang 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,8:5
3Using irrigation intervals to optimize water-use efficiency and maize yield in Xinjiang,northwest China显示文摘Worldwide, scarce water resources and substantial food demands require efficient water use and high yield.This study investigated whether irrigation frequency can be used to adjust soil moisture to increase grain yield and water use efficiency(WUE) of high-yield maize under conditions of mulching and drip irrigation.A field experiment was conducted using three irrigation intervals in 2016: 6, 9, and 12 days(labeled D6, D9, and D12) and five irrigation intervals in 2017: 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 days(D3, D6, D9, D12, and D15).In Xinjiang, an optimal irrigation quota is 540 mm for high-yield maize.The D3, D6, D9, D12, and D15 irrigation intervals gave grain yields of 19.7, 19.1–21.0, 18.8–20.0, 18.2–19.2, and 17.2 Mg ha^-1 and a WUE of 2.48, 2.53–2.80, 2.47–2.63, 2.34–2.45, and 2.08 kg m-3, respectively.Treatment D6 led to the highest soil water storage, but evapotranspiration and soil-water evaporation were lower than other treatments.These results show that irrigation interval D6 can help maintain a favorable soil-moisture environment in the upper-60-cm soil layer, reduce soilwater evaporation and evapotranspiration, and produce the highest yield and WUE.In this arid region and in other regions with similar soil and climate conditions, a similar irrigation interval would thus be beneficial for adjusting soil moisture to increase maize yield and WUE under conditions of mulching and drip irrigation.Guoqiang Zhang Dongping Shen Bo Ming Ruizhi Xie Xiuliang Jin Chaowei Liu Peng Hou Jun Xue Jianglu Chen Wanxu Zhang Wanmao Liu Keru Wang Shaokun Li 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,3:4

6Alterations in cecal microbiota of Jinhua piglets fostered by a Yorkshire sow显示文摘Gut microbiota play important roles in host health and diseases.Several factors,in particular antibiotics,affect the gut microbiota of pigs.Cross-fostering has been applied as a regular practice to equalize litter size,reduce pre-weaning mortality and increase body weight.However,the effect of cross-fostering on cecal microbiota is unclear.In this study,we fostered three Jinhua pigs to a Yorkshire sow.The fostered Jinhua piglets grew significantly faster than their biological siblings.To explore whether the cecal microbiota of piglets will alter during fostering,we characterized the cecal microbiota of allpiglets by examining the V3 hypervariable region of 16S rDNA.We observed altered cecal microbiota in these piglets using the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform,and this was accompanied with an increase in growth rate after fostering.The relative abundance of Bacteroidetes in the fostered Jinhua piglets was decreased compared with their biological siblings,although still higher in comparison with their new littermates.Beta-diversity analysis also showed that the cecal microbiota of the adopted Jinhua piglets differed from their biological siblings with a shift toward their step-siblings.Our data show that cecal microbiota of piglets were altered after cross-fostering while the growth rate increased.Lingjin Xian Ying Li Zhi Jiang Jideng Ma Long Jin Lei Chen Chaowei Zhou Jie Zhang Yingkai Liu Li Zhu An-an Jiang Guoqing Tang Jian Xiao Jinyong Wang Bo Zeng Mingzhou Li Xuewei Li 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,32:4

8Engineering self-healing adhesive hydrogels with antioxidant properties for intrauterine adhesion prevention显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion (IUA) is the fibrosis within the uterine cavity. It is the second most common cause of female infertility, significantly affecting women’s physical and mental health. Current treatment strategies fail to provide a satisfactory therapeutic outcome for IUA patients, leaving an enormous challenge for reproductive science. A self-healing adhesive hydrogel with antioxidant properties will be highly helpful in IUA prevention. In this work, we prepare a series of self-healing hydrogels (P10G15, P10G20, and P10G25) with antioxidant and adhesive properties. Those hydrogels exhibit good self-healing properties and can adapt themselves to different structures. They possess good injectability and fit the shape of the human uterus. Moreover, the hydrogels exhibit good tissue adhesiveness, which is desirable for stable retention and therapeutic efficacy. The in vitro experiments using P10G20 show that the adhesive effectively scavenges ABTS+, DPPH, and hydroxyl radicals, rescuing cells from oxidative stress. In addition, P10G20 offers good hemocompatibility and in vitro and in vivo biocompatibility. Furthermore, P10G20 lowers down the in vivo oxidative stress and prevents IUA with less fibrotic tissue and better endometrial regeneration in the animal model. It can effectively downregulate fibrosis-related transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). 11A method of forced extrapolation of the global magnetic field in the solar corona显示文摘We present a method of forced-field(i.e., non-force-free field: NFFF) extrapolation of the global magnetic field in the corona, on the basis of single-layer vector magnetogram, by extending an extrapolation technique of local magnetic field first developed by Hu et al.(2008). The forced coronal magnetic field is described by a system with the minimum dissipation rate(MDR) which is appropriate for the corona as a forced and open system. The obtained solution of the magnetic field can be decomposed into three components including one potential field and two linear force-free fields(LFFF). Starting from the given single-layer vector magnetogram, the bottom boundary condition for each component is determined with an iterative method to achieve a minimum difference of the transverse component between the extrapolated field and the original magnetogram. The final extrapolated forced field is given by the sum of the three component fields with the obtained bottom boundaries. The method is tested with an analytic magnetohydrostatic(MHS) solution. It is shown that the extrapolated forced field is highly consistent with the MHS solution at least from the solar disk to the heliocentric distance of 1.5 solar radii(R⊙). For instance, the complements of normalized and mean vector errors(E’n, E’m) are as high as ~97% and 95%, respectively. 12Enhanced blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence of BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12)∶Ce3+,Bi3+phosphors for AC-LEDs via defect modulation显示文摘Alternating current light-emitting diodes(AC-LEDs)have received significant attention from both academia and industry due to their remarkable benefits of more compact volume,cheaper manufacturing cost,greater energy usage efficiency,and longer service life.One of the most significant challenges for AC-LEDs is the flicker effect,which is mainly caused by the unavoidable 5-20 ms dimming time.Aiming to reduce the flicker effect,we designed a series of excellent blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence(PersL)phosphors BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12)∶Ce^(3+),Bi^(3+)via defect engineering of co-doping Bi^(3+).Interestingly,we found that co-doping Bi^(3+)not only effectively enhanced the PersL intensity,but also regulated the PersL lifetime of this phosphors.As the Bi^(3+)co-doping concentration increases to 0.01,the T80 value(the time when the PersL intensity decreases to 80%of the initial intensity)increases from 0.24 to 19.61 ms,which proves to be effective in compensating the flicker effect of AC-LEDs.A new method of generating white light emission during the dimming time through adding the blue-light excited cyan PersL phosphor to the original orange-red PersL phosphor was proposed and an AC-LED lamp with a decreased percent flicker of 48.15%was fabricated,which is significantly better than the other currently reported AC-LED devices based on PersL phosphors.These results demonstrate that BaLu_(2)Al_(2)Ga_(2)SiO_(12):Ce^(3+),Bi^(3+)might be an attractive material for low-flicker AC-LEDs.Weihong Yuan Ran Pang Shangwei Wang Tao Tan Chengyu Li Chaowei Wang Hongjie Zhang 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7:2

15Interaction between XRCC1 Polymorphisms and Intake of Long-Term Stored Rice in the Risk of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma:A Case-Control Study显示文摘Objective This study aimed to explore the roles of three common single nucleotide polymorphisms in the X‐ray repair cross‐complementing group‐1 gene (XRCC1) and of life style factors and their possible interactions in the risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in China.Methods A population‐based case‐control study of 432 cases and 915 controls was conducted in Yangzhong County,Jiangsu Province,China.Subjects were interviewed by trained interviewers using a structured questionnaire that included questions on demographics and life style.XRCC1 genotypes were analyzed using a polymerase chain reaction based restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR‐RFLP) assay.Unconditional logistic regression analysis was used to calculate adjusted odds ratios (aORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for associations of ESCC with XRCC1 polymorphisms and lifestyle‐related factors.Results Both the drinking of river water and alcohol intake history were significantly associated with an increased risk of ESCC among men with aORs of 4.20 (95% CI:2.90‐6.07) and 2.03 (95% CI:1.43‐2.89),respectively.For women,the corresponding odds ratios were 8.37 (95% CI:5.09‐13.75) for river water drinking and 12.78 (95% CI:2.69‐60.69) for long‐term stored rice intake.After the XRCC1 G28152A polymorphism was adjusted for potential confounders,subjects with GA and AA genotypes had an increased risk for ESCC (aOR:1.21,95% CI:0.93‐1.56),compared with subjects with a GG genotype,and a positive multiplicative interaction between intake of long‐term stored rice and the XRCC1 G28152A polymorphism was observed (P=0.009).Conclusions Our findings suggest that both lifestyle‐related factors,including drinking river water,long‐term stored rice and alcohol intake,and the XRCC1 G28152A polymorphism were possible risk factors for ESCC,and that the XRCC1 G28152A polymorphism modified the effect of long‐term stored rice intake on the risk of ESCC among Chinese people.YU HongJie FU ChaoWei WANG JianMing XUE HengChuan XU Biao 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3:2
16A SDN-Based Energy Saving Strategy in Wireless Access Networks显示文摘This paper investigates on the base stations(BSs) sleeping control and energy saving in wireless network. The objective is to find the sleeping control and energy saving configuration between total power consumption and average video's quality. On the Software Defined Network(SDN) access network architecture, a type of sleeping control and active BSs' optimal transmitting time strategy is considered, the BS sleeps when there is no active users, and wakes up after a period of vacation time. In this paper, we study the active users grouping strategy, In order to spare more BSs into sleeping mode. Then this paper proposes an active BS transmitting time optimal strategy according to the users' Qo S. In the proposed strategy, the active BSs' transmitting time is minimized in order to save energy. This paper employs the mixed integer-programming model to present this optimization problem. Then we utilized a novel algorithm to save the energy in access networks and also meet the Qo S requirements. 20Mechanical-robust and recyclable polyimide substrates coordinated with cyclic Ti-oxo cluster for flexible organic solar cells显示文摘With the rapid development of flexible optoelectronic devices,recyclability is highly desirable for alleviating resource waste and environmental pollution,but remains challenging.Here,a fully closed-loop recyclable crosslinked polyimide(RCPI)was fabricated via carboxyl ligand exchange between the CPI with pendent carboxyl groups and the cyclic Ti-oxo cluster(CTOC)with labile carboxyl ligands,which could be reconverted into reprocessable CPI and CTOC solution by pivalic acid.The RCPI-based embedded AgNWs@RCPI electrode shows comparable high conductivity,transparency and low roughness with ITO(indium tin oxide)/glass electrode,and meanwhile outstanding mechanical robustness.The related flexible organic solar cells(FOSCs)provided a high efficiency of 14.78% and maintained~97% of the initial efficiency after 5000 bending cycles at a small bending radius of 1 mm.Moreover,the recyclability of the RCPI still retains after being manufactured into the FOSCs.This work provides a promising strategy for recyclable flexible optoelectronic devices.Guangcong Zhang Qiaomei Chen Chengcheng Xie Yongmei Wang Chaowei Zhao Chengyi Xiao Yen Wei Weiwei Li 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:1
