| 1 | Epidemiological and risk analysis of the H7N9 subtype influenza outbreak in China at its early stage显示文摘Dozens of human cases infected with H7N9 subtype avian influenza virus (AIV) have been confirmed in China since March, 2013. Distribution data of sexes, ages, professions and regions of the cases were analyzed in this report. The results showed that the elderly cases, especially the male elderly, were significantly more than expected, which is different from human cases of H5N1 avian influenza and human cases of the pandemic H1N1 influenza. The outbreak was rated as a Grade Ⅲ (severe) outbreak, and it would evolve into a Grade IV (very severe) outbreak soon, using a method reported previously. The H7N9 AIV will probably circulate in humans, birds and pigs for years. Moreover, with the driving force of natural selection, the virus will probably evolve into highly pathogenic AIV in birds, and into a deadly pandemic influenza virus in humans. Therefore, the H7N9 outbreak has been assumed severe, and it is likely to become very or extremely severe in the future, highlighting the emergent need of forceful scientific measures to eliminate any infected animal flocks. | 3 | Surface coal mining impacts on land use change and ecological service value:a case study in Shengli coalfield,Inner Mongolia显示文摘Coal plays a crucial role in global economic development and remains the most common and widely distributed fossil fuel worldwide.As the world's largest developing country,China's mining and utilization of coal resources have contributed signifcantly to the country’s rapid economic growth.Inner Mongolia is an ecologically fragile arid and semi-arid area of China.The exploitation of opencast mining has seriously hindered the sustainable use of regional land and the residents'well-being.Using ENVI-based remote sensing images from 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020,this study employed a random forest algorithm to divide land utilization types into construction land,vegetation,cultivated land,bare land,and water areas and analyzed the characteristics of land use and ecosystem service value changes over the past 20 years.The results were as follows:(1)Construction land in the mining area changed minimally from 2000 to 2020;vegetation and water bodies showed a decreasing trend,whereas bare and cultivated lands showed an increasing trend.Bare land exhibited the largest change in area proportion and water bodies the smallest.(2)The total ecosystem service value of the mining area declined from 10.939 to 9.527 billion Yuan.Vegetation ecosystem service value was the highest,followed by cultivated land and water,with the bare land ecosystem service value the lowest.(3)On a spatial scale,the total ecosystem service value of the Shengli mining area decreased year by year,indicating that land use changes in the mining area do have an impact on ecosystem service value. | Lijia Zhang Xu Zhou Yan Zhou Ji Zhou Jiwang Guo Zihan Zhai Yan Chen Xiangyan Su Lingxiao Ying Liwei Wang Ying Qiao | 2022 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2022,9,5: | 1 |

| 10 | High sodium causes hypertension: evidence from clinical trials and animal experiments显示文摘Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease affecting approximately one out of every seven people worldwide. High-sodium consumption has been generally accepted as a risk factor for developing hypertension. Today, global sodium consumption greatly exceeds guidelines recommended by all medical institutions. This review synthesizes the data of landmark mammalian and human studies which investigated the role of sodium in the pathogenesis of hypertension, along with modern studies questioning this relationship. Recent studies concerning the potential pathways by which high-sodium concentration induces hypertension were reviewed. Human trials and population studies revealed a strong correlation between high blood pressure and average dietary sodium; and animal studies found a dramatic reduction in vascular function in a variety of mammals treated with high-sodium diets. | 11 | Differences in Carbon Nutrition between On-season and Off-season Longan during the Flowering Process显示文摘Flower-bud differentiation is the most critical stage of fruit yield formation,as well as a complicated carbon transfer process. To understand the changes of carbon during the flower bud differentiation process of longan,it is very important to adopt suitable planting measures and control flowering time. This study focused on the changes of sugar and starch content of on-season and off-season longan during the flowering process. | 18 | Analysis of Carbon Content in Off-season Flowering and Non-flowering Longan Trees显示文摘After flower induction,some longan trees can successfully blossom and bear fruit,while others with similar tree body status can only sprout leaf buds.In order to investigate the main reason for these differences,in this study,off-season flowering and non-flowering longan trees were used as experimental materials to analyze the changes of carbon content in mature leaves,tender leaves,mature shoots,tender shoots and terminal buds of longan trees after flower induction by potassium chlorate. The result showed that carbon content played an important role in flowering process. Off-season longan trees with carbon content in mature leaves reached 50. 93 mg /g could successfully blossom,but those with carbon content in mature leaves lower than 37. 40 mg /g were usually difficult to blossom. In addition,the maturity of tender leaves posed great influence on flowering. | 20 | Effects of H_2O_2 and NO on Flower Development and AP1 Gene Expression of Off-season Longan显示文摘[Objective] T his study aimed to investigate the effects of H_2O_2 and NO on flower development and AP1 gene expression of off-season longan. [Method] N ine-year-old off-season Chuliang longan was sprayed with enhancers and blockers of H_2O_2 and NO to analyze dynamic changes of flower development and AP1 expression. [Result] T he expression level of AP1 gene in off-season longan was improved during flower development. SNP and MV treatments up-regulated the expression level of AP1 gene in leaves and terminal buds to varying degrees during lateral primordium formation. Especially,SNP treatment exhibited the most remarkable effect. DMTU treatment significantly inhibited the expression of AP1 gene in leaves and terminal buds during lateral primordium formation. L-NNA treatment slightly inhibited the expression of AP1 gene in leaves and exerted no significant effect on expression of AP1 gene in terminal buds.
