2Labile Organic Matter Content and Distribution as Affected by Six-year Soil Amendments to Eroded Chinese Mollisols显示文摘Labile organic carbon(LOC)is a fraction of soil organic carbon(SOC)with rapid turnover time and is affected by soil fertilization.This investigation characterized the SOC content,LOC content and LOC distribution in the treatment plots of surface soil erosion at five levels(0-,5-,10-,20-and 30-cm erosion).The soil had received contrasting fertilizer treatments(i.e.,chemical fertilizer or chemical fertilizer+manure)for 6 years.This study demonstrated that both SOC and various LOC fractions contents were higher in the plots with fertilizer+manure than in those with fertilizer alone under the same erosion conditions.The SOC and LOC contents decreased as the erosion depth increased.Light fraction organic carbon,particulate organic carbon,easily oxidizable organic carbon(KMnO4-oxydizable organic carbon),and microbial biomass carbon were 27%–57%,37%–47%,20%–25%,and 29%–33%higher respectively in the fertilizer+manure plots,than in the fertilizer alone plots.Positive correlations(p<0.05)between SOC content and different fractions contents were observed in all plots except the correlation between total SOC content and water-soluble organic carbon content in the different fertilization treatments.Obviously,fertilizer+manure treatments would be conducive to the accumulation of LOC and SOC in the Black soil of Northeast China.SUI Yueyu JIAO Xiaoguang CHEN Wenting LIU Xiaobing ZHANG Xingyi DING Guangwei 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,6:7
3粪菌移植应用于慢传输型便秘的临床疗效及疗效影响因素:一项前瞻性研究的长期随访结果显示文摘背景和目的肠道菌群参与结肠动力的调控,菌群失调是便秘是病因之一。粪菌移植被证实可以恢复肠道平衡。本研究旨在评估粪菌移植治疗慢传输型便秘(STC)的临床疗效和预后影响因素。方法:52例STC患者接受标准的粪菌移植入组研究,对其进行至少6个月的随访。记录入组患者的排便习惯、结肠传输时间、便秘相关的症状(PAC-SYM评分)、生活质量(PAC-QOL评分)、治疗满意度和不良反应。主要疗效指标是平均每周完全自主排便≥3次的患者比例。结果:治疗后34周、912周、2124周,每周完全自主排便≥3次患者的比例分别为50.0%、38.5%和32.7%,均较治疗前显著提高(均P<0.01)。其他排便情况、结肠传输时间、便秘相关症状和生活质量方面,治疗后亦有显著改善;但这些短期改善在治疗后12周和24周逐渐减小。治疗前排便不尽是唯一的疗效影响因素。治疗和随访期间未发现任何治疗相关的不良反应。结论:本研究显示粪菌移植治疗STC安全有效,但远期疗效有所降低。治疗前排便不尽感较少甚至没有的患者接受粪菌移植的治疗效果更佳。Chao Ding Wenting Fan Lili Gu Hongliang Tian Xiaolong Ge Jianfeng Gong Yongzhan Nie Ning Li 2018Gastroenterology Report2018,6,2:7
4Identification of Key Genes for the Ultrahigh Yield of Rice Using Dynamic Cross-tissue Network Analysis显示文摘Significantly increasing crop yield is a major and worldwide challenge for food supply and security.It is well-known that rice cultivated at Taoyuan in Yunnan of China can produce the highest yield worldwide.Yet,the gene regulatory mechanism underpinning this ultrahigh yield has been a mystery.Here,we systematically collected the transcriptome data for seven key tissues at different developmental stages using rice cultivated both at Taoyuan as the case group and at another regular rice planting place Jinghong as the control group.We identified the top 24 candidate high-yield genes with their network modules from these well-designed datasets by developing a novel computational systems biology method,i.e.,dynamic cross-tissue(DCT)network analysis.We used one of the candidate genes,Os SPL4,whose function was previously unknown,for gene editing experimental validation of the high yield,and confirmed that Os SPL4 significantly affects panicle branching and increases the rice yield.This study,which included extensive field phenotyping,cross-tissue systems biology analyses,and functional validation,uncovered the key genes and gene regulatory networks underpinning the ultrahigh yield of rice.The DCT method could be applied to other plant or animal systems if different phenotypes under various environments with the common genome sequences of the examined sample.DCT can be downloaded from http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460ask5u6pvuc05fc6kcf.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/ztpub/DCT.Jihong Hu Tao Zeng Qiongmei Xia Liyu Huang Yesheng Zhang Chuanchao Zhang Yan Zeng Hui Liu Shilai Zhang Guangfu Huang Wenting Wan Yi Ding Fengyi Hu Congdang Yang Luonan Chen Wen Wang 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,3:2
5S100 protein expression during induced Schwann cell-like cell differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal cells in vitro显示文摘BACKGROUND: S100 protein can promote axonal growth. Therefore, transplantation of induced bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) that can secrete S100 may provide a beneficial microenvironment for neural regeneration. OBJECTIVE: To explore the changes in S100 expression during rat MSCs differentiation into Schwann cells in vitro. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: This cytology experiment was performed at the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Neuroregeneration, Nantong University in China, from January 2006 to May 2007. MATERIALS: The rabbit anti-S100 polyclonal antibody was purchased from Dako, Denmark; the mouse anti-rat S100 monoclonal antibody was purchased from Sigma, USA. METHODS: MSCs were cultured from adult Sprague-Dawley rat femur and tibia. Cell proliferation was determined by the MTT method and CD markers, and cell cycle was meas-ured by flow cytometry. MSCs were induced to differentiate into SC cells. SC cells were stained for S100 protein, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor. S100 protein and mRNA levels were evaluated by flow cytometry, Western blot, and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: S100 protein and mRNA expression. RESULTS: MSCs exhibited high amplification potential over eight passages. Prior to induction, the majority of MSCs were at the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle. After induction, MSCs displayed morphology changes similar to Schwann cells. Moreover, induction increased S100 mRNA levels. Immunofluorescence showed that MSCs expressed S100 protein, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor at 7 days of induction. Induction also increased S100 protein levels compared with untreated MSCs. 7Building stock market resilience through digital transformation:Using Google trends to analyze the impact of COVID-19 pandemic显示文摘As the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)pandemic rages globally,its impact has been felt in the stock markets around the world.Amidst the gloomy economic outlook,certain sectors seem to have survived better than others.This paper aims to investigate the sectors that have performed better even as market sentiment is affected by the pandemic.The daily closing stock prices of a total usable sample of 1,567 firms from 37 sectors are first an a lyzed using a combination of hierarchical clustering and shape-based distance(SBD)measures.Market sentiment is modeled from Google trends on the COVID-19 pandemic.This is then analyzed against the time series of daily closing stock prices using augmented vector autoregression(VAR).The empirical results indicate that market sentiment towards the pandemic has significant effects on the stock prices of the sectors.Particularly,the stock price performance across sectors is differentiated by the level of the digital transformation of sectors,with those that are most digitally transformed,showing resili ence towards negative market sentime nt on the pandemic.This study contributes to the existing literature by incorporating search trends to an a lyze market sentiment,and by showing that digital transformation moderated the stock market resilience of firms against concern over the COVID-19 outbreak.Ding Ding Chong Guan Calvin MLChan Wenting Liu 2020Frontiers of Business Research in China2020,14,3:1

10Study of the Relationship Between New Ionic Interaction Parameters and Salt Solubility in Electrolyte Solutions Based on Molecular Dynamics Simulation显示文摘Studying the relationship between ionic interactions and salt solubility in seawater has implications for seawater desalination and mineral extraction.In this paper,a new method of expressing ion-to-ion interaction is proposed by using molecular dynamics simulation,and the relationship between ion-to-ion interaction and salt solubility in a simulated seawater water-salt system is investigated.By analyzing the variation of distance and contact time between ions in an electrolyte solution,from both spatial and temporal perspectives,new parameters were proposed to describe the interaction between ions:interaction distance(ID),and interaction time ratio(ITR).The best correlation between characteristic time ratio and solubility was found for a molar ratio of salt-to-water of 10:100 with a correlation coefficient of 0.96.For the same salt,a positive correlation was found between CTR and the molar ratio of salt and water.For type 1-1,type 2-1,type 1-2,and type 2-2 salts,the correlation coefficients between CTR and solubility were 0.93,0.96,0.92,and 0.98 for a salt-to-water molar ratio of 10:100,respectively.The solubility of multiple salts was predicted by simulations and compared with experimental values,yielding an average relative deviation of 12.4%.The new ion-interaction parameters offer significant advantages in describing strongly correlated and strongly hydrated electrolyte solutions.SUN Wenting HU Yangdong ZHENG Jiahuan SUN Qichao Chen Xia DING Jiakun ZHANG Weitao WU Lianying 2024Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,2:0

13Propofol protects against high glucose-mediated endothelial injury via inhibition of COX2 and iNOS expressions显示文摘Perioperative hyperglycemia is a common metabolic disorder in the clinic.Hyperglycemia,via upregulation of E74-like ETS transcription factor 3(ELF3),induces cyclooxygenase 2(COX2)and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)expressions,thus leading to endothelial apoptosis and vascular endothelial injury.Propofol is a widely used anesthetic.In the present study,we explored whether and how propofol protects against high glucose-induced COX2 and iNOS expressions in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).We found that high glucose level decreases cell viability and increases COX2 and iNOS expressions in HUVECs.Our data also indicated that ELF3 overexpression participates in high glucose-mediated cell viability reduction and high glucose-induced COX2 and iNOS expressions.Moreover,propofol treatment improves high glucose-mediated reduction in cell viability and decreases COX2 and iNOS expressions via inhibition of ELF3 expressions.Furthermore,specificity protein 1(SP1)was found to regulate ELF3 expression,thus mediating endothelial injury.Propofol inhibits high glucose-induced SP1 expression.High glucose increases the abundance of SP1 bound to the ELF3 promoter,which can be reversed by propofol treatment.The protective effect of propofol is reversed by SP1 overexpression.In conclusion,propofol downregulates high glucose-induced SP1 expression,thus attenuating high glucose-induced ELF3 expression,inhibiting high glucose-induced COX2 and iNOS expressions,and improving high glucose-mediated cell viability reduction in HUVECs.Jiayun Shao Juan Ding Lihong Lu Wenting Hou Fei Wang Zhirong Sun Hui Jiang Yanjun Zhao 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,4:0
