| 1 | On-chip plasmonic spin-Hall nanograting for simultaneously detecting phase and polarization singularities显示文摘Phase and polarization singularities are important degrees of freedom for electromagnetic field manipulation.Detecting these singularities is essential for modern optics,but it is still a challenge,especially in integrated optical systems.In this paper,we propose an on-chip plasmonic spin-Hall nanograting structure that simultaneously detects both the polarization and phase singularities of the incident cylindrical vortex vector beam(CVVB).The nanograting is symmetry-breaking with different periods for the upper and lower parts,which enables the unidirectional excitation of the surface plasmon polariton depending on the topological charge of the incident optical vortex beam.Additionally,spin-Hall meta-slits are integrated onto the grating so that the structure has a chiral response for polarization detection.We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that the designed structure fully discriminates both the topological charges and polarization states of the incident beam simultaneously.The proposed structure has great potential in compact integrated photonic circuits. | Fu Feng Guangyuan Si Changjun Min Xiaocong Yuan Michael Somekh | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 11 |

| 8 | A low-energy ion spectrometer with half-space entrance for three-axis stabilized spacecraft显示文摘A low-energy ion spectrometer(LEIS) for use aboard three-axis stabilized spacecraft has been developed to measure ion energy per charge distribution in three-dimensional space with good energy-, angular-and temporal-resolutions. For the standard top-hat electrostatic analyzer used widely in space plasma detection, three-axis stabilized spacecraft makes it difficult to obtain complete coverage of all possible ion arrival directions. We have designed angular scanning deflectors supplementing to a cylindrically symmetric top-hat electrostatic analyzer to provide a half-space field of view as 360°×90°(–45°–+45°), and fabricated the LEIS flight model for detecting magnetospheric ions in geosynchronous orbit. The performance of this payload has been evaluated in detail by a series of simulation and environmental tests, and the payload has also been calibrated through laboratory experiments using a low-energy ion source. | 12 | Fractal characterization of pore structure and its influence on CH_(4) adsorption and seepage capacity of low-rank coals显示文摘The pore structures of coal can directly affect the adsorption and seepage capacity of coalbed methane(CBM),which therefore is an important influence on CBM exploration and development.In this study,the pore structures of low-rank coals from the Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in the southern Junggar Basin were analyzed,and the fractal dimensions(D1,D2,D3 and D4 corresponding to pore sizes of 0-5 nm,5-100 nm,100-1000 nm and 1000-20000 nm,respectively)were calculated to quantitatively describe these coal pore structures.The results show that Xishanyao coal is characterized by open pore morphology,good pore connectivity and well-developed seepage pores and microfractures,which is beneficial to CBM seepage.The D1 and D2 can be used to characterize the pore surface and structure of adsorption pores respectively.The D3 and D4 can be used to represent the pore structure of seepage pores.Compared with adsorption pores,the structure of seepage pores is more affected by the change of coal rank.The D1 is better than D2 in characterizing the methane adsorption capacity.When D1>2.2,D1 is positively correlated with Langmuir volume(VL)and negatively correlated with Langmuir pressure(PL),while D2 shows a weak opposite trend.The coals with the higher D1 and lower D2 are associated with a higher VL,indicating the coal reservoir with more complex pore surfaces and simpler pore structures has stronger methane adsorption capacity.D4 is better than D3 in characterizing the methane seepage capacity.The porosity and permeability of coal reservoirs increase with the increase of D4,while D3 displays an opposite trend,which is mainly related to the well-developed microfractures.The well-developed fracture system enhances the seepage capacity of the Xishanyao coal reservoir.This study reveals the fractal characteristics of pore structure and its significant influence on adsorption and seepage capacity of low-rank coal. | Guangyuan MU Haihai HOU Jiaqiang ZHANG Yue TANG Ya-nan LI Bin SUN Yong LI Tim JONES Yuan YUAN Longyi SHAO | 2022 | Frontiers of Earth Science2022,16,4: | 0 |
| 13 | Seroprevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)in patients with cancer and the impact of anti-tumor treatment on antibodies显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to examine the seroprevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)among patients with cancer and followed up changes in SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies to explore the impact of anti-tumor treatment in patients.Methods Patients with cancer who visited the Outpatient Clinic of Oncology,Tongji Hospital,Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology,Wuhan,China between March 9 and April 30,2020 were enrolled in this retrospective cohort study.SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin(Ig)G,IgM,and viral load at various time points during the disease course were determined.Results We examined the serological results of 779 patients with cancer.The overall seroprevalence(IgG-positive or IgM-positive)rate of SARS-CoV-2 was 3.4%.The probability of seropositivity was significantly higher in patients with gastric cancer than in those without gastric cancer(odds ratio:6.349,95%confidence interval:2.191–18.396).Follow-up data showed that SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG levels decreased and the polymerase chain reaction test result remained negative in seropositive patients with cancer.Conclusion This study investigated the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 in coronavirus disease(COVID-19)-positive patients with cancer in Wuhan,China.The seropositivity in patients with cancer was lower than or similar to that in the general population.Irrespective of anti-tumor therapy,the levels of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies decreased in these patients.More studies are needed to better understand the impact of anti-tumor therapy on change in the levels of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. | Bili Wu Bo Liu Xueyan Jiang Ye Yuan Wan Qin Kai Qin Qi Mei Li Zhang Huilan Zhang Guangyuan Hu Xianglin Yuan | 2021 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2021,7,3: | 0 |
| 14 | Outcomes of palliative local treatment in metastatic colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapy plus bevacizumab显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to assess the value of palliative local treatment of incurable metastatic lesions in colorectal cancer(CRC) patients receiving chemotherapy plus bevacizumab.Methods Data of 105 patients with histologically confirmed synchronous or metachronous metastatic CRC who received bevacizumab treatment from January 1, 2011 to January 31, 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. Sixteen(15%) patients who were treated with bevacizumab for less than 4 cycles were excluded, and finally, 89(85%) patients were enrolled. Among them, 33(37%) patients who received palliative local treatment were categorized into the palliative local treatment group, and the remaining 56(63%) patients were categorized into the chemotherapy plus bevacizumab group. The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS), which was calculated using Kaplan-Meier survival analyses. Factors possibly influencing survival were evaluated by univariate and multivariate analyses. Adverse events(AEs) were graded according to Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, version 4.0. Grades 1–2 and 3–4 AEs of the two groups were compared and analyzed using the Fisher's exact test and χ~2 analysis.Results The median follow-up period was 20.4 months, ranging from 1 to 60 months. The median OS in the palliative local treatment group was 36.3 months(95% CI, 33.5–39.2), and that in the chemotherapy plus bevacizumab group was 20.5 months(95% CI, 17.6–23.4). Both the univariate(HR 0.13, 95% CI, 0.05–0.30, P < 0.001) and multivariate(HR 0.16, 95% CI, 0.07–0.39, P < 0.001) analyses showed that the addition of palliative local treatment could prolong survival compared with chemotherapy plus bevacizumab alone. | 15 | Impacts of China's Emergence on the World Economy: A Value Chain Perspective显示文摘This paper sheds light on the demand-side impact of China’s emergence on the world economy from a value chain perspective. A measure linking final demand with value-added in the context of global value chains is developed. Data from the World Input-Output Database is used to analyze foreign value-added induced by final demand in China. It is found that foreign value-added to meet final demand in China increases over time except during 2008–2009, proving that China has a significant power to shape the world economy through its final demand. Besides, it is found that about88% of foreign value-added is absorbed in China through intermediate imports. In addition, how and to what extend the final demand in China contributes to other countries’ GDP growth is investigated.Results show that continuous increase in foreign value-added absorbed in China becomes a ballooning source of economic growth, and final demand in China is rather a remedy in aftermath of the global recession during 2008–2009. | 18 | 2D-polyimide film sensitized monolayer MoS_(2) phototransistor enabled near-infrared photodetection显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)-based heterostructures open the door to fabricate various promising hybrid photodetectors,while it is still a challenge to achieve excellent and stable near-infrared(NIR)photoresponse.Here,a MoS_(2)–2DPI(2D-polyimide(2DPI))heterojunction-based phototransistor(HPT)was fabricated.Near-infrared photodetection with excellent performance has been realized.This HPT exhibited a photoresponsivity of 390.5 A/W,a specific detectivity of 5.10×10^(12)Jones,a photogain 1.04×10^(5),and a photoresponse rise and decay time of 400 and 430 ms(λ=900 nm,P=16.2μW/cm^(2)),respectively.It also shows a broadband wavelength response from 405 to 1,020 nm.This superior performance could be attributed to the strong near-infrared absorption and the type-II(staggered)band alignment which ensures efficient charge transfer from 2DPI to MoS_(2).The face-to-face spatial configuration of MoS_(2)–2DPI heterostructures ensures efficient transfer of photoinduced carriers through the interface,electron and holes can be separated due to the large band offsets.This work presents a significant step for the manipulation of high-performance NIR photodetector of twodimensional covalent organic polymer-sensitized monolayer TMDCs. | Qingqing Luo Guangyuan Feng Yaru Song Enbing Zhang Jiangyan Yuan Dejuan Fa Qisheng Sun Shengbin Lei Wenping Hu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,9: | 0 |
