| 1 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 3 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 5 | Haemodynamic analysis of adult patients with moyamoya disease: CT perfusion and DSA gradings显示文摘Object Moyamoya disease(MMD)is a common and chronic progressive stenotic-occlusive cerebrovascular disease in Eastern Asia.To evaluate the hemispheric haemodynamic status of adult patients with MMD,we explored the potential risk factors of hemispheric perfusion alterations with CT perfusion(CTP)and DSA.Methods We retrospectively reviewed 44 male and 44 female(176 hemispheres)adult patients with MMD who had both DSA and CTP.Data on cerebral blood perfusion(CBF),cerebral blood volume(CBV),mean transmit time(MTT),time to peak(TTP)of cerebral hemisphere and cerebellum were gathered and difference of relative haemodynamic parameters between different subgroups were assessed with independent sample t analysis,one-way analysis of variance and general linear regression analysis.Results Parameters in regional CBF(rCBF)of frontal,temporal lobe and basal ganglia in female was more superior than male.rCBF,regional MTT(rMTT)and regional TTP(rTTP)in adult MMD patients with haemorrhage were superior than the ischaemic.With the increase of age,significant difference could be seen in rCBF and rCBV of thalamus.However,with progress of arterial stenosis,significant difference could only be obsevrved in rCBV,rMTT and rTTP,whereas rCBF had no significant difference.For increase of moyamoya vessels,significant decrease of rCBF could be seen in temporal and parietal lobe.With the increase of compensatory artery numbers,no significant difference could be seen in rCBF parameters(p>0.05).Conclusions In adult MMD patients,age,gender and clinical type were potential risk factors for the change of cerebral perfusion.When arterial stenosis is worsened,moyamoya vessels could alter perfusion of temporal and parietal lobe,but not frontal lobe.Extracranial/intracranial compensatory arteries could maintain microcirculation stability in frontal lobe and basal ganglia,indicating that the protection from extracranial compensatory arteries,a theoretic base for surgery treatment if necessary. | Zhiyong Shi Guofeng Ma Dong Zhang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 5 |
| 6 | Hole quality in longitudinal–torsional coupled ultrasonic vibration assisted drilling of carbon fiber reinforced plastics显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) composites are extremely attractive in the manufacturing of structural and functional components in the aircraft manufacturing field due to their outstanding properties, such as good fatigue resistance, high specific stiffness/strength, and good shock absorption. However, because of their inherent anisotropy, low interlamination strength, and abrasive characteristics, CFRP composites are considered difficult-to-cut materials and are prone to generating serious hole defects, such as delamination, tearing, and burrs. The advanced longitudinal–torsional coupled ultrasonic vibration assisted drilling (LTC-UAD) method has a potential application for drilling CFRP composites. At present, LTC-UAD is mainly adopted for drilling metal materials and rarely for CFRP. Therefore, this study analyzes the kinematic characteristics and the influence of feed rate on the drilling performance of LTC-UAD. Experimental results indicate that LTC-UAD can reduce the thrust force by 39% compared to conventional drilling. Furthermore, LTC-UAD can decrease the delamination and burr factors and improve the surface quality of the hole wall. | 7 | Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. | 9 | Effect of a single weak lithological structure on the height of a collapsing roof in a deep soft rock roadway显示文摘Besides the cross sections of roadways and the tendency and obliquity of roadway axes, the major controlling factors affecting the height of a collapsing roof include the weak lithological structure of surrounding rocks. This thesis analyzes the effect of two single and weak lithological structures of both sides and the roof on the height of a collapsing roof in a deep soft rock road-way. Using the two-dimensional UDEC3.1 software, a numerical simulation was carried out on the models of weak lithological structures of both sides of a roadway and of two weak lithological structures of roof of different depths. We reconstruct the overall processes from a break-away layer, bending, subsidence and the cracking of a collapsing roof. We also illustrate the distribution characteristics of displacement fields in the surrounding rock after the roof collapse in a deep soft rock roadway. The results of our numerical simulations indicate that the form of a roof collapse is side-expanding when the roadway is a weak structure at both sides. | 10 | A mild iodocyclohexane demethylation for highly enhancing antioxidant activity of lignin显示文摘Lignin,as a natural antioxidant,shows great potential in food engineering and medicine.How-ever,the inherent macromolecular structure,high polydispersity,and few phenolic hydroxy seri-ously limit its antioxidant activity.In this work,a mild iodocyclohexane demethylation for highly improving the antioxidant activity of lignin was proposed.The results showed-OCH 3 content exhibited an almost linear decrease as a function of treating time,and the demethylation and cleavage of��-aryl ether bonds prompt an obvious increase in phenolic hydroxyl content(4.01 mmol/g)and a significant decline in aliphatic hydroxyl(∼0.03 mmol/g).Meanwhile,attributing to the fragmentation of��β-O-4,β-β,and��β-5 substructures,the polydispersity of lignin molecular weight decreases from 2.7 to 2.2.As a result,the formed catechol-typed lignin showed an out-standing antioxidant activity,with the radical(DPPH·)scavenging index(inverse of concentration for 50%of maximal effect(EC 50)value)over 2000 mL/mg,much superior to the commercial antioxidants(<500 mL/mg).Further structure-activity relationship analysis implied that the Ph-OH/-OCH 3 ratio might act as a key factor influencing the antioxidant activity of lignin.This mild demethylation demonstrates a facile and effective method for highly enhancing the antioxidant activity of lignin and makes the catechol-typed lignin a green and promising product for practical use in food,medicine,and pharmacy. | Yilin Wang Jin Wu Ruihan Shen Yubao Li Guofeng Ma Shuang Qi Wenjuan Wu Yongcan Jin Bo Jiang | 2023 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2023,8,3: | 1 |

| 12 | Vertically-resolved indoor measurements of air pollution during Chinese cooking显示文摘Chinese cooking features several unique processes,e.g.,stir-frying and pan-frying,which represent important sources of household air pollution.However,factors affecting household air pollution and the vertical variations of indoor pollutants during Chinese cooking are less clear.Here,using low-cost sensors with high time resolutions,we measured concentrations of five gas species and particulate matter(PM)in three different sizes at multiple heights in a kitchen during eighteen different Chinese cooking events.We found indoor gas species were elevated by 21%-106%during cooking,compared to the background,and PMs were elevated by 44%-159%.Vertically,the pollutants concentrations were highly variable during cooking periods.Gas species generally showed a monotonic increase with height,while PMs changed more diversely depending on the cooking activity's intensity.Intense cooking,e.g.,stir-frying,pan-frying,or cooking on high heat,tended to shoot PMs to the upper layers,while moderate ones left PMs within the breathing zone.Individuals with different heights would be subject to different levels of household air pollution exposure during cooking.The high vertical variability challenges the current indoor standard that presumes a uniform pollution level within the breathing zone and thus has important implications for public health and policy making. | Shuxiu Zheng Huizhong Shen Guofeng Shen Yilin Chen Jianmin Ma Hefa Cheng Shu Tao | 2022 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,4: | 0 |

[Methods]The extraction conditions of Laoshan black tea were studied by an orthogonal experiment and optimized by response surface methodology. [Results] The optimum extraction conditions of black tea extract by supercritical CO_(2) extraction were as follows: extraction pressure 23.53 MPa, extraction time 1.73 h, and extraction temperature 49.75 ℃, with which the extract yield could reach 5.15% theoretically. | 16 | Manipulating Interfacial Stability Via Absorption-Competition Mechanism for Long-Lifespan Zn Anode显示文摘The stability of Zn anode in various Znbased energy storage devices is the key problem to be solved.Herein,aromatic aldehyde additives are selected to modulate the interface reactions between the Zn anode and electrolyte.Through comprehensively considering electrochemical measurements,DFT calculations and FEA simulations,novel mechanisms of one kind of aromatic aldehyde,veratraldehyde in inhibiting Zn dendrite/by-products can be obtained.This additive prefers to absorb on the Zn surface than H_(2)O molecules and Zn^(2+),while competes with hydrogen evolution reaction and Zn plating/stripping proces s via redox reactions,thus preventing the decomposition of active H_(2)O near the interface and uncontrollable Zn dendrite growth via a synactic absorption-competition mechanism.As a result,Zn-Zn symmetric cells with the veratraldehyde additive realize an excellent cycling life of 3200 h under 1 mA cm^(-2)/1 mAh cm^(-2)and over 800 h even under 5 mA cm^(-2)/5 mAh cm^(-2).Moreover,Zn-Ti and Zn-MnO_(2)cells with the veratraldehyde additive both obtain elevated performance than that with pure ZnSO_(4)electrolyte.Finally,two more aromatic aldehyde additives are chosen to prove their universality in stabilizing Zn anodes. | Meijia Qiu Liang Ma Peng Sun Zilong Wang Guofeng Cui Wenjie Mai | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,2: | 0 |
| 17 | Influence of climate change on hydrological process in the upper reaches of Shiyang River:A case study of the Xiying River,China显示文摘Climate change is the dominant factor affecting the hydrological process, it is of great significance to simulate and predict its influence on water resources management, socio-economic activities, and sustainable development in the future. In this paper, the Xiying River Basin was taken as the study area, China Atmospheric Assimilation Driven Data Set(CMADS) and observation data from the Jiutiaoling station were used to simulate runoff of the SWAT model and calibrate and verify model parameters. On this basis, runoff change of the basin under the future climate scenario of CMIP6 was predicted. Our research shows that:(1) The contribution rates of climate change and human activities to runoff increase of the Xiying River are 89.17% and 10.83%, respectively. Climate change is the most important factor affecting runoff change of the Xiying River.(2) In these three different emission scenarios of SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 in CMIP6 climate model, the average temperature increased by0.61, 1.09 and 1.74 C, respectively, in the Xiying River Basin from 2017 to 2050. | 18 | Chemical Synthesis of an Octasaccharide Derivative Related to Group B Streptococcus Cell-Wall Polysaccharide显示文摘Group B Streptococcus(GBS)is the major pathogen that causes invasive infectious diseases in neonates and infants.The develop-ment of preventive and therapeutic strategies against GBS infection has been becoming the most pressing subject worldwide.Group B carbohydrate(GBC),the group B-specific polysaccharide that distinguishes GBS with other streptococci species,has been identified as an attractive antigen for diagnosis and vaccine development because of its highly conservative tetra-antennary structure.In this paper,a highly convergent[3+5]glycosylation strategy for efficient synthesis of an octasaccharide derivative related to GBC oligo-saccharide unitⅡhas been developed.In this synthesis,each glycosylation reaction was efficiently constructed with glycosyl im-idates,especially trifluoroacetimidate,as donors,and each glycosidic bond was stereoselectively controlled via the neighboring group participation effect of acyl group on the 2-O-position of imidate donors or the solvent effect of Et_(2)O.Furthermore,the ami-noethylphosphate group was smoothly installed on the 6-O-position of D-glucitoll residue using the phosphoramidite method.After global deprotection,the target octasaccharide was successfully obtained from o-glucitol in 29 steps with an overall yield of 1.37%.The free amino group installed on the aminoethylphosphate spacer of the target molecule enables its modification with functional-ized biomolecules for further biological studies. | Chongzhen Sun Zhaojun Liu Wuxian Zeng Xiaolin Ma Guirong Wang Guofeng Gu | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,2: | 0 |
