| 3 | Degradation of o-chloronitrobenzene as the sole carbon and nitrogen sources by Pseudomonas putida OCNB-1显示文摘A bacterial strain that utilized o-chloronitrobenzene(o-CNB) as the sole carbon,nitrogen and energy sources was isolated from an activated sludge collected from an industrial waste treatment plant. It was identified as Pseudomonas putida based on its morphology,physiological,and biochemical characteristics with an automatic biometrical system and the 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Microcosm study showed that the biodegradation of o-CNB was optimized at culture medium pH 8.0 and 32°C. At these conditions,the strain degraded 85% of o-CNB at a starting concentration of 1.1 mmol/L in 42 h. o-Chloroaniline was identified as the major metabolite with high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) . | 4 | Clinicopathological features and surgical outcomes of four rare subtypes of primary liver carcinoma显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to analyze clinicopathological and prognostic features of four rare pathological subtypes of primary liver malignancies to make better understanding of their clinical features.Methods:The clinicopathological data of 114 patients who were diagnosed with histologically proven four subtypes:clear cell carcinoma(CCC),giant cell carcinoma(GCC),sarcomatoid carcinoma(SC),and combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma(CHC)between October 1998 and August 2015 were reviewed.Their survival data were compared with those of 908 patients with histologically proven common hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(early-and advanced-stage HCC)during the same period.Results:The outcome of the CCC group was better than that of the other three subgroups,and was similar to that of the early-stage HCC group.Also,the smallest tumor size and the highest incidence of pseudocapsule formation were observed in the CCC group.The SC group had the worst outcome among these four subgroups;the prognosis was much poorer than that of any other subgroups,even poorer than that of the advanced-stage common HCC group.No statistical difference was observed between the GCC,CHC and advanced-stage HCC groups on survival analysis.The incidences of tumor vascular emboli,TNM staging and non-radical resection were three risk factors of the prognosis.Conclusions:CCC is a low-degree malignancy and relatively favorably prognostic subtype of HCC.However,GCC,SC,and CHC are three rare high-degree malignancy subtypes of HCC with poor prognosis. | Zhiyu Li Xiaolong Wu Xinyu Bi Yefan Zhang Zhen Huang Haizhen Lu Hong Zhao Jianjun Zhao Jianguo Zhou Muxing Li Jianming Ying Jianqiang Cai | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,3: | 6 |
| 5 | Adsorption characteristic of bensulfuron-methyl at variable added Pb^(2+) concentrations on paddy soils显示文摘The combined pollution of heavy metal Pb2+ and bensulfuron-methyl (BSM), originating from chemical herbicides, in agro- ecological environments has become commonplace in southern China. The adsorption of BSM on three paddy soils in the presence of Pb2+ was examined using high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). Results indicated that adsorption of BSM could accurately be described by a Freundlich isotherm equation with correlation constant (R) > 0.98, irrespective of the presence of spiked Pb2+. Of the various factors influencing BSM sorption, soil pH appeared to be the most inffiuential. The constant Kf of Freundlich isotherm equation tended to increase with increasing Pb2+ concentration in soil which indicated that the spiked of Pb2+ in paddy soils would promote the sorption of BSM. △Gθ of BSM in three paddy soils was less than 40 kJ/mol in all treatments, indicating the adsorption of BSM is mainly physical in nature. The elution of soil dissolved organic matter (DOM) enhanced the adsorption of BSM in paddy soils. | 19 | GmYSL7 controls iron uptake,allocation,and cellular response of nodules in soybean显示文摘Iron(Fe)is essential for DNA synthesis,photosynthesis and respiration of plants.The demand for Fe substantially increases during legumesrhizobia symbiotic nitrogen fixation because of the synthesis of leghemoglobin in the host and Fecontaining proteins in bacteroids.However,the mechanism by which plant controls iron transport to nodules remains largely unknown.Here we demonstrate that GmYSL7 serves as a key regulator controlling Fe uptake from root to nodule and distribution in soybean nodules.GmYSL7 is Fe responsive and GmYSL7 transports iron across the membrane and into the infected cells of nodules.Alterations of GmYSL7 substantially affect iron distribution between root and nodule,resulting in defective growth of nodules and reduced nitrogenase activity.GmYSL7 knockout increases the expression of GmbHLH300,a transcription factor required for Fe response of nodules.Overexpression of GmbHLH300 decreases nodule number,nitrogenase activity and Fe content in nodules.Remarkably,GmbHLH300 directly binds to the promoters of ENOD93 and GmLbs,which regulate nodule number and nitrogenase activity,and represses their transcription.Our data reveal a new role of GmYSL7 in controlling Fe transport from host root to nodule and Fe distribution in nodule cells,and uncover a molecular mechanism by which Fe affects nodule number and nitrogenase activity. | Xinying Wu Yongliang Wang Qiaohan Ni Haizhen Li Xuesong Wu Zhanxin Yuan Renhao Xiao Ziyin Ren Jingjing Lu Jinxia Yun Zhijuan Wang Xia Li | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,1: | 0 |
| 20 | Primary Malignant Amelanotic Melanoma in the Female Genital Tract:A Report of Six Cases and a Review of the Literature显示文摘OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical characteristics,pathologic diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of amelanotic melanoma in the female genital tract(AMFGT).METHODS The medical records of 6 patients with AMFGT between 1991 and 2006 in our hospital were reviewed.RESULTS Of these cases,4 were preliminarily misdiagnosed as chorioepithelioma,sarcoma,adenocarcinoma or lymphoma.Two patients were determined to have AMFGT preoperatively after positive immunohistochemical staining for both S-100 protein and HMB-45.Specimens removed from all 6 cases were tested for immunohistochemical staining,as well as H&E histochemical stains.S-100 and vimentin were both positive in all patients,and HMB-45 was positive in 3 out of 5 patients.Four patients recurred(at 6,6,12 and 19 months) a er primary treatments.Three patients died(at 13,18 and 19 months) a er the initial diagnosis.CONCLUSION Because of an absence of pigmentation AMFGT is extremely difficult to diagnose.Combined immunohistochemical staining,such as the S-100 protein,HMB-45 and vimentin etc,is important in the evaluation of AMFGT.Correct diagnosis plays a crucial role in the treatment of this disease. | Jusheng An Lingying Wu Bin Li Haizhen Lu Ning Li Shaokang Ma | 2008 | Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology2008,5,5: | 0 |
