4Barriers and facilitators in Pre-exposure Prophylaxis(PrEP)use intention among Chinese homosexual men显示文摘Background:Despite strengthened efforts on human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)prevention and control,new HIV infections continue to increase among men who have sex with men(MSM)in China.Pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP),a highly effective HIV-prevention tool,has recently been included in China’s Action Plan of HIV Prevention and Control.To promote future PrEP implementation,this study aims to identify the barriers and facilitators in PrEP use intention among MSM in China.Methods:In 2018,a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 300 MSM in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province.Questions on demographics,sexual behavior(including a seven-item high-risk behavior index),PrEP use intention,PrEP-related awareness and accessibility,and a seven-item public HIV stigma scale were included in the questionnaire.Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were conducted to identify factors associated with PrEP use intention.Results:Overall,44.67%of the participants had more than two male sexual partners and 5.56%had HIV-positive sexual partners.Only 57.00%had heard of PrEP and only four(1.33%)participants had used PrEP.However,75.34%expressed the willingness to use oral PrEP if its efficacy was assured.The beliefs that“PrEP can prevent HIV if taken as prescribed”(adjusted odds ratio(AOR)=4.84,P<0.001)and“PrEP can be scaled up in the community”(AOR=3.24,P<0.001)were positively associated with oral PrEP use intention.Concerns of side effects were negatively associated with oral PrEP use intention(AOR=0.32,P=0.006).Further,77.00%of the participants would choose injectable or implanted PrEP instead of oral PrEP.One of the PrEP stigma items,“Not certain if doctors can prescribe PrEP if I go to the clinic”was positively associated with the intention to use injectable or implanted PrEP(AOR=3.03).The items“Heard of PrEP”(AOR=2.74)and“PrEP can prevent HIV if taken as prescribed”(AOR=2.65)were also positively related to the intention to use injectable or implanted PrEP.The most common concerns regarding PrEP use were efficacy(44.67%)and side effects(38.67%).The most common reasons for using injectable and implanted PrEP were adherence(81.94%and 77.86%,respectively)and privacy concerns(56.48%and 55.00%,respectively).Affordable price and coverage by health insurance were the driving factors for PrEP use.Conclusion:Given the low level of awareness of PrEP-related information in China,it’s necessary to provide interventions for high-risk individuals and communities,in order to increase their awareness and knowledge of PrEP.Furthermore,additional alternatives to HIV prevention,such as long-acting injectable or implanted PrEP,should be investigated to reduce the risk of HIV infection in at-risk MSM.Even if this programme could be approved by the National Medical Products Administration of China and implemented,a supportive social environment for MSM is essential during its implementing.Mingyu Si Xiaoyou Su Li Yan Yu Jiang Yuanli Liu Chongyi Wei Hongjing Yan 2020Global Health Journal2020,4,3:1
5Treatment Strategy for Chylothorax after Resection for Lung Cancer—16 Case Report显示文摘OBJECTIVE To review the experience of iatrogenic chylothorax after pul- monary resections for lung cancer and to evaluate our treatment strategy. METHODS From July 1997 through December 2003, a total of 1,546 pa- tients underwent pulmonary resection (at least lobectomy) and systematic mediastinal lymph node dissection for lung cancer in our division. Sixteen patients had a postoperative chylothorax complication. All of these pa- tients in this study were conservatively treated (closed drainage) with complete oral intake cessation and total parenteral nutrition. RESULTS All patients had their condition cured with conservative treat- ment. The duration of the treatment was 6-21 days. The patients were given normal diet for a mean of 9.8 days after chylothorax diagnosis. 6Mining authorship characteristics in bug repositories显示文摘Bug reports are widely employed to facilitate software tasks in software maintenance. Since bug reports are contributed by people, the authorship characteristics of contributors may heavily impact the performance of resolving software tasks. Poorly written bug reports may delay developers when fixing bugs. However,no in-depth investigation has been conducted over the authorship characteristics. In this study, we first leverage byte-level N-grams to model the authorship characteristics and employ Normalized Simplified Profile Intersection(NSPI) to identify the similarity of the authorship characteristics. Then, we investigate a series of properties related to contributors' authorship characteristics, including the evolvement over time and the variation among distinct products in open source projects. Moreover, we show how to leverage the authorship characteristics to facilitate a well-known task in software maintenance, namely Bug Report Summarization(BRS). Experiments on open source projects validate that incorporating the authorship characteristics can effectively improve a stateof-the-art method in BRS. 12Geochronology and geochemistry of magmatic rocks in the Dongzi–Changhanboluo Pb–Zn ore district in Chifeng,Inner Mongolia,and their relationship with metallogenesis显示文摘Bulk-rock elements,isotopes,and zircon U–Pb ages are reported for magmatic rocks in the Dongzi–Changhanboluo Pb–Zn ore district in Chifeng,Inner Mongolia,China.Zircon U–Pb dating identified four stages of magmatism:Late Silurian gabbroic diorite(*420 Ma),Middle Permian monzonite(*274 Ma),Late Jurassic quartz porphyry and ignimbrite,breccia tuff(153–158 Ma)and Early Cretaceous andesitic porphyrite(*127 Ma).Integrating field observations,geochronology,and element and isotope geochemistry indicated a complex petrogenetic history of the magmatic rocks.The gabbroic diorite may have been sourced from EM1-type mantle.The source of the monzonite may have been mantle metasomatized by melt from the subducting plate.The Jurassic volcaniclastic rocks formed in a medium-pressure,high-temperature environment,possibly in the background of crustal thickening in a syncollisional stage and an early postcollisional stage.During this process,shaly sedimentary rocks were brought into the deep crust and heated,followed by the rapid isostatic uplift of the crust,which caused partial melting of the sedimentary rocks.Quartz monzonite porphyry and quartz porphyry formed by partial melting of mantle metasomatized by subducted sediments,but the quartz porphyry experienced high-degree differentiation and evolution.The andesitic porphyrite has characteristics similar to those of Permian monzonite,indicating that its source area was also the zone of mantle metasomatized by subducted sediment.The late Silurian and Permian magmatic rocks in this area most likely formed against a continental arc background related to the subduction of the Paleo-Asian Ocean Plate beneath the North China Plate.The Late Jurassic magmatic rocks suggest that the northern margin of the North China Craton may have been in a postcollisional setting during the Late Jurassic,with no obvious crustal thinning.The Cretaceous andesitic porphyrite may have formed against the background of lithospheric extension and thinning.According to the comprehensive analysis of geological characteristics,diagenetic and metallogenic epochs,and Pb isotope data,the formation of ore bodies in the Dongzi–Changhanboluo ore district was closely related to the Jurassic quartz porphyry.Hongjing Xie Yuwang Wang Yunguo Zhang Wei Jiang Zhiyuan Sun 2020Acta Geochimica2020,39,5:0
13Estimating Costs of the HIV Comprehensive Intervention Using the Spectrum Model--China,2015-2019显示文摘Introduction:In order to facilitate human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)treatment and prevention,the resource needs for HIV national strategic planning in developing regions were estimated based on Spectrum,the universal HIV costeffectiveness analysis software.Methods:Based on the theoretical framework of Spectrum,the study developed a cost measurement tool for HIV,and calculated the cost of HIV prevention and control in 6 sampled cities in China during 2015–2019 using the Spectrum model.Results:From 2015 to 2019,the average annual costs for HIV prevention and control for Shijiazhuang,Yantai,Ningbo,Zhenjiang,Foshan,and Wuxi cities were 46.78,47.55,137.49,24.73,74.37,and 58.30 million Chinese yuan(CNY),respectively.The per capita costs were 4.37,6.73,17.33,7.77,17.56,and 8.91 CNY,respectively.In terms of the cost structure,the ratio of preventive intervention funds to therapeutic intervention funds(antiviral treatment)varied in sampled cities.Discussion:Developing comprehensive and systematic HIV fund calculation methods can provide a research basis for rational resource allocation in the field of HIV.Youran Zhang Lili Wang Zhen Jiang Hongjing Yan Xiaoxia Liu Jing Gu Guoyong Wang Xiaosong Cheng Qiyan Leng Qisui Long Zimian Liang Jing Wang Liang Liang Yanchao Qiu Lin Chen Hang Hong 2022China CDC weekly2022,4,25:0

15Circular RNA expression and the competitive endogenous RNA network in pathological,age-related macular degeneration events:A cross-platform normalization study显示文摘Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)causes irreversible blindness in people aged over 50 worldwide.The dysfunction of the retinal pigment epithelium is the primary cause of atrophic AMD.In the current study,we used the ComBat and Training Distribution Matching method to integrate data obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.We analyzed the integrated sequencing data by the Gene Set Enrichment Analysis.Peroxisome and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)signaling and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)were among the top 10 pathways,and thus we selected them to construct AMD cell models to identify differentially expressed circular RNAs(circRNAs).We then constructed a competing endogenous RNA network,which is related to differentially expressed circRNAs.This network included seven circRNAs,15 microRNAs,and 82 mRNAs.The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis of mRNAs in this network showed that the hypoxia-inducible factor-1(HIF-1)signaling pathway was a common downstream event.The results of the current study may provide insights into the pathological processes of atrophic AMD.Ruxu Sun Hongjing Zhu Ying Wang Jianan Wang Chao Jiang Qiuchen Cao Yeran Zhang Yichen Zhang Songtao Yuan Qinghuai Liu 2023The Journal of Biomedical Research2023,37,5:0
