Towards 6G wireless communication networks:vision, enabling technologies, and new paradigm shifts显示文摘The fifth generation(5G)wireless communication networks are being deployed worldwide from 2020 and more capabilities are in the process of being standardized, such as mass connectivity,ultra-reliability,and guaranteed low latency.However,5G will not meet all requirements of the future in 2030 and beyond, and sixth generation(6G)wireless communication networks are expected to provide global coverage, enhanced spectral/energy/cost efficiency, better intelligence level and security, etc. To meet these requirements,6G networks will rely on new enabling technologies,i.e.,air interface and transmission technologies and novel network architecture, such as waveform design, multiple access, channel coding schemes,multi-antenna technologies, network slicing,cell-free architecture, and cloud/fog/edge computing. Our vision on 6G is that it will have four new paradigm shifts.First,to satisfy the requirement of global coverage,6G will not be limited to terrestrial communication networks, which will need to be complemented with non-terrestrial networks such as satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communication networks, thus achieving a space-airground-sea integrated communication network.Second, all spectra will be fully explored to further increase data rates and connection density, including the sub-6GHz,millimeter wave(mmWave),terahertz(THz),and optical frequency bands.Third, facing the big datasets generated by the use of extremely heterogeneous networks, diverse communication scenarios, large numbers of antennas, wide bandwidths, and new service requirements,6G networks will enable a new range of smart applications with the aid of artificial intelligence(AI)and big data technologies.Fourth, network security will have to be strengthened when developing 6G networks. This article provides a comprehensive survey of recent advances and future trends in these four aspects.Clearly,6G with additional technical requirements beyond those of 5G will enable faster and further communications to the extent that the boundary between physical and cyber worlds disappears. | Xiaohu YOU Cheng-Xiang WANG Jie HUANG Xiqi GAO Zaichen ZHANG Mao WANG Yongming HUANG Chuan ZHANG Yanxiang JIANG Jiaheng WANG Min ZHU Bin SHENG Dongming WANG Zhiwen PAN Pengcheng ZHU Yang YANG Zening LIU Ping ZHANG Xiaofeng TAO Shaoqian LI Zhi CHEN Xinying MA Chih-Lin I Shuangfeng HAN Ke LI Chengkang PAN Zhimin ZHENG Lajos HANZO Xuemin(Sherman)SHEN Yingjie Jay GUO Zhiguo DING Harald HAAS Wen TONG Peiying ZHU Ganghua YANG Jun WANG Erik GLARSSON Hien Quoc NGO Wei HONG Haiming WANG Debin HOU Jixin CHEN Zhe CHEN Zhangcheng HAO Geoffrey Ye LI Rahim TAFAZOLLI Yue GAO HVincent POOR Gerhard P.FETTWEIS Ying-Chang LIANG | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,1: | 122

Randomized controlled trial of uncut Roux-en-Y vs Billroth Ⅱ reconstruction after distal gastrectomy for gastric cancer: Which technique is better for avoiding biliary reflux and gastritis?显示文摘AIM To identify which technique is better for avoiding biliary reflux and gastritis between uncut Roux-en-Y and Billroth Ⅱ reconstruction. METHODS A total of 158 patients who underwent laparoscopyassisted distal gastrectomy for gastric cancer at the First Hospital of Jilin University(Changchun, China) between February 2015 and February 2016 were randomized into two groups: uncut Roux-en-Y(group U) and Billroth II group(group B). Postoperative complications and relevant clinical data were compared between the two groups. RESULTS According to the randomization table, each group included 79 patients. There was no significant difference in postoperative complications between groups U and B(7.6% vs 10.1%, P = 0.576). During the postoperative period, group U stomach p H values were lower than 7 and group B p H values were higher than 7. After 1 year of follow-up, group B presented a higher incidence of biliary reflux and alkaline gastritis. However, histopathology did not show a significant difference in gastritis diagnosis(P = 0.278), and the amount of residual food and gain of weight between the groups were also not significantly different. At 3 mo there was no evidence of partial recanalization of uncut staple line, but at 1 year the incidence was 13%. CONCLUSION Compared with Billroth II reconstruction, uncut Rouxen-Y reconstruction is secure and feasible, and can effectively reduce the incidence of alkaline reflux, residual gastritis, and heartburn. Despite the incidence of recanalization, uncut Roux-en-Y should be widely applied. | Dong Yang Liang He Wei-Hua Tong Zhi-Fang Jia Tong-Rong Su Quan Wang | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,34: | 43
Antidiabetic Effects of Gegen Qinlian Decoction via the Gut Microbiota Are Attributable to Its Key Ingredient Berberine显示文摘Gegen Qinlian Decoction(GQD),a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula, has long been used for the treatment of common metabolic diseases, including type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, the main limitation of its wider application is ingredient complexity of this formula. Thus,it is critically important to identify the major active ingredients of GQD and to illustrate mechanisms underlying its action. Here,we compared the effects of GQD and berberine,a hypothetical key active pharmaceutical ingredient of GQD,on a diabetic rat model by comprehensive analyses of gut microbiota,short-chain fatty acids, proinflammatory cytokines, and ileum transcriptomics. Our results show that berberine and GQD had similar effects on lowering blood glucose levels, modulating gut microbiota, inducing ileal gene expression,as well as relieving systemic and local inflammation. As expected, both berberine and GQD treatment significantly altered the overall gut microbiota structure and enriched many butyrate-producing bacteria, including Faecalibacterium and Roseburia, thereby attenuating intestinal inflammation and lowering glucose.Levels of short-chain fatty acids in rat feces were also significantly elevated after treatment with berberine or GQD.Moreover, concentration of serum proinflammatory cytokines and expression of immune-related genes, including Nfkb1,Stat1,and Ifnrg1,in pancreatic islets were significantly reduced after treatment. Our study demonstrates that the main effects of GQD can be attributed to berberine via modulating gut microbiota. The strategy employed would facilitate further standardization and widespread application of TCM in many diseases. | Xizhan Xu Zezheng Gao Fuquan Yang Yingying Yang Liang Chen Lin Han Na Zhao Jiayue Xu Xinmiao Wang Yue Ma Lian Shu Xiaoxi Hu Na Lyu Yuanlong Pan Baoli Zhu Linhua Zhao Xiaolin Tong Jun Wang | 2020 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6: | 29
PVT v2:Improved baselines with Pyramid Vision Transformer显示文摘Transformers have recently lead to encouraging progress in computer vision. In this work,we present new baselines by improving the original Pyramid Vision Transformer(PVT v1)by adding three designs:(i)a linear complexity attention layer,(ii)an overlapping patch embedding, and(iii)a convolutional feed-forward network. With these modifications,PVT v2 reduces the computational complexity of PVT v1 to linearity and provides significant improvements on fundamental vision tasks such as classification, detection, and segmentation. In particular,PVT v2 achieves comparable or better performance than recent work such as the Swin transformer. We hope this work will facilitate state-ofthe-art transformer research in computer vision.Code is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asonu6nkp96cpp6vqb.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/whai362/PVT. | Wenhai Wang Enze Xie Xiang Li Deng-Ping Fan Kaitao Song Ding Liang Tong Lu Ping Luo Ling Shao | 2022 | Computational Visual Media2022,8,3: | 30
Relationship between hs-CRP, proMMP-1, TIMP-1 and coronary plaque morphology: intravascular ultrasound study显示文摘Background Rupture of unstable plaque with subsequent thrombus formation is the common pathophy- siological substrate of the acute coronary syndrome (ACS). It is of potential significance to explore the blood indexes predicting plaque characteristics. Little studies have focused on this field. Therefore we investigated the relationship between hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), pro-matrix metalloproteinase-1 (proMMP-1), tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) and coronary plaque morphology. Methods Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) examination was done in 152 patients with confirmed coronary heart disease before percutaneous coronary intervention from February 2003 to July 2005. Plasma samples of arterial blood were collected prior to the procedure. The level of hs-CRP, proMMP-1 and TIMP-1 were respectively measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Unstable and ruptured plaque were found more frequently in patients with acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina. External elastic membrane cross-sectional area (EEM CSA), plaque area, lipid pool area and plaque burden were significantly larger in ruptured and unstable plaque group. Positive remolding, thinner fabric-cap, smaller minimal lumen cross-sectional area (MLA), dissection and thrombus were significantly more frequent in ruptured and unstable plaque group. The levels of plasma hs-CRP, proMMP-1 and TIMP-1 were higher in ruptured plaque group. hs-CRP>8.94 mg/L was used to predict ruptured plaque with a ROC curve area of 0.76 [95% confidence interval (CI), 67.0%-85.8%], sensitivity of 71.8%, specificity of 77.0% and accuracy of 69.2% (P<0.01), similarly for proMMP-1>0.12 ng/ml with a ROC curve area of 0.69 [95% CI, 58.2%-80.2%], sensitivity of 69.2%, specificity of 75.2% and accuracy of 66.2% (P<0.01), and TIMP-1>83.45 ng/ml with a ROC curve area of 0.67 [95% CI, 56.2%-78.3%], sensitivity of 66.7%, specificity of 61.9% and accuracy of 66.2% (P<0.01). Conclusion The plaque characteristics correlate with the clinical presentation. The elevation of hs-CRP, proMMP-1 and TIMP-1 are related to the plaque instability and rupture. | ZHANG Xing-wei GE Jun-bo YANG Jian-min GE Lei WANG Ning-fu GAO Yan LI Pei-zhang PAN Hao TONG Guo-xin ZHOU Liang YE Xian-hua XU Jian | 2006 | Chinese Medical Journal2006,,20: | 23
Leap Motion-based virtual reality training for improving motor functional recovery of upper limbs and neural reorganization in subacute stroke patients显示文摘Virtual reality is nowadays used to facilitate motor recovery in stroke patients. Most virtual reality studies have involved chronic stroke patients; however, brain plasticity remains good in acute and subacute patients. Most virtual reality systems are only applicable to the proximal upper limbs(arms) because of the limitations of their capture systems. Nevertheless, the functional recovery of an affected hand is most difficult in the case of hemiparesis rehabilitation after a stroke. The recently developed Leap Motion controller can track the fine movements of both hands and fingers. Therefore, the present study explored the effects of a Leap Motion-based virtual reality system on subacute stroke. Twenty-six subacute stroke patients were assigned to an experimental group that received virtual reality training along with conventional occupational rehabilitation, and a control group that only received conventional rehabilitation. The Wolf motor function test(WMFT) was used to assess the motor function of the affected upper limb; functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to measure the cortical activation. After four weeks of treatment, the motor functions of the affected upper limbs were significantly improved in all the patients, with the improvement in the experimental group being significantly better than in the control group. The action performance time in the WMFT significantly decreased in the experimental group. Furthermore, the activation intensity and the laterality index of the contralateral primary sensorimotor cortex increased in both the experimental and control groups. These results confirmed that Leap Motion-based virtual reality training was a promising and feasible supplementary rehabilitation intervention, could facilitate the recovery of motor functions in subacute stroke patients. | 10 | Cell-free circulating tumor DNA in cancer显示文摘Cancer is a common cause of death worldwide.Despite significant advances in cancer treatments, the morbidity and mortality are still enormous.Tumor heterogeneity, especially intratumoral heterogeneity,is a significant reason underlying difficulties in tumor treatment and failure of a number of current therapeutic modalities, even of molecularly targeted therapies. The development of a virtually noninvasive 'liquid biopsy' from the blood has been attempted to characterize tumor heterogeneity. This review focuses on cell-free circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA) in the bloodstream as a versatile biomarker.ctDNA analysis is an evolving field with many new methods being developed and optimized to be able to successfully extract and analyze ctDNA,which has vast clinical applications.ctDNA has the potential to accurately genotype the tumor and identify personalized genetic and epigenetic alterations of the entire tumor. In addition,ctDNA has the potential to accurately monitor tumor burden and treatment response, while also being able to monitor minimal residual disease, reducing the need for harmful adjuvant chemotherapy and allowing more rapid detection of relapse. There are still many challenges that need to be overcome prior to this biomarker getting wide adoption in the clinical world, including optimization, standardization, and large multicenter trials. | Zhen Qin Vladimir A.Ljubimov Cuiqi Zhou Yunguang Tong Jimin Liang | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2016,35,5: | 14
Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. Therefore the observation of Insight-HXMT constitutes an important chapter in the full context of multi-wavelength and multi-messenger observation of this historical GW event. | TiPei Li ShaoLin Xiong ShuangNan Zhang FangJun Lu LiMing Song XueLei Cao Zhi Chang Gang Chen Li Chen TianXiang Chen Yong Chen YiBao Chen YuPeng Chen Wei Cui WeiWei Cui JingKang Deng YongWei Dong YuanYuan Du MinXue Fu GuanHua Gao He Gao Min Gao MingYu Ge YuDong Gu Ju Guan ChengCheng Guo DaWei Han Wei Hu Yue Huang Jia Huo ShuMei Jia LuHua Jiang WeiChun Jiang Jing Jin YongJie Jin Bing Li ChengKui Li Gang Li MaoShun Li Wei Li Xian Li XiaoBo Li XuFang Li YanGuo Li ZiJian Li ZhengWei Li XiaoHua Liang JinYuan Liao CongZhan Liu GuoQing Liu HongWei Liu ShaoZhen Liu XiaoJing Liu Yuan Liu YiNong Liu Bo Lu XueFeng Lu Tao Luo Xiang Ma Bin Meng Yi Nang JianYin Nie Ge OU JinLu Qu Na Sai Liang Sun Yin Tan Lian Tao WenHui Tao YouLi Tuo GuoFeng Wang HuanYu Wang Juan Wang WenShuai Wang YuSa Wang XiangYang Wen BoBing WU Mei Wu GuangCheng Xiao He Xu YuPeng Xu LinLi Yan JiaWei Yang Sheng Yang YanJi Yang AiMei Zhang ChunLei Zhang ChengMo Zhang Fan Zhang HongMei Zhang Juan Zhang Qiang Zhang Shu Zhang Tong Zhang Wei Zhang WanChang Zhang WenZhao Zhang Yi Zhang Yue Zhang YiFei Zhang YongJie Zhang Zhao Zhang ZiLiang Zhang HaiSheng Zhao JianLing Zhao XiaoFan Zhao ShiJie Zheng Yue Zhu YuXuan Zhu ChangLin Zou | 2018 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2018,61,3: | 12

Apoptotic mechanism of premature ovarian failure and rescue effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine: a review显示文摘Social and environmental factors render premature ovarian failure(POF) as a major cause of decline or loss of female fertility. The natural pregnancy rate of patients with POF is only 5%-10%. Follicular atresia is the main factor in the pathogenesis of POF.Due to the unique ovarian physiological environment and follicular developmental processes, the apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells and oocytes together cause follicular atresia, which involves the apoptosis-related internal and external pathways.Furthermore, during POF, apoptosis and oxidative stress forms a 'vicious circle', which involves a variety of changes between the molecules. The existing pharmaceutical preparations such as gonadal hormones are the basic methods for the treatment of POF, and the curative effect was affirmative;however, it was ineffective after withdrawn, while the long-term application led to adverse reactions. Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has a history of treating gynecological diseases and infertility and has gained increasing attention. Studies have shown that compounds isolated from herbal medicine exerted a positive effect on follicular atresia caused by cell apoptosis that also improved the POF. The present study reviewed the mechanisms underlying the apoptosis in POF and elaborated the internal mechanism of TCM in the treatment of the condition. | CAI Liang ZONG Daokuan TONG Guoqing LI Li | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,3: | 10
Longitudinal non-vascular transport pathways originating from acupuncture points in extremities visualised in human body显示文摘A subcutaneous transport pathway in humans has been previously visualised by injection of a paramagnetic tracer into the specific region of skin.In the current study,we further investigated the behaviours of imaging tracers in the transport pathways using imaging techniques.Three types of imaging tracers, including Gd-DTPA,iodised oil,and fluorescein sodium, were hypodermically injected into different acupuncture points of healthy volunteers to visualise the transport pathways by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),X-ray,CT,and a digital fluorescein camera.Several longitudinal transport pathways in the arms and feet, which represent venous vessels and subcutaneous transport pathways(STPs) without well-defined boundaries, were visualised by MRI.Among the visualised veins, the partial walls of a few veins were enhanced by Gd-DTPA.The fluorescent images further indicated that STPs likely represent boundless pathways. The findings in this study suggested that specific anatomical structures within the subcutaneous tissues or the partial walls of certain veins werenot vascular conduits but rather represented unique transport pathways in humans that warrant extensive future studies. | Hongyi Li Jiabin Tong Weiguo Cao Min Chen Hua Li Hong Dai Liang Xu Xiaoliang Chen | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,35: | 10
Effects of urotensin-Ⅱ on cytokines in early acute liver failure in mice显示文摘AIM:To investigate urotensin-Ⅱ(UⅡ) and its effects on tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α and interleukin(IL)-1β in early acute liver failure(ALF).METHODS:We investigated the time-dependent alteration in UⅡ levels and its effects on TNF-αand IL-1β in liver and blood in the early stage of lipopolysaccharide/D-galactosamine-induced ALF.RESULTS:After lipopolysaccharide/D-galactosamine challenge,UⅡ rose very rapidly and reached a maximal level 0.5 h,and the level remained significantly elevated after 2 h(P < 0.05).Six hours after challenge,UⅡ began to degrade, but remained higher than at 0 h(P < 0.05).Pretreatment with urantide,an inhibitor of the UⅡ receptor, suppressed the degree of UⅡ increase in liver and blood at 6 h after challenge(P < 0.05 vs paired controls). In addition, liver and blood TNF-α increased from 1 to 6 h,and reached a peak at 1 and 2 h,respectively; however,IL-1β did not rise until 6 h after challenge.Urantide pretreatment inhibited the degree of TNF-α and IL-1β increase following downregulation of UⅡ post-challenge(all P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:UⅡ plays a role in the pathogenesis and priming of ALF by triggering an inflammatory cascade and driving the early release of cytokines in mice. | Liang-Ming Liu Liang Zhao Dong-Yu Liang Fang-Ping Yu Chang-Gen Ye Wen-Juan Tu Tong Zhu | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,11: | 9
Lower Triassic Smithian-Spathian Boundary at West Pingdingshan Section in Chaohu,Anhui Province显示文摘The West Pingdingshan Section in Chaohu, Anhui Province, has been extensively studied in recent years and become one of the classic Lower Triassic sequences well-clarified in multiple stratigraphies. Also it is an important section that defines the Smithian-Spathian (S-S) boundary within the Olenekian Stage. The S-S boundary strata at the section are restudied in high-resolution conodont biostratigraphy and carbon isotopes. The refined S-S boundary defined by the FAD of conodont Neospathodus pingdingshanensis is at 30 cm above the base of Bed 52, corresponding to a rapid diversification of conodonts. A sharp positive shift of δ13Ccarb curve co-occurs at the S-S boundary and it can be used as a key reference to define the boundary. The defined S-S boundary position and carbon isotopes curve can be well correlated globally. | LIANG Dan TONG JinNan ZHAO LaiShi | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,3: | 8

Multi-scale strength analysis of bolted connections used in integral thermal protection system显示文摘Efficient and accurate strength analysis of bolted connections is essential in analyzing the integral thermal protection system(ITPS) of hypersonic vehicles, since the system bears severe loads and structural failures usually occur at the connections. Investigations of composite mechanical properties used in ITPS are still in progress as the architecture of the composites is complex. A new method is proposed in this paper for strength analysis of bolted connections by investigating the elastic behavior and failure strength of three-dimensional C/C orthogonal composites used in ITPS. In this method a multi-scale finite element method incorporating the global–local method is established to ensure high efficiency in macro-scale and precision in meso-scale in analysis.Simulation results reveal that predictions of material properties show reasonable accuracy compared with test results. And the multi-scale method can analyze the strength of connections efficiently and accurately. | Heng LIANG Yuqing WANG Mingbo TONG Junhua ZHANG | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,8: | 8
