| 2 | The GW2-WG1-OsbZIP47 pathway controls grain size and weight in rice显示文摘Regulation of seed size is a key strategy for improving crop yield and is also a basic biological question.However,the molecular mechanisms by which plants determine their seed size remain elusive.Here,we report that the GW2-WG1-OsbZIP47 regulatory module controls grain width and weight in rice.WG1,which encodes a glutaredoxin protein,promotes grain growth by increasing cell proliferation.Interestingly,WG1 interacts with the transcription factor OsbZIP47 and represses its transcriptional activity by associating with the transcriptional co-repressor ASP1,indicating that WG1 may act as an adaptor protein to recruit the transcriptional co-repressor.In contrary,OsbZIP47 restricts grain growth by decreasing cell proliferation.Further studies reveal that the E3 ubiquitin ligase GW2 ubiquitinates WG1 and targets it for degradation.Genetic analyses confirm that GW2,WG1,and OsbZIP47 function in a comm on pathway to control grain growth.Taken together,ourfindi ngs reveal a genetic and molecular framework for the control of grain size and weight by the GW2-WG1-OsbZIP47 regulatory module,providing new targets for improving seed size and weight in crops. | Jianqin Hao Dekai Wang Yingbao Wu Ke Huang Penggen Duan Na Li Ran Xu Dali Zeng Guojun Dong Baolan Zhang Limin Zhang Dirk Inze Qian Qian Yunhai Li | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,8: | 14 |
| 3 | Mechanochemical preparation of sulfur-doped nanosized TiO_2 and its photocatalytic activity under visible light显示文摘In order to make nanosized TiO2 photocatalyst responsive to visible light and effectively utilize solar energy, we have, for the first time, prepared S-doped nanosized TiO2 by a mechanochemical method with hydrolysis of TiCl4. The as-prepared S-doped nanosized TiO2 possesses strong ab-sorption for visible light of 400―650 nm and shows high photocatalytic activity for decomposition of methylene blue under irradiation of visible light. The oxidation states of the S atoms incorporated into TiO2 were determined to be S6+ and S4+. | 4 | Estimation of forest volumes by integrating Landsat TM imagery and forest inventory data显示文摘Accurate information about forest volumes is essential for forest management planning. The survey interval of the Forest Resource Inventory of China (FRIC) is too long to meet the demand for timely decision-making required for forest protection, management, and utilization. Analysis of satellite imagery provides good potential for more frequent reporting of forest parameters. In this study, we describe an application of the k-nearest neighbors (kNN) method to Landsat TM imagery for improving estimation of forest volumes. Several spectral features were tested and compared in forest volume estimations, including normalized difference vegetation index, environmental vegetation index, and the combination of the spectral features. The combined index resulted in the most accurate volume estimations. The kNN estimator and the combined index were then used in forest volume estimation. The estimation error (RMSE) of the total volume was44.2%, much lower than those for Larix forest (the RMSE was 51.7%) and those for the Korean pine and broadleaved forests (the estimation errors were over 71.7% and 88.19%,respectively). | 5 | Highly efficient Cu/anatase TiO2 {001}-nanosheets catalysts for methanol synthesis from CO2显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 nanosheets(-ns-) with dominant exposed {001} facets were used as support to load copper,and the synthesized Cu/TiO_2-ns catalysts were evaluated for CO_2 hydrogenation to methanol. Under the reaction conditions, P = 3.0 MPa, T = 260 ℃, V(N_2):V(H_2):V(CO_2) = 8:69:23 and gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) = 3600 mL g^(-1)h^(-1), the methanol yield reached an appealing high value, 5.6%. Copper-loading amount, calcination temperature and reduction atmosphere have been investigated in this work, which significantly influence the particle sizes of copper and/or the defect concentration in TiO_2, then leading to different catalytic performance. Characterizations of XRD, EPR, CO_2-TPD and FTIR demonstrate that higher specific surface area of Cu is good for the hydrogenation of CO_2 and adequate amount of Ti^(3+) plays important roles in CO_2 activation. | 6 | Systematic Identification of the Light-quality Responding Anthocyanin Synthesis-related Transcripts in Petunia Petals显示文摘Previous studies have shown that high light intensity can induce anthocyanin synthesis(AS)in petunia plants.To identifywhich kind of light quality plays a role in inducing such metabolic process,and what transcripts participate in controlling it,we carried out whole-transcriptome sequencing and analysis of petunia petals treated with different light-quality conditions.Among the red and white light treatments,a total of 2205 differentially expressed genes and 15,22,and 20 differentially expressed circRNAs,miRNAs,and lncRNAs,were identified respectively.The AS-related genes,including the structural genes CHSj,F3H,F35H,DFR,and ANS,and the regulatory genes AN4,DPL,PHZ and MYBx were found to be downregulated under red light condition compared with their levels under white light condition.Furthermore,the light photoreceptor Cryptochrome 3(CRY3)and a series of light-dependent genes,such as PIF,HY5,andBBXs,were also determined to respond to the light treatments.The anthocyanin contents in early petunia petals under red light were significantly lower than that under white and blue light.The results of qRT-PCR further confirmed the expression pattern of some AS-related and light-response genes in response to different light quality.Yeast two-hybrid results showed that the key elements in the light signal pathway,HY5 can interact with BBX19,BBX24 and BBX25.And PHZ,the important AS regulator can induce anthocyanin synthesis in response to blue light quality fromtransient expression analysis in petunia petals.These findings presented here not only deepen our understanding of how light quality controls anthocyanin synthesis,but also allow us to explore potential target genes for improving pigment production in petunia flower petals. | Zhenzhu Fu Hongquan Shang Hui Jiang Jie Gao Xiaoyu Dong Huijuan Wang Yanmin Li Limin Wang Jing Zhang Qingyan Shu Yacong Chao Menglan Xu Rui Wang Liangsheng Wang Hechen Zhang | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6: | 7 |
| 7 | Digitally determining forest inventory units with an ecological classification system显示文摘Management-level forest resource data in China were obtained with a combination of two forest inventories. However, inconsistencies in the spatial attributes of forest data vary between the two inventory types and between two inventories of the same type. The inconsistencies make it inconvenient for long-term forest management planning with digital technologies. Ecological Land Types (ELTs) and Ecological Land Type Phases (ELTPs) have been mapped in selected forestry regions in northeast China, where important forest industries are located. The boundaries of ELTs are determined by geomorphic conditions, which are quantified by Digital Elevation Models (DEM); ELTPs are classified by overlaying ELTs with forest vegetation data layers that are obtained with both remotely sensed and ground data. The ELTPs represent the divisions of land in terms of both natural and human-induced forest conditions, and therefore they are reliable units for forest inventories and management. This paper introduces a case study for digitally determining forest inventory units in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, northeast China. | 8 | An online monitoring system for atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) based on stripping coil and ion chromatography显示文摘A new instrument for measuring atmospheric nitrous acid(HONO) was developed,consisting of a double-wall glass stripping coil sampler coupled with ion chromatography(SC-IC).SC-IC is featured by small size(50 × 35 × 25 cm) and modular construction,including three independent parts:the sampling unit,the transfer and supporting unit,and the detection unit.High collection efficiency(> 99%) was achieved with 25 μmol/L Na2CO3 as absorption solution even in the presence of highly acidic compounds.This instrument has a detection limit of 8 pptv at 15 min time resolution,with a measurement uncertainty of 7%.Potential interferences from NOx,NO2+SO2,NO2+VOCs,HONO+O3,HNO3,peroxyacetyl nitrite(PAN) and particle nitrite were quantified in laboratory studies and were found to be insignificant under typical atmospheric conditions.Within the framework of the 3C-STAR project,inter-comparison between the SC-IC and LOPAP(long path liquid absorption photometer) was conducted at a rural site in the Pearl River Delta.Good agreement was achieved between the two instruments over three weeks.Both instruments determined a clear diurnal profile of ambient HONO concentrations from 0.1 to 2.5 ppbv.However,deviations were found for low ambient HONO concentrations(i.e.< 0.3 ppbv),which cannot be explained by previous investigated interference species.To accurately determine the HONO budget under illuminated conditions,more intercomparison of HONO measurement techniques is still needed in future studies,especially at low HONO concentrations. | Peng Cheng Yafang Cheng Keding Lu Hang Su Qiang Yang Yikan Zou Yanran Zhao Huabing Dong Limin Zeng Yuanhang Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5: | 5 |
| 9 | Ternary mesoporous cobalt-iron-nickel oxide efficiently catalyzing oxygen/hydrogen evolution reactions and overall water splitting显示文摘Among various efficient electrocatalysts for water splitting,CoFe and NiFe-based oxides/hydroxides are typically promising candidates thanks to their extraordinary activities towards oxygen evolution reaction (OER).However,the endeavor to advance their performance towards overall water splitting has been largely impeded by the limited activities for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).Herein,we present a CoFeNi ternary metal-based oxide (CoFeNi-O) with impressive hierarchical bimodal channel nanostructures,which was synthesized via a facile one-step dealloying strategy.The oxide shows superior catalytic activities towards both HER and OER in alkaline solution due to the alloying effect and the intrinsic hierarchical porous structure.CoFeNi-O loaded on glass carbon electrodes only requires the overpotentials as low as 230 and 278 mV to achieve the OER current densities of 10 and 100 mA·cm-2,respectively.In particular,extremely low overpotentials of 200 and 57.9 mV are sufficient enough for Ni foam-supported CoFeNi-O to drive the current density of 10 mA·cm-2 towards OER and HER respectively,which is comparable with or even better than the already-developed state-of-the-art non-noble metal oxide based catalysts.Benefiting from the bifunctionalities of CoFeNi-O,an alkaline electrolyzer constructed by the Ni foam-supported CoFeNi-O electrodes as both the anode and the cathode can deliver a current density of 10 mA·cm-2 at a fairly low cell-voltage of 1.558 V.In view of its electrocatalytic merits together with the facile and cost-effective dealloying route,CoFeNi-O is envisioned as a promising catalyst for future production of sustainable energy resources. | Lulu Han Limin Guo Chaoqun Dong Chi Zhang Hui Gao Jiazheng Niu Zhangquan Peng Zhonghua Zhang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,9: | 5 |
| 10 | Virtual speed sensors based algorithm for expressway traffic state estimation显示文摘The accurate estimation of expressway traffic state can provide decision-making for both travelers and traffic managers. The speed is one of the most representative parameter of the traffic state. So the expressway speed spatial distribution can be taken as the expressway traffic state equivalent. In this paper, an algorithm based on virtual speed sensors (VSS) is presented to estimate the expressway traffic state (the speed spatial distribution). To gain the spatial distribution of expressway traffic state, virtual speed sensors are defined between adjacent traffic flow sensors. Then, the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors in time series are mapped to space series to design virtual speed sensors. Then the speed of virtual speed sensors can be calculated with the weight matrix which is related with the speed of virtual speed sensors and the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors and the speed data extracted from traffic flow sensors in time series. Finally, the expressway traffic state (the speed spatial distribution) can be gained. The acquisition of average travel speed of the expressway is taken for application of this traffic state estimation algorithm. One typical expressway in Beijing is adopted for the experiment analysis. | 11 | In vitro and in vivo analysis of the biocompatibility of two novel and injectable calcium phosphate cements显示文摘Calcium phosphate cements(CPCs)have been widely used as bone graft substitutes for many years.The aim of this study was to evaluate the biocompatibility of two novel injectable,bioactive cements:b-tricalcium phosphate(b-TCP)/CPC and chitosan microsphere/CPC in vitro and in vivo.This was accomplished by culturing mouse pre-osteoblastic cells(MC3T3-E1)on discs and pastes of CPCs.Cell growth,adhesion,proliferation and differentiation were assessed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide and alkaline phosphatase assays as well as by scanning electron microscopy and fluorescence.The effect of CPC paste curing was also evaluated.Implantation of two materials into the muscle tissue of rabbits was also studied and evaluated by histological analysis.Cell analysis indicated good biocompatibility in vitro.The fluorescence assay suggested that the cured material discs had no obvious effect on cell growth,while the curing process did.Histological examination showed no inflammatory cell infiltration into soft tissue.These data suggest that b-TCP/CPC and chitosan microsphere/CPC composites may be promising injectable material for bone tissue engineering. | Dan Meng Limin Dong Yafei Yuan Qingsong Jiang | 2019 | Regenerative Biomaterials2019,6,1: | 4 |
| 12 | Mapping forest fire risk zones with spatial data and principal component analysis显示文摘By integrating forest inventory data with remotely sensed data, new data layers for factors that affect forest fire potentials were generated for Baihe Forestry Bureau in Jilin Province of China. The principle component analysis was used to sort out the relationships between forest fire potentials and environmental factors. The classifications of these factors were performed with GIS, generating three maps: a fuel-based fire risk map, a topography-based fire risk map, and an anthropogenic-factor fire risk map. These three maps were then synthesized to generate the final fire risk map. The linear regression method was used to analyze the relationship between an area-weighted value of forest fire risks and the frequency of historical forest fires at each forest farm. Fine and pure powders of BaFe12O19 were optimally synthesized under the conditions of the pH value is 7 and citric acid/metal ion ratio is 3. The X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrates that no impurity is observed in the synthesized powders after presintered at 450 ℃ and calcinated at 1100 ℃. SEM observations indicate that the size of the synthesized BaFe12O19 powders is small and uniform distribution. | 18 | Performance simulation and optimization of new radiant floor heating based on micro heat pipe array显示文摘This paper proposes two new radiant floor heating structures based on micro heat pipe array(MHPA),namely cement-tile floor and keel-wood floor.The numerical models for these different floor structures are established and verified by experiments.The temperature distribution and heat transfer process of each part are comprehensively obtained,and the structure is optimized.The results show that the cement-tile floor has the better heat transfer performance of the two.When under the same inlet water temperature and flow rate,the keel-wood floor's surface temperature distribution is about 2℃ lower than that of the cement-tile floor.The inlet water temperature of cement-tile floor is about 10℃ lower than that of keel-wood structure when the floor surface temperature is the same.During a longitudinal heat transfer above MHPA,the floor surface temperature decreases by 0.5℃ for every 10 mm filling layer increase.In order to reduce the non-uniformity of the floor's surface temperature and improve the thermal comfort of the heated room,the optimal structure for a floor is given,with the maximum surface temperature difference reduced by 3.35℃.We used research focusing on new radiant floor heating,with advantages including high efficiency heat transfer,low water supply temperature,simple waterway structure,low resistance and leakage risk,to provide theory and data to support the application of an effective radiant floor heating based on MHPA. | Heran Jing Zhenhua Quan Ruixue Dong Limin Hao Yunhan Liu Yaohua Zhao | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,7: | 1 |
