| 1 | Mining the key regulatory genes of chicken inosine 5'-monophosphate metabolism based on time series microarray data显示文摘IMP(inosine 5'-monophosphate) is a compound that enhances the flavor of poultry meat.IMP has become a new breeding trait to improve poultry meat quality.We tried to identify several potential regulatory genes,and construct their predicted regulatory relationships.Time series gene expression profiles of thigh muscle tissues of Rugao chicken,a famous indigenous breed in China,were performed for analysis of genes that are co-expressed or correlated with the concentration of IMP.We found 15 crucial co-expression genes,which are Hspa2,Pten,Gabpa,Bpi,Mkl1,Srf,Cd34,Hspa4,Etv6,Bmpr2,Gde1,Igfbp5,Cd28,Pecam1 and Gja1,that may directly or indirectly regulate IMP metabolism.Eventually,we computed the correlation coefficient between 19 IMP Genes and 15 CGs(15co-expression genes),and we identified and constructed a predicted regulation network.In conclusion,variation of IMP concentration was primarily connected with the muscle development process.During this process,15 CGs were identified that may have significant influence on IMP metabolism.In particular,Bmpr2,Pten and co-expression genes correlated with Entpd8 might play important roles in regulating IMP de novo synthesis,decomposition and salvage synthesis. | Teng Ma Lu Xu Hongzhi Wang Jing Chen Lu Liu Guobin Chang Guohong Chen | 2015 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,3: | 6 |

| 4 | Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. | 5 | New Algorithm Rules Out Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure Development within 28 Days from Acute Decompensation of Cirrhosis显示文摘Background and Aims:Approximately 10%of patients with acute decompensated(AD)cirrhosis develop acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)within 28 days.Such cases have high mortality and are difficult to predict.Therefore,we aimed to establish and validate an algorithm to identify these patients on hospitalization.Methods:Hospitalized patients with AD who developed ACLF within 28 days were considered pre-ACLF.Organ dysfunction was defined accord-ing to the chronic liver failure-sequential organ failure as-sessment(CLIF-SOFA)criteria,and proven bacterial infec-tion was taken to indicate immune system dysfunction.A retrospective multicenter cohort and prospective one were used to derive and to validate the potential algorithm,re-spectively.A miss rate of<5%was acceptable for the calcu-lating algorithm to rule out pre-ACLF.Results:In the deri-vation cohort(n=673),46 patients developed ACLF within 28 days.Serum total bilirubin,creatinine,international normalized ratio,and present proven bacterial infection at admission were associated with the development of ACLF.AD patients with≥2 organ dysfunctions had a higher risk for pre-ACLF patients[odds ratio=16.58195%confidence interval:(4.271-64.363),p<0.001].In the derivation co-hort,67.5%of patients(454/673)had≤1 organ dysfunction and two patients(0.4%)were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 4.3%(missed/total,2/46).In the validation cohort,65.9%of patients(914/1388)had≤1 organ dysfunction,and four(0.3%)of them were pre-ACLF,with a miss rate of 3.4%(missed/total,4/117).Conclusions:AD patients with≤1 organ dysfunction had a significantly lower risk of developing ACLF within 28 days of admission and could be safely ruled out with a pre-ACLF miss rate of<5%. | Xiaoting Tang Hai Li Guohong Deng Xin Zheng Xianbo Wang Yan Huang Yanhang Gao Zhongji Meng Zhiping Qian Feng Liu Xiaobo Lu Yu Shi Beiling Li Wenyi Gu Xiaomei Xiang Yan Xiong Yixin Hou Jun Chen Na Gao Sen Luo Liujuan Ji Jing Li Rongjiong Zheng Haotang Ren Jinjun Chen | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Total Maximum Allocated Loads on Stoichiometry of Nitrogen and Identification of Critical Form in Jiaozhou Bay, China显示文摘Total pollutant load control management for total dissolved nitrogen(TDN) is an urgent task required to gain a good water quality status in Jiaozhou Bay(JZB), China. In this paper, the stoichiometry of multiform TDN on land-ocean interactions associated with marine biogeochemical reaction(LOIMBR) was studied by modeling the load-response relationship based on a three-dimensional water quality model of nitrogen in JZB. The results showed that the stoichiometry on LOIMBR of dissolved organic nitrogen(DON), NO3-N and NH4-N was 3:1:1, with one-third of the contribution on the concentration of dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN) in JZB for the land-based DON loads to DIN loads. Based on the stoichiometric relationship of nitrogen forms, the total maximum allocated load(TMAL) of equivalent TDN(ETDN) was approximately 5300 t a^-1 in JZB, equivalent to the TMAL of 5700, 5800 and 15600 t a^-1 for NH4-N, NO3-N and DON, respectively. According to the loads of ETDN, there were four outfalls overloaded in JZB in 2015, which lie in the head of the bay. In the four overloaded outfalls, besides NO3-N, NH4-N was the critical nitrogen control form for Moshui River, while DON for Dagu River and Haibo River. | 16 | Physiological Responses of Dendrobium officinale under Exposure to Cold Stress with Two Cultivars显示文摘This study aimed to explore the cold tolerance of two cultivars of Dendrobium officinale(MG1,MG2)grown in different regions of China.Under-2℃ incubation,cultivar MG1 remained active after 3 d,and continued to grow after returning to room temperature.However,MG2 could only maintain its activity after 2 d treatment at−2℃,and the seedlings died with the low temperature treatment time.Investigation of the characteristics of the plants grown in the south(Hangzhou)or north(Zhengzhou)of China indicated that the leaves of MG1 also had reduced stomatal density,the highest thickness,and a compact microstructure.The contents of proline and soluble sugars were higher in MG1 than those in MG2.The cultivar MG1 had higher SOD enzyme activity than MG2,while CAT and POD activities in samples from Zhengzhou were higher than those from Hangzhou.The contents of polysaccharides and alkaloids in stems of in MG1 were higher than those in MG2,while the content of flavonoids in the Zhengzhou samples was higher than that in the Hangzhou samples.In addition,plant heights,stem diameters,and chlorophyll content were higher in MG1.Overall,MG1 had better cold resistance than MG2.MG1 is a cold tolerant cultivar with thick leaves and reduced stomatal density,higher contents of soluble sugars,proline,CAT,POD,polysaccharides,flavonoids and alkaloids,which together make it more adaptable to low temperatures.Thus,the cultivar MG1,with its demonstrated cold tolerance,can accordingly be grown on a large scale in cold regions,thereby expanding the available planting area for this important traditional medicinal plant to meet the increasing commercial demand for it. | Shuaishuai Zhang Jin Li Yongchang Shen Linda Nartey Korkor Qian Pu Jin Lu Balock Shakeela Dedong Kong Ou Li Guohong Zeng Xiufang Hu | 2020 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,3: | 0 |
