| 1 | Porphyrin-like Fe-N4 sites with sulfur adjustment on hierarchical porous carbon for different rate-determining steps in oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘We developed a strategy based on coordination polymer to synthesize singleatom site Fe/N and S-codoped hierarchical porous carbon (Fe1/N,S-PC).The as-obtained Fe1/N,S-PC exhibited superior oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) performance with a half-wave potential (Ev2,0.904 V vs.RHE) that was better than that of commercial Pt/C (E1/2,0.86 V vs.RHE),single-atom site Fe/N-doped hierarchical porous carbon (Fe1/N-PC) without S-doped (E1/2,0.85 V vs.RHE),and many other nonprecious metal catalysts in alkaline medium.Moreover,the Fe1/N,S-PC revealed high methanol tolerance and firm stability.The excellent electrocatalytic activity of Fe1/N,S-PC is attributed to the synergistic effects from the atomically dispersed porphyrin-like Fe-N4 active sites,the heteroatom codoping (N and S),and the hierarchical porous structure in the carbon materials.The calculation based on density functional theory further indicates that the catalytic performance of Fe1/N,S-PC is better than that of Fe1/N-PC owing to the sulfur doping that yielded different rate-determining steps. | Konglin Wu Xin Chen Shoujie Liu Yuan Pan Weng-Chon Cheong Wei Zhu Xing Cao Rongan Shen Wenxing Chen Jun LUO Wensheng Yan Lirong Zheng Zheng Chen Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li | 2018 | Nano Research2018,11,12: | 18 |

| 3 | Responses of biotic interactions of dominant and subordinate species to decadal warming and simulated rotational grazing in Tibetan alpine meadow显示文摘Warming increases competition among plant species in alpine communities by ameliorating harsh environmental conditions,such as low temperatures. Grazing, as the main human activity, may mitigate the effect of warming, as previously reported.However, it is critical to refine the effects of warming on biotic interactions among species, for example, by taking the competitive ability of species into consideration. Based on a 10-year warming and grazing experiment in a Tibetan alpine meadow, we evaluated interspecific biotic interactions of dominant and subordinate species, using the approach of interspecific spatial associations. Warming significantly increased competition between subordinate and dominant species as well as among subordinate species, but not among dominant species. Moreover, facilitation of dominant-subordinate species also increased under warming. Simulated rotational grazing had similar effects to warming, with increasing interspecific competition. Our results show that, when studying the effects of warming on biotic interactions among species, it is necessary to characterize different species pairs relative to their competitive ability, and that simulated rotational grazing does not mitigate the effects of warming in the long term. | 5 | Fluorine emission from combustion of steam coal of North China Plate and Northwest China显示文摘To study the amount of fluorine emission from the combustion of the steam coal (mainly Permo-Carbonif-erous coal) from the North China Plate and Northwest China, the fluorine contents of the coal, the fly ash and the cinder in high-temperature power stations as well as mid-low temperature power stations have been analyzed. This note provides a rough estimate of the total annual amount of fluorine emission as well as emission ratio from steam coal combustion in China. Our results show that by combustion of 1 t of Permo-Carboniferous coal (containing roughly 100 g fluorine), high-temperature power stations emit roughly 90 g fluorine into the atmosphere. The fluorine emission ratio of coal combustion in high-temperature power stations is about 96% and that in mid-low temperature power stations is about 78%. A total of 800 million tons of coal is burnt in China every year, and the coal comes mainly from Permo-Carboniferous deposite in the North China Plate and Northwest China coal mines. | 15 | Single-atom nanozymes with axial ligand-induced self-adaptive conformation in alkaline medium boost chemiluminescence显示文摘Mimicking the structure of natural enzymes for designing advanced alternatives provides great opportunities to address the bottleneck of enzyme-involved chemiluminescence(CL). Herein, according to theoretical calculations, we found that an endogenous axial ligand of M-N-C single-atom nanozymes(SAzymes), originating from OH-spontaneously bonding to the metal center in an alkaline medium, can self-adaptively change its strength to facilitate intermediate steps. Furthermore, the lowest energy barrier of the rate-determining step and the strongest affinity and fastest electron transfer with luminol anion endow CoN-C with the highest peroxidase-like activity. Guided by the theoretical calculations, a series of M-N-C SAzymes(M=Fe, Co,Ni) were synthesized to boost CL, where Co-N-C SAzymes with superior catalytic activity and high selective generation of O_(2)·- were validated. | 18 | Weighted single-step GWAS and RNA sequencing reveals key candidate genes associated with physiological indicators of heat stress in Holstein cattle显示文摘Background: The study of molecular processes regulating heat stress response in dairy cattle is paramount for developing mitigation strategies to improve heat tolerance and animal welfare. Therefore, we aimed to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) regions associated with three physiological indicators of heat stress response in Holstein cattle, including rectal temperature(RT), respiration rate score(RS), and drooling score(DS). We estimated genetic parameters for all three traits. Subsequently, a weighted single-step genome-wide association study(WssGWAS) was performed based on 3200 genotypes, 151,486 phenotypic records, and 38,101 animals in the pedigree file. The candidate genes located within the identified QTL regions were further investigated through RNA sequencing(RNA-seq) analyses of blood samples for four cows collected in April(non-heat stress group) and four cows collected in July(heat stress group).Results: The heritability estimates for RT, RS, and DS were 0.06, 0.04, and 0.03, respectively. Fourteen, 19, and 20 genomic regions explained 2.94%, 3.74%, and 4.01% of the total additive genetic variance of RT, RS, and DS, respectively. Most of these genomic regions are located in the Bos taurus autosome(BTA) BTA3, BTA6, BTA8, BTA12, BTA14, BTA21, and BTA24. No genomic regions overlapped between the three indicators of heat stress, indicating the polygenic nature of heat tolerance and the complementary mechanisms involved in heat stress response. For the RNA-seq analyses, 2627 genes were significantly upregulated and 369 downregulated in the heat stress group in comparison to the control group. When integrating the WssGWAS, RNA-seq results, and existing literature, the key candidate genes associated with physiological indicators of heat stress in Holstein cattle are: PMAIP1, SBK1, TMEM33, GATB, CHORDC1, RTN4IP1, and BTBD7.Conclusions: Physiological indicators of heat stress are heritable and can be improved through direct selection. Fifty-three QTL regions associated with heat stress indicators confirm the polygenic nature and complex genetic determinism of heat tolerance in dairy cattle. | 19 | Association between the Lung Immune Prognostic Index and mortality in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy-associated interstitial lung disease显示文摘Objective:To explore the association between the Lung Immune Prognostic Index(LIPI)and 1-year all-cause mortality in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathy related interstitial lung disease(IIM-ILD).Methods:Patients who were diagnosed with IIM-ILD at West China Hospital,Sichuan University from January 2008 to December 2021 were retrospectively included and categorized into three groups based on LIPI.Univariable and multivariable Cox proportional hazards models were conducted to explore potential association between the LIPI and patients'mortality.Results:A total of 1116 patients were screened,and 830 were included in this study.The multivariable Cox analysis showed that,compared with patients with poor LIPI,the hazard ratio(HR)for all-cause 1-year mortality was 0.22(95%CI 0.05-0.93,P=0.04)for patients in the good LIPI group(LDH<250 IU/L and dNLR<3).After excluding patients lost to follow-up within one year,a similar result was found for LIPI(HR 0.20,95%CI 0.05-0.86;P=0.03).Conclusions:Good LIPI was independently associated with decreased risk of all-cause 1-year mortality in patients with IIM-ILD.This easy-to-obtain index might be served as a potential marker for assessing the prognosis of IIM-ILD. | Dan Luo Zhihao Zhao Caizheng Li Wenjun Zhu Wei Zhou Lirong He Huifeng Yan Qiaoli Su | 2023 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2023,16,11: | 0 |
| 20 | Efficient light-driven reductive amination of furfural to furfurylamine over ruthenium-cluster catalyst显示文摘Selective reductive amination of carbonyl compounds with high activity is very essential for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry,but scarcely successful paradigm was reported via efficient photocatalytic reactions.Herein,the ultrasmall Ru nanoclusters(~0.9 nm)were successfully fabricated over P25 support with positive charged Ru^(δ+)species at the interface.A new route was developed to achieve the furfural(FAL)to furfurylamine(FAM)by coupling the light-driven reductive amination and hydrogen transfer of ethanol over this type catalyst.Strikingly,the photocatalytic activity and selectivity are strongly dependent on the particle size and electronic structure of Ruthenium.The Ru^(δ+)species at the interface promote the formation of active imine intermediates;moreover,the Ru nanoclusters facilitate the separation efficiency of electrons and holes as well as accelerate the further hydrogenation of imine intermediates to product primary amines.In contrast Ru particles in larger nanometer size facilitate the formation of the furfuryl alcohol and excessive hydrogenation products.In addition,the coupling byproducts can be effectively inhibited via the construction of sub-nanocluster.This study offers a new path to produce the primary amines from biomass-derived carbonyl compounds over hybrid semiconductor/metal-clusters photocatalyst via light-driven tandem catalytic process. | Zhen Xue Shasha Wu Yujing Fu Lan Luo Min Li Zhenhua Li Mingfei Shao Lirong Zheng Ming Xu Haohong Duan | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1: | 0 |
