| 1 | A complete genome assembly of Glaciecola mesophila sp. nov. sequenced by using BIGIS-4 sequencer system显示文摘Using a pyrosequencing-based custom-made sequencer BIGIS-4, we sequenced a Gram-negative bacterium Glaciecola mesophila sp. nov. (Gmn) isolated from marine invertebrate specimens. We generated 152043 sequencing reads with a mean high-quality length of 406 bp, and assembled them using the BIGIS-4 post-processing module. No systematic low-quality data was detected beyond expected homopolymer-derived errors. The assembled Gmn genome is 5144318 bp in length and harbors 4303 annotated genes. A large number of metabolic genes correspond to various nutrients from surface marine invertebrates. | 2 | Precast system and assembly connection of cement concrete slabs for road pavement: A review显示文摘Prefabricated pavement is increasingly applied worldwide due to the rapid construction on-site.This paper presents a state-of-the-art review of the precast systems and assembly connection of concrete slabs,as well as the precast pavement features.The previous research indicates that:(1)both super-slab and Michigan systems are recommended with the satisfied road performance close to the cast-in-place;(2)flexible base material is suggested for the fabricated pavement for the satisfied leveling and stress distribution;(3)to prevent the voiding phenomenon of the fabricated pavement,the sand cushion course,dry mixed mortar or self-leveling mortar,and other flowable materials could be used for the secondary leveling of the base after the pavement splicing;(4)two-direction dowel bars are recommended for slab connections of the fabricated pavement,which helps to improve the load transfer capacity of the joints and enhance the durability of the fabricated pavement structure;(5)the sealing treatment of precast slab joints needs strengthening to reduce the impact of surface runoff on the base course;(6)the further research focuses are designing with functional,composite,mechanized,intelligent,lightweight,and flexible pavement slabs.Besides,pavement mechanical properties induced by temperature overlapping traffic loads need to be revealed. | Mingjing Fang Ran Zhou Wenhui Ke Bo Tian Yubin Zhang Jianjun Liu | 2022 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2022,9,2: | 3 |
| 3 | miR-7/TGF-β2 axis sustains acidic tumor microenvironment-induced lung cancer metastasis显示文摘Acidosis,regardless of hypoxia involvement,is recognized as a chronic and harsh tumor microenvironment(TME)that educates malignant cells to thrive and metastasize.Although overwhelming evidence supports an acidic environment as a driver or ubiquitous hallmark of cancer progression,the unrevealed core mechanisms underlying the direct effect of acidification on tumorigenesis have hindered the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and clinical therapy.Here,chemical-induced and transgenic mouse models for colon,liver and lung cancer were established,respectively.miR-7 and TGF-β2 expressions were examined in clinical tissues(n=184).RNA-seq,miRNA-seq,proteomics,biosynthesis analyses and functional studies were performed to validate the mechanisms involved in the acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis.Our data show that lung cancer is sensitive to the increased acidification of TME,and acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis via inhibition of miR-7-5 p.TGF-β2 is a direct target of miR-7-5 p.The reduced expression of miR-7-5 p subsequently increases the expression of TGF-β2 which enhances the metastatic potential of the lung cancer.Indeed,overexpression of miR-7-5 p reduces the acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Furthermore,the human lung tumor samples also show a reduced miR-7-5 p expression but an elevated level of activated TGF-β2;the expressions of both miR-7-5 p and TGF-β2 are correlated with patients’survival.We are the first to identify the role of the miR-7/TGF-β2 axis in acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Our study not only delineates how acidification directly affects tumorigenesis,but also suggests miR-7 is a novel reliable biomarker for acidic TME and a novel therapeutic target for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)treatment.Our study opens an avenue to explore the p H-sensitive subcellular components as novel therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. | Tao Su Suchao Huang Yanmin Zhang Yajuan Guo Shuwei Zhang Jiaji Guan Mingjing Meng Linxin Liu Caiyan Wang Dihua Yu Hiu-Yee Kwan Zhiying Huang Qiuju Huang Elaine Lai-Han Leung Ming Hu Ying Wang Zhongqiu Liu Linlin Lu | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Effects of imazethapyr spraying on plant growth and leaf surface microbial communities in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Imazethapyr (IM) is an acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibiting herbicide that has been widely used in recent years.However,IM spraying can lead to the accumulation of herbicide residues in leaves.Here,we determined the effects of IM spraying on the plant growth and leaf surface microbial communities of Arabidopsis thaliana after 7 and 14 days of exposure.The results suggested that IM spraying inhibited plant growth.Fresh weight decreased to 48% and 26% of the control value after 7 and 14 days,respectively,of 0.035 kg/ha IM exposure.In addition,anthocyanin content increased 9.2-fold and 37.2-fold relative to the control content after 7 and 14 days of treatment,respectively.Furthermore,IM spraying destroyed the cell structures of the leaves,as evidenced by increases in the number of starch granules and the stomatal closure rate.Reductions in photosynthetic efficiency and antioxidant enzyme activity were observed after IM spraying,especially after 14 days of exposure.The diversity and evenness of the leaf microbiota were not affected by IM treatment,but the composition of community structure at the genus level was altered by IM spraying.Imazethapyr application increased the abundance of Pseudomonas,a genus that includes species pathogenic to plants and humans,indicating that IM potentially increased the abundance of pathogenic bacteria on leaves.Our findings increase our understanding of the relationships between herbicide application and the microbial community structures on plant leaves,and they provide a new perspective for studying the ecological safety of herbicide usage. | Wanyue Liu Mingjing Ke Zhenyan Zhang Tao Lu Youchao Zhu Yan Li Xiangliang Pan Haifeng Qian | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,11: | 2 |
| 5 | Preparation of isotropic Sm_2Fe_(17)N_x magnetic powders and their bonded magnets显示文摘The isotropic Sm2Fe17Nx magnetic powders were prepared by Hydrogenation-Disproportion-Desorption-Recombination (HDDR) process. The phase and microstructure evolutionary process of Sm-Fe alloy during the solidification, homogenization, HDDR and nitration processes were investigated by means of XRD, SEM, EDX and AFM. The results show that the homogeneous Sm2Fe17 alloy was successfully obtained and the impurity phases and residual stress were well removed by heated at 1050 ℃ for 24 h. When heated at 800 ℃ for 1h in H2 of 0.1 MPa, the alloy turns into SmHx and α-Fe with plenty of nanocrystals. After vacuumized at 800 ℃ for 2 h the alloy recombines into Sm2Fe17 with a crystal grain size of about 85 nm. The lattice constant of the alloy increases and the expanding of the crystal cell reaches 6.28% after nitrified at 500 ℃ for 5 h. | 6 | A state-of-the-art review on shallow geothermal ventilation systems with thermal performance enhancement-system classifications,advanced technologies and applications显示文摘Geothermal energy with abundance and large quantity can partially cover building heating/cooling loads and promote the carbon-neutrality transitions.Shallow geothermal ventilation(SGV)system,with a little initial in-vestment cost,is one of promising technologies to partly replace the conventional air-conditioning system for air pre-cooling/pre-heating.This paper reviews applications of SGV system for improving thermal performance over latest two decades,which mainly includes the reclassification of SGV system,coupling with other advanced energy-saving technologies,application potentials for building cooling/heating under various weather conditions.Heat transfer mechanism and mathematical modelling techniques have been reviewed,together with in-depth analysis on current research trends,existing limitations,and recommendations of SGV system.Phase change materials,with considerable latent energy density,can stabilize the thermal performance with high reliability.The review identifies that optimization designs and advanced approaches need to be investigated to address the existing urgent issues of SGV system(e.g.,large land occupation,difficulty in centralized collection of condensate water timely for horizontal buried pipe,bacteria growth,polluted supply air,and high construction cost for ver-tical buried pipe).A plenty of studies show that the SGV system could greatly expand the application scope and improve system energy efficiency by combining with other energy-saving technologies.This paper will provide some guidelines for the scientific researchers and engineers to keep track on recent advancements and research trends of SGV system for the building thermal performance enhancement and pave path for future research works. | Zhengxuan Liu Mingjing Xie Yuekuan Zhou Yingdong He Lei Zhang Guoqiang Zhang Dachuan Chen | 2023 | Energy and Built Environment2023,4,2: | 1 |

| 17 | DEM investigation of weathered rocks using a novel bond contact model显示文摘The distinct element method(DEM) incorporated with a novel bond contact model was applied in this paper to shed light on the microscopic physical origin of macroscopic behaviors of weathered rock, and to achieve the changing laws of microscopic parameters from observed decaying properties of rocks during weathering. The changing laws of macroscopic mechanical properties of typical rocks were summarized based on the existing research achievements. Parametric simulations were then conducted to analyze the relationships between macroscopic and microscopic parameters, and to derive the changing laws of microscopic parameters for the DEM model. Equipped with the microscopic weathering laws, a series of DEM simulations of basic laboratory tests on weathered rock samples was performed in comparison with analytical solutions. The results reveal that the relationships between macroscopic and microscopic parameters of rocks against the weathering period can be successfully attained by parametric simulations.
