2Immunomodulatory effect of human amniotic epithelial cells on restoration of ovarian function in mice with autoimmune ovarian disease显示文摘Autoimmune ovarian disease(AOD)is considered to be a major cause of premature ovarian failure(POF).The immunomodulatory properties of human amniotic epithelial cells(hAECs)have been studied in many disease models.We previously reported that hAECs restored ovarian function in chemotherapy-induced POF mice,but the immunomodulatory mechanism of hAECs is still unclear.To investigate the effect of hAECs on recipient mice,especially on regulatory Treg cells,hAECs and hAEC-conditioned medium(hAEC-CM)were intravenously injected into AOD mice immunized with zona pellucida protein 3 peptides(pZP3).Ovarian function was evaluated through estrous cycle,hormone secretion,follicle development,and cell apoptosis analysis.Immune cells including CD3,CD4,CD8 and Treg cells in the spleens were tested by flow cytometry.To elucidate the effect of hAEC-CM on macrophage function,inflammation model in vitrowas established in RAW264.7 cells induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS).hAECs and hAEC-CM regulated estrous cycles,promoted follicle development,ameliorated cell apoptosis and fibrosis in ovaries of AOD mice.In addition,hAECs significantly reversed the decrease of pZP3-induced Treg cells in the spleens.In vitro,hAEC-CM significantly inhibited the inflammatory reaction induced by LPS in RAW264.7 cells via up-regulating the expression of M2 macrophage genes.Further study demonstrated that hAECsecreted transforming growth factor-beta and macrophage inhibitory factor played important roles in the macrophage polarization and migration under inflammatory stimulation.Taken together,hAECs restored ovarian function by up-regulating Treg cells in the spleens and reduced the inflammatory reaction via modulating the activated macrophage function in a paracrine manner in the ovaries of AOD mice.Qiuwan Zhang Yating Huang Junyan Sun Tingting Gu Xiaoyan Shao Dongmei Lai 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,8:14
3The study on the safety and efficacy of amnion graft for preventing the recurrence of moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions显示文摘Transcervical resection of adhesion(TCRA)is the standard treatment for the intrauterine adhesions,but the recurrence of adhesions is a tough problem for the gynecologist.In addition,the therapeutic strategy after TCRA about prevention of recurrence remains controversial especially for the patients with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions(IUAs).Hence,we designed this study to explore the safety and efficacy of fresh amnion grafts for preventing the recurrence after TCRA for patients with moderate to severe IUAs.One hundred patients with moderate to severe IUAs who presented with a history of hypomenorrhea,amenorrhea and infertility were included in the study from January 2015 to December 2017.Patients were divided into amnion group(52 patients)and chitosan group(48 patients).Fresh amnion grafts or intrauterine injections of chitosan were administered after TCRA.Transvaginal ultrasonography(TVUS)and hysteroscopy were performed at the first and third month after the operation.The surgical procedures for all patients were completed successfully without relevant complications.In amnion group,8 patients exhibited relapse in the first month and 2 patients in three months after surgery;in chitosan group,23 women exhibited relapse in the first month and 18 patients in three months after surgery.Statistical analysis revealed that the recurrence rate of adhesion in amnion group was significantly lower than those of chitosan group in the first and three months after surgery(P1=0.000,P2=0.000).After TCRA,fresh amnion graft plays a significant role in preventing further adhesions than injections of chitosan.Changjiang Li Aiqi Cai Congcong Sun Benyuan Wu Xinpei Chen Yanhua Mao Yingfeng Zhang Yating Gou Jie Yu Yuhan Wang Huanhuan Yu Jia Wang 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:11
4Terahertz metasurface zone plates with arbitrary polarizations to a fixed polarization conversion显示文摘Metasurfaces that can realize the polarization manipulation of electromagnetic waves on the sub-wavelength scale have become an emerging research field.Here,a novel strategy of combining the metasurface and Fresnel zone plate to form a metasurface zone plate is proposed to realize the conversion from nearly arbitrary polarizations to a fixed polarization.Specifically,when one polarized wave is incident on adjacent ring zones constructed by different types of meta-atoms,the transmitted waves generated by odd-numbered and even-numbered ring zones converge at the same focus and superimpose to generate a fixed polarized wave.As function demonstrations,we have designed two types of metasurface zone plates:one is a focused linear polarizer,and the other can convert nearly arbitrary polarized waves into focused circularly polarized waves.The simulated and measured results are consistent with theoretical expectations,suggesting that the proposed concept is flexible and feasible.Our work provides an alternative platform for polarization manipulation and may vigorously promote the development of polarization photonic devices.Zhen Yue Jitao Li Jie Li Chenglong Zheng Jingyu Liu Guocui Wang Hang Xu Mingyang Chen Yating Zhang Yan Zhang Jianquan Yao 2022Opto-Electronic Science2022,1,3:9
5Dynamic phase assembled terahertz metalens for reversible conversion between linear polarization and arbitrary circular polarization显示文摘If a metalens integrates the circular polarization(CP)conversion function,the focusing lens together with circular-polariz-ing lens(CPL)in traditional cameras may be replaced by a metalens.However,in terahertz(THz)band,the reported metalenses still do not obtain the perfect and strict single-handed CP,because they were constructed via Pancharatnam-Berry phase so that CP conversion contained both left-handed CP(LCP)and right-handed CP(RCP)components.In this paper,a silicon based THz metalens is constructed using dynamic phase to obtain single-handed CP conversion.Also,we can rotate the whole metalens at a certain angle to control the conversion of multi-polarization states,which can simply manipulate the focusing for incident linear polarization(LP)THz wave in three polarization conversion states,in-cluding LP without conversion,LCP and RCP.Moreover,the polarization conversion behavior is reversible,that is,the THz metalens can convert not only the LP into arbitrary single-handed CP,but also the LCP and RCP into two perpen-dicular LP,respectively.The metalens is expected to be used in advanced THz camera,as a great candidate for tradi-tional CPL and focusing lens group,and also shows potential application in polarization imaging with discriminating LCP and RCP.Jitao Li Guocui Wang Zhen Yue Jingyu Liu Jie Li Chenglong Zheng Yating Zhang Yan Zhang Jianquan Yao 2022Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,1:9
6MicroRNA-24 promotes pancreatic beta cells toward dedifferentiation to avoid endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced apoptosis显示文摘Current research indicates that beta cell loss in type 2 diabetes may be attributed to beta cell dedifferentiation rather than apoptosis;however,the mechanisms by which this occurs remain poorly understood.Our previous study demonstrated that elevation of microRNA-24(miR-24)in a diabetic setting caused beta cell dysfunction and replicative deficiency.In this study,we focused on the role of miR-24 in beta cell apoptosis and dedifferentiation under endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress conditions.We found that miR-24 overabundance protected beta cells from thapsigargin-induced apoptosis at the cost of accelerating the impairment of glucosestimulated insulin secretion(GSIS)and enhancing the presence of dedifferentiation markers.Ingenuity?Pathway Analysis(IPA)revealed that elevation of miR-24 had an inhibitory effect on XBP1 and ATF4,which are downstream effectors of two key branches of ER stress,by inhibiting its direct target,Irela.Notably,elevated miR-24 initiated another pathway that targeted Mafa and decreased GSIS function in surviving beta cells,thus guiding their dedifferentiation under ER stress conditions.Our results demonstrated that the elevated miR-24,to the utmost extent,preserves beta cell mass by inhibiting apoptosis and inducing dedifFerentiation.This study not only provides a novel mechanism by which miR-24 dominates beta cell turnover under persistent metabolic stress but also offers a therapeutic consideration for treating diabetes by inducing dedifferentiated beta cells to re-differentiation.Yunxia Zhu Yi Sun Yuncai Zhou Yan Zhang Tao Zhang Yating Li Weiyan You Xiaoai Chang Li Yuan Xiao Han 2019Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2019,11,9:9
7Joint Computing and Communication Resource Allocation for Satellite Communication Networks with Edge Computing显示文摘Benefit from the enhanced onboard processing capacities and high-speed satellite-terrestrial links,satellite edge computing has been regarded as a promising technique to facilitate the execution of the computation-intensive applications for satellite communication networks(SCNs).By deploying edge computing servers in satellite and gateway stations,SCNs can achieve significant performance gains of the computing capacities at the expense of extending the dimensions and complexity of resource management.Therefore,in this paper,we investigate the joint computing and communication resource management problem for SCNs to minimize the execution latency of the computation-intensive applications,while two different satellite edge computing scenarios and local execution are considered.Furthermore,the joint computing and communication resource allocation problem for the computation-intensive services is formulated as a mixed-integer programming problem.A game-theoretic and many-to-one matching theorybased scheme(JCCRA-GM)is proposed to achieve an approximate optimal solution.Numerical results show that the proposed method with low complexity can achieve almost the same weight-sum latency as the Brute-force method.Shanghong Zhang Gaofeng Cui Yating Long Weidong Wang 2021China Communications2021,18,7:8
8Separate lateral parametrial lymph node dissection improves detection rate of parametrial lymph node metastasis in early-stage cervical cancer: 10-year clinical evaluation in a single center in China显示文摘Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of separate lateral parametrial lymph node dissection(LPLND) in improving parametrial lymph node(PLN) and its metastasis detection rate during radical hysterectomy for early-stage cervical cancer.Methods: From July 2007 to August 2017, 2,695 patients with cervical cancer in stage IB1-IIA2 underwent radical hysterectomy were included. Of these patients, 368 underwent separate dissection of PLNs using the LPLND method, and 2,327 patients underwent conventional radical hysterectomy(CRH). We compared the surgical parameters, PLN detection rate and PLN metastasis rate between the two groups.Results: Compared with CRH group, the rate of laparoscopic surgery was higher(60.3% vs. 15.9%, P<0.001),and the blood transfusion rate was lower(19.0% vs. 29.0%, P<0.001) in the LPLND group. PLNs were detected in 356 cases(96.7%) in the LPLND group, and 270 cases(11.6%) in the CRH group(P<0.001), respectively. The number of PLNs detected in the LPLND group was higher than that in the CRH group(median 3 vs. 1, P<0.001).The PLN metastases were detected in 25 cases(6.8%) in the LPLND group, and 18 cases(0.8%) in the CRH group(P<0.001), respectively. In multivariable analysis, LPLND is an independent factor not only for PLN detection [odds ratio(OR)=228.999, 95% confidence interval(95% CI): 124.661-420.664;P<0.001], but also for PLN metastasis identification(OR=10.867, 95% CI: 5.381-21.946;P<0.001).Conclusions: LPLND is feasible and safe. 9Limited energy parametrial resection/dissection during modified laparoscopic nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of using ultrasonic scalpel combined with vascular clip in parametrial management,called limited energy parametrial resection/dissection(LEPRD),in laparoscopic nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy(NPSRH),a modified nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy(NSRH); and to evaluate its effectiveness in pelvic autonomic nerve preservation.Methods: From July 2012 to January 2016,257 consecutive patients with stage IB1 to IIA2 cervical cancer who underwent NPSRH were included in this study.Patients were divided into three cohorts according to the different parametrial resection modality.The clinical,pathological and surgery-related parameters were compared between the three groups.Short-and long-term postoperative bladder functions were evaluated.Results: LEPRD was attempted in 94 patients,and was successful in 65(69.1%) patients(LEPRD group).The remaining 29(30.9%) patients required bipolar coagulation after failure of vascular clipping(combined modality group).Routine bipolar cautery was used in the other 163 patients during the parametrial resection(bipolar group).The blood loss in the LEPRD group was significantly lower than those in the other two groups(P<0.001).The rate of successful Foley removal on postoperative day 7 was significantly higher in the LEPRD group than in the bipolar group(P=0.022).The incidence of chronic voiding dysfunction was significantly lower in the LEPRD group than in the bipolar group(P=0.019).Conclusions: It is feasible to perform LEPRD in NPSRH for cervical cancers.This kind of limited energy surgical technique is associated with less blood loss,and leads to improved postoperative bladder function.Dan Zhao Bin Li Yating Wang Shuanghuan Liu Yanan Zhang Gongyi Zhang 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,6:6
10Mass transfer in gas–liquid stirred reactor with various triple-impeller combinations显示文摘The gassed power demand and volumetric mass transfer coefficient(kLa) were investigated in a fully baffled,dished-base stirred vessel with a diameter of 0.30 m agitated by five triple-impeller combinations. Six types of impellers(six-half-elliptical-blade disk turbine(HEDT), four-wide-blade hydrofoil impeller(WH) pumping down(D) and pumping up(U), parabolic-blade disk turbine(PDT), and CBY narrow blade(N) and wide blade(W)) were used to form five combinations identified by PDT + 2CBYN, PDT + 2CBYW, PDT + 2WHD,HEDT + 2WHDand HEDT + 2WHU, respectively. The results show that the relative power demand of HEDT + 2WHUis higher than that of other four impeller combinations under all operating conditions. At low superficial gas velocity(uG), kLa differences among impeller combinations are not obvious. However,when uG is high, PDT + 2WHDshows the best mass transfer performance and HEDT + 2WHUshows the worst mass transfer performance under all operating conditions. At high uGand a given power input, the impeller combinations with high agitation speed and big projection cross-sectional area lead to relatively high values of kLa. 12All-solid-state BiVO4/ZnIn2S4 Z-scheme composite with efficient charge separations for improved visible light photocatalytic organics degradation显示文摘Constructing a Z-scheme is a significant approach to improve the separation of photogene rated carriers for effective organic pollutant degradation.Herein,a BiVO4/ZnIn2S4(BZ) Z-scheme composite was successfully synthesized,and applied to photodegrade methyl orange(MO) irradiated by a LED lamp.Anchoring the BiVO4 on the ZnIn2S4 nanoparticles promoted the separation of photogenerated electronholes and broadened the light response range.The detailed characterizations,including surface morphology,elements valence state,and photocurrent performance,demonstrated that the enhanced separation of photogenerated carriers was the pivotal reason for the enhanced photocatalysis reaction.Benefiting from the excellent photocatalytic characteristics,the 5% mass ratio of BZ composite presented the highest MO degradation rate of 0.00997 min^-1,which was 1.9 and 10.3 times greater than the virgin ZnIn2S4 and BiVO4,respectively.Furthermore,the BZ hybrid materials indicated a well photo-stability in the four recycling tests.Deling Yuan Mengting Sun Shoufeng Tang Yating Zhang Zetao Wang Jinbang Qi Yandi Rao Qingrui Zhang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,2:5
13Terahertz wavefront shaping with multi-channel polarization conversion based on all-dielectric metasurface显示文摘Polarization manipulation of electromagnetic wave or polarization multiplexed beam shaping based on metasurfaces has been reported in various frequency bands.However,it is difficult to shape the beam with multi-channel polarization conversion in a single metasurface.Here,we propose a new method for terahertz wavefront shaping with multi-channel polarization conversion via all-silicon metasurface,which is based on the linear shape birefringence effect in spatially interleaved anisotropic meta-atoms.By superimposing the eigen-and non-eigen-polarization responses of the two kinds of meta-atoms,we demonstrate the possibility for high-efficiency evolution of several typical polarization states with two independent channels for linearly polarized waves.The measured polarization conversion efficiency is higher than 70%in the range of 0.9–1.3 THz,with a peak value of 89.2%at 1.1 THz.In addition,when more other polarization states are incident,combined with the integration of sub-arrays,we can get more channels for both polarization conversion and beam shaping.Simulated and experimental results verify the feasibility of this method.The proposed method provides a new idea for the design of terahertz multi-functional metadevices.JIE LI CHENGLONG ZHENG JITAO LI GUOCUI WANG JINGYU LIU ZHEN YUE XUANRUO HAO YUE YANG FUYU LI TINGTING TANG YATING ZHANG YAN ZHANG JIANQUAN YAO 2021Photonics Research2021,9,10:5

15Therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of NAFLD:A promising drug Potentilla discolor Bunge显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is characterized by excessive accumulation of hepatic lipids and metabolic stress-induced liver injury.There are currently no approved effective pharmacological treatments for NAFLD.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been used for centuries to treat patients with chronic liver diseases without clear disease types and mechanisms.More recently,TCM has been shown to have unique advantages in the treatment of NAFLD.We performed a systematic review of the medical literature published over the last two decades and found that many TCM formulas have been reported to be beneficial for the treatment of metabolic dysfunctions,including Potentilla discolor Bunge(PDB).PDB has a variety of active compounds,including flavonoids,terpenoids,organic acids,steroids and tannins.Many compounds have been shown to exhibit a series of beneficial effects for the treatment of NAFLD,including anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory functions,improvement of lipid metabolism and reversal of insulin resistance.In this review,we summarize potential therapeutic effects of TCM formulas for the treatment of NAFLD,focusing on the medicinal properties of natural active compounds from PDB and their underlying mechanisms.We point out that PDB can be classified as a novel candidate for the treatment and prevention of NAFLD.Longshan Ji Qian Li Yong He Xin Zhang Zhenhua Zhou Yating Gao Miao Fang Zhuo Yu Robim M.Rodrigues Yueqiu Gao Man Li 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:4
16Ultraviolet-to-microwave room-temperature photodetectors based on three-dimensional graphene foams显示文摘Highly sensitive broadband photodetection is of critical importance for many applications.However,it is a great challenge to realize broadband photodetection by using a single device.Here we report photodetectors(PDs)based on three-dimensional(3 D)graphene foam(GF)photodiodes with asymmetric electrodes,which show an ultra-broadband photoresponse from ultraviolet to microwave for wavelengths ranging from 10~2 to 10~6 nm.Moreover,the devices exhibit a high photoresponsivity of 10~3 A·W^-1,short response time of 43 ms,and3 d B bandwidth of 80 Hz.The high performance of the devices can be attributed to the photothermoelectric(PTE,also known as the Seebeck)effect in 3 D GF photodiodes.The excellent optical,thermal,and electrical properties of 3 D GFs offer a superior basis for the fabrication of PTE-based PDs.This work paves the way to realize ultra-broadband and high-sensitivity PDs operated at room temperature.YIFAN LI YATING ZHANG YU YU ZHILIANG CHEN QINGYAN LI TENGTENG LI JIE LI HONGLIANG ZHAO QUAN SHENG FENG YAN ZHEN GE YUXIN REN YONGSHENG CHEN JIANQUAN YAO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:4
17The petrographical and isotope geochemical tracers for deep ore-forming fluids from the Laowangzhai gold depoist in the northern part of the Ailao Mountains显示文摘Based on the petrological studies of wall rocks, mineralized rocks, ores and veins from the Laowangzhai gold deposit, it is discovered that with the development of silification, carbonation and sulfidation, a kind of black opaque ultracrystalline material runs through the space between grains and amphibole cleavages, which is the product of fast condensing consolidation with magma mantle fluids turning into hydrothermal crustal fluids in the process of mineralization and alteration. It is thought that the water in ore-forming fluids mainly derived from magmatic water through research on H-O isotopes, and C as well as S isotopic compositions, has clear mantle-derived characteristics, and rock (mine) stones contain high 87Sr/86 Sr ratios, low 143Nd/144 Nd ratios and high 206Pb/204 Pb ratios, which also reflects the ore-forming fluids were derived from the metasomatically enriched mantle. 19Cold Stress-induced Glucosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 is Involved in the Formation of Eugenol Glucoside in Camellia sinensis显示文摘Eugenol is a natural phenolic compound known for its health-promoting properties and its ability to add a floral scent to tea plants.Plant eugenol glycosides have been identified and shown to make important contributions to fruit floral quality.However,the details of their biosynthesis and metabolism in tea plants are still unknown.Here,eugenol glucoside was unambiguously identified as a native metabolite in the tea plant,and its biosynthesis was shown to be induced by low temperature treatment.Through the analysis of UGTs induced by low temperature,the glycosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 was identified in tea,and its encoded protein was shown to catalyze the glucosylation of eugenol.Vmax/Km ratios showed that eugenol was the most suitable substrate for CsUGT78A15.Sugar donor preference analysis showed that CsUGT78A15 had a higher selectivity for glucose,followed by galactose and glucuronic acid.The expression of CsUGT78A15was correlatedwith the accumulation of eugenol glucoside in different tissues and genotypes of tea.Down-regulation of CsUGT78A15 led to a decreased eugenol glucoside content under cold stress,indicating that CsUGT78A15 plays an important role in the biosynthesis of eugenol glucoside under cold stress.The identification of eugenol glucoside in the tea plant and the discovery of a cold stress-induced eugenol glucosyltransferase in tea provide the foundation for the improvement of tea flavor under cold stress and the biotechnological production of eugenol glucoside.Mingyue Zhao Binbin Cai Jieyang Jin Na Zhang Tingting Jing Jingming Wang Yuting Pan Zixiang Zhou Yifan Zhao Yingying Feng Feng Yu Mengting Zhang Yating Li Zhonghua Liu Chuankui Song 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6:4
20Self-powered,flexible,and ultrabroadband ultraviolet-terahertz photodetector based on a laser-reduced graphene oxide/CsPbBr3 composite显示文摘Self-powered and flexible ultrabroadband photodetectors(PDs)are desirable in a wide range of applications.The current PDs based on the photothermoelectric(PTE)effect have realized broadband photodetection.However,most of them express low photoresponse and lack of flexibility.In this work,high-performance,self-powered,and flexible PTE PDs based on laser-scribed reduced graphene oxide(LSG)∕CsPbBr3 are developed.The comparison experiment with LSG PD and fundamental electric properties show that the LSG∕CsPbBr3 device exhibits enhanced ultrabroadband photodetection performance covering ultraviolet to terahertz range with high photoresponsivity of 100 mA/W for 405 nm and 10 mA/W for 118μm at zero bias voltage,respectively.A response time of 18 ms and flexible experiment are also acquired at room temperature.Moreover,the PTE effect is fully discussed in the LSG∕CsPbBr3 device.This work demonstrates that LSG∕CsPbBr3 is a promising candidate for the construction of high-performance,flexible,and self-powered ultrabroadband PDs at room temperature.YIFAN LI YATING ZHANG ZHILIANG CHEN QINGYAN LI TENGTENG LI MENGYAO LIHONGLIANG ZHAO QUAN SHENG WEI SHI JIANQUAN YAO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,8:3
